If Jeff Bezos’ and Lauren Sánchez’ hot yacht summer were a movie, it would be a mashup of “Three Coins in the Fountain,” “Eat Pray Love” and “The Perfect Storm” — and the season’s not over yet.

The 60-year-old billionaire and his fiancée, 54, are sailing the Mediterranean again this summer on Bezos’ $485 million yacht Koru , which features a sultry figurehead on the prow that looks an awful lot like Sánchez.

They’ve cruised to Greece, Italy and Spain, with a pit stop Wednesday on the secluded island of Menorca in the Balearics, where they took refuge — along with some other expensive yachts — from a low-pressure storm called Dana.

Bezos and Sánchez have been accompanied on the 417-ft Koru by their support yacht, Abeona , which holds their water toys and a fleet of A-list guests who have included Kim Kardashian, Katy Perry, Orlando Bloom, Leonardo DiCaprio and his 25-year-old Italian supermodel girlfriend Vittoria Ceretti, and others.

“They’re the flavor of the month in the Med,” said a longtime entertainment exec just back from a month in the South of France.

“For a while it was the Russians, and way back in the day it was Ari [Onassis] and Maria [Callas] on the [yacht] Christina. But the Russians like Roman Abramovich are pretty much gone now. There’s always a new wave,” the exec said. “[Sánchez] seems tacky but I’ve heard she’s very nice and Bezos adores her. Is she ever going to look like Babe Paley? Not in this lifetime.”

The exec also pointed out that the Koru is more than 100 feet longer than Barry Diller’s yacht, which measures just over 300 feet — but not as big as David Geffen’s 453-foot vessel — saying billionaires often have “aquatic penis envy.”

The world’s second-richest couple channeled their inner Audrey Hepburn and Gregory Peck in Rome on Tuesday when they shared a passionate kiss in front of the famed Trevi Fountain, seemingly oblivious to the hordes of tourists.

Bezos, in a fitted golf shirt, navy pants and boating shoes, and Sánchez, in a red halter minidress and peep-toe heels, also joined the crowd in the time-honored tradition of tossing money into the fountain with their right hands.

Oh, to know what they wished for.

Later they held hands and walked down cobblestone streets to their dinner destination, Pierluigi, where photographers snapped them dining on white wine, salad and bread at a table containing a singular red rose.

The couple took a bit of a solemn detour on land on Thursday when they swung by the Vatican for a visit with 87-year-old Pope Francis.

“He reminded us not to take life too seriously, a simple yet powerful reminder to keep lightness in our hearts,” Sanchez wrote on social media.

Bezos and Sánchez began their summer in June island-hopping in Greece with a rare appearance by Bezos’ 19-year-old son Preston, who Bezos shares with his ex-wife Mackenzie Scott.

Kim Kardashian then joined them, zipping around the Med on jetskis . At one point Kardashian and an unidentified blonde rode her jetski as they took selfies.

The “Keeping Up With the Kardashians” alum has been tight with Sánchez and Bezos for a couple of years,  going on a double date  in 2022 and  attending a Beyoncé concert  in 2023.

In September 2023, the trio  had dinner together in New York City , joined by Nicky Hilton.

The “Kardashians” star made it clear that Sánchez is  part of her inner circle  when she celebrated her birthday in a Season 5 episode.

Meanwhile, Bezos and Sánchez were also spotted on their own in Greece on the island of Hydra, walking hand-in-hand on the seafront. They popped up next on Mykonos and from there it was on to Pserimos, famed for its beaches.

July saw them jet to Sun Valley, Idaho, for the town’s namesake financial conference attended by billionaires.

Last weekend, the pair pulled up on the island of Sardinia with Perry, Bloom, DiCaprio and Ceretti. The celebs came to shore on one of Bezos’ smaller boats for lunch at a high-end beach resort before heading back to Koru.

Bloom and Perry — who started  their own month-long vacation in France  — also vacationed with Bezos and Sánchez  around this time last year. In August 2023, the foursome was spotted walking around Dubrovnik, Croatia, with Usher.

