Motoryacht mercury (previously known as malibu and kermit).

below deck biggest yacht

In the fourth spin off of Below Deck, the now infamous decided to spice things up a little. Instead of the usual Mediterranean or Caribbean routine, Below Deck went to the less explored (but extremely breathtaking) Norway.

For this new serie filled with adventure, Below Deck picked the motoryacht Mercury, ex Malibu and Kermit, to explore the Fjords Norway is famous for.

Mercury is a 50m motoryacht built by the dutch shipyard Amels, and designed by Terence Disdale.

She can accomodate up to 12 guests and 12 crew onboard. No doubt, that should be enough for this new exciting season.

Northern Sun: the yacht in Below Deck Down Under Season 2

northern sun below deck down under season 2

Below Deck Down Under season 2 explored the coasts around Cairns, the gateway to access the great barrier reef and the Whitsunday Islands.

And it’s hard to imagine a better yacht than the Northern Sun motoryacht to explore this iconic area. The Northern Sun is a 50.8m (now yacht) that used to be a vessel dedicated for ice exploration. The refit work took two years but was clearly worth it when we look at the result displayed in this second season of the Australian Spin off.

Although the Northern Sun is built by the Japanese Narasaki shipyard, it surely is a boat that fits Australian waters quite well and could delight anyone looking to explore the most rugged locations in style, whether they are polar or tropical.

Northern Sun is available for charter from $161,700 / week . Her latest asking price was $15,000,000 .

About below deck sailing yacht.

Capt. Glenn and his comeback team Daisy Kelliher, Gary King and Colin MacRae resume their responsibilities aboard Parsifal III, along with new, dynamic crew members, as they set sail in Sardinia, Italy.

Capt. Glenn realizes that his laid-back leadership style has allowed his crew to become too comfortable and starts taking charge of quality control in the interior department, much to Daisy's dismay. In the galley, Chef Ilesha's cooking impresses the guests, but her indecisiveness and co-dependency lead to time-management issues between courses, which causes her to self-destruct. On deck, strong personalities collide, and a power struggle results in a near mutiny, as Gary clashes with his new overconfident deckhand, Chase.

Two overlapping love triangles further complicate the dynamics on-board, and a shocking hookup puts Colin, Daisy and Gary’s friendship in jeopardy.

With a near collision, fire, crew rebellion, gruesome guest injury and two different potentially season-ending engine failures, this is the most captivating and unpredictable season yet of Below Deck Sailing Yacht.

Below Deck Sailing Yacht stars reflect on series as show’s future remains uncertain

Colin MacRae's Below Deck Sailing Yacht cast photo

Below Deck Sailing Yacht stars are looking back on their time on the show as Season 5 remains up in the air.

The hit sailing show became the second spin-off in the Below Deck franchise.

Captain Glenn, Daisy Kelliher, Colin MacRae, and Gary King turned the hit sailing show into a mega-hit, especially after Season 4, which saw a rift in the dream team.

Now, as Gary’s scandal seems to have plagued Below Deck Sailing Yacht Season 5, some of the stars are reflecting on their experience on the show.

It’s easy to see some cast members are missing the sailing show as much as the fans do.

Below Deck Sailing Yacht stars reflect on the series as the show’s future remains uncertain

Alli Dore from Below Deck Sailing Yacht Season 2 started the trip down memory lane with an Instagram post featuring several pictures of her castmates.

“How has it been three years since we filmed Below Deck Sailing Yacht? The funniest part is we spent half the season making out with each other and now we all hate each other 😂 Ok maybe not all, just most of us 🤭 Still one of the most fun experiences of my life and I wouldn’t change it for anything!,” she captioned the post that kicked off with a photo of her, Daisy and Dani Soares.

The comments section of Alli’s post had Daisy and Captain Glenn Shephard show up to respond to the epic season.

Alli, for her part, also added that Gary King wasn’t in any of the pictures, and that was simply an accident to set the record straight before the trolls started coming at her.

BDS stars comment on Alli's IG post

Meanwhile Below Deck Med Sailing Yacht Season 3 star Scarlett Bentley used IG Stories to share a cast photo reveal it was 2 years ago the finale aired.

“2 YEARS AGO TODAY SEASON FINALE HOW,” she wrote tagging Daisy, Colin, Gary, Captain Glenn, Barnaby Birkbeck, and Kelsie Goglia. Even though Ashley Marti was in the photo she was not tagged.

