Definitely A great restaurant to dine for all occasions. We visited for mothers day this year party of 5 lovely table set up spacious.Food and service were amazing. The view from the roof was awesome!! We had a surf turf meal even the kids said their food was great. I Definitely appreciate the manager Jesse I beleive his name was walking around checking on customers. Its A+ for me will be booking again.

We had our wedding (a second wedding for both of us) at the Bayview last month. I cannot tell you how impressed we were with Maggie and her staff and the attention that they gave us. The service was fantastic. The food was excellent, and our guests are still raving about the venue and how fantastic our whole wedding was. Once again, I want to thank the whole staff at the Bayview for making our second wedding such a marvelous experience. Thank you so much! Brady Geril

Our Wedding at the Bayview

The Bayview is a beautiful venue! The food was great the newly renovated building is beautiful. The only downfall is that there isn't coverage in the roof for ceremonies/an indoor area for ceremonies. My friend who got married and thank goodness got lucky with no rain was told to buy her own tent...... I thought that was really ballsy to say to a bride considering how expensive a wedding already is. There should definitely be some type of moving roof of some sort so the clients have a choice and don't have to worry about crazy weather. Other then that food was good and the girl in charge of our table did an awesome job.

Had my daughters baby shower here the food, the service the people everything was fantastic. Definitely five stars.

I hosted a baby shower in the Veranda room for a friend at this venue.  The views are breathtaking.  What can I say other than this venue made the process of planning this shower from another state stress free.  Samantha was pleasant and made sure all decisions were made timely, questions were promptly answered, and last minute changes were accommodated.  I was able to meet her the day of the event and she was just as sweet in person. Our Maitre D, Jackie, was professional, courteous, helpful and made general suggestions on setup.  I never looked up and didn't see Jackie.  She was attentive to the parents to be and to any needs during the event. Jill and Fayzi who were also working our event jumped in to assist in the setup. They rock!!  I absolutely can't say enough about how much I appreciated their assistance.   Overall, the venue and the team delivered and went above and beyond my expectations.  If there is any doubt about this venue just book it.  You won't be disappointed.  Samantha, Jackie, Jill and Fayzi - thank you again for all your efforts.

First time there and both bartenders were pleasant, cheerful & absolutely awesome. The Jimmy James Band is so cool and talented. Jimmy James is actually so cool and met his wife as well. Live band The Jimmy James Band was totally fun fun fun. Great music. Great band. Great experience all around. Jimmy James wife (Aimee) is awesome. The entire establishment is high end decor to the max. Such an amazing use of decor that brightening the outdoor space. Tables as spaced enough that way you have some kind of privacy from the next table. 10 STARS if that's possible.

I was at Bayview on Father's with my family. It took over one hour for a server to take our drink orders. Every employee ignored our table every time we tried to get someone's attention. Finally, a server came to our table to take our orders she was extremely rude and unpleasant. Then it took another two hours for our food, no one checked in on our table or kept us informed on why our food took forever. The food was cold, with small portions and bland. Ambiance 10/10.

The restaurant, Waterview? Bayview? Whatever view you call it you're looking at a horrible meal. Not much fish on the menu, despite the location. Fish tacos ($20 appetizer) were promising but so doused in cole slaw that it ruined them. $17 Brussels sprouts were sickly sweet and greasy. Fish and chips were soggy, both the fish and the chips, which were actually house made potato chips, not fries. A bag of Lay's would have been better. Prime rib sandwich also came with soggy fries and was slathered in so much chipotle Mayo that you'd thought it was a mayo sandwich. There are better places to eat on the nautical mile!

Recently attended 2 parties at The Bayview. One was in the larger catering room upstairs and the other was in the smaller room downstairs. Both parties were out of this world! The food was amazing, service was very attentive and not to mention, just a beautiful venue! Highly recommend for anyone looking for a beautiful place to book a party!

While the sport of sailing is the main focus of the Bayview Yacht Club today, the Club was founded in 1915 by four men, only one of whom might be called a sailor.  The history of the Club starts in Detroit, then spreads, not only throughout the Michigan area, but to the Atlantic Ocean then around the world.

Bayview has been a place where accomplishments on the water were more important than those off, where the mission of promoting the sport of sailing and those who sail, guides and informs everything about it. It is a Club whose members are there for one reason: to sail competitively.

So, how did Bayview start? With four men - Floyd Nixon, Lloyd Kurtzwarth, Perc Williamson and Paul Dietrich - who were looking for a place to fish and have fun on the water. They established Bayview in a corrugated-iron shack, on a dock about a mile downstream of the present location. The first sailboat to call Bayview home was Perc Scott’s “Wrinkle”, 18 feet at the waterline and capable of taking the entire membership out for a cruise.

By 1924, Bayview members extended the reach of the Club to the Atlantic Ocean by winning their class in the Bermuda race. Then in 1925, the Club launched its signature event that spread its fame and influence, the Bayview Mackinac race from Port Huron to Mackinac Island. This has become the longest continually run freshwater long distance sailboat race.
