REFIT 2016:
GLOBAL (formerly known as Kismet) was refitted in 2016 by its original building yard Lurssen. The new design-concept by thefount provides the now 74m superyacht with a completenew identity for exterior and some interior areas.
The design deploys the 6m elongation of the hull together with the extensions on bridge and upper decks to implement a horizontal black and white scheme for the decks. Lightness and luxury form a symbiosis which shapes the new face of GLOBAL interior – same as exterior wise.
The new stern design integrates a beach club and spa area into the lower deck, making use of the innovative inward-turning large stern door.
A newly created in and outdoor dining area with luxury wine lounge is adding a design and event highlight on the bridge deck aft for the owner and up to 12 accommodated guests.
The extension of a gym and large private office areas on the upper deck, the new owner's suite swing-out terrace same as the extended helipad underline the new special individual quality of the superyacht GLOBAL.
A successful cooperation of the owner with thefount, Lurssen and the fit out companies allowed for the realization of the sophisticated design concept including a complex technical refit of the whole boat within 8 months production time.

REFIT / MAINTENANCE 2020-2022: Location – ICON Yachts
• Classification Society Renewal Survey carried out • Replaced Auxiliary Engines (generator) with Tier III compliant • Upgrade of DEIE Delomatic Power Management System • Engine Room ventilation fans replaced • Hydraulic systems received 5 year service and replacement of hoses • Stabilisers 4,000 hour and 8,000 hour service • Grey Water tanks blasting and recoating • Engine room floor plates replaced for new anodised • AMCS software update to MareSystems • Main Engine works including o Wiring Harness Replacement o Valves and Hoses Replacement o Top end overhaul o Removal of start air system • Engine room & main engines painted • Engine room and technical spaces lighting upgraded to cool white lighting • Engine room bilge lighting installed • Upgrade provision cooling plant from SW to FW • HVAC Duct Cleaning • New supply of galvanised anchor chains • New supply of mirror polished anchors • Conversion of Ballast water system to Technical water system in accordance with Classification Society • Main Engine exhaust system upgrade • Annual survey & service of all fixed / loose Life Saving Appliances & fire Fighting Equipment • Annual survey & service of all fixed / loose liing appliances and equipment • Aft Hull scan and associated Naval Architecture support • Water Maker service and overhaul • Hot and Cold water circulation pumps replaced • Guest tenders sent back to build yard for full overhaul, re-build and painting
The refit in Holland included renewing all the mechanical and electrical systems in totality plus deep diving all tanks, and bilges and technical spaces. We renewed electrical switch boards, serviced emergency generator and exhaust systems etc. we did all mandatory survey works and mega tests of electrical installations etc . We fitted three new generators, added urea tank system, renewed electrical switchboard, added new transformers, shore power system, transformed the ballast water to technical water system to conform to ballast water convention new rules. There was a compete rebuild of the main engines, vibration analysis , drive line alignment, replacement of all fresh water and salt water systems and pumps, rebuild of hydraulic systems including stabilizers and rebuild of the sewerage system. Everything electrical and mechanical was done. The only thing not renewed was the stern thruster as it never required an overhaul based on hours.

Propelled by an owner intent on producing a masterwork of lasting impression, the collaborative efforts and creative will of naval architect Espen Oeino and interior design by Pascale Reymond springs to life as you take in each of the GLOBAL’s glorious decks. The sharp curves and soft angles that fuse the boat’s poetic exterior, complemented by an elegant interior that both subtly and strikingly blends elements of Art Deco and Persian décor, invite you to celebrate grand adventures and discover new worlds.
Built by the Lurssen shipyard , GLOBAL’s grace and style inspire you to breathe in the splendor at every turn and in every corner. “Since her launch in January of 2007, she has sailed from her Baltic birthplace to the Caribbean and back to the Mediterranean, performing more than admirably,” reports Kyle Fultz. As the captain of GLOBAL, Fultz offered expert supervision on its construction. “The opportunity to be involved in the building of GLOBAL was a golden one for me. Her superior range, stability, and state-of-the-art navigation and communication systems make her the ultimate platform for unlimited voyaging.”
