The 59.99m/196'10" motor yacht 'Vision' (ex. Lyana) was built by Benetti in Italy at their Livorno shipyard. Her interior is styled by design house Pierre-Yves Rochon and she was delivered to her owner in July 2011. This luxury vessel's exterior design is the work of Stefano Natucci and she was last refitted in 2014.

Guest Accommodation

Vision has been designed to comfortably accommodate up to 12 guests in 6 suites comprising one VIP cabin. She is also capable of carrying up to 15 crew onboard to ensure a relaxed luxury yacht experience.

Onboard Comfort & Entertainment

Her features include satellite communications, gym, deck jacuzzi, WiFi and air conditioning.

Range & Performance

Vision is built with a steel hull and aluminium superstructure, with teak decks. Powered by twin diesel MTU (12V 4000 M60) 12-cylinder 1,770hp engines running at 1800rpm, she comfortably cruises at 13 knots, reaches a maximum speed of 16 knots with a range of up to 5,000 nautical miles from her 130,000 litre fuel tanks at 12 knots. An advanced stabilisation system on board promises exceptional comfort levels at anchor or on any voyage. Her water tanks store around 20,000 Litres of fresh water. She was built to ABS (American Bureau of Shipping) ✠A1, Yachting Service, ✠AMS classification society rules, and is MCA Compliant.

VENUS | Steve Jobs/ Laurene Powell

Steve Jobs was the co-founder, chairman, and CEO of Apple Inc with an estimated net worth of $18 billion USD. Jobs died in 2011 due to pancreatic cancer and could not see the finished product of the superyacht he was building with designer Philippe Starck. Venus is now owned by the Job family. It was built at Feadship and delivered to the Job family in 2012. She is approximately 252 feet long and accommodates 12 guests in six cabins and 22 crew members in 14 cabins. Rumors are that Job’s family spent a total of 100 million euros on the superyacht. She is powered by two MTU engines that bring her to a top speed of 20.5 knots. The boat is not for sale and is not available for charter.

MUSASHI |  Larry Ellison

2011 Feadship 288 | Larry Ellison is the owner of the American software company Oracle and is one of the richest people in the world. His estimated net worth is 58 billion USD. His mega yacht, Musashi, was launched in 2011 by Feadship and is 288 feet long. Her name was inspired by a Japanese samurai which stands for ‘warrior.’ She can sleep 18 guests comfortably with nine cabins and accommodate her 23 person crew. The designers combined elements from Japanese design and art deco. They even added a spa pool on the upper deck. She is powered by four MTU 16V4000 which brings her to a top speed of 21 knots. Not only does he own this beautiful superyacht, but he also has his own private island and a jet. He purchased Musashi for $160 million USD.

SEVEN SEAS | Steven Spielberg

2010 Oceanco 282 | Steven Spielberg is a director and film producer. You might know him from his classic films like Jaws and ET. His estimated net worth is $3.7 billion USD. His mega yacht, Seven Seas, was launched in 2010 by Oceanco and is 282 feet long. The yacht has an estimated value of $200 million USD and is named after his seven children. Seven Seas can accommodate 12 guests in six cabins. She has a crew of 26. The designers Nuvolari Lenard and Azure Naval Architects are responsible for the beautiful interior design. She is powered by two MTU engines that will bring her to a top speed of 20 knots. Seven seas are not available for yacht charter nor is it for sale. Rumors have been circling that Spielberg is building a new 109-meter Oceanco Y720 to be completed by 2021.

PRIVACY | Tiger Woods

2004 Christensen 155 | Tiger Woods is a professional golfer. His estimated net worth is $800 million USD. His superyacht, Privacy, was launched in 2003 by Christensen and is 155 feet long. Woods purchased the yacht for $20 million USD. Privacy can accommodate ten guests in five cabins along with nine crew members in four cabins. The yacht has a large bar on the upper deck, an elevator, jacuzzi, three SeaDoos, and a workout room. Her top speed is 18 knots and she is powered by MTU 12V4000’s.

MARAYA | Sean Combs aka P.Diddy

VA BENE | Eric Clapton

1992 Cornelissen 156 | Eric Clapton is a British rock musician who was born in England. His estimated net worth is $300 million USD. The yacht was built in 1992 at Cornelissen in the Netherlands. However, Clapton did not purchase the luxury until 2005 for an estimated $10 million USD. Va Bene can accommodate twelve guests and twelve crew members. She is powered by two Caterpillar engines that bring her to a top speed of 16 knots. The boat is available for yacht charter and was listed for sale in 2016.

Georgetown Yacht Charter

Georgetown is the Capital of Great Exuma, the largest island in the Exumas, Bahamas.  The possibilities are endless, we can recommend a plan or just go with the flow. We are on island time so whatever you are feeling each day, we can delight and suprise. With many possibilities for snorkling, hiking, swimming, dining, and more, the world is your oyster. We can act as your guide or, just let you relax and explore as you wish. 

