A Nautical Wedding at Columbia Yacht Club in Chicago, Illinois. Dan Alexander, 27, who works in freight logistics, wed his bride Katie Alexander, 26, who works in lab management, on a beautiful summer day in Chicago. The couple met through a mutual friend in Indianapolis shortly after Katie graduated college.

Welcome Aboard. Since 1892, Columbia Yacht Club has been known and continues to be celebrated as the club that fosters a deep sense of pride and camaraderie among its members, officers, and staff. Members are drawn together by their love of the Lake, whether racing, cruising, power boating or simply enjoying the view from the Club.

Our Wedding Vision. We wanted our day to be effortlessly fun! We partied at the Columbia Yacht Club, an old ice breaker that sits permanently (and solidly) on the shore of Lake Michigan at the end of Lower Randolph. The ship has beautiful wood paneling, a bridge with wheel and gear shift (like in Titanic), and narrow halls to explore.