DiCaprio and Bezos have  been “really close friends” for years,  with a source previously telling Page Six they often vacation together and find “common ground in the  fight against climate change  and their work in environmental activism.”

Koru ranks as the planet’s thirty-second largest yacht and costs about $25 million to operate annually. The vessel can accommodate 18 guests and requires a crew of 40 sailors to manage its amenities.

Its three huge, 229-foot masts power it to 20 knots. It’s also the biggest billionaire’s yacht which can move under sail power alone.

Bezos and Sánchez recently relocated from Seattle to Indian Creek Island in Miami, where Bezos bought three mansions for about $237 million — surely a nice home if you’ve got to be on land.

On the eve of her Vogue debut , Lauren Sánchez and her fiancé, Jeff Bezos, were fêted with an engagement party. And like all things the couple does, the event was not to be ignored. The venue? Barry Diller and Diane von Furstenberg’s Beverly Hills home. Diller and von Furstenberg, as two of the couple’s closet friends, played host, welcoming Oprah Winfrey, Salma Hayek Pinault, Barbra Streisand , Kris Jenner, Sarah Staudinger, Robert Pattinson, Suki Waterhouse, Miranda Kerr, and more to the engagement party.

Sánchez wore an off-the-shoulder Laura Basci mini dress with a basque waistline and a custom-made layered Lorraine Schwartz cross necklace. Bezos wore a light-colored blazer over a T-shirt. Basci, a Swiss designer who most recently dressed Gwyneth Paltrow at the CFDA Awards , has an atelier in Los Angeles. Upon seeing the dress, Sánchez knew it was the one.

At dinner, where long tables were set with meadowy arrangements of dahlias, Winfrey proffered her signature affection, embracing the bride-to-be. Kris Jenner, dressed in Chanel, posed for pictures with Staud designer Sarah Staudinger. All were treated to a speech from Bezos, which was dedicated to his fiancée, and a performance from Jewel.

“They’re very in love with each other—they’re demonstrably in love,” Diller told Vogue. “She’s lit him up in the nicest ways. She’s a great stimulant.”

Followers of the couple’s matrimonial timeline might recall an earlier engagement party held this summer on Bezos’s yacht, Koru, with attendees Leonardo DiCaprio, Bill Gates, and Queen Rania of Jordan. With one event held at sea, and the other held on land, the setting for their actual wedding is anyone’s guess. Our bet’s on outer space.

Jeff Bezos has been spotted taking his new megayacht out for the first time.

The billionaire Amazon founder was seen shirtless as he sunbathed on the $500 million yacht with his girlfriend, Lauren Sanchez , along the coast of Spain on Monday, according to Page Six .

The yacht, a 417-foot vessel called Koru, is believed to be the largest sailing yacht in the world. Its construction stirred controversy when it nearly required a historic bridge in Rotterdam in Netherlands be dismantled because the yacht's masts were too tall to pass under the bridge, despite its 131-foot clearance.

The 100-year-old Koningshaven Bridge, known to locals as "De Hef," had been renovated in 2017, and the city had vowed not to take it apart again after that, according to Dutch broadcaster Rijnmond .

Locals grew outraged, threatening to egg the yacht if the bridge was dismantled. Koru's Dutch shipmaker, Oceanco, withdrew its request , and the yacht was quietly towed away to another shipyard. Its masts were installed later to avoid a clearance issue.

Koru was seen doing its sea trials , which consist of several tests and are usually one of the last phases of construction, in February, and it made its maiden voyage in April when it left Oceanco's facilities to travel to Gibraltar along its way to Bezos.

Does Jeff Bezos's New Yacht Feature a Sculpture of Lauren Sánchez?

The world's largest sailing yacht appears to have a figurehead that resembles Sánchez.

Jeff Bezos has a new superyacht, and the prow features a sculpture that strongly resembles his girlfriend, Lauren Sánchez.

