  1. Hans Christian Owners - Are These Boats As Good As They Look?

We looked at the 33's (best build quality of the lot and a tone of room for its size), 38's (great galley on the traditional, a modified full keel on the tellstar, and a pullman on the MKii, but poorest built as far as I could tell) and 43's (same great galley as the 38t with a bit more space) before we fell for our 41 (designed to incorporate t...

  2. Baba 35 vs Tayana 37 vs Hans Christian 38 | SailNet Community

The Tayana has sold so I am now down to comparing the Baba35 and the Hans Christian 38T. A quick comparison on Yachtworld shows these vessels are not the cheapest ones for sale but also not the most expensive.

  3. Any Thoughts on Hans Christian Sailboats? - Cruisers ...

I delivered a 38 from Guatemala. Faster then their reputation, I was quite pleased with her speed. I think their quality is pretty good too and their resale value is pretty stable. She was very forgiving, I was hit by a bad squall of 50 plus knots with full sails up and she took it like a champ while I scrambled to get the reefs in.

  4. Little Cunning Plan: 1978 38′ Hans Christian CutterLittle ...

We know that Hans Christians are sturdy, well built vessels that are intended to handle blue water cruising. Although they are fairly heavy, we thought we better look at one and this one has a great layout with separate cabins fore and aft. My first impression of this boat was that she is a very attractive boat.

  5. Bluewater Sailboat – Hans Christian 38 Traditional

The Bluewater Sailboat Hans Christian 38 Traditional (also referred to as the 38T) is a heavy displacement double-ender that exudes the vintage sense of a bygone era.

I tried to stop him, but my Dad has just gone and bought a Hans Christian! This one. My folks haven't had a boat in years.. but I guess they saw mine and decided to get something themselves.

  7. Hans Christian 38 MKII — Sailboat Guide

  8. Hans Christian Opinions : r/SailboatCruising - Reddit

Hans Christians are beautiful boats! Here are a few that I've considered: HC 33. HC 38 MkII. HC 41 Traditional. The 33 actually can swallow lots of gear, and can handle heavy weather. But, I couldn't figure out how to get a bimini high enough over the cockpit because the boom is so low, and that was a deal breaker for me.

  10. HANS CHRISTIAN 38T - sailboatdata

Designed to determine if a boat has blue water capability. The CSF compares beam with displacement since excess beam contributes to capsize and heavy displacement reduces capsize vulnerability. The boat is better suited for ocean passages (vs coastal cruising) if the result of the calculation is 2.0 or less. The lower the better.
