Milos at Sea has the capacity to accommodate up to 10 guests overnight in four staterooms. All equipped with ensuite bathrooms, Milos at Sea boasts a Master Suite, one VIP stateroom and two Twin cabins each equipped with an extra Pullman berth.

Inside the yacht, the comfortable lounge adjoined to the spacious dining area is the perfect place to relax while enjoying a panoramic view of the sea. In dialectical relationship with the interior, the two-level deck is equipped with dining and lounge areas, suited for round table gatherings, relaxing, or simply enjoying the endless view of the horizon.

A skilled professional with extensive experience in navigating Greek waters, Sifis is a professional diver and lifeguard. Our crew guarantee a level of service that is synonymous with Milos standards.

Accommodation

Sumptuously equipped with a master suite, VIP suite and twin bed cabin, all cabins are adjoined with an ensuite for ultimate privacy. On and below deck, the common living and dining areas are the perfect intimate spaces to unwind. In the bow, enjoy a large sun pad as you admire the scenery while taking in the sun.

He has an extensive motor yacht and sailing experience. He also has an impressive record of transatlantic trips, including several solo crossings. Sifis is at “Milos” family for more than ten years, and during this period he is not only at the helm of “Milos” yachts, but he is also responsible for the management of the yachts. Further to the above, he is a professional scuba diver, lifeguard and an avid technology buff. Apart from his professional credentials, Sifis is an affable and attentive guide to Greece’s geographic and cultural treasures.His friendly and efficient character, in combination with his knowledge, makes the guests feel safe and welcome on his yacht. MILOS AT SEA is a full displacement 34.44 mt charter motor yacht, with classic and dynamic style. She was built in 2000 by the world renowned Italian shipyard of Codecasa and refitted in 2012 and 2015.

The internal and external layouts have been designed to conform to simple and functional solutions for long term stay aboard in comfort and luxury.

MILOS AT SEA boasts a large open plan salon and formal dining area that spans the full width of the yacht. The lounge area features 2 leather sofas and 4 arm chairs with matching coffee tables and there is a large screen TV with DVD, CD, Satellite TV. The lovely dining table can seat up to 10 charter guests for formal dining. There are mirrored panels behind dining table and overhead mirrored ceiling with Murano glass lighting features. To the aft there are double electrical glass sliding doors leading to the aft deck.

MILOS AT SEA is able to accommodate 10 charter guests in 4 cabins including the master cabin that boasts two separate his and her bathrooms, both with showers. The wardrobe entrance features two full closets and may be closed off from the main stateroom. The cabin also features a vanity and 40″ flat screen TV with BlueRay, CD and satellite. The remaining 3 cabins are located on the lower deck and include a VIP located aft with sofa, en suite bathroom with shower and a double sink as well as plenty of hanging closet space. There is a 32″ flat screen TV, BlueRay and CD. The starboard Twin cabin has an en suite bathroom which also can be accessed from the guest foyer as a day head. There is a small desk, hanging closets and TV with DVD, CD and satellite. The port twin also has an en suite bathroom with shower and slightly more floor space between the desk and sleeping area. Both have plenty of hanging storage and full AV. Both of the twin staterooms each have one Pullman bunk.

The MILOS AT SEA motor yacht also has excellent deck space with a large sundeck/ fly bridge that offers plenty of guest entertaining and lounging space. There is an al fresco dining table that is covered and the aft section of the top deck is the perfect place to relax in the sun with oversized sunbeds lining the aft section of the yacht with umbrella, bar fridge and BBQ. There is an alternative al fresco (covered) dining area on the lower aft deck and an additional sunning area on the foredeck.

MILOS AT SEA is equipped with a state-of-the-art stabilization system which reduces roll motion effect, resulting in a comfortable feeling when cruising.

How to book a yacht charter?

Our dedicated charter consultant will help you select the right yacht, based on your needs and preferences, plan your itinerary and help arrange all logistics before, during and after the charter.

Send us your travel requirements, through our online form, or contact us directly and one of our consultants will guide you though the whole process.

How much is the crew gratuity (tip)?

A crew gratuity is customary but at the Charterer’s discretion. Usually varies from 10% to 20% of the charter fee, based on the charterer’s satisfaction.

What is the Advanced Provisioning Allowance (APA)?