The yacht, which is named "Koru" and reportedly cost around $500 million, features a wooden figurehead of a woman that seems to be based on Sánchez. In addition, the sculpture is wearing the symbol for Koru, which is Māori for "loop or coil" and represents creation.

Per the Encyclopedia of New Zealand , "The koru, which is often used in Māori art as a symbol of creation, is based on the shape of an unfurling fern frond. Its circular shape conveys the idea of perpetual movement, and its inward coil suggests a return to the point of origin. The koru therefore symbolises the way in which life both changes and stays the same."

Bezos has previously posted about the symbol of koru, including a photo in his New Year's Day post in 2022, where he wrote, "the new year is also a great time to take stock and focus on personal growth, renewal, rebirth, and paying careful attention to each moment of your life. Bezos and Sánchez have been spotted this week on the three-mast yacht off the coast of Spain. At 417 feet, it is the largest sailing yacht in the world, and it is trailed by a 246-foot support vessel called the Abeona.

Bezos and his first wife, MacKenzie Bezos , divorced in April 2019 , and he has been publicly dating Sánchez since that same year.

It is yacht season, a time of year that occurs whenever or wherever there is nice weather for yachting on one’s yacht. What are the activities of yacht season? Well, if one is a billionaire or friends with one, dining, swimming, lounging, tanning, and feeling the ocean breeze through your hair. But for those landlubbers destined to only ever look at yachts through a screen, the activity of yacht season is mainly looking at photos of the yachters on their yachts while comparing the billionaires’ big boats. 

Roman Abramovich ’s yacht Eclipse has a mini submarine on board and two helipads. Bernard Arnault ’s yacht has a grand piano and a cinema. Jeff Bezos ’s new yacht also has a name—Koru—and has three large masts, making it a sailing schooner that harkens back to the golden age of seafaring (though, at 417 feet, way bigger than those boats generally were). It’s the Renaissance fair of the seas. 

And no Dutch-built yacht would be complete without a Valkyrie at its prow. The one on Koru looks a helluva lot like Lauren Sanchez, his girlfriend. Bezos has not commented on his ship to the press, so whether the figurehead is explicitly based on Sanchez’s visage and body is simply conjecture. Here, for example, is the Daily Mail conjecturing: “ curvaceous winged GODDESS…bears striking resemblance to none other than…Ms. Sanchez! ”

Some people’s love language is words of affirmation. Some prefer giving gifts. Still more people’s love language is building hyperrealistic shrines to your love on your big, huge, reportedly half-a-billion-dollar yacht . All are valid ways of expressing devotion. 

Besides a lifelike statue of his girlfriend, Bezos’s yacht has an on-deck pool as well as a pet yacht—that is, a smaller dinghy (only 246 feet) that provides a helipad and storage for “toys,” and follows the big yacht around, according to The New York Times .  Koru has been under construction for years, but Bezos’s yacht was first spotted sailing in the seas of Spain’s Mallorca on Monday. The couple were photographed on board in their swim trunks , enjoying the fruits of their patience.

Lauren Sanchez and Jeff Bezos  are having the time of their lives in Capri. The celebrity couple have been photographed enjoying special moments in Italy, inside their lavish yacht and around the island. Most recently, the pair had a romantic outing dressed in all-white ensembles after a fun day of relaxation and suntanning with their closest friends.

Lauren and Jeff were photographed holding hands around the island, heading to a romantic dinner, joined by their team and inner circle. The former journalist wore a white dress paired with white heels and a jaw-dropping diamond necklace. 

After their outing, they were spotted heading back to their yacht. Jeff wore a white shirt paired with black trousers. The pair looked happy ahead of their wedding, with the billionaire showing his love for Lauren, even at one point giving her a sweet embrace. 

The pair also enjoyed their time with their friends, sharing a fun time after a helicopter ride. Lauren can be seen having a casual conversation with the rest of the crew, after spending the day working on her tan with Jeff by her side. 

Lauren wore a stylish brown bikini, showing off her incredible figure while having lunch with the billionaire. She paired the look with dark sunglasses. Meanwhile, Jeff wore a pair of blue shorts.

