For the liveliest atmosphere, July and August are peak season. If you prefer a quieter pace, May, June, and summer, September, and October are lovely, with the added bonus of fewer crowds.

Highlights include the crystal-clear waters of Cala Comte, the secluded bays of Cala Salada, breathtaking sunsets at Es Vedrà, and the pristine sands of Ses Illetes in Formentera

Our rent charters fee typically includes the rental of the yacht or boat itself, the attendance of a professional staff, and all necessary safety equipment. Standard provisions may cover basic amenities, but additional costs such as fuel, marina fees, food and beverage expenses, and any special requests (e.g., water sports equipment, guided tours) are usually not included and can be arranged for an extra fee. It's important to discuss these details upfront to tailor the charter to your preferences while managing budget expectations.

More than 90 days before the charter start date: Clients may cancel their booking and receive a full refund of any amounts paid, less an administrative fee to cover processing costs.

60 to 89 days before the charter start date: Clients are eligible to receive a 50% refund of the total charter fee.

Less than 60 days before the charter start date: No refunds will be available, as we are unlikely to rebook the yacht for the specified period on short notice.

We strongly recommend clients consider travel insurance that covers charter cancellations due to unforeseen circumstances such as illness or travel disruptions. This ensures that your investment is protected, and you can look forward to your luxury yacht charter experience with peace of mind.

Immediate Concerns: If your complaint is related to the yacht or services provided during your charter, we kindly ask you to inform the captain or the head crew member as soon as possible. Many issues can be resolved quickly when addressed in real time, ensuring the rest of your charter experience remains enjoyable

Formal Complaint: If your concern cannot be resolved during the charter or if it pertains to issues before or after your yacht experience, please submit a formal complaint in writing within 14 days of the charter's conclusion. You can email us directly at [email protected] .

Investigation Process: Upon receiving your complaint, our customer service team dealing with Ibiza Yacht Charter will conduct a thorough investigation.

Resolution: We aim to resolve all complaints within 30 days of receipt. We will provide you with a written response detailing the outcome of our investigation.

Ibiza Yacht Charter Q&A

For most Ibiza yacht charters to be secured, you will usually need to provide a completed charter agreement and 50% of the charter fee as a deposit. This is payable once the contract has been signed.

You will have a greater variety of yachts to pick from if you decide to start your charter in Ibiza or Mallorca compared to mainland destinations. Whilst Barcelona certainly has a considerable array of yachts to choose from, it is not as extensive as the islands. 

We also strongly recommend that you book your yacht charter in Ibiza at least three months in advance to ensure you get the yacht you desire. The longer you leave it, you'll find you'll have less choice available.

There is a yacht to suit almost every budget in Ibiza so rest assured that you will find a vessel suitable to your requirements.

But when booking do keep in mind the costs that aren't included in the base rate, namely VAT and the APA (Advance Provisioning Allowance). The APA is usually paid in advance of the charter and is commonly set at 30% of the charter fee. This allowance covers expenses such as fuel, berthing, food and drinks, as well as any special requests. 

Please consult your yacht charter broker for any other costs you may need to factor in.

May through till October is the best time to visit the sun-drenched shores of Ibiza. Temperatures can rise to a heady 31 degrees in July and August, with its waters reaching 26 degrees respectively.

Yachts will need to obtain a Spanish charter licence in order to cruise Ibizan waters, this is applicable if you are beginning or ending your charter in Spain.

Head to the northern part of Ibiza in the Balearic islands and you’ll find a beautiful, tranquil oasis with no night clubs in sight. Known for its stunning natural landscapes, the north offers serene beaches, lush pine forests and charming villages: a refreshing contrast to the bustling south. Birds Eye Pool View, Six Senses, Ibiza

Six Senses , the height of luxury without being the slightest ostentatious, is tucked away on the peaceful and private northern tip of the island. Six Senses Ibiza was one of only two Spanish hotels chosen for The World’s 50 Best Hotels 2023 . From the lovely hilltop location, the five star hotel offers stunning sea views, swimming, relaxation, wellness and great food. The entire resort has a feeling of quiet luxury.

