  • Learn what’s new at the electric propulsion pavilion or get multi-species fishing tips at the Hook the Future demo series.
  • Hone your skills with over 50 scheduled seminars at the Fred’s Shed Interactive Learning Center.
  • Visit the AquaZone at Pride Park with its 40,000-gallon pool, in-water demos, and hands-on gear testing.

SuperYacht Miami tickets, which provide access to the most luxurious private yachts, are sold separately and start at $130.

Knowing the area

Comprehensive venue maps are available online so you know how each part of the show is laid out. Parking is plentiful, but traffic in Miami can be a bear so plan to use the free show transportation system, including water taxis and shuttle buses that will travel between venues. Leave the driving to someone else and you’ll be glad you did.

The Discover Boating Miami International Boat Show is hotly anticipated each year and a great way to spend your Presidents Day Weekend. Come for the shopping, stay for the interactive attractions, enjoy dining and cocktails, and then get out on the water. This is the grandpappy of boat shows and even if you’re new to boating, you may just find yourself developing a lifelong passion for the water.

Miami Boat Show 2024: Everything you need to know

miami-boat-show-2020

The Miami Boat Show (or to give it its full name, the Discover Boating Miami International Boat Show) is as glamorous and stylish as its host city.

Held every year in February, this is a key showcase for manufacturers to show off their latest models across four on-water locations and the recently revamped Miami Beach Convention Center and Pride Park.

It’s not just American brands either, with yards from all across the globe flocking to Florida to attract affluent showgoers.

When is the 2024 Miami Boat Show?

The 2024 event will take place from Wednesday February 14 to Sunday February 18.

The show opens each day at 10am and closes in the evening at 6pm on Wednesday on Thursday, 7pm on Friday and Saurtday, and 5pm on Sunday. However the legendary Miami parties go on long into the small hours.

How much are 2024 Miami Boat Show tickets?

Prices have yet to be confirmed for the 2024 show, but 2023 prices were as follows:

Standard day tickets start at $40 per adult and $15 per child, but due to the size of the show, we’d always recommend investing $70 in a two-day ticket.

Wednesday is press preview day, so if you want to be among the first to step aboard the world premieres, then you’ll need to pay an extra $20 for a Prime Time Preview ticket.

Furthermore, the Superyacht Miami experience at Island Gardens requires a separate ticket, priced at $125 for Thurs-Sun or $150 for Weds-Sun.

Or if you really want to push the boat out, you can buy a Windward VIP ticket for $375, which includes exclusive entry into the Windward VIP Clubs, a private concierge to book appointments, an open bar, food, and complimentary access to the Boat Show water taxi.

Which boats will be debuting at the 2024 Miami Boat Show?

The full line-up of boats making their debut at the 2024 Miami Boat Show is yet to be confirmed, but you can expect a wide range of world debuts from sportsboats to superyachts.

Rapper Travis Scott was arrested and booked at a Miami-Dade County jail after being accused of trespassing and disorderly intoxication charges.

Jacques Webster, aka Scott, was arrested at 1:44 am Thursday at the Miami Beach Marina after he was involved in a dispute with the crew onboard a charter boat, according to a police affidavit.

Miami Beach Police officers responded to a “disturbance” on a yacht. The 33-year-old rapper was “standing by the dock yelling” at people aboard the vessel and had a “strong smell of alcohol” on his breath. Officers asked Scott to leave. He left — before coming back and engaging in a dispute with the crew, prompting him to once again be asked to leave. When he refused, the rapper was arrested.

No details were released on what the dispute was about.

After he was taken into custody, Scott admitted that he had been drinking and said, “It’s Miami,”he said, according to the affidavit.

Travis Scott was arrested in Miami on trespassing charges. He is seen here in a 2019 concert.

There was no physical altercation during the dispute, sources familiar with the incident told The Independent .

The 10-time Grammy nominee was booked at Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center at 4.30am Thursday, booking records say.

He had submitted the $650 bond as of 9am. Sources said he has already returned home, adding there there will be not be any further action taken, as it was a minor incident similar to receiving a ticket.

On Thursday morning, the rapper wrote a simple message on X: “Lol.”

“Mr Scott was briefly detained due to a misunderstanding . There was absolutely no physical altercation involved, and we thank the authorities for working with us towards a swift and amicable resolution,” Scott’s legal representative Bradford Cohen told The Independent in a statement.

The singer-songwriter shares two children with Kylie Jenner. The couple split in January 2023.

Next week, Scott is scheduled to perform in Arnhem, Netherlands, a stop in his Circus Maximus tour.

In 2021, Travis Scott made headlines for his performance at the two-day Astroworld festival, when a “crowd surge” left ten people dead. A trial date for the final wrongful death civil related to the tragedy has been set for September.