The Advanced Provisioning Allowance (APA) covers any running expenses while on board (e.g. transport, fuel, food & drink supplies, berthing dues, harbor charges, agency fees, equipment requested etc.). The APA is usually calculated as 30-40% of the charter fee, depending on the yacht. At the end of the charter, the captain will present to the charterer a detailed analysis of all expenses. Any APA not spent or any costs not covered sufficiently by the APA, will be settled between the parties at the end of the charter.

How is the charter rate calculated?

The charter rate, usually different for high and low seasons, is quoted per week.

For charters longer than a week, the charter rate is calculated by dividing the weekly rate by seven and multiplying by the number of charter days.

Charters lasting less than a week are usually calculated by dividing the weekly rate by six and multiplying by the number of charter days.

What support does OCEDA offer during the charter process?

We remain on hand throughout the charter to assist in any support required by our charterer clients such as organising an event onboard, booking restaurants, activities and handling any health and safety emergencies.

Oceda also can provide full support to the crew onboard via our agency team such as itinerary planning, the handling of all port formalities, provisioning and fuelling of the yacht.

What are the charter duration and booking lead time?

The charter duration depends on the yacht’s availability. A charter can last from 1 day (for some of the yachts) to more than a month, also depending on how long the charterer wants to charter. To ensure finding the perfect yacht for you we recommend that clients reach out to us at least 6 months in advance to the high season and up to three months in advance for off-peak season.

What are the costs the charter fee covers?

Under MYBA terms, the charter fee only covers the hire of the yacht with the crew on board. All additional expenses are covered by the chartering party. To cover such expenses an Advance Provisioning Allowance (APA) is required to cover any provisioning, fueling mooring and legal fees. Any APA not spent or any costs not covered sufficiently by the APA paid will be settled between the parties at the end of the charter. The APA is usually calculated as 30-40% of the charter fee. The charterer should also consider VAT and potential gratuities to the crew for their decision on a yacht.

What kind of yachts are available for charter?

There is a huge selection of yachts available for charter with motor and sailing yachts ranging from a few meters to 90m plus. Depending on the needs of the charterer, in OCEDA we can find a yacht that suits your needs, whether that is one with a vast selection of water toys for a family charter or a classic sailing yacht.

What are the main charter seasons?

There are two main peak seasons in the yachting industry – summer and winter. The summer season spans from May to October with the Mediterranean and Northern Europe being the most popular choices, while the winter season starts in November through April with the Caribbean, Florida and the Indian Ocean usually being the location of choice.

‘Milos at Sea’ is a 112.99ft  /34.44m  Custom motor yacht built in 2000 by Codecasa and last refitted in 2015.

The vessel was previously named Mimu, and her bright, contemporary interior is designed by Della Role Design and her exterior styling is by Codecasa.

Milos at Sea’s impressive interior layout sleeps up to 10 guests in 4 rooms, including a master suite, 1 VIP stateroom, 2 twin cabins and 2 Pullman beds. She is easily capable of carrying up to 6 crew members onboard to ensure you and your guests get the most out of your charter vacation, and enjoy the most luxurious, memorable charter vacation.

Her impressive leisure and entertainment facilities make her perfect for entertaining friends and family on your perfect charter vacation. There’s lots of bright, open space for enjoying lavish dining or simply kicking back and soaking up the sunshine.

Built with a steel hull and aluminium superstructure, she has a cruising speed of 12 knots, a maximum speed of 15 knots and a range of 4,100nm from 50,000litre fuel tanks. She beautifully combines elegance, style and performance, and it’s not hard to see why she is such a popular choice.

She also comes complete with a modern stabilization system to reduce roll motion even during rough seas, and the yacht also has ‘at anchor stabilizers’ to keep things smooth even at anchor/zero speed.

The yacht has a great Wi-Fi connection throughout, so you’ll be able to check emails or share your experience on social media. Air conditioning keeps conditions comfortable throughout the cabins, so you’ll stay cool even on those hot, humid days or nights.

M/Y MILOS AT SEA is a great 4 stateroom yacht with two master suites, well suited for 10 guests. The spacious fly bridge offers covered dining as well as a full sun deck area in an open plan aft.