Billionaire Amazon founder Jeff Bezos and his fiancée Lauren Sánchez have been spotted living it up on the Greek island of Mykonos , according to a report, arriving in seriously luxurious style. A source told Page Six that helicopter pilot Sánchez was seen flying a chopper “on and off their support boat, where they keep all their toys . . . helicopters, speed boats and other water toys.” The source also said that Bezos is “keeping the super big boat they live on” on a side of the island where there’s “less wind.” That would be his superyacht Koru, a colossal triple-masted schooner stretching over 400 feet in length, which cost a reported $500 million to build. The couple, who recently celebrated Sánchez’s son’s college graduation, has been photographed out and about together in the streets of Mykonos and they’ve also reportedly dined with Bezos’ son, Preston, around 100 miles away on the island of Hydra.

The couple had an engagement party aboard his yacht on the Amalfi Coast in Italy, a source confirms to PEOPLE

Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sánchez are celebrating their engagement in style.

The billionaire, 59, and the Emmy Award-winning journalist, 53, had an engagement party aboard the Amazon founder's yacht on the Amalfi Coast in Italy on Wednesday, a source confirms to PEOPLE.

The celebration took place over two months after the couple got engaged in May.

Bezos and Sánchez took their relationship public in January 2019, shortly after Bezos announced his divorce from MacKenzie Scott after 25 years of marriage.

Sánchez was also divorcing her husband of 13 years, Patrick Whitesell, around the same time. She has two children with him, and a son from a previous relationship with former NFL star  Tony Gonzalez .

Shortly after their engagement, a source told PEOPLE that Bezos and Sánchez "are really in love and happy which makes everyone who knows them happy."

"All of her friends say this is her dream come true. She found the man she wants to spend the rest of her life with and they felt the time was right," the source added.

In addition to showing off her engagement ring onboard the  $500 million yacht , the couple have been seen spending plenty of quality time together aboard the vessel this summer.

Last week, the couple were spotted locking lips while traveling in Capri.

The boat, named Koru, is believed to be the largest sailing yacht in the world and notably has a  wooden sculpture that resembles Bezos'  fiancée on the prow. The sculpture bears the symbol for Koru — which is Māori for loop or coil and is based on the spiral shape of an unfurling silver fern frond — as a necklace.

Since  stepping down  as CEO of Amazon in 2021, Bezos has focused his efforts on conservation and his space exploration company, Blue Origin. Additionally, the pair are both dedicated to their work for  the Bezos Earth Fund , an initiative they launched to help fight climate change, which Sánchez co-chairs.

During a joint interview last year, Bezos also said he  plans to give away most of his $124 billion fortune  in his lifetime, focusing primarily on fighting climate change and supporting others who can help improve the deep divide over social and political issues.

"The hard part is figuring out how to do it in a levered way," he said of his philanthropic strategy as Sánchez added that they make " really great teammates ."

Lauren Sanchez has spoken candidly about her relationship with fiancé Jeff Bezos , while revealing whether she’ll be taking his last name when they exchange vows.

The former news reporter, 53, discussed her upcoming nuptials, after getting engaged on Bezos’ yacht – Koru – in May, during an interview with Vogue , published on 13 November. According to Sanchez, she and Bezos haven’t made any official wedding plans yet.

“We’re still thinking about the wedding,” she said. “What it’s going to be. Is it going to be big? Is it going to be overseas? We don’t know yet. We’ve only been engaged for five months!”

She recalled how the Amazon founder popped the question while on his yacht this summer, noting that he hid the ring under her pillow after dinner one night. Sanchez went on to share her reaction to the proposal, recalling: “When he opened the box, I think I blacked out a bit.”

She also didn’t hesitate to confirm that, once she gets married, she’ll be taking her husband’s last name. “Uh, yes, one hundred per cent,” she said. “I am looking forward to being Mrs Bezos.”

The former TV anchor went on to open up about her dynamic with the billionaire, who is one of the richest men in the world. According to Forbes , Bezos has a net worth of $165.7bn.