The crowd surge happened when people pushed toward the front of the stage. Those who died suffered compression asphyxia, which experts say, is like being crushed by a car, according to the Associated Press .

The victims killed in the crowd surge ranged in age from 9 to 27 years old. It was the highest number of deaths at a concert since the 2003 fire at a Rhode Island nightclub killed 100.

There were more than 300 injured in the Astroworld incident.

Last year, the rapper recounted the tragedy to GQ : “I always think about it. Those fans were like my family. You know, I love my fans to the utmost.”

Musician Travis Scott arrested in Miami Beach for disorderly intoxication

Officers responded to a call at the marina saying there was a fight on a yacht

468843-01-02-(Read-Only)

Hip hop star Travis Scott was arrested on disorderly intoxication and trespassing charges on Thursday after a disturbance on a yacht in Miami Beach, Florida, local police said.

Miami Beach police officers took Scott, whose real name is Jacques Bermon Webster, 33, into custody at about 1.44 am local time at the city's marina, according to a police affidavit.

Officers responded to a call at the marina saying there was a fight on a yacht. They found Scott standing on the dock yelling at passengers on the vessel. Scott briefly obeyed officers commands to sit down, but continuously stood back up, officers wrote in the affidavit.

Police could sense "a strong smell of alcohol coming from the defendant's breath," they wrote. The complainant told officers that he did not want to press charges, but wanted Scott off the boat.

"Through the long walk from the vessel to the boardwalk, the defendant walked backwards yelling obscenities to the occupants of the vessel," officers wrote.

Scott's representatives could not be reached by Reuters.

Scott left the scene, but soon returned and headed back to the vessel, passing officers in the marina's parking lot who ordered him to stop. Scott was then taken into custody after he began to yell, creating a disturbance, the affidavit said.

In 2021, 10 fans were killed and thousands injured after the crowd surged toward the stage at the Grammy-nominated artist's Astroworld Festival in Texas. The rapper told GQ magazine he was "overly devastated" by the incident.

Travis Scott Arrested in Florida on Charges of Disorderly Intoxication and Trespassing After Yacht Argument

The rapper was detained by officers in the early hours of June 20. "Mr. Scott was briefly detained due to a misunderstanding," his attorney Bradford Cohen said

Dave Quinn is a Senior Editor for PEOPLE. He has been working at the brand since 2016, and is the author of the No. 1 New York Times best-selling book, Not All Diamonds and Rosé: The Inside Story of the Real Housewives from the People Who Lived It.

Travis Scott was arrested on Thursday, June 20, according to public records.

The 33-year-old rapper (né Jacques Bermon Webster II) was booked in Miami-Dade County, Florida, at 4:35 a.m. local time on charges of disorderly intoxication and trespassing on a property after a warning.

Both came with a bond that totaled $650, $150 for the intoxication charges and $500 for the other. Records show the bond had been submitted as of Thursday.

"Mr. Scott was briefly detained due to a misunderstanding," his attorney Bradford Cohen said in a statement. "There was absolutely no physical altercation involved, and we thank the authorities for working with us towards a swift and amicable resolution."

Representatives for the Miami Beach Police Department tell PEOPLE that Scott was arrested at approximately 1:44 a.m. following an incident at the Miami Beach Marina, located at 300 Alton Road.

Miami-Dade County Sheriff's Office

Authorities had been called to the incident on complaints of fighting on a yacht, officers wrote in an arrest affidavit obtained by PEOPLE. Upon arrival, they allegedly found Scott "yelling at the vessel occupants."

"Officers made contact with [Scott] to conduct an investigation," the affidavit reads. "The defendant was asked by officers to sit down, at which point [he] temporarily sat down and then began continuously standing back up, disregarding officers' commands. Throughout the interaction, officers on scene could sense a strong smell of alcohol coming from the defendants' breath."

Though the complainant did not want to press charges, they did request Scott leave the vessel. Scott was then told to leave the dock "or he would be arrested," police said.

"Throughout the long walk from the vessel to the boardwalk," authorities alleged, "[Scott] walked backwards, yelling obscenities to the occupants of the vessel."

Scott then left the premises, but returned "approximately five minutes later" and walked back to the yacht, "disregarding officers' commands not to go." Per police, "[Scott] began yelling once again, becoming erratic, disturbing the peace of the occupants of the marina and nearby residential buildings, causing a public disturbance."

He was then arrested and transported to the Miami Beach Police Department.

The rapper "later admitted that he had been drinking alcohol and stated, 'It's Miami,' " police claimed.

Sources familiar with the matter tell PEOPLE, "There was no physical altercation with anyone."

