One of my stations I was listening to (Chan 18) moved to 311. Its still in the same package, it just found a new permanent home. I cant seem to tune the Entune system beyond the 200s in XM..... My 2014 Nissan XM has no issues and that radio is obviously older so I was wondering if this is as far as the radio can tune or if others have been able to tune higher? I have the Entune Premium but no the Premium JBL version and the software is up to date.
You cant tune past what is already preset for the radio. Some manufactures offered a higher bandwidth radio than others. Looks like ours does not meet the bandwidth requirements to go past the 200 channels.
I noticed the same thing. I have the JBL.
Well we have what is known as the " XM Platform " radio. It's limited to the number of channels we can tune. There are 3 different style of radios: Sirius Platform XM Platform SXM Platform ..my 2014 Nissan has the SXM platform and as such can tune into the 300s and beyond. Cant really tell by the Radio ID, as it used to be all numeric for Sirius and Letters/Numbers for XM but now both the XM and SXM radios use the same style of Radio ID.
Sucks. I can't listen to yacht rock anymore either. I'll be looking to upgrade my radio unit. I wonder if any aftermarket head units work w the factory navigation etc?
It is what it is. At least I was able to offer an explanation as to why we couldnt listen to it. Yet another thing Toyota appears to have dropped the ball on. Dont understand why in this case when a basic XM radio is old school. Get SXM radios and you're covered.
Wow, I had no idea. I just assumed that was all the channels there were. Thanks for the info. Definitely love XM after having it the past few years, I rarely listen to anything else. Now I wonder what I'm missing out on ha
Very strange that it wouldn't have a Sirius Xm tuner. The merger happened a long time ago and all new components should be in line with that
Each auto company seems to still 'pick' a favorite. Why they still make basic XM radios amazes me. Everything should be SXM versions right now. You can usually tell by the button you need to press for SAT radio. In our entune...its marked 'XM' - in my 2014 Rogue its marked 'SXM'. So I reached out to Sirius and got the low down and posted it in this thread. I didnt know we actually had 3 different radios out there still being made!

My understanding is a few years back the after market radios came equipped to pick up all the Sirius XM channels. For this SiriusXM charged a higher fee. Sounds like the vehicle manufacturers are still putting in either Sirius or XM turners. If you look at the SirtiusXM web site this is all explained.
Toyota entune is total garbage.

plode682 said: ↑ YES! Yacht rock is my favorite. It was on channel 70 part time(which went back to the "love" channel, and now is Christmas music). If I really want to listen to Yacht rock(or any channel we can't access with the factory head unit), I use the Sirius XM app on my phone and play it across the bluetooth. Click to expand...
Hey guys, I know this is an old thread and I'm sure y'all have figured it out but i called Sirius and found a solution. It depends on the dealer, but most of them will swap your XM radio with a SXM radio for free so you can have all the channels (including streamed ones) so you never miss out on your favorites. Hope this helps.

@Roddy13 yup, I have an appointment next week to get it replaced for free. There is also a chance your radio just needs to be updated. Give your dealer a call if you have this problem!

Can someone tell me what radio the dealer installed in place of the XM radio? My dealer can't find the SirusXM replacement.

Sirius/XM moved the Deep Tracks channel to an internet/app only channel. I listen to that channel probably 80% of the time. Now my factory radio in my Jeep, my portable XM player, and my Polk component tuner no longer can play my favorite station. I'll probably keep the subscription for the car but the other two units will likely get dropped. Deep Tracks always seemed a crown jewel in the XM lineup. I'm surprised it's getting shunted off the original platform. I don't like it. I'll let them know via listener feedback that I'm not pleased and request they reverse their decision. Then hopefully make it clear to them by dumping radio subscriptions I've happily paid for for almost 20 years.
Ak subscriber.
Deep Tracks now streams on channel 308. I hope they didn't remove it from the sat rad as that's my go to station as well in my truck.
One of the stations I like is Yacht Rock, which used to be channel 14, but moved to channel 311. No big deal, right? Except that my "new" 2018 Buick Encore Infotainment system tuner will only go to channel 235 for Sirius XM! Sure, I can listen to Yacht Rock by connecting through the APP on my iPhone, but I really don't want to for just one station! Another channel that just moved is The Blend, which went from channel 17 to 27. Not a problem, as it's programmed as a "favorite" in my Encore, so changed automatically!
My car came with a trial subscription that they neglected to turn off for well over a year. It was cool driving from upstate NY to Indy (and back) for MotoGP and never changing the radio station.
It's not just basically bricking multiple devices for my purposes (Deep Tracks) it's the disrespect to what has always been one of the most important channels on the service.

