At 80.07 metres, 1,700 Gross Tons and with a top speed of 29 knots, Genesis, previously Project Cosmos is the world’s largest and fastest all-aluminium motoryacht with conventional propeller propulsion system. Winch Design created a streamlined yacht with innovative design traits but still retaining the Heesen DNA: muscular sportiness and timeless elegance. The design, engineering, technology and craftsmanship in this extraordinary yacht represent a milestone not just for Heesen, but for the yachting industry in general.
First impressions
Some of the most notable features on board Genesis are the fully-rated helicopter landing pad for a Eurocopter EC135 that transforms into an outdoor cinema with stunning effect; the crystal elevator from the lower deck to the sun deck for chic accessibility; the breath-taking seven-metre pool with contra-jets for swimming, paired with a waterfall and glass bottom; the sumptuous beach club with a sunken walk-around bar and large transom and side platforms. To give her the necessary longitudinal strength, we designed and patented a complex, full-length structural reinforcement system that we call The Backbone. Sinot Yacht Architecture & Design and Heesen Yachts have taken this project to the next level of quality, to create our most intricate and precious interiors so far.
Step aboard
Genesis is a testament to the pinnacle of design, engineering, technology, and craftsmanship of Heesen. The interior design of this project takes inspiration from nature, particularly natural mathematics like the Fibonacci sequence, shaping the core of its architectural aesthetics. Clear, graphic lines define a clean, uncluttered space, creating an environment that exudes architectural excellence. Exceptional materials like backlit onyx, straw marquetry, and crystal glass panels are skillfully integrated within these lines, accentuating their innate beauty. The interior is further adorned with custom-designed furniture crafted from a combination of glass, marble, metal, and various wood types, adding the final touches to the overall décor.

The 80.7m/264'9" motor yacht 'Genesis' (ex. Galactica) was built by Heesen in the Netherlands at their Oss shipyard. Her interior is styled by Dutch designer design house Sinot Yacht Design and she was delivered to her owner in September 2023. This luxury vessel's exterior design is the work of Winch Design.
Guest Accommodation
Genesis has been designed to comfortably accommodate up to 12 guests in 6 suites comprising one VIP cabin. She is also capable of carrying up to 19 crew onboard to ensure a relaxed luxury yacht experience.

Range & Performance
Genesis is built with a aluminium hull and aluminium superstructure, with teak decks. Powered by 4 x diesel MTU (20V 4000 M73L) 20-cylinder 4,895hp engines running at 2050rpm, she comfortably cruises at 22 knots, reaches a maximum speed of 29 knots with a range of up to 4,000 nautical miles from her 120,000 litre fuel tanks at 14 knots. Genesis features at-anchor stabilizers providing exceptional comfort levels. Her water tanks store around 30,000 Litres of fresh water. She was built to Lloyds Register ✠ 100A1 SSC, Yacht, Mono, G6 ✠ LMC, UMS classification society rules.

80m Heesen flagship Genesis delivered under new ownership
Under new ownership, Heesen, the Dutch shipyard, has unveiled its latest flagship, the 80-meter superyacht Genesis. Previously referred to as Project Cosmos and Galactica, this all-aluminium vessel was technically completed in the previous year, with sea trials conducted in April 2022.
In an official statement, Heesen announced that the yacht was formally handed over to its new owners on August 31st. The shipyard also confirmed that the sale and delivery of the yacht were carried out in coordination with Dutch authorities. In May of the previous year, the shipyard underwent a change in ownership structure, becoming an independent foundation, thereby ensuring its complete Dutch ownership and allowing it to continue constructing and delivering yachts.
Genesis now surpasses Heesen’s previous flagship, the 70-meter Galactica Super Nova, by an impressive 10 meters. It claims the title of the fastest aluminium yacht in its size category, powered by four MTU 4000 M73 engines with a combined output of 19,000hp.
The yacht boasts exterior styling crafted by the British studio Winch Design, while Sinot Yacht Architecture & Design was tasked with designing the interior. This project represents Heesen’s third collaboration with Sinot.
Genesis offers accommodation for up to 12 guests, distributed across six cabins, including a luxurious main deck owner’s suite, a bridge-deck VIP cabin, and four cabins on the lower deck. Additionally, the crew quarters are designed to accommodate a staff of 19 individuals.
Among its standout features is a certified helideck located on the bow, beneath which is a spacious tender garage capable of housing a custom limousine designed by Winch.
According to BOATPro, Heesen currently has eight projects in various stages of construction. Genesis joins three other superyachts expected to be delivered this year, including the 60-meter Ultra G.