Gary and Colin both reshared the picture and messaged it to their Instagram Stories.

Has Below Deck Sailing Yacht been canceled?

The future of Below Deck Sailing Yacht has been all the buzz since Below Deck Med Season 9 hit Bravo airwaves before Season 5 of the sailing show.

Last summer, Gary was accused of sexual misconduct by a production team member. This came after photos of Gary filming Season 5 of Below Deck Sailing Yacht were leaked.

There’s speculation that the scandal has caused a delay in the sailing show airing.

Bravo confirmed that Below Deck Season 12 was coming but has been radio silent about Below Deck Sailing Yacht and Below Deck Down Under.

These trips down memory lane fan us wondering if the former stars of Below Deck Sailing Yacht know something we don’t. Hopefully, that is not the case because it’s seriously so freaking good.

In another Below Deck Sailing Yacht, news, as Monsters and Critics previously reported, Daisy revealed her sister Bonnie was nearly killed in a moped accident as she issued a serious warning to fans.

Below Deck Sailing Yacht is currently on hiatus on Bravo. Seasons 1-4 are streaming on Peacock.

Below Deck Med’s Best (And Worst) Boatmances

By Jennifer O'Brien

Ranking boatmances on Below Deck Med.

You get to know your crew members intimately when you’re trapped on a boat for six weeks, especially on Below Deck Med . As most of the yachties are young, hot, and field up, a few inevitably end up falling for one another. Whether it is a one-night stand or something more, there are some pretty interesting boatmances on Below Deck Mediterranean .

Jess and Rob (Worst)

During Below Deck Med Season 5, Rob Westergaard and Jess More were attached to each other’s hips right from the start. Jess had a bad case of the green-eyed monster that she couldn’t tame. So when Aesha Scott put her arm around Rob for a charter guest picture, all hell broke loose. The model became upset and started believing something was happening between Aesha and Rob. She distrusted Rob, especially when she found out he was texting an ex-girlfriend.

But Rob was emotionally invested in Jess. His lust for her impaired his performance on the job, and Jess also started to struggle. The two fought often and hard, which created a tense atmosphere for everyone. Even though they left the boat together to head off to Bali, they have since broken up.

Malia and Adam (Worst)

From the moment Malia White stepped onto the yacht she was considered one of the hottest deckhands by the men. Before Below Deck Med Season 2 started filming, Adam Glick revealed he and Malia had a physical relationship. However, what really happened remains sort of a mystery. As the season progressed it was clear Adam was envisioning a future with the now bosun. But Malia had her eye on another prize, Wes Walton .

Malia once told Bravo “I just think after getting to know Adam a little more, he’s quick to get invested into something. He falls, and he falls hard, and I didn’t realize that.” In the end, she ended up picking Wes. The duo dated for a few years but have since gone their separate ways.

Aesha and Jack (Best)

As Below Deck Med fans know, Aesha has found her one true love in her fiance, Scott Dobson . But before moving to Colorado and falling madly in love, she had a romance with Liverpool’s Jack Stirrup . The duo was perhaps the best romance in the series, as they always had smiles and kind words for one another. Jack was awkward but showed love for Aesha by planning a surprise date complete with champagne.

It was hard for viewers and their co-workers not to root for them. Even though they did try to date after the charter season ended, the two didn’t survive. It was reported that Jack left Aesha for his ex. But all that is in the past as Aesha plans her upcoming wedding.

Natalya and Storm (Worst)

Below Deck Mediterranean Season 7 gave us Storm Smith and Natalya Scudder . It wasn’t the healthiest relationship by a long shot, but it was highly entertaining on reality TV. Even though Storm helped Natalya escape the pressure of the seasons, the two were boiling pots of emotions. Storm seemed to want to make the relationship work, but Nat kept causing pointless fights, especially after drinking. Fans thought that Natalya was passively agreeing with Storm. So, thankfully, the two decided to leave the drama on the yacht and walk away from one another.

Tash and Dave (Worst)

Perhaps one of the worst Below Deck Med boatmances has had to be Natasha Webb and Dave White . Before embarking on Season 7, Tash and Dave had hooked up on their previous boat. But the chief stew wanted to keep it a secret from the crew. This move ate Dave up inside. The chef would lash out every time he had a drink. The relationship was beyond problematic as the crew was severely disrupted.