"This was a rowdy party and Travis was already bailed out for a few hundred dollars. He is already home," they added. "There will be no further action to be taken as it was a minor incident akin to receiving a ticket with no injuries."

Scott has had previous run-ins with the law, namely over incidents that have occurred at his concerts. In August 2015, he was arrested by Chicago police after a Lollapalooza performance — where the "Sicko Mode" rapper encouraged attendees to climb over security barricades and storm the stage — spun out of control. Per Chicago’s ABC 7 , he was charged with disorderly conduct.

The Rodeo artist was arrested again in 2017 following a concert in Arkansas on charges of inciting a riot, endangering the welfare of a minor and disorderly conduct, the Associated Press reported.

Scott pled guilty to the latter charge , while his two other misdemeanor charges were dismissed through plea negotiations, his former attorney, Doug Norwood, told the Northwest Arkansas Democrat-Gazette .

In November 2021, Scott's Astroworld Festival turned into a deadly tragedy due to a crowd crush at NRG Park in Houston, Texas. The event resulted in 10 casualties, thousands who were injured and hundreds of lawsuits filed against Scott. However, a Texas grand jury decided in June 2023 not to pursue criminal charges against the rapper.

Scott opened up about the tragedy last year in an interview with GQ , saying, "I always think about it. Those fans were like my family."

He added, "You just feel for those people. And their families."

In late May, the "Outside" rapper was involved in a physical altercation with music executive Alexander "AE" Edwards , boyfriend of Cher , during a party at the Cannes Film Festival. According to Entertainment Tonight , the fight occurred while Scott and Edward's friend and fellow rapper Tyga were both on stage behind the DJ booth. It's still unclear who or what provoked the incident.

Scott shares two children — daughter Stormi , 6, and son,  Aire , 2 — with makeup mogul Kylie Jenner , 26.

The Latin Grammy-winner is currently between stops on the European leg of his Utopia-Circus Maximus Tour , which kicked off last October to support his latest album, Utopia. He's next due in the Netherlands for performances there on June 28 and June 30.

Rapper Travis Scott is arrested in Miami for trespassing and intoxication

Travis Scott performs in Austin, Texas, in October 2018. Scott was arrested on Thursday for drunken intoxication at the Miami Beach Marina.

Rapper Travis Scott was arrested early Thursday morning in Miami after an altercation at the Miami Beach Marina.

Scott, 33, whose legal name is Jacques Bermon Webster, was charged with trespassing after a warning and disorderly intoxication.

According to the arrest affidavit provided to NPR by the Miami Beach Police Department, Scott was taken into custody at about 1:44 a.m. on Thursday.

Police said they received a phone call complaining about people fighting on a yacht. When they arrived, Scott was “standing by the dock yelling at the vessel occupants.”

Scott complied with a police request to sit down, according to the affidavit, but then “began continuously standing back up disregarding officers commands.”

The officers stated that they “could sense a strong smell of alcohol coming from the defendant's breath.”

A police officer asked Scott to leave the dock after confirming the person who complained did not want to press charges and that Scott did not have property on the boat. Scott retreated from the scene, walking backwards and yelling obscenities to the people on the yacht, police said.

Scott then entered his car and according to police, said to the officers that “if he gets in the vehicle he’s gonna catch a fade” — a slang term implying physical repercussions.

The car left the property, but the affidavit states that Scott returned about five minutes later. A police officer saw Scott walking back toward the yacht while allegedly bypassing police and disregarded commands.

As Scott was speaking to an officer, he “began yelling once again” and became “erratic,” with his behavior causing a public disturbance. It was then that Scott was taken into custody.

Scott admitted that he had been drinking, adding “It’s Miami,” alluding to the city’s reputation for bacchanalian festivities.

Scott's legal representative, Bradford Cohen, said that at no point did the interaction turn physical during the rapper's "brief" detainment.

“Mr. Scott was briefly detained due to a misunderstanding. There was absolutely no physical altercation involved, and we thank the authorities for working with us towards a swift and amicable resolution,” Cohen said.

In a post on X shortly after he was released on bond, Scott stated simply, “Lol.” A post on his official Instagram account has photoshopped headphones and sunglasses onto his booking photo.

According to the affidavit, 10 officers were using body-worn cameras during the incident.

This is not Scott’s first brush with law enforcement. During several of Scott’s concerts, the musician stirred controversy by riling up his crowds resulting in rowdy fan behavior.

Those incidents reached new heights in 2021 when at least 10 people, aged 9 to 27, were killed and hundreds more injured during his Astroworld Festival. Scott was investigated for criminal conduct in that incident, but a grand jury declined to indict the Houston native.