The luxury motor yacht MILOS AT SEA boasts a large open plan salon and formal dining area that spans the full width of the yacht. The lounge area features 2 leather sofas and 4 armchairs with matching coffee tables and there is a large screen TV with DVD, CD, Satellite TV. The lovely dining table can seat up to 10 charter guests for formal dining. There are mirrored panels behind dining table and overhead mirrored ceiling with Murano glass lighting features. To the aft, there are double electrical glass sliding doors leading to the aft deck.

MILOS AT SEA Specifications

Yacht MILOS AT SEA is able to accommodate 10 charter guests in 4 cabins including the master cabin that boasts two separate his and her bathrooms, both with showers. The wardrobe entrance features two full closets and may be closed off from the main stateroom. The cabin also features a vanity and 40" flat screen TV with BlueRay, CD and satellite. The remaining 3 cabins are located on the lower deck and include a VIP located aft with sofa, en-suite bathroom with shower and a double sink as well as plenty of hanging closet space. There is a 32" flat screen TV, BlueRay and CD. The starboard Twin cabin has an en-suite bathroom which also can be accessed from the guest foyer as a day head. There is a small desk, hanging closets and TV with DVD, CD and satellite. The port Twin also has an en-suite bathroom with shower and slightly more floor space between the desk and sleeping area. Both have plenty of hanging storage and full AV. Both of the twin staterooms each have one Pullman bunk.

The MILOS AT SEA motor yacht also has excellent deck space with a large sundeck/ flybridge that offers plenty of guests entertaining and lounging space. There is an al fresco dining table that is covered and the aft section of the top deck is the perfect place to relax in the sun with oversized sunbeds lining the aft section of the yacht with an umbrella, bar fridge and BBQ. There is an alternative al fresco (covered) dining area on the lower aft deck and an additional sunning area on the foredeck.

