Trogir is located 27 km from Split, close to the Bay of Kastela and Split Airport. Trogir is an ancient Greek and then Roman city, inhabited before and after Illyria. Either way, spend the first part of the day enjoying a typical Croatian summer atmosphere, before heading towards the town of Bol. This settlement is home to the most famous of all the Croatian beaches – Zlatni Rat – which protrudes more than 300 meters (500 ft) into the sea.

This beach is a natural phenomenon, because it constantly changes shape, depending entirely on wind and air currents. Enjoy the plethora of possible water sport activities that are more than welcomed around Zlatni Rat : inflatable water parks for kids , towables and jet skis for fun-filled rides or kayaks and SUP boards for a tranquil meditation amongst the waves.

After you have sufficiently enjoyed the beach, go on a biking adventure , exploring old forts and monasteries around Bol town, or retire to the air-conditioned cabins on your yacht charter and allow yourself an afternoon siesta. In the evening, one of the numerous private bays around the town of Bol could be your anchorage for the night.

Day 3: Island of Brač – Hvar island

Cruise to the island of Hvar , with an option of stopping underway and enjoying a swim on the island of Zečevo. This small isle offers numerous opportunities to enjoy the water toys at your yacht`s disposal, as well as take in beautiful natural scenery and crystal-clear waters.

After you rest and digest, you might wish to explore Hvar`s medieval town of Stari Grad, the oldest settlement on the island. Known as Pharos in ancient Greek, Stari Grad is filled with cultural heritage, in the form of historic architecture like monuments, temples and churches.

Day 4: Island of Hvar- Korčula island

After you spend a night anchored in Stari Grad, continue your journey towards the island`s centre, the city of Hvar. Cruising alongside the northwestern coast of the island, you will come across numerous coves which are ideal for snorkelling or kayaking.

Once you arrive in the town of Hvar, you could climb atop a small hill and witness the Španjola fort. Enjoy the spectacular vistas of the surrounding Pakleni archipelago, which could be your target for the afternoon.

If you decide to stop by the Pakleni islands,  you could experience truly untouched nature or cruise straight toward Korčula island , disembarking in the charming Korčula town . Known to possess one of the most well-preserved and beautiful historic old city cores in Dalmatia, this town will amaze you with its medieval architecture.

Day 5: Island of Korčula – Mljet island

The cultural metropolis of the region, Split , encourages a shore excursion just across the bay, and in between, several towns with fortresses line up, forming together Kaštela .

Just in the bay in front of the city, the island world of Central Dalmatia with Šolta , Brač and Hvar can be reached in short strokes. For families, therefore, excellent conditions to experience with children on board dreamlike bays and beaches quite relaxed, with short Schlängen. Nature lovers explore the island of Vis and also historically interested people will find something to discover here.

The pleasant temperatures of the area make sailing here a relaxing experience and the stable wind conditions provide the best conditions for enjoying sailing of any level. Croatia is one of the most popular sailing destinations among European sailors. On a yacht charter Trogir you start in Central Dalmatia , centrally located on the Croatian Adriatic Sea .

Already in the third century BC there was a Greek settlement on the territory of today's Trogir. In the 13th century the town had great economic importance and many of the buildings from this and other settlement periods are still preserved today. It is not without reason that the entire old town of Trogir has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1997.

Embark on a journey through time, starting with the crossing of the bridge to the island of Čiovo . The island is enclosed by the medieval city walls. You enter the old town through the land gate from the late Renaissance period. The Kamerlengo fortress still rises against the sea side. St. Lawrence Cathedral also dates from the 13th century, and its main western portal is considered the most important work of Romanesque-Gothic style in all of Croatia - a must-see for lovers of church architecture. John Paul II Square, where the cathedral is also located, is the vibrant center of the old town and has even served as a movie set. In Winnetou III, Winnetou and Old Shatterhand ride across the square, which there belongs to the town of Santa Fe.

The marinas in Trogir are located in the immediate vicinity of the historic city center and the southern, palm-lined waterfront. The latter again radiates a bit more tranquility and invites you to stroll. The cafés and restaurants located here are ideal for a short stop or even a convivial evening.