Depending on your arrival times, we can let you check in as early as 10am so we can head out early and visit an island on your first evening. Or, we can do check-in/orientation later in the day and let you enjoy the local flavor of Georgetown for the evening and head out the next day. Seven owned by David Beckham

Ex-England football star and Inter Miami owner David Beckham has been revealed as the owner of a 28 metre Riva Argo 90 . Named after Beckham's iconic football shirt number, Seven was launched in October 2021 and constructed in GRP. Studio Officina Italiana Design penned the yacht both inside and out, while Ferretti Engineering Department oversaw her naval architecture. Stand out design features include the sun lounging space on the foredeck, while twin MTU diesel engines power her to a top speed of 30 knots. 

Tecnomar for Lamborghini 63 owned by Conor McGregor

UFC fighter Conor McGregor has been revealed as the owner of a recently completed Tecnomar For Lamborghini 63 yacht . The 19.2 metre yacht is a crossover of the two brands and designed to satisfy owners who enjoy superyachts and supercars. McGregor’s yacht features a distinctive gold hull paint and will feature the same materials as a Lamborghini supercar. Inspired by Lamborghini’s Siàn FKP 37 model, Tecnomar For Lamborghini features an aerodynamic profile and special “carbon skin”.

Viva a Vida owned by Tom Brady

NFL superstar Tom Brady took delivery of a 16 metre custom cruiser from Dutch builder Wajer towards the end of 2020 after signing a $50 million contract with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. The quarterback is clearly a keen fan of the Wajer yachts after he recently announced he had commissioned a larger mode, the Wajer 77. The Wajer 55S, christened Viva a Vida , sports a baby blue hull and is powered by three 435hp Volvo Penta engines guaranteeing a wild ride with speeds in excess of 40 knots. A walkaround centre console allows guests to make the most of the deck space available with stowage for SeaBobs and other toys concealed beneath the aft stairway. Below deck, the Wajer 55S offers accommodation for four. Other cool features include push-button fenders and an extendable swim platform. The 55S is the souped-up version of its older sibling, the Wajer 55 , and comes from the boards of Dutch design studio Sinot Exclusive Yacht Design .

Fashion designer Giorgio Armani has recently celebrated 40 years of life at sea  and of course the fashion icon has a suitably stylish yacht. Enter the 65 metre Codecasa yacht Main , owned by Giorgio Armani, which has been designed inside and out with input from Armani. The exterior of the yacht is in an unusual dark green colour, which suits the angular, military-inspired exterior lines. Inside, the yacht has a muted palette and features wow factors in a spiral staircase, gym, cinema and guest accommodation for 12.

Designed by Doug Zurn, the 17 metre Vendetta was created to be a true replica of the classic gentleman's commuter launches that were popularised in the 1920s for their quick speed to run down the Long Island Sound and into New York City. True to the intended form of the vessels, Billy Joel told BOAT International  that he has used the yacht to run from his home in Long Island to the City to perform in a concert. At one point, Billy Joel owned five yachts, including 29 metre Inace explorer yacht Audacious (re-named Miss Sarah J ) ,  which he converted to house a few of his motorcycles. Fresh from a refit, Vendetta has recently joined the brokerage market and is listed for sale with Fraser .

Infinity owned by NBA star Tony Parker

In December 2018, Turkish yard AvA Yachts announced that it had sold the second hull in its 35 metre Kando 110 series to NBA star Tony Parker and the yacht was delivered two years later. Named Infinity , the steel and aluminium full displacement yacht will feature a bulbous bow and has been designed in-house. The 340GT yacht will accommodate 12 guests in six cabins with crew quarters for six including a separate captain’s double cabin. The four-decked yacht will feature a “light, contemporary interior décor” chosen by the basketball star and his wife, who are said to have put the yard through a rigorous selection process before choosing AvA for their new build.

Freedom owned by Roberto Cavalli

Much secrecy surrounded the construction of fashion designer Roberto Cavalli’s yacht until it was delivered in 2018. Built by Italian shipyard Cerri Cantieri Navali , the 27-metre Freedom was designed by Tommaso Spadolini in collaboration with her owner. According to Cavalli, the inspiration for the yacht’s design was the aesthetic of batman’s superhero batmobile. This explains the severe lines, jet black exterior and tinted windows which make up the yacht’s distinctive appearance. on board, Cavalli’s signature animal-print furnishings adorn the cabins and saloons. Freedom can accommodate six guests and three crew members and has two dining areas on board. Powered by three water jet engines, Freedom’s moderate size means that she can reach a top speed of 40 knots.