Further to the above, he is a professional scuba diver, lifeguard and an avid technology buff. Apart from his professional credentials, Sifis is an affable and attentive guide to Greece’s geographic and cultural treasures.His friendly and efficient character, in combination with his knowledge, makes the guests feel safe and welcome on his yacht. You can actively control these expenses in your preference sheet (local vs. imported beverages) and by choice of itinerary (distances traveled). The cocaine offloaded on Thursday was the result of two operations off the coast of Puerto Cabello, Venezuela, the Coast Guard said in a social media post . The operation was conducted by a Royal Netherlands Navy patrol boat, which had a Coast Guard law enforcement detachment and helicopter interdiction tactical squadron on board. ❌❄️ @USCG Cutter Resolute's crew offloaded more than 4,800 pounds of cocaine, worth over $63 million, at @PortEverglades , Thurs. Officials said in a news release Thursday that the suspected drug vessel, a speedboat, failed to stop early Tuesday morning when signaled and instead headed straight toward the Dutch patrol boat. Dutch Navy officers and U.S. Coast Guard members on board the patrol boat fired their weapons at the speedboat "in self-defense and defense of others in response to the life-threatening situation," officials said. The speedboat caught fire and sank, and three suspected smugglers went overboard and disappeared below the water, the Coast Guard said.   The U.S. Coast Guard, Royal Netherlands Navy and Dutch Caribbean Coast Guard suspended search efforts for the three suspects on Tuesday evening, officials said. There were no reported injuries to the Dutch and U.S. officers. "The Coast Guard is America's primary maritime law enforcement agency, and our crews work hard to safely bring suspected smugglers to face federal prosecution in the United States for alleged crimes," Lt. Cmdr. John W. Beal said in a statement Thursday. The cocaine seizure and shootout in the Caribbean Sea come about a week after a separate Coast Guard crew offloaded $468 million worth of cocaine in San Diego .  That haul was the result of eight separate operations off the coasts of Mexico and Central and South America.    International drug traffickers routinely use different kinds of boats to move narcotics. In May, Italian police announced the seizure of a  remote-controlled submarine  likely intended to transport drugs as part of an international drug trafficking network. Also last month, the French navy said it seized 2.4 tons of  cocaine  from a Venezuelan fishing boat about 1,500 kilometers northeast of the Caribbean island of Martinique. In March, authorities announced a massive cocaine shipment seizure in the Caribbean Sea off of Colombia after military ships and planes chased down a speedboat holding almost four tons of the drug. Earlier that month, a British warship and an American patrol aircraft chased down a speedboat as its crew tried to flee and dump its cargo of drugs into the water near the U.S. Virgin Islands. British sailors and a U.S. Coast Guard team eventually recovered about 6,000 pounds of cocaine and other drugs, officials said. Much larger  semi-submersibles , which cannot go fully underwater, are popular among international drug traffickers as they can often elude detection by authorities. Its hundreds of storage jars, called Canaanite amphorae , spilled into heaps on the seafloor. Archaeologists recently recovered two of those jars, which are thought to date to between 1400 and 1300 B.C.E., during the late Bronze Age . According to the Israel Antiquities Authority (IAA), which announced the discovery this week, the wreck is the oldest ever found in the deep sea (the depth at which light starts to dwindle, around 656 feet). “The discovery of this boat now changes our entire understanding of ancient mariner navigational skills,” Jacob Sharvit , director of maritime archaeology for the IAA, tells the New York Times ’ Franz Lidz. “It is the very first to be found at such a great distance [from the shore] with no line of sight to any landmass. From this geographical point, only the horizon is visible all around.” The site is located some 55 miles off Israel’s coast. Sharvit says that without access to navigational technologies like compasses and astrolabes , ancient sailors would have needed a comprehensive understanding of celestial navigation to travel so far from land. Discoveries of this kind are astonishingly rare. Only two other Bronze Age shipwrecks that once carried cargo have been found in the Mediterranean. Both vessels, however, sank near Turkey’s coast, reports CBS News . They are also hundreds of years younger than the newly identified wreck. Energean , a London-based energy company, discovered the 3,300-year-old cargo during a survey of the seafloor last summer. Pilots captured images of the amphorae using a remotely operated vehicle (ROV) controlled via joysticks from the surface. Israeli law mandates that companies report such discoveries, so Energean staffers sent their images of the wreck site to the IAA. “I almost fell off my chair,” Sharvit tells Haaretz ’s Ruth Schuster. “The moment I realized they were Bronze Age jars, I understood this was a very ancient, important find. How important, I didn’t know yet.” There was just one problem: The IAA doesn’t have submersible technology capable of reaching such depths. Officials contacted Energean and asked if the company would be willing to conduct a recovery mission. “It took us no time to agree,” Eliana Fischler, a spokesperson for Energean, tells Haaretz . “We knew that if we didn’t do it, nobody would.” After months of planning, the company lowered the ROV—equipped with specially designed attachments—into the sea. After a three-hour descent, it reached the bottom of the Mediterranean. Per Scientific American ’s Ilan Ben Zion, operators on the surface took high-resolution videos of the site. They then selected two amphorae to retrieve, which the ROV shuttled safely to the surface. Nobody knows what caused the doomed vessel to sink. Was it a storm? A