A ton of crap must have moved, both my wife's and my XM in our cars is displaying either new or blank channels.
Deep tracks is one of my favorites. I haven't checked our cars yet to see if I can pick up the new "high band" channel. Good article on Rolling Stone. Deep Sh-t
Maybe cassettes will make a comeback
Well I won't have to worry about renewing my sirius subscription when it comes up. I can confirm that deep tracks is now a streaming only channel. Channel line up in my truck goes from 308 to 310 and 309 isn't even listed.
Raise hell if it matters to you. There is a spot on their site for programming input. They could fix this immediately. There's still enough of us to matter if they know we care.
Audio understudy.
Agree it seems like all the good channels disappear or change to streaming Sirius only. They bumped “The Joint” (reggae) to stream and the Bob Marley channel has way too much hip hop for my definition of reggae. Frankly the dj style of presentation borders on classic radio, not ad free subscription content. My wife purchased a one year subscription for my car I’m not likely to rene.
I listen to the Bridge quite a bit too, it moved. I noticed the day before it moved that they really played excellent song choices. Today it was just ok, back to the normal hit and miss. Still a good channel for out in the garage.
The Bridge is better than it needs to be for it's intended purpose. It occasionally surprises and they don't play junk. Comfortable when I'm in the mood to wind down. It just does not belong in it's spot. Deep Tracks does.
It seems they want everyone to app up.
They seem to have a plethora of worthless channels - like 90% have negative appeal to me - but I presume they're trying to have something for everyone. Does this happen to you - on my 2011 Audi whenever they revisse their listings some or all of my presets are empty and I have to reload them. It's a PITA for sure.

I'm so ancient I still listen in the car on a Delphi SKYFi2 from back when it was technically just XM before the merger. From the debut of satellite in the early 2000s, niche channels have disappeared, but can't say I saw Deep Tracks going away just yet.
With streaming taking over, the XM and Sirius satellites are destined to burn up in the atmosphere. Plus satellite radio can't track you. New cars with internet know everywhere you go and everything you listen to.

Essentially Yacht Rock is brought down to the lower channels as a seasonal summer channel between Memorial Day and Labor Day. Those aren't always the exact dates, but it's close. For the past several years, Yacht Rock took over 70 all summer, but with the recent lineup changes and the loss of the last iHeart station, Sirius has Yacht Rock on 14.
Some newer SirusXM radios can get the 300s in the car. If not, you can only access it through streaming. Yacht Rock is only on lower channels in the car during limited times usually during the summer. Can i just say i lost my mind when that billy joel channel came. Yacht rock was such a great mix.
Call Sirius XM tech support 855-260-5969 and give them your radio make and model number. They will be able to tell you your radios capabilities. That is why I got a refurbished OnyX Plus radio for the ability to play Yacht Rock channel 311. I originally had an OnyX EZ radio that did not have channel 311 capability.
Dallas, TX. I've noticed the factory radio in my truck won't pull up all of the Sirius channels. The highest number channel it will pull up is 219. It kind of ****** me off that I'm effectively paying for channels that I'm not getting. Also, in my opinion the only channel worth listening to on Sirius is Yacht Rock Radio which is channel 311.

Yacht Rock is currently being simulcast on Sirius and XM channels 14. My Sirius radio in my Ford does not get the 300s. My wife's XM 2.0 radio in her car does. KIIS is gone from the satellite and app. Z-100 is gone from the app. Both can be found on the iheart radio app. They've also been using channels 104 & 105 for temporary channels.
Check to make sure your XM radio and your car radio are tuned to the same FM frequency. Make sure all of the cables between your SiriusXM radio and your stereo system are connected firmly and securely. Make sure the FM mode in the SiriusXM Radio is turned Off. Make sure host radio is on auxiliary input mode.
It can't get channels above the mid 100s, I believe. So for me, I can only listen to Yacht Rock Radio when they change it to a lower station number. I have streaming on my computer, phone, and other devices, so I can obviously listen to it on those platforms, but when I'm in the car using my radio in there, I can't.
Mar 27, 2008. 384. 197. Orlando, FL. Oct 21, 2021. #1. I was wondering if anyone knew why SiriusXM changed the name of their station, Yacht Rock Radio to Yacht Rock 311. The station didn't move, so I thought there may have been a law suit. Any insight?

Our Toyota Highlander came with a sample trial of Sirius. We really enjoy it and are thinking of purchasing a sub, but when we rented a car for a trip to the beach this summer my buddy suggested Yacht Rock for the trip and we got hooked on it. Unfortunately when I search for the channel in our own car it does not appear in All in Channel List.
