    The American Yacht List appears to have first appeared in 1874, copyrighted by Niels Olsen. Later annuals appear to have been published by T. Manning (which either renamed it to, or replaced it with, "Manning's Yacht Register" in 1898). That in turn was succeeded in 1903 by "Lloyd's Register of American Yachts", which ran until 1977.