leak? A pirate attack? “Whatever happened, it seems to have happened fast,” Sharvit tells Haaretz . “If it sank in a storm and was starting to sink, they would have tried to make it lighter by casting off weight to save it. We saw no sign of that.” Due to the relative calm at more than 5,000 feet, the wreck may be better preserved than other vessels resting at shallower depths, according to Shelley Wachsmann , a nautical archaeologist at Texas A&M University who was not involved in the research. “Anything that got buried in the sediment is going to survive there, and it’s probably going to be in a better condition,” Wachsmann tells Scientific American . While no remains of the ship are visible, researchers estimate it measured between 39 and 46 feet long. Because deep-sea missions are notoriously challenging and expensive, Sharvit has no plans to revisit the site. Dozens more are missing and presumed dead. The bodies, including women and children, were being transferred to a port in Calabria. Two more coast guard ships were on their way to join the air-and-sea search, some 190 kilometers (120 miles) from shore. Survivors reported that the boat motor had caught fire, causing it to capsize off the Italian coast overnight Sunday about eight days after departing from Turkey with about 75 people from Iran, Syria and Iraq on board, according to the U.N. refugee agency and other U.N. organizations. Eleven survivors were being treated on shore. The deaths bring to more than 800 people who have died or went missing and are presumed dead crossing the central Mediterranean so far this year, an average of five dead a day, the U.N. agencies said. Yachts in your shortlist ‘Only pirates do this’: Philippines accuses China of using bladed weapons in major South China Sea escalation T he Philippines has accused China’s Coast Guard of launching a “brutal assault” with bladed weapons during a South China Sea clash earlier this week, a major escalation in a festering dispute that threatens to drag the United States into another global conflict. Footage released by the Philippine military on Thursday showed Chinese coast guard officers brandishing an axe and other bladed or pointed tools at the Filipino soldiers and slashing their rubber boat, in what Manila called “a brazen act of aggression.” The Philippines and China have blamed each other for the confrontation near the Second Thomas Shoal in the contested Spratly Islands on Monday, which took place during a Philippine mission to resupply its soldiers stationed on a beached World War II-era warship that asserts Manila’s territorial claims over the atoll. The incident is the latest in a series of increasingly fraught confrontations in the resource-rich and strategically important waterway. But the scenes captured in the latest footage mark an inflection point in the long-simmering tensions, with China adopting new, far more openly aggressive tactics that, analysts say, appear calculated to test how the Philippines and its key defense ally – the United States – will respond. China claims “indisputable sovereignty” over almost all of the South China Sea, and most of the islands and sandbars within it, including many features that are hundreds of miles from mainland China. Multiple governments, including Manila, hold competing claims. Collin Koh, research fellow at the S. Rajaratnam School of International Studies in Singapore, said it was unprecedented for China’s maritime law enforcement to board a Philippine naval vessel. “They can be rubber boats, but it doesn’t change the fact that they are Philippine Navy vessels, and according to international law, they enjoy what we term as sovereign immunity,” Koh said. “That is very dangerous, because, if anything, that could even be construed as an act of war.” Boats ‘looted’ At a news conference on Wednesday, senior Philippine military officials said China’s Coast Guard officers “illegally boarded” the Philippine rubber boats, “looted” seven disassembled rifles stored in gun cases, “destroyed” outboard motor, communication and navigation equipment and took the personal cellphones of Filipino personnel. “They deliberately punctured our rubber boats using knives and other pointed tools,” said Alfonso Torres Jr., commander of the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) Western Command. A Philippine Navy serviceman on the rubber boat lost his right thumb when the Chinese Coast Guard rammed it, Torres said. China’s Coast Guard also deployed tear gas, “blinding” strobe lights and continuously blared sirens, the AFP said. “Only pirates do this. Only pirates board, steal, and destroy ships, equipment, and belongings,” Gen. Romeo Brawner Jr, Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces of the Philippines, said in a statement. “The Chinese Coast Guard personnel had bladed weapons and our personnel fought with bare hands. That is what’s important. We were outnumbered and their weapons were unexpected but our personnel fought with everything that they had,” Brawner added. At a regular briefing with reporters on Thursday, China’s Foreign Ministry was asked to comment on the allegations from the Philippines that their vessels were damaged by Chinese coast guard personnel wielding blades and firing tear gas. Spokesman Lin Jian did not address those allegations, and instead reasserted Beijing’s claims over the Second Thomas Shoal, known as Ren’ai Jiao in China. “The Philippine operation was not for humanitarian supplies at all. The Philippine vessels carried not only construction materials but also smuggled weapons. They also intentionally rammed into Chinese vessels and splashed water and threw things on Chinese law-enforcement personnel,” Lin said. “These actions have obviously aggravated tensions at sea and seriously threatened the safety of Chinese personnel and ships.” Mutual defense treaty What happens in the South China Sea has profound implications for the US, which has a mutual defense treaty with the Philippines that dates back decades. The latest clash marks the first run-in between the two countries since a new law in China took effect Saturday