“I think there are a lot of opportunities that come with that, and I take those opportunities very seriously,” she explained. “We always look at each other and go: ‘We’re the team.’ So everything’s shared.”

She then confessed that she’s thought about her wedding dress, noting that “there’s so many incredible designers” who could make it, with her favourites being Christian Dior, Dolce & Gabbana, and Valentino. After expressing that she’ll look for a gown once things “slow down,” she added that another big occasion is coming up before the wedding, Bezos’ 60th birthday.

“It’s a huge birthday,” she said. “There is no slowing him down. He works all the time.”

Earlier this year, it was first reported that Sanchez and Bezos had gotten engaged after five years of dating . The news came while they were on a vacation in Europe over the summer, after they first arrived in Italy via helicopter. The couple then made their way to Koru, which is reportedly worth more than $75m .

In August, they hosted an engagement party with some famous guests, including Bill Gates and his girlfriend, Paula Hurd . People first reported that the celebration took place aboard the Amazon founder’s yacht on the Amalfi Coast, Italy. Weeks after their reported engagement party, they also pledged $100m towards relief efforts in Maui after a series of devastating wildfires .

In September, Sanchez expressed her gratitude for the quality time she has with her fiancé on social media. As she shared a sweet snap of herself and Bezos on a walk, she simply captioned the Instagram post: “Nothing better than when I get to see him for lunch between his meetings .”

Earlier this year, Sanchez first opened up about the challenges she’s faced while in a high-profile relationship. Speaking to WSJ Magazine in January, the reporter said that her relationship with Bezos meant that she has had to change the way she shares her secrets.

“It’s hard. I’m a very open person. I talk a lot. I like to tell all my secrets,” she said, before adding: “I have had to learn that I can’t do that.”

She also said that she was focused on maintaining her privacy and keeping some information to herself, which is something she keeps in mind “all the time”.

“I want to tell everyone everything. I want everyone to be my friend!” she said. “I learned how to not give the location of where I’m at. I can’t Instagram things that I normally would before. I have to be more private, a little more controlled, and that’s fine.”

Lauren Sanchez, former entertainment journalist and helicopter pilot, is eagerly awaiting her wedding to Amazon founder Jeff Bezos. In an interview with Extra on Monday, Sanchez expressed her excitement about tying the knot with Bezos, saying she is “most excited” to “get to marry the man of (her) dreams.”

Excitement for marriage

Sanchez, 54, couldn’t contain her enthusiasm as she discussed her upcoming nuptials. “He’s amazing. I get to spend the rest of my life with him, and he loves my kids. That’s what I’m most looking forward to,” she shared. The helicopter pilot has three children: son Nikko, 23, with her ex Tony Gonzalez, and two children, Evan, 18, and Ella, 16, with her ex-husband Patrick Whitesell.

She and Bezos, 60, have been publicly dating since 2019, with the Amazon founder proposing four years later. Sanchez recounted the proposal to Vogue in November 2023, sharing how she was momentarily overwhelmed when Bezos presented her with a cushion-cut diamond ring. “When he opened the box, I think I blacked out a bit,” she admitted.

Lauren Sanchez on wedding details

Despite their plans, the couple is still deciding on wedding details. “We’re still thinking about it. Is it going to be big? Overseas? We don’t know yet,” Sanchez told Extra. She did mention that she has been focused on the release of her children’s book, The Fly Who Flew to Space, but plans to “get to the wedding soon.”

During her chat with Extra host Billy Bush, a light-hearted moment ensued when Bush jokingly offered to be the ring bearer. Sanchez, amused, responded, “Oh, that’s good. That’s good. I was looking for one.”

No specifics about the wedding’s date or location have been revealed yet, but Sanchez’s excitement is palpable. Bezos, previously married to MacKenzie Scott, has three children with his ex-wife. The couple’s blended family, which Sanchez affectionately calls the “Brady Bunch,” spends regular time together. “On a typical Saturday, we hang out and have dinner with the kids. You never know where the conversation is going to go,” she remarked during an interview with WSJ. Magazine .