Spread out over a 20-acre (8-hectare) site, the 137 rooms, suites and residences are beautifully designed and many have spacious balconies. Swimming is either in the expansive infinity pool or on the rocky, dramatic seaside below. Beside the pool, there’s a discreet spiral entrance down into a gorgeous spa with a rain shower hammam, dry sauna and jacuzzi with a floor to ceiling window with views to the outside. For the more energetic guests, there’s a fitness center and a yoga studio plus a wellness space where you can sign up for sound baths and other treatments.

Beach Caves at Six Senses, Ibiza

The food and beverage offering is excellent ranging from decadent breakfast buffets indoors or outside, lunch features a delicious range of sushi and poke bowls on a relaxing tree shaded outdoor terrace. For dinner there are various options but the Beach Caves with its sunset views and fantastic Latin influenced menu is astonishingly good (more on this below).

A double room at Six Senses starts from £456 per night based on two guests sharing a Hideaway Deluxe. Room rates include breakfast, access to the hotel’s daily schedule of activities as well as facilities including the spa and gym. Half board offers start from £743 per night based on two guests sharing a Sea View Junior Suite.

Cas Gasi, Ibiza

Inland, one of the best places to stay is Cas Gasi , a gorgeous boutique hotel set in an agritourismo which means almost all the food served is from the lush onsite gardens. It’s a peaceful little oasis which is secluded yet close to pretty towns and villages in the northern center of the island. Celebrating its 25th anniversary this year, the hotel led by friendly owner Margaret von Korff has practiced eco-friendly practices from the outset, such as reducing water consumption and promoting biodiversity.

The 19th-century former farmhouse has loads of character and the interiors are both cosy and chic. The carefully chosen furnishings and colorful decor in the guest rooms and public areas make guests feel like they’re staying in someone’s friendly country house. The 20 charming guest rooms of various sizes, some with balconies, are each decorated with vintage items and antiques. The room we stayed in has its entrance through a small library and has a gorgeous blue tiled bathroom and a separate dressing area.

Outside, there’s a lovely large pool set in beautiful gardens with cypress trees, palms and wild flowers. There’s also a small gym, and spa with jacuzzi and sauna and a petite heated pool.

You could quite happily while away all your time at Cas Gasi as the food is superb too. Talented Chef Boris Buono works with Margaret to create wonderful farm-to-table, all-day dining, using home grown, organic produce from their own farm and as well as local fish specials. If you do decide to venture off the property, ask about the pretty mostly wooded walk (or bicycle) to nearby Santa Gertrudis.

Hyde pool, Ibiza

In the middle of the island, on the opposite side frequented by clubbers, are the new Mondrian and Hyde hotels, located on a hill above a lovely sandy beach, Cala Longa. You can still enjoy the balearic beats around the pool if you’re so inclined or head to the beach below for a more peaceful atmosphere. Rates are from 300 euros.

The bar at Mira at Gathering, Ibiza

Mira , at Gathering, is a wonderful new outdoor restaurant with an art gallery that’s open in the evenings. The restaurant led by Sigfredo Scuticchio with ex-Nobu chef Giacomo Notarbartolo, features a stellar Mediterranean menu with seasonal small plates. The sculpture, pastel pink bar, furniture and fun, blown-glass breast-shaped lights are by Turner-prize winning artist Tai Shani.

Grass , a wonderful new vegan and vegetarian restaurant in Santa Gertrudis is from the owners of the popular Macao. And next door to Grass, carnivores will enjoy fine tapas with Iberico ham at the legendary Bar Costa .

La Paloma in San Lorenzo, set among orange groves Mediterranean menu has Middle-Eastern and North African accents, and features vegetables grown in the organic kitchen garden.

Niko at the Mondrian

The Japanese menu at Niko at Mondrian adapts seasonally, sourcing from local farms and fish markets, and features a generous menu of nagiri, maki and a sushi bar, where diners can see freshly caught fish prepared in front of them. And don’t miss the delicious miso black cod. Niko also offers two tasting menus with sushi, robata and chef’s selections.

