Redfox Vision Trailer Sailer / Yacht
The Red Fox Vision Category B yacht with her two unballasted asymmetric foils gives first class performance under sail.
The clever design of her hull maximises waterline length which is little more than a foot less than the overall length. On deck, going forward is easy as her side decks are over a foot wide and the grabrails on the coachroof are positioned for effective access and personal safety.
Below decks are six berths in three cabins and full headstanding room in the saloon. The galley is compact with a two-burner cooker with grill and oven and a generous size sink – worktop space is in the form of a folding leaf above the starboard settee. A separate heads has a porta potti as standard – a sea toilet is optional.

The Association
The RFOA was formed in 1999 as a result of the interest of owners of Red Fox Yachts who had previously met and communicated on a more casual basis. Membership is drawn from owners of all versions of the Red Fox 200 series and Red Fox Visions. Members are widely located around the UK with a few more overseas in Holland and Germany.
The Association serves to promote and support the various interests of these owners. This is mainly achieved by publication of a bi-annual magazine, issue of news bulletins, organisation of an annual rally and annual general meeting as well as a website. Some members meet on other occasions for either sailing or social get- togethers.

HBO is at long last signing up with the Lantern Corps.
The premium cable outlet has given a straight-to-series order for Lanterns , based on the long-running Green Lantern characters — specifically John Stewart and Hal Jordan — from DC Comics. Chris Mundy ( Ozark ) will serve as showrunner on the eight-episode drama and co-write the series with Damon Lindelof ( Watchmen, Lost ) and Eisner Award winner Tom King, known for his work on several Batman titles, Mister Miracle and Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow for DC Comics.

A creative overhaul of the show in 2022, however, saw Grahame-Smith depart (despite having written a full season’s worth of scripts) and the show refocus around John Stewart, another member of the Lantern Corps and the first Black superhero to appear in DC Comics. The reworking of the show coincided with — but wasn’t caused by — Warner Bros. Discovery’s installation of James Gunn and Peter Safran as the heads of DC Studios , charged with launching and managing a new DC Universe in film and television.
In early 2023, DC Studios scrapped the Berlanti-led Green Lantern show altogether in favor of Lanterns . “Greg’s vision was more of a space opera that he wanted to do,” Safran said at a press event unveiling the new DC slate. “Our vision is more True Detective , more of a terrestrial-based investigation story. We all agreed to part ways.”
Perhaps not coincidentally, Mundy is coming off of HBO’s True Detective: Night Country , where he was an executive producer and wrote two episodes. He also earned five Emmy nominations for writing and producing Netflix’s hugely successful drama Ozark .
Added Casey Bloys, chairman and CEO of HBO and Max Content, “We are elated to be reuniting with both Chris Mundy and Damon Lindelof as they partner with Tom for this fresh take on DC’s Green Lantern . As part of James and Peter’s vision for the DC Universe, this first new live-action series will mark an exciting new era.”
Warner Bros. Television and DC Studios will produce Lanterns . Mundy, Lindelof and King are executive producing and writing the series.

Swift – A Red Fox Vision Yacht
Tips about and features of a modern lee-board equipped boat, swift – a hunter yachts vision.
Our boat Swift is a Hunter Vision yacht – the most recent development of the Red Fox Vision designed by David Thomas. She was built by the British Hunter division of Select Yachts before they moved to Lauren Marine ( http://www.britishhunter.co.uk ).
The Vision is a 7m upgraded version of the popular Red Fox 200E 6m boats with their twin unballasted lee-boards. These 6m versions are now available as the Hunter 20 Sport and mini-C yachts. The lee-boards are lifted and lowered to tack them with the sails. Because they are shaped as hydrofoils, the lowered board offsets lee-way that would otherwise be the result of the shallow low profile keel-less hulls.
The larger Vision differs from the 6m version in having a shallow central keel. This protects both the lowered lee-boards and the propeller of a shaft-drive inboard engine. The keel also has encapsulated ballast to give righting stability to achieve an RCD category B offshore rating.

Is your boat a production boat? I enjoyed your review but have not been able to find the production model.
Hi Jack- Sad to say the Vision is not in production any longer. And 2nd-hand examples are rare. We have just sold Swift in fact. But the smaller 6m version is still made – and is commonly available 2nd-hand. It has leeboards too – an outboard engine – and the later models (called the Red Fox 200E) are surprisingly spacious and capable. Let me know if you would like contacts to look for these types. Hunter Yacht's 14hp Nanni option fitted to Swift is a significant upgrade on the 10hp Beta engine specified for the original Red Fox Visions. The Nanni has a calorifier fitted which gives hot water at the galley and toilet compartment sinks. This water is electrically pumped and is nicely warm after only about 45 mins engine running.