Divers can rent equipment in Trogir or go on organized dives. There are several wrecks in the area where diving is permitted.

How to get there : Trogir is located only 5 kilometers from the international airport in Split. This airport is served by flights from many European cities. You can reach Trogir from the airport quickly by bus, by cab or you can order a transit beforehand via our customer area. Also by car you can still travel well to Trogir. From Munich it is about 850 kilometers.

If you prefer it a little quieter, you can stop on the island of Hvar. Here you will find equally beautiful, perhaps not as extraordinary beaches as on the sister islands of Vis and Brač. The eponymous town of Hvar on the island has earned the nickname "The St. Tropez of Croatia". Sights from centuries past and a wide range of cultural activities offer plenty to do for a day ashore. In the theater of Hvar, which was founded as early as 1612, performances still take place today. Especially in May during the theater days a wide program is offered. A special feature, which is registered as an intangible UNESCO world cultural heritage, is the procession "Za križen" which takes place annually in the night from Maundy Thursday to Good Friday.

After this excursion into the cultural landscape we go back to the beach. To a sandy beach! On the island of Vis in the bay of Stonica you will find a small piece of Croatia with Caribbean flair. A shallow sandy beach, turquoise water, palm trees and a beach bar. Everything you need for a relaxing afternoon. If you want to spend your day on the beach a little more quietly and undisturbed, you will also find the perfect conditions for a day in the refreshing water in one of the many small bays around the island. The sandy beaches are rather rare in Croatia, but the sea on the pebble beaches is very clear and offers a variety of blue and turquoise tones.

The island of Brač is only a few nautical miles from Trogir. It is very popular with windsurfers. The beach Zlatni Rat in the south of the island is particularly impressive. It stretches almost 500 meters into the sea. Its brilliant white pebbles stand out clearly against the blue tones of the water and the green of the surrounding vegetation. Not only a pleasure to swim in, it is also extremely impressive to the eye. Due to its beauty, the beach is very popular and always well visited.

On Biševo there is one of the most popular destinations in the region - the blue cave. It is accessible from the sea by boats, but access by private boats is prohibited, so you have to join one of the guided tours. Nevertheless, a worthwhile excursion. Due to the incidence of sunlight through the roof of the cave, the water seems to glow blue.

For those who crave some exercise away from the water, a stopover on Korčula is recommended. The island is relatively hilly, the two highest elevations Klupca and Kommt reach a height of over 500 meters. There is a relatively well-developed network of paths for cycling and hiking tours. In addition, the island is covered with pine forests, which offers shade and cooler temperatures, especially during the midday hours. For those who prefer to go to the water, the beach of Lumbarda is recommended. At the beach there is also the possibility to rent kayaks to discover the smaller islands off the coast.

The island of Lastovo is also very suitable for hiking trips. In addition, the island is known among amateur astronomers for its particularly good possibilities to see the Milky Way from here. Make yourself comfortable in one of the anchor bays in the west of the island, enjoy a glass of red wine on deck and watch the rising night sky.

Speaking of red wine, not far from Korčula lies the long Pelješac peninsula. Wine lovers may be familiar with this stretch of land. Besides tourism, wine growing plays an important economic role. From the Mali Plavac vines grown here, Dingač is produced. A deep red, almost black red wine, which is one of the best in Croatia.

Why choose Trogir to Charter a Yacht

Hidden in the heart of Dalmatia like a pearl in a clam, Trogir (formerly Trau) is one of the oldest cities in the eastern Adriatic. The atmospheric old town, with its well-preserved Romanesque and Renaissance buildings, maze-like narrow streets and pretty fishing harbour, is a delight to explore.

The Cathedral of St. Lawrence, cobbled Central Square, St Michael’s Bell Tower, 15th-century Kamerlengo Fortress all add up to a very good reason why the town received Unesco World Heritage status in 1997.

Venetian influence is strongly evident here – no wonder, the Venetians ruled the town for around four centuries. In fact, the island town is virtually a replica of 16th-century Venice, with its collection of Romanesque and Renaissance architecture. An episode of Doctor Who, the British science fiction TV series, called The Vampires of Venice, was even filmed here.

What you can do in Trogir

Trogir is an easy day trip from Split and a relaxing place to spend a few days, taking an outing or two to nearby islands, such as Čiovo, with its charming secret beaches.

The local cuisine deserves all the accolades it gets. Konoba Trs, for example, is famous for its truffle pasta and seafood; Don Dino makes delicious veal rack and grilled sea bass; Restaurant Vanjaka serves Dalmatian-style fish and lip-smacking mussels in white wine. Speaking of wines – don’t miss Crljenak Kaštelanski, the acclaimed red wine also known as Zinfandel. Or, if you’re in the mood for white wines, try Marastina — it goes particularly well with white fish, complemented with lemon and capers.

Fish and seafood play an important role in local cuisine, only natural given the Adriatic islands’ rich marine life. The locals love to fish for sport, but it’s a tourist pastime, too. Try your hand at catching sardines, squid, scorpion fish, pinky redfish grouper or John Dory, also known as St Peter’s fish. Few pastimes compare with the relaxation and reward of fishing in the Adriatic Sea. Once you’re on board your luxury yacht, it takes very little effort to organise.

Segeltörn ab Trogir: Allgemeine Informationen zur Hafenstadt

Bei einem Yachtcharter ab Trogir lässt sich entspanntes Segeln mit einem Städtetrip verbinden. Trogir hat sich den mittelalterlichen Stadtkern bewahrt und zählt seit 1997 zum UNESCO-Weltkulturerbe. Die Altstadt liegt auf einer Halbinsel, die in der Zeit der Römer vom Festland durch einen Kanal getrennt wurde. Buntes Treiben auf den Straßen und Gassen, zahlreiche Bars, Cafés, Restaurants und Souvenirgeschäfte machen die Altstadt von Trogir heute lebendig. Für Kulturinteressierte gibt es eine Vielzahl an Sehenswürdigkeiten aus verschiedenen Epochen:

• Kathedrale des heiligen Laurentius
• Festung Kamerlengo
• Cipiko-Palast
• Glockenturm des Heiligen Sebastian

Trogir ist mit der Insel Čiovo über eine Brücke verbunden. Dort findet man einsame Buchten zum Baden und Entspannen. Ebenso werden auf der Insel verschiedene Wassersportarten angeboten. Empfehlenswerte, charmante Dörfer sind Arbanija und Slatin. Östlich von Trogir befindet sich Split, das wirtschaftliche und kulturelle Zentrum Dalmatiens.

Yachtcharter Trogir: vielfältige Törns und Ausflugsziele im Segelrevier der mitteldalmatinischen Inseln

In unmittelbarer Nähe zum historischen Stadtkern und zur Uferpromenade liegt die ACI Marina Trogir . Dort findet man zahlreiche Cafés oder Konobas - kleine Restaurants mit landestypischen Gerichten.

Lohnenswerte Segelziele ab der Marina Trogir sind die Insel Brač, mit dem beliebten Hafenort Milna und Hvar, Vis und Šolt. Ebenso kann man bei einem Segeltörn ab Trogir die Altstadt von Korčula entdecken oder die Blaue Grotte auf Biševo genießen. Einige Marinas liegen in unmittelbarer Nachbarschaft, wodurch sich die verschiedenen Inseln in kurzen Etappen bei einem Yachtcharter ab Trogir angenehm befahren lassen. Dazu zählen Kremik, Primosten, Kastela oder Split. So können auch Segelanfänger oder Familien mit einer Chartercrew oder einem Skipper die dalmatinischen Inseln mit ihren unzähligen Buchten auf einer Segelyacht oder einem Katamaran entdecken.

Die beste Reisezeit zum Segeln ab Trogir ist von Mai bis September. In diesem Zeitraum herrschen angenehme Temperaturen um die 24°C und kaum Niederschlag. Mit einer Yachtchartercrew erlebt man einen unvergesslichen Segeltörn zu den Kornaten oder in Richtung Süden zu den dalmatinischen Inseln.

Trogir verfügt über die Stadtstrände Medena und Pantana, die sich östlich der Altstadt am Rande eines Naturschutzgebietes befindet. Der Strand Seget liegt im gleichnamigen Ortsteil und ist aufgrund des gleichmäßig abfallenden Kieselstrands beliebt. Familien bevorzugen den Strand Copacabana auf der Insel Čiovo, der mit weißen Kieselsteinen bedeckt ist. In näherer Umgebung befinden sich weitere Strände und einsame Buchten.

ACI Marina Trogir - Segelyacht, Segelboot oder Katamaran chartern

Die ACI Marina von Trogir befindet sich auf der kleinen Insel Čiovo. Sie lässt sich von der Altstadt zu Fuß über die Brücke in weniger als 100 m erreichen. Im Jahr 2017 wurde der Yachthafen von Trogir in der Aktion “Touristische Blume – Qualität für Kroatien” mit dem 3. Platz in der Kategorie der besten kleinen Marina an der Adria ausgezeichnet.

Die ACI Marina Trogir verfügt über 170 Liegeplätze mit Strom- und Wasseranschluss und über 35 Trockenliegeplätze. Da sich die Brücke zwischen Stadtkern und Marina nicht öffnen lässt, können nur Schiffe bis zu einer Höhe von 2,60 m darunter durchfahren. Für Segler, die von Osten einlaufen, ist die Richtung mit roten und grünen Bojen gekennzeichnet. Die Wassertiefe in der Durchfahrt beträgt hier 4,50 m .

Infrastruktur der Marina Trogir

Der Yachthafen Marina Trogir verfügt über eine sehr gute Infrastruktur sowie diverse Dienstleistungen und Einrichtungen des täglichen Bedarfs. Dazu zählen:

Einkaufen in Trogir

Große Supermärkte gibt es vor allem auf dem Festland. Ein kleiner Obst- und Gemüsemarkt befindet sich kurz vor der Brücke zur Altstadt. In der Altstadt selbst gibt es täglich einen großen Fisch- und Bauernmarkt, zahlreiche kleinere Läden und Geschäfte wie Bäcker und Fleischer.

Where can you go with a boat from Trogir?

Trogir is a port town in Croatia. It is often visited merely as a daytrip destination. However, Trogir is much more than that. It was founded in the 3rd century BC as the Greek colony. Trogir old town is under UNESCO heritage because it is the most preserved Romanesque-Gothic town in the entire Europe. Well developed port for motorboats makes it a perfect starting point for your boating vacation. Split airport lay on the outskirts of the town while Split town is only 25km away.

Split is the largest city in Dalmatia. Besides the amazing history, culture and gastronomy it also offers a great nightlife. Split is a boating destination for motorboats, catamarans and yachts. In the center of Split old town lays the main port. However, this area is restricted for mooring a boat. Matejuska pier is usually the meeting point for most of the boat tours.

Ciovo island is often considered to be a suburb of Trogir because of the proximity and bridge connection. However, the south side of the island offeres some beautiful bays that can be reached by boat, like the Duga bay, Labadusa and Uvala Krusica. Drvenik Veli is located only 6 miles from Trogir and it is one of the most popular islands to visit, while Drvenik Mali is another mile away. Popular swimming spots like the Blue lagoon and Vela Rina are only a short boat ride away.

Solta island , also known as the green island has some beautiful bays and villages to visit. Maslinica, Rogac, Necujam and a shipreck of Kontesa, Stomorksa, Gornja Krusica are perfect destinations on the safe side of the island. While the undevoleped south sides offers some hidden gems like Poganica, Tatinja, Stracinska and Travna. However, those might be more suitable for more experienced sailors. 

Brac island also has a lot of fishermen villages on the seaside. Milna town on the way to Bol and the Golden horn is a perfect stop.

Hvar, Pakleni islands , Vis and the Blue cave can also be reached from Trogir.