A mega-yacht and a dazzling ring

Earlier in 2023, Sanchez and Bezos made headlines as they sailed across Europe on their mega-yacht, Koru. While the paparazzi were fixated on the power couple, it was Sanchez’s spectacular engagement ring that frequently stole the limelight. The ring, featuring a reportedly 20-carat pink diamond, generated significant buzz. Although neither Bezos, 60, nor Sanchez, 54, disclosed specifics, friends of the couple confirmed the engagement to various entertainment outlets. Lauren Sanchez's humble childhood home is worlds away from million dollar properties she shares with Jeff Bezos

The media personality is engaged to the amazon billionaire.

Lauren Sánchez , 54, made a heartfelt return to her hometown of Albuquerque, New Mexico, for a nostalgic trip down memory lane. 

The media personality and fiancée of billionaire Jeff Bezos, 60, was back in her roots to celebrate the release of her new children’s book, The Fly Who Flew to Space . Although Lauren now lives a life of luxury alongside Jeff, one of the world’s richest men, this visit was all about reconnecting with her past and the place that shaped her early years.

Taking to Instagram to document her trip, Lauren shared a series of touching moments, including a special visit to the family home where she grew up. "Nothing better than coming home," she wrote in her caption. "Went down memory lane. Stopping by the old house with Dad. Ate amazing food."

In one of the standout images, Lauren  posed proudly in front of the quaint yellow home with her father, Ray Sánchez, by her side. Her arm around him, the two beamed in front of the house where Lauren spent her childhood years.

This return to her roots marked a poignant moment for the journalist, who has gone from small-town beginnings to travelling the world with one of the most powerful men on the planet.

Lauren’s homecoming also included a stop at Blake’s Lotaburger, a beloved local fast food chain, where she indulged in a classic cheeseburger—a comforting reminder of her upbringing. 

The visit was part of a whirlwind trip that brought back fond memories and allowed Lauren to reconnect with her community. She also took time to host an event for her book, with family, friends, and even an old teacher in attendance, who surprised her by bringing a yearbook from her school days.

Born and raised in Albuquerque, Lauren attended Del Norte High School, where she was a cheerleader before setting her sights on California. After graduating, she enrolled in El Camino College and later transferred to the University of Southern California, where she majored in communications—a move that set the stage for her impressive career in broadcasting.

Her early days in the media world saw her working as an intern at KCOP-TV in Los Angeles before becoming a reporter at KTVK-TV in Phoenix. Lauren later returned to LA, where she worked as a special correspondent for Extra. But it wasn’t just her career that would take off—her personal life would soon become a media sensation as well.

Lauren’s relationship with Jeff Bezos became public in 2019, sparking headlines worldwide. The couple’s love story took centre stage when Jeff, the founder of Amazon and one of the world’s wealthiest men, proposed to Lauren in May 2023.

 The engagement was a grand affair, taking place aboard Jeff’s $500 million superyacht, with Lauren wearing a dazzling pear-shaped diamond ring, estimated to be worth $2 million.

The couple’s engagement followed a series of highly publicised personal changes for both Lauren and Jeff. Jeff’s relationship with Lauren became public following the end of his 25-year marriage to MacKenzie Scott, which resulted in one of the largest divorce settlements in history. Similarly, Lauren’s marriage to Hollywood talent agent Patrick Whitesell also ended, with whom she shares two children, a son and a daughter.

Jeff’s real estate portfolio includes a third mansion on Florida’s exclusive Indian Creek Island, also known as the "Billionaire Bunker," bringing his total investment in the area to an astonishing $237 million. The latest acquisition, a six-bedroom mansion purchased for $90 million, adds to a collection of properties that spans New York City, Washington D.C., Beverly Hills, and even a private estate in Hawaii.

The Amazon tycoon’s collection also includes a former textile museum in Washington D.C., bought for $23 million, and a sprawling 14-acre estate in Maui, Hawaii, which set him back an estimated $78 million.