The Beach Caves

The South American inspired menu at Beach Caves at Six Senses is incredible and perched on a rocky cliff over the sea, with indoor and outdoor tables, it’s also one of the best places on the island to see the sunset. The menu highlights include Ibiza farmer’s chicken with cashew nuts, sweet corn empanada and scallops aguachile

In Ibiza town, traditional seafood, daily fish and Ibizan stews accompanied by island wines are served with gusto at Ca n'Alfredo , one of the oldest restaurants on the island, in business since 1934.

What to See and Do

Gathering, Ibiza

The contemporary art and design scene is strong in the north part of the island especially. In Santa Gertrudis, you’ll find several excellent contemporary art galleries: Parra & Romero , Galeria Tambien and Estudio Laterna . And nearby in the small town of Sant Miquel de Balansat, the newest addition to the thriving art community is a former takeaway restaurant that has been transformed into Gathering , a chic gallery and excellent restaurant Mira. The new venture is sister gallery to Gathering in London’s Soho which opened in 2022 and is helmed by Founding Director Alex Flick and Gathering Ibiza Director Olga Shelkovnikova. The gallery’s inaugural exhibition, was Substance, a group show featuring works by Kristian Kragelund, Rannva Kunoy and Jennifer Tee. Next up will be Painting Not Painting, an exhibition with Stefan Brüggemann and Bruce Nauman , to coincide with the annual artfair, CAN , Contemporary Art Now, from 26-30 June. More than 30 galleries from across Europe, Asia, Australasia, South America and North America, are presenting the latest in contemporary art at the Ibiza fairgrounds in Dalt Vila, just outside Ibiza’s fortified old town.

Santa Gertrudis

For quirky shops, Santa Gertrudis is also a must visit. Parada , a newly opened concept store selling a well selected range of clothing, jewellery and housewares is spread across several rooms in the oldest building in Santa Gertrudis. And around the corner, Le Petit Atelier No 74 sells handmade knitwear, linen dresses, bags and more.

To find locally made products, most towns have weekly markets selling handmade baskets, flowing cotton dresses, olive oil, herbal liquor and soaps. Particularly good is the Sunday craft market at bohemian San Juan which features live music too.

Practicalities

Ibiza is around a two-hour flight from most major European cities with plenty of daily flights during the summer. A good choice from London is British Airways who fly several times a day from Heathrow and City airports.

Please see for attributions and further copyright information.       Spanish football bosses flew to Ibiza to harass star Jenni Hermoso amid Luis Rubiales sexual assault storm, court documents allege Videos of Spanish soccer player Jenni Hermoso sunbaking on a yacht in Ibiza made global headlines in the days after last year's World Cup final.  Spain's women's team had just won the sport's most prestigious competition in Sydney and were on the party island to celebrate. The star striker appeared in good spirits, laughing and wakeboarding in photos and videos posted on social media, despite a debate raging around her sparked by a kiss planted on her in the moments after the match from Royal Spanish Football Federation (RFEF) president Luis Rubiales. But behind the scenes, it's alleged Ms Hermoso, her friends and family were being harassed and intimidated by some of the most powerful men in Spanish soccer.  Court documents filed by prosecutors in Madrid allege RFEF marketing director Rubén Rivera and women's sports director Albert Luque turned up in Ibiza, but not to join the party. The documents allege the duo's mission was to get Ms Hermoso to record a video statement backing Mr Rubiales, and that when she refused, things went south. According to the documents, Mr Luque allegedly sent several WhatsApp messages to Ms Hermoso's friend expressing his anger and accusing the striker of "being a bad person, wishing her to be very lonely in life and announcing that he would be happy if that happened". The allegations contained in the documents set out a timeline of how a saga that started in Sydney exploded over subsequent days, first behind the scenes and later, into the global spotlight. Spain beat England 1-0 in the final at Stadium Australia on August 20, but their victory celebrations took a turn when Rubiales grabbed Hermoso's head and kissed her on the lips as she received her winner's medal on stage. While no-one is denying the incident took place — it happened in front of a packed crowd and television audience of millions — there was a fierce debate about whether the kiss was consensual in the days that followed. Mr Rubiales was subsequently charged with sexual assault, something he denies. Spanish prosecutors last month asked for a jail sentence if Mr Rubiales was convicted. Court documents submitted by the Spanish prosecutor's office allege the kiss was just the start of a series of criminal offences Mr Rubiales and his executive team subjected Ms Hermoso to in the days after the final.  Public prosecutor Marta Durantez Gil is also pursuing charges of coercion against four men within the RFEF: Mr Rubiales, then-women's team coach Jorge Vilda, Mr Rivera and Mr Luque. All the men deny the allegations, including that they tried to pressure Ms Hermoso into downplaying the kiss and that they harassed the star and her friends and family. The documents allege Mr Rubiales exerted "constant and repeated acts of pressure" on Ms Hermoso, with "the aim of publicly justifying and approving the kiss".  These acts of pressure are alleged to have begun immediately after the medal presentation ceremony in Sydney, with Mr Rubiales asking for Ms Hermoso to be sent out of the change rooms at Stadium Australia to speak with him.   "At this early state, Luis Rubiales had already urged the player to make a public statement about her acceptance of the kiss, which she did not agree with," Ms Durantez Gil said in her written statement, filed with the court. It's alleged that Ms Hermoso was then ordered to get off the team bus while travelling to Sydney airport to sign a press release drafted by the RFEF communications team, which was sent to the media despite the athlete not agreeing with its contents.  The statement said: "It was a totally spontaneous mutual gesture due to the immense joy of winning a World Cup. The president and I have a great relationship, his behaviour towards us has been excellent and it was a natural gesture of affection and gratitude". On the flight from Australia to Spain after the match, Mr Rubiales is accused of repeatedly approaching Ms Hermoso to persuade her to make a joint public statement exonerating him for the kiss.  When she refused, the prosecution alleges, Mr Vilda — who was the team's coach at the time — approached Ms Hermoso's family, who were on the same flight, and told her brother she would face negative consequences "both personally and in her professional career as a footballer" if she didn't record a video statement during their stopover in Doha. "Jennifer suffered a situation of harassment that prevented her from living her life in peace, tranquillity and freedom," Ms Durantez Gil said in the documents. Attempts to coerce Ms Hermoso to make a statement absolving Mr Rubiales are alleged to have continued during the team trip to Ibiza, which began two days after the final.  The court documents allege that the defendants' harassment of Ms Hermoso ended when Mr Rubiales was provisionally suspended by the sports global governing body, FIFA, on August 26.   He formally resigned from his role as RFEF president 16 days later.  If found guilty, the Spanish prosecutor has recommended 18-month prison terms for all four defendants for coercion and an additional year for Mr Rubiales for sexual assault. The unwanted kiss coincided with a significant change to Spain's sexual assault laws, which now enforce prison terms of one to four years for anyone who "commits any act against the sexual autonomy of another person without his/her consent".  The legal overhaul was triggered by nationwide protests over a gang rape at a festival in 2016 . This case is the most high-profile test of the new legislation. Mr Rubiales has repeatedly denied sexually assaulting the star forward and claims he received permission from Ms Hermoso before kissing her on the lips. Ms Hermoso denied giving permission and has previously said the incident left her feeling "vulnerable and a victim of aggression", in a statement she posted on social media. In an interview with Spanish TV program La Sexta last week, Mr Rubiales said he was facing trial over the kiss "because I am a man".  "Whoever sees the images … I can't understand that anyone would consider it a sexual assault," Mr Rubiales said.   In response to the allegations of coercion, he said that he "only spoke 10 or 15 seconds with Miss Hermoso". The interview was broadcast a day after Mr Rubiales was arrested as part of a separate investigation into allegations of corruption and money laundering at the RFEF during his time as president — something he also denies.