AD LIB was built to Lloyd's Register classification and has been used privately under her original owner. AD LIB can accommodate 9 guests in four cabins. The guest accommodation is on the lower deck. It comprises two double-berth suites and one twin-berth cabin with additional pullman berth. All guest cabins have en suite bathrooms with separate shower compartments. Port forward is a designated gym area. Forward of the guest accommodation is the galley, crew mess and accommodation for six crew. On the main deck, the owner's suite is forward. It has sofa seating to starboard and is accessed via the owner’s private office. Forward, the suite has separate his and hers en suite bathrooms with a shared central shower room. Aft in the suite is a large dressing room. Moving aft from the office, steps lead to the raised wheelhouse and onto the flybridge. In the main salon, there is a formal dining area forward and a lounge area to the rear. A bistro table and chairs sit at the saloon entrance from the aft deck. On her sun deck, AD LIB has a forward flybridge area with forward-facing bench seating and steps to the wheelhouse. Aft is a hardtop – with skylight windows in the forward section. Beneath the hardtop is situated an al fresco dining area with bench seating running outboard on both sides. Towards the rear is a wet bar and BBQ area while on the aft deck is a jacuzzi and sunpad area. Steps to starboard lead to the main deck. The aft main deck features a formal al fresco dining area with forward-facing seating to the rear. Overhead, is a retractable sun awning. A wet bar area is located by the main saloon entrance. There is a large raised sunpad area forward, accessed via steps from the foredeck. AD LIB has a side-opening tender garage whilst on the foredeck is located the rescue tender and waverunner. She is powered by two 1,450 hp Caterpillar 3412E engines these give her a cruising speed of 13 knots and a maximum speed of region 16 knots.  70m SERAFINA: ‘The Only Superyacht You Will Ever Need’By Emily Dawkins London-based yacht designer Andy Waugh Yacht Design has unveiled its latest superyacht concept: Serafina. At 70m in length, the motor yacht has been described by the designer as the ‘only superyacht you will ever need.’ Adorned with dynamic curved lines and sleek exterior surfaces, the latest motor yacht concept from the London-based designer is nothing but breathtaking. Expansive glass windows and a complimentary colour palette embody a ‘sophisticated simplicity’ that reveals both elegance and strength. Showcasing an optimised layout, perfect for modern living both inside and out, 70m Serafina offers a spectacular onboard experience. A luxurious full-width formal lounge and alfresco dining area is situated on her bridge deck, with a more informal saloon, interior dining area and a grand full-width forward owner’s suite all packed into her main deck. Generous accommodation for guests has been effectively spread across three of her four vast decks, allowing bounds of space for an expansive sun deck that is divided into two versatile areas: one forward with a pool, and one aft for entertaining and relaxing. With a total of seven cabins, Serafina is able to welcome 14 guests overnight. Four welcoming cabins are situated on the lower deck, and offer direct access to a luxurious aft beach club. Serafina’s engine rooms are uniquely located in a more forward position, allowing easy access for crew from their isolated living quarters towards the bow. This useful feature will reduce crew footfall and disturbance, whilst allowing the utmost privacy for guests onboard. Established in 2010, 70m Serafina has become the seventh outstanding superyacht concept from Andy Waugh Yacht Design, following the reveal of the jaw-dropping 175m Acionna in 2018. However, the designer has certainly been busy, revealing that the studio is currently working on its first new-build commission for an American technology billionaire. The vessel, reportedly ‘unique and exciting’ and over 100m in length, is currently in the engineering phase of the construction process at Dorries Yachts in Bremen, Germany.