Their issues spilled over into service during a wine-pairing dinner, which was uncomfortable for everyone. Dave then called Tash every name under the sun and moved out of his shared bunk room with her.

Luka and Natalya and Jessika (Best)

Season 8’s Luka Brunton was a smokeshow. Upon boarding the yacht, Luka formed a very flirty relationship with Natalya. The two were cute. Both were good-looking, and they seemed mostly harmless. At the time, Nat was trying to figure out her open relationship with her boyfriend back on land. Eventually, Nat left the boat, and Luka turned his sights to Jessika Asai . The two ended up having a season-long boatmance, but it fizzled out. The connections just seemed like harmless flirting in the end.

Catch up with Below Deck Med , now streaming on Peacock.

20 Best Reality TV Shows Right Now

American idol winner abi carter's exciting career update suffers malfunction at the worst possible time, what happened to mitch silverstein after married at first sight season 15.

  • Chef Rachel Hargrove left the Below Deck franchise after conflicts and negative comments about Bravo.
  • Despite a strained relationship with Bravo, Rachel continues to work as a successful yacht chef.
  • Unlikely for Chef Rachel to return to Below Deck due to her current focus on her yachting career and strained relationship with the network.

Rachel Hargrove has moved on from the Below Deck franchise since season 10. She joined the reality yachting show during season 8 and was a cast member until season 10. During her tenure on the show, Chef Rachel was a fan-favorite crew member . She had a dry sense of humor that she showed off in her confessional interviews. Chef Rachel could be unhinged at times, but she always delivered great food for the charter guests. While she remained on the show for three seasons, it wouldn’t be long until her relationship with Bravo would turn sour .

Chef Rachel is no longer in good graces with the network, even though she’s regarded as one of the best Below Deck chefs . She made controversial decisions throughout her time on the show, including drinking on the job and creating dramatic exits. Chef Rachel was quite dramatic during her stint on Below Deck , but that’s her personality. Outside of reality TV, she’s still an incredibly successful chef , and she hasn’t let her animosity towards Bravo and the Below Deck franchise ruin the fate of her career.

Reality TV is more popular than ever. With so many to choose from, here are some of the best reality TV shows to stream or watch right now.

Chef Rachel Made Scathing Comments About Below Deck & Bravo

Chef rachel announced her departure before below deck season 10 aired.

Chef Rachel has spoken negatively about Below Deck and the Bravo network. During Below Deck season 8, she butted heads with Eddie Lucas after he called out her behavior when drinking. Rachel’s distaste for the franchise began after he brought up her alcohol consumption. She returned for Below Deck season 9 and revealed Rachel had a conflict with Southern Charm star Austen Kroll on X/Twitter in July 2022. In since-deleted posts shared with Sportskeeda , Chef Rachel called him a “ narcissistic tw*t. ” She then shared her text messages with a Bravo producer , asking her to take down the post.

“I am done with bravo and belowdeck!”

Instead of removing the original post about Austen, Chef Rachel retaliated and left it up. One day later, she announced she was parting ways with the network . She cited her departure for not wanting to be “ associated [sic] with organizations [she doesn’t] believe in .” Chef Rachel had already filmed Below Deck season 10 before her Twitter feud with Austen occurred in July 2022. After all the drama played out, the Below Deck audience got to enjoy the Chef for one more season when it started airing in November 2022.

Rachel Still Works As A Yacht Chef

Chef rachel is still working on yachts.

Even though she’s no longer on Below Deck , Chef Rachel has continued to work as a yacht chef . There’s no denying that she’s grown in popularity since appearing on Below Deck . However, her success after the show can be attributed to her success as a chef. On Instagram, Chef Rachel shares updates about her job working on superyachts.

Chef Rachel's Journey On Below Deck

Chef rachel had a good run on below deck.

Chef Rachel was on three seasons of Below Deck and made her mark on each season. During Below Deck season 8, she was condemned for her drinking by Eddie. She created one of the show’s most iconic moments when storming off the superyacht after being frustrated by the guests' preferences . While creating hectic moments in her day-to-day role as a chef, Rachel won over the Below Deck audience in her confessional interviews. Her sense of humor isn’t everyone’s cup of tea, but she still charmed fans.

By Below Deck season 9, Chef Rachel returned for another year with the franchise. As a returning yachtie, she settled into her role on the superyacