German builder, Drettmann Yachts , has proudly announced that the construction of the new 24-metre Drettmann Explorer 24 yacht goes towards its completion. The steel hull and aluminium superstructure of the 24m superyacht DEY 24 have been successfully joined together.

For the many interested parties who had attended the “ Boot ” in 2013, it is a happy message. Above all the 24 meter model is the first one of a whole fleet of 27-, 32-, 37-, and 45 meter-Drettmann-Yachts which are continuously realized in close future. An event is the wedding also, because no other yacht serves so many innovations like this latest development from the house Drettmann.

Already the manufacturing location is a novelty: after many years Drettmann Yachts works together for the first time again with a European partner, the Dutch Acico Yachts , one shipyard with a worldwide good reputation and high qualified employee’s and guarantor for high quality standard, which is accustomed by Drettmann. In late 2014 this work will be completed and the amazement begins. For example about the versatility of the DEY. The Exterior design of Drettmann and Focus Yachts Design appears masculine, sporty and created for long excursions on the sea in the deep south or in the high north, for water and diving sport. Additional offers the impressive big beach club with spa freedom of movement, which invites to bath, to surf and jet skiing or to chill, or the attractive lounge landscape, with bar and sunbathing area directly on the water.

Further highlights on board the 24m DEY 24 yacht are the impressive large eating and living area on the main deck or 54 square meter fly bridge deck with outside steering position, two sofa areas, bar and BBQ. As outside so inside: also here an unusually luxuriant space offer, as it was not seen in this first-class yet. The exclusive, clear and creative interior design of Claudia Drettmann and Birgit Schnaase enforced the impression of comfort and courtesy and give the DEY her own special flair.

New power ahead

As a real revolution in progress is optimized the diesel-electric POD drive of the DEY.  A technical innovation, which affects positive at different areas on board, be it rides comfort, maneuverability, and energy consumption or vibration behavior. Not to forget the room layout, which thanks to the innovative, quite new space saving drive system, until now unthinkable possibilities arise. The yacht can be steered simply by joystick, the energy efficiency is increased and oscillations are considerably damped. The machine room is placed decentralized with this mode of drive, underfloor in the foreship. This gives new clearances on lower cover and short ways from the guest cabins to the beach club and from the sea. With these and many other special features steers Explorer directly in new high first-class. The same is also valid for this company Drettmann himself.

Zeus offers guest accommodation for up to 6 guests in 3 suites comprising a master suite, one double cabin and one twin cabin. She is also capable of carrying up to 4 crew onboard to ensure a relaxed luxury yacht charter experience.

Whatever your activities on your charter, you'll find some impressive features are seamlessly integrated to help you, particularly Wi-Fi connectivity, allowing you to stay connected at all times, should you wish. Built with a GRP hull and GRP superstructure, she has impressive speed and great efficiency thanks to her planing hull. Zeus comfortably cruises at 34 knots, reaches a maximum speed of 36 knots. With a shallow draft of 1.2m/3'11" Zeus can anchor closer to coves and sheltered bays overnight.

Lovely 24m Classic Trawler with modern features

24 m MY Base Information

This 24m Yacht is a wonderful piece of traditional looking yacht in combination with the latest technologies and built with the experience of over 350 projects from our shipyard.

The yacht has a lot of features coming from the super yachts done by NEDSHIP, which gives a much more volume and functionality to the yacht than on comparable yachts this size on the market.

Beside the full beam master cabin on the guest deck, there are 3 more guest cabins each with its own bathroom, so that the yacht can accommodate up to 8 guests.

The traditional design offers more space as it looks. The beam of 6.5m is much more than on comparable yachts and also the sun deck shows much more space for sun bathing, dining and relaxing.

The crew is located on the bow section and accommodates 2 crew members.

Two Caterpillar C 18 are bringing an economical cruising speed of 15kn and a top speed of 19 kn.

The yacht is built in high class epoxy composite with Carbon reinforcements. This material has some of the following advantages compare to GRP or steel:

• Better noise protection
• More lightweight, means better economy
• Better half-life, means the hull and structure keeps its quality, so also less maintenance