Amphitrite formerly owned by J. K. Rowling and Johnny Depp

It was reported in January 2016 that Harry Potter author J. K. Rowling had bought classic superyacht Amphitrite . Previously known as Vajoliroja , this was once Johnny Depp's yacht and named after a blend of his name and the names of his ex-wife Vanessa Paradis and their two children Lilly-Rose and Jack. The yacht was once again listed for sale in September 2016 with an asking price of €17.5 million and eventually sold in July 2017 to an undisclosed buyer.

Cyan owned by U2's The Edge

Believe the tabloids, and you might think that it's U2's frontman Bono that owns this yacht. But it's actually U2's The Edge who owns superyacht Cyan . The 48.71 metre motor yacht was launched by Italian builder Codecasa in 1997 but has been kept in like new condition and is now available to charter with Burgess . The yacht's crew have very cool uniforms befitting a rockstar's boat, and Cyan is also known to have one of the best outdoor cinemas found on a superyacht . She accommodates 10 guests in a Franco & Anna Della Role interior.

Va Bene owned by Eric Clapton

Another musician with a passion for yachting is Eric Clapton. Superyacht Va Bene is owned by Eric Clapton, although it is currently listed for sale with Burgess , and it's also reported that he owns the aptly named yacht  Blue Guitar . The 46.51 metre motor yacht Va Bene was launched in 1992 by Cornelissen . She features exterior design by the A Group and interiors and naval architecture by Richard Hein . The semi-displacement, tri-deck yacht enjoyed a refit in 2008 and hosts 12 guests in comfortable accommodations. She also reaches a top speed of 18 knots powered by twin Caterpillar engines.

Who Owns Superyachts In 2023 —And What Does That Mean For You As Crew?

Where once oligarchs, oil tycoons, royals and old money ruled the roost in the yachting world, tech billionaires have increasingly dominated the superyacht market. Who are these people — and more importantly — what does their different style of ‘yachting’ mean for you as crew?

The list of tech billionaires (at least, the list we know of) is long and getting longer by the year. And as their wealth grows, so does the size of the boats they own!

Jeff Bezos, Larry Ellison (Musashi), Charles Simonyi (SKAT), Sergey Brin (Dragonfly), and Larry Page (Senses) are just some of the tech billionaires known to own a superyacht. Mark Zuckerberg, meanwhile, is rumoured to own Andromeda.

While we can only speculate on how these exact individuals use their yachts or what they are like onboard, some general traits might set the tech billionaire yacht owner out as using their yachts differently than generations of yacht owners before them.

Overall, tech billionaires are often younger, more adventurous and less hidebound regarding old rules and service styles. Here are a few general trends we can assume.

They want to eat well, but less fussily, and with a greater premium on health.

Where silver service, ultra-decadent meals, and mountains of wasted food were — and often still are— preferred by old-money yacht owners and charterers, the modern tech billionaire is more likely to be health-conscious and eat food that is plated rather than buffet style or silver service. Yacht chefs now need to be more skilled in special diets, such as plant-based or keto, and offer a broader range of cuisines.

They want to WORK.

Superyachts used to be for holidays only. This was partly by necessity —the lack of connectivity meant that work went on the back burner for summer months as guests swanned around the Mediterranean. Now, the extraordinary technological strides on board allow yacht owners to have offices where they can work anywhere in the world.

They want to go far beyond the milk run.

While anchoring off St Tropez or Cap Ferrat for weeks in August will always be in style, there has been an explosion in remote cruising, often fuelled by this younger, more adventurous set of yacht owners who can work from anywhere- Antarctica to Alaska and beyond.

This has fed into the next point…

A desire for adventure and exploration has changed yacht design.

As younger, more adventurous owners like tech billionaires have joined the superyacht market, the design of yachts and the toys they carry have changed markedly. New types of vessels have been created to meet this desire for off-the-beaten-track cruising, from support yachts to water toys to the massive growth in explorer yachts. Gone are the days when one yacht layout was almost identical to another. Now, we have winter gardens, submarines, ice rooms, ski rooms, large onboard offices, and helicopter hangars.

Not all of these changes have been driven by tech billionaires, granted. Still, their vision of what is possible has dramatically changed what yachts look like and how they operate as machines, with new types of propulsion, greater ranges, and a considerable amount more tech onboard.

Some things never change.

One thing hasn’t changed, though—a wealthy person’s desire for privacy. Discretion remains perhaps the most essential trait in any crew member, which you must keep in mind when working on yachts —even in the day of constant social media and shows like Below Deck.

A wealthy person’s desire for privacy and discretion is a constant that crew forget at their peril. Are you ensuring that you are a trusted asset? You may have signed that NDA, but do you let stories slip now and then at the bar? Are you careful about not taking photos onboard that give away anything about the boat or the owners? Do you make sure you don’t share the yacht’s cruising plans?

