Sancerre, a Jeanneau 45.2 , features three staterooms, two heads, a full galley and carries kayaks for four. She’s crewed by Capt. Dan and the Bosun, who is also our gourmet chef. Private lessons make the best use of your time. You work on the skills you need and practice until you’re both competent and confident.

Most beginning sailing courses get you ready for sailing on small lakes, but this is the Pacific. Most times, this part of our ocean is benign, but you have to be ready for the times when she acts up. Built in 1872, The ventura pier is the oldest pier in California. The pier is 1,600 feet (490 meters) long and made of wood. Originally it was a commercial wharf used to export the region's agricultural products and crude oil. Seaside Wilderness Park

Apart of the Emma Wood State Beach this park is normally only visible by foot, see the seaside wilderness park coast line from the sea. Located at the Ventura River mouth, the former "Hobo Jungle," is a great place to spot birds en route.

The Topatopa Mountain range

You will get to experience living on a boat, but since it is always attached to the dock you will never have to worry about sea sickness! It is less than 100 feet to all the action at Ventura Harbor Village and also to some of California's best beaches.

Ventura Harbor Village

Rent one or both of our very comfortable, classic 1969 yachts with room galore. Sit back on your deck (fantail), enjoy the view of the Harbor at night while listening to some Jimmy Buffet floating through the air, while sipping a beverage. Have coffee on deck and watch the sun rise over the harbor. There are 12 dining establishments, live music, shops, and a Comedy Club for your enjoyment directly up the ramp from the Boatels! Kayak, SUP'S, Electric Boats, and Paddle Boat rentals, are also steps away. Year round events make Ventura Harbor a treat you are sure to remember.

Both of our Boatels are very spacious and comfortable. Ventura Boatel has a queen stateroom with private bathroom, 2 forward bunks, and a futon bed in the main cabin for a family or group up to 6. Boatel California has a Queen size Stateroom with an additional Twin bed and private bathroom, a Convertible full size bed in the main cabin, and the 2 forward bunks for a family or group of up to 6. Both Boatels have a spacious salon/living room with a T.V. with Netflix and Amazon Prime, High Speed Internet/Wifi, antenna channels, DVD player with lots of DVDs and CD/radio. The Galley has a full size refrigerator and Keurig Coffee maker (coffee included), microwave, electric skillet, crock pot, hot water heater for tea/cocoa, other small appliances and all of your wine glasses, plates, etc. Both Boatels also feature a spacious back deck (fantail) and bow to enjoy the beautiful views and sounds of the Ventura Harbor.

Yes. We use a system called Cognito to ensure that payment information matches the renter's identity. We also require renters taking out a captained boat to be at least 18 years old and on a bareboat to be at least 25 years old.

Is listing my boat on Boatsetter free?

Yes! Listing a boat is completely free. We only take a commission when your boat is rented. We only make money when you do!

What if I'm not comfortable having a renter drive my boat?

If you are not comfortable having a renter drive your boat, we have an expansive network of licensed and experienced captains. Once your boat is listed, you can filter through our network of captains and favorite captains in your area that you would like to operate your boat.