to authorize its coast guard to seize foreign ships and detain crews suspected of trespassing for up to 60 days without trial. It also comes just weeks after Philippine President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr.  warned  that the death of any Filipino citizen at the hands of another country in the waterway would be “very close” to an act of war. Marcos has sought closer ties with the US, which has repeatedly stressed Washington’s “ironclad commitment” to a 1951 mutual defense treaty between the US and the Philippines that stipulates both sides would help defend each other if either were attacked by a third party. US State Department spokesman Matthew Miller  said  Monday the “United States stands with its ally the Philippines and condemns the escalatory and irresponsible actions” by China. In a phone call with his Philippine counterpart Enrique A. Manalo on Wednesday, US Secretary of State Antony Blinken said China’s actions, “undermine regional peace and stability and underscored the United States’ ironclad commitments to the Philippines under our Mutual Defense Treaty.” Derek Grossman, a senior defense analyst at the RAND Corporation, a US-based think tank, said the footage released by the Philippines “clearly shows a Chinese attack on Philippine military assets,” which according to Washington and Manila’s defense pact would trigger mutual defense commitments. “However, in practical terms, the Philippines itself would have to initiate a move to activate (it) before the US would intervene militarily,” he said. In 2016, an international tribunal in The Hague ruled in favor of the Philippines’ claims in a landmark maritime dispute, which concluded that China has no legal basis to assert historic rights to the bulk of the South China Sea. But Beijing has ignored the ruling. Instead it has increasingly pushed its maritime territorial claims, with China Coast Guard ships – reinforced by militia boats – involved in multiple clashes over the past year that have damaged Philippine ships and seen  Filipino sailors injured by water cannon. Philippine ‘restraint’ The decision by China’s Coast Guard to use bladed weapons in the latest South China Sea clash has drawn comparisons with clashes between China and India on their disputed Himalayan border, where soldiers on both sides have fought fiercely with sticks, rocks and their hands . The Philippine personnel on the rubber boats are elite forces hailing from the Navy Special Operations Group, Koh said. “They are trained in combat. They did not retaliate against the Chinese because they’re just simply exercising restraint,” he said. “They probably have received instructions right from the top that under whatever circumstance they are not supposed to fight back against the Chinese and escalate the situation.” The footage released by the Philippine military also showed another striking development – that the clash took place right next to the BRP Sierra Madre, a rusting US-built Philippine Navy landing craft that was run aground deliberately in 1999, with a national flag hoisted on board, to assert Manila’s territorial claims over Second Thomas Shoal. By Eve Sampson A Philippine Navy sailor was “severely injured” after ships from China and the Philippines collided Monday morning near a disputed archipelago in the South China Sea, the Philippine military said on Tuesday, the latest in a series of maritime confrontations that have increased tensions in the vital waterway. Each side blamed the other for the collision, which occurred between a Chinese vessel and a Philippine supply ship near the Spratly Islands. Chinese state media said that the Philippine vessel had “ignored multiple stern warnings” and had behaved “dangerously and in an unprofessional manner,” causing the boats to collide. The Philippines said that Chinese naval, coast guard and naval militia vessels had engaged in “illegal and aggressive actions,” including what it called “ramming.” The U.S. ambassador to the Philippines, MaryKay Carlson, condemned what she called China’s “dangerous maneuvers,” saying that they had “caused bodily injury” and damage to the Philippine vessel. The clash again demonstrated Beijing’s broadening military expansion in the South China Sea, which is rich in natural resources and crucial to international shipping. China lays claim to the sea in nearly its entirety. But the Philippines, under President Ferdinand Marcos Jr., who took office two years ago, has been pushing back more forcefully against what it calls Chinese encroachment on its territorial waters. The Philippine military did not disclose what the injury to the sailor was. But GMA Integrated News, a broadcast network in the country, said that his finger had been cut off and that six other people had also been injured. It also said that China had seized high-power firearms and inflatable boats. An international court ruled in 2016 that the Second Thomas Shoal, which lies near the site of the collision on Monday, was within the Philippines’ exclusive economic zone. China refused to participate in the tribunal and rejected the ruling. The shoal, which is less than 200 nautical miles from the Philippine coastline, is home to a crumbling warship, the Sierra Madre . The rusting, symbolic vessel carries a twofold mission: staking the Philippines’ claim to the land and trying to prevent further Chinese incursion. Over the past decade, China has intensified its naval patrols in an effort to enforce its self-defined boundaries in the South China Sea. In recent months, Chinese militia vessels and coast guard ships have blasted Philippine resupply vessels with water cannons, damaged radars and antennas, and repeatedly struck boat hulls. Manila’s quest to deter China has pushed the Philippines closer to the United States , Canada and Japan, and also to Vietnam, which is similarly locked in disputes with Beijing over waters off its coast. Last year, the United States signed an agreement with the Philippines to increase its military presence in the country to the highest level in three decades, hoping to counter China’s growing aggression.