But the “Good Day L.A.” alum’s former yoga instructor claims her ex-student is more interested in reaching for other people’s intellectual property.

In a complaint filed Tuesday in Los Angeles County Superior Court, yoga instructor Alanna Zabel, the author of seven children’s books, accused Sánchez of misappropriating a book concept she originated over a decade ago and shared with Sánchez in confidence.

Zabel says it’s a blatant rip-off, done in retaliation for her resigning as Sánchez’s yoga instructor years before. She quit because of the media personality’s “continual and outrageous acts of jealousy,” according to court documents reviewed by The Times.

The fitness instructor is suing Sánchez for theft of ideas, theft of intellectual property and intentionally inflicted emotional distress. She is seeking compensatory and punitive damages —unspecified, though confirmed in a separate court document to exceed $35,000 — as well as a statement from Sánchez crediting the origin of her book to Zabel. She also requested that Sánchez pay her legal fees.

“This experience with Lauren is the straw that broke the camel’s back. She is not the first celebrity to knock off my work or run with my pitches, but she is the last,” Zabel said in a Thursday statement to The Times. “I have dedicated my life to teach people to live true to who they are, inspire children to live compassionate and honest lives, as well as having done the challenging personal work to live true to myself — by denying seductive people and situations that lack integrity. I am not motivated by money or status; I am motivated by truth.”

Zabel also said that she planned to release a new title in the coming months that would detail the ordeal with Sánchez “and other true stories from my experience as a ‘celebrity yoga instructor.’ ”

Sánchez has not responded to the litigation and could not be reached for comment Thursday.

According to the Tuesday filing, Zabel gave Sánchez private yoga lessons from 2007 to 2010, during which time the two women repeatedly discussed co-writing a children’s book via Zabel’s company, AZ I AM Inc.

Then, in 2022, “Plaintiff reached out directly to Defendant via email, text, and Instagram, sharing a specific book concept with Defendant, about a cat who flies to Mars, re-opening prior discussions,” the complaint said. Zabel also pitched the idea to Sánchez’s fiancée, Amazon founder Jeff Bezos, suggesting proceeds from the book go to the Bezos Earth Fund and Bezos Academy, a network of tuition-free preschools.

Zabel received no response save for a message from Bezos’ personal assistant that he’d received her email — so she went ahead with the book project, solo publishing “Dharma Kitty Goes to Mars” later that year.

The following January, Sánchez went public with her own project, going on to publish her book last week despite a cease-and-desist order Zabel obtained in April against Sánchez’s publisher the Collective Book Studio.

“Defendant’s appropriation of Plaintiff’s book concept and her disregard for Plaintiff’s intellectual property rights resulted in significant emotional distress for Plaintiff,” the Tuesday complaint said. “The betrayal and theft caused Plaintiff severe emotional harm, impacting Plaintiff’s personal and professional objectives, reputation, and well-being.”

The filing also claims Sánchez’s book “contains over 60% of similar content and story as the book concept Plaintiff had shared with Defendant,” according to a “comparative analysis” of the two works. For example, both book covers feature a “rocket logo graphic on the chest of the main character.” (In her statement to The Times, Zabel shared a side-by-side comparison of the two books posted to the AZ I AM website.)

Outside of emotional and financial damages, Zabel also said in her filing that Sánchez had inflicted upon her significant “professional harm.” Alluding to the former entertainment reporter’s increased visibility due to her relationship with Bezos, Zabel said Sánchez’s actions “reflect a misuse of her power and fame to disregard and exploit a lesser-known creative individual.”

“By leveraging her public status and influence, Defendant was able to appropriate Plaintiff’s work without consequence, exploiting the disparity in their professional standing,” she said.

As part of a promotional push, Sánchez has recently hosted numerous dinner parties attended by celebrities such as the Kardashians.

Khloe Kardashian on Tuesday shared photos from a book release party on Instagram , lauding “The Fly Who Went to Space” as “an inspiring and imaginative story that sparks curiosity and imagination while at the same time it encourages us all to shoot for the stars.”

