Her water tanks store around 2,000 Litres of fresh water. She was built to BV (Bureau Veritas) classification society rules.

33.5m Overmarine yacht 1K reveals new interiors following extensive refit
The 33.5 metre Overmarine yacht 1K has unveiled a new look following a comprehensive six-month refit at French refit yard MB92 .
London-based design studio STURGE & TOTH helmed the refit, following an owner’s brief to transform the yacht into a sophisticated, yet welcoming “villa on the water” designed for escaping to sea with friends and family. Mixing Belle Epoque glamour with traditionally Grecian design elements, 1K now has a fresh, young look that earnt her a shortlisted nomination at the World Superyacht Awards 2022.
The yacht has undergone a number of major structural improvements throughout. One of the key upgrades concerned a lower deck cabin, which was replaced with a snug lounge. Complete with a fireplace and large TV, the space can be used for movie nights, poker games or as a private retreat for the owner.
"Adding this snug lounge as a grand convertible living space instead of a cabin has helped to enhance the vessel's interior experience, allowing for a well-balanced versatility of vibrant social activities alongside intimate privacy at the same time, on both decks." explained Ben Julian Toth, co-founder of STURGE & TOTH."You can enjoy the main deck with family, friends and guests, while the lower deck provides for calmness and relaxation - this is very special for a Mangusta 108".
On the main deck, the design team was responsible for removing the yacht’s convertible roof to create a fixed overhead with maximum head height. To do this, the drainage and steel enforcement of the beams had to be removed.“It wouldn’t be a fun project if it wasn’t challenging,” said Toby Sturge, co-founder at STURGE & TOTH.
The dining area on the main deck is now crowned by a glamorous Rolls-Royce-style ceiling mirror with a star constellation of fibre optics. It’s adjoined by the main saloon, which has a chic, monochrome look that’s balanced by the functionality of extendable sofas that create a lounge-like feel.
The design team made various other changes to the lighting throughout 1K, including the addition of backlit quartz tops. “The light shines through their natural structures of stones and reflects beautiful shimmers of golden hues onto its white surroundings in many different ways, giving a really warm feeling,” explained Toth.
"We created the infinite golden hour concept for evening hours, which transforms the rather cool daytime atmosphere of high-gloss white and black surfaces into a cozy and elegant warm ambience, complementing the romantic moods of evening skies with elegant reflections of light through natural onyx surfaces,” he added.
Meanwhile, Grecian pillars were also installed throughout the yacht and a jacuzzi on the exterior was removed and replaced with a sunpad spread. Baccarat sanitaryware and bespoke door handles by TGH Paris and Sicis have also contributed to the yacht’s refined edge.
The yacht has been refitted for a young, first-time owner. “The original interior with grey leathers and light wood was not to my taste, and after spending a few weeks on board, I soon realised that I needed to undertake a refit to bring the entire interior to a much higher level of luxury,” said the owner in a statement.
“From this point on, we have requested a layout more practical for our lifestyle and have redefined the layout of living spaces as well as their functions. Even though we knew very well what we would enjoy on our yacht, we were inspired by many ideas of the designers and have managed to consistently raise the levels of comfort and quality in detail.”
1K was delivered in 2013 as the 30th and last in the Overmarine’s Mangusta 108 series. She was one of the first yachts in the line to be fitted with zero-speed stabilisers, promising a comfortable, yet speedy cruise for her owner. She was formerly known as Veyron .
Her exterior design comes from Stefano Righini , while her interiors were developed in-house. STURGE & TOTH has completely overhauled the look and feel of the yacht to give her a much more contemporary onboard ambience. Based between London, the South of France and Vienna, the studio is accustomed to major design projects for bespoke interiors and exterior design.