In a world where stories about tech billionaires will fly around the globe at light speed, you must be the gatekeeper. Stories cannot leave the passerelle.

Crafting an owner’s vision

From one month to ten years – how long will it take to build your perfect yacht?

From initial designed sketches, to the first cutting of metal, to the final maiden voyage, it takes on average four years to build a superyacht. And more than just a fancy boat, it is a floating example of design innovations, complex engineering and smart technology all tailored to an owner’s preferences and lifestyle. But what happens when an owner chooses the path less trodden and presents a shipyard with a head-scratching request? How far will a yard go to accommodate and perfect an owner’s wild and wonderful vision?

Royal Falcon One is a 41m catamaran developed by the Singapore-based Royal Falcon Fleet . It boasts a highly-contemporary design that hails from the drawing boards of the iconic Porsche Design Studio, and forms part of Royal Falcon Fleet’s fledgling time-share membership model. 

According to Roger Leitner, executive vice president of Royal Falcon Fleet, it was always intended for the yacht to make a statement in the yachting industry, primarily with its ‘spaceship-like’ exterior, but the main question on everyone’s lips since the yacht launched in July 2019 has been, “Why did it take 10 years to build?”.

The simple answer is because of the owner. In 2009 Porsche Design Studio set about designing a vessel that possessed “speed and dynamics”. The studio describes its multi-hull design as “almost resembling the track of a sports car”, but four years into the build at the Vietnamese-based shipyard Kockums, the entire operation shut down for three long years.

“The three-year pause was the owner’s choice,” Leitner explains. “That time allowed us to reconsider whether we were moving in the right direction, with the right people, and with the right contractors.”

Happily for Kockums shipyard and all involved, the build resumed in 2017, and Royal Falcon One was successfully launched last year. But despite being at the mercy of owners who make changes, swap contractors, and even put the brakes on an entire build, the main priority for any shipyard is to accommodate an owner’s needs. 

Project Skyfall

As one of the few shipyards in the world to successfully straddle the lines between fully custom yachts and those built on speculation, Dutch shipyard Heesen Yachts is in the unique position of being able to offer owners the eye-wateringly rapid delivery time of just one month for a brand new yacht. “That’s because we have one built on spec and ready to sell,” explains Mark Cavendish, sales director at Heesen. However, for owners looking for a degree of personalisation, Heesen’s semi-custom option is the next best thing, which uses one of the yard’s existing and proven platform models (already designed and engineered), making delivery time nearer to two and a half years. And if a fully-custom yacht is the desired result, then an additional nine months is needed to allow for the design and engineering stage. 

For many owners, though, it’s not about tight turnarounds on delivery, but craftsmanship, level of finish, and originality of design. According to Cavendish, the sky is the limit. “Nothing is a challenge as long as it’s feasible and allowable ,” he says. “If you have an owner who has genuinely no restrictions on the financial front, why shouldn’t he have whatever he wants? Outrageous interiors, helicopters, high speeds – it all comes down to imagination.”

Heesen’s custom Project SkyFall , a 59m yacht with a top speed of circa 40 knots, is a clear example of an owner looking to push the limits. “You can imagine a few raised eyebrows when that’s what the owner said he wanted,” says Cavendish. “When we questioned him four, five, six times and asked, “Are you really sure this is what you want because your entire yacht is going to be designed around the engine room?”, and he said yes, we went away and figured out how to make it happen.”

Bespoke is king in the world of superyacht builds, and each shipyard will bend over backwards to try and accommodate owners’ demands. German-based shipyard Nobiskrug , which currently has a challenging 100m design on the table, has built a name for itself as an expert in daring, technically-advanced custom builds. In the case of 80m hybrid motoryacht Artefact, the owner’s goal was to create something wholly unique with the smallest carbon footprint possible. The solutions included lightweight materials to save on weight, both in terms of volume and fuel economy, and the unusual use of Glass Reinforced Polyester (GRP)  instead of steel or aluminium for Artefact’ s superstructure.

“The center section of the yacht is built in steel, but the fashion package around the sides and the wings is in GRP, a lightweight structure which is corrosion protected, and allows any future owners to change the design of the yacht using this material as it can be uninstalled,” explains Vesna Bloetz, marketing and communications manager at Nobiskrug.

Sailing Yacht A

And perhaps one of the most iconic yachts on the water today – Nobiskrug’s 143m Sailing Yacht A , which took six long years to build – contains the largest piece of glass ever manufactured for use on board, a 15m window for the underwater observation lounge.

“A client’s demand is never answered with a ‘no’,” says Bloetz. “If the requests demand innovative engineering, we will gladly welcome all ideas, push the envelope of what is feasible, and seek new technologies to find the solution.”