An isle spy tells Page Six that the power couple has been seen on Mykonos, where helicopter pilot Sánchez was spotted taking a whirly-bird for a spin off the duo’s boat, which is filled with “toys,” y’know, like choppers.

Said the fellow traveler: “Jeff was seen coming from the city center in Chora ” — as the tony town is called by locals and in-the-know visitors — “and getting on and off his helicopter onto his smaller support boat.”

The couple was also photographed strolling through the streets of Mykonos hand-in-hand.

The source further said that, “Lauren has been seen flying a helicopter on and off their support boat, where they keep all their toys . . . helicopters, speed boats and other water toys.”

The source also told us that, “Jeff’s keeping the super big boat they live on, on the other side of the island where there is less wind.”

The source was referring to the couple’s famous $500 million superyacht , Koru, which they debuted last summer. Building of the mammoth vessel for the Amazon tycoon began in 2018.

Bezos also reportedly owns a “smaller” $75 million yacht, Abeona, which shadows his bigger boat . (One boat blog explained the concept: “In car terms, this is basically the same as buying a Porsche so you can drive to the garage where your Bugatti is parked.”)

The little ol’ support boat can accommodate 45, including 20 crew.

She and Bezos went public with their relationship in 2019. The pair got engaged last May, after Jeff popped the question on board his $500million superyacht.

Their engagement followed the couple having an affair, which Jeff has admitted to, leading to his divorce from wife of 25 years, Mackenzie Scott in 2019 and Lauren's split from husband Patrick Whitesell, who she married in 2005, and shared a son and daughter with.

Lauren also shares a son with former flame once-NFL tight end Tony Gonzalez, Nikko, who was born in 2001.

Four years after their affair was revealed to the world by the National Enquirer, Jeff asked Lauren to marry him, with a pear diamond estimated to be worth at least $2 million.

Since then, the couple have flaunted their love around the world, holiday aboard Jeff's megayacht.

As well as their luxury yacht trips, the couple take holidays to five-star resorts, private jet flights, and beach side getaways.

They dine in the sought-after restaurants, attend elite parties, and mingle with some of Jeff's celebrity friends.

In April, it was reported that Bezos splurged $90 million on a third mansion on Florida's exclusive Indian Creek Island, bringing his total investment in the area, known as the 'Billionaire Bunker,' to $237 million.

The Amazon founder, who was recently ranked as the third richest billionaire in the world by Forbes, agreed to pay $90 million for a six-bedroom home in the exclusive Indian Creek Village near Miami, as reported by Bloomberg.

This latest purchase comes after Bezos acquired two mansions on the ultra-exclusive island last year, one for $68 million in June and the other for $79 million in October.

According to property records, the third mansion in his Indian Creek Island portfolio was last sold in 1998 for $2.5 million.

The six-bedroom mansion is located on the opposite side of the island from the two neighboring homes that he purchased for nearly $150 million last year.

The Amazon tycoon plans to live in the house that he recently purchased in an off-market transaction while tearing down the pair of mansions, according to Bloomberg.

The latest purchase only adds to Bezos' impressive portfolio worth more than $600 million spread across New York, Washington D.C., Beverly Hills and West Texas among others.

In 2022, the billionaire added a private Hawaii estate that spans 14 acres and is surrounded by dormant lava fields to his collection.

The three-building estate, situated on the picturesque La Perouse Bay on Valley Isle in Maui, Hawaii, set the ex-Amazon head back an estimated $78 million.

The year before he added a plush Manhattan apartment to the string of properties he already owned on the high-end Fifth Avenue in New York City.

The businessman bought up five properties over the course of three years to form a de facto mega mansion.

While in 2016, Bezos dropped a cool $23 million on a former textile museum in the exclusive Kalorama neighborhood of Washington, DC.

He also snapped up a $5 million property across the street which many speculated was for privacy reasons since it had a direct line of sight into the former museum property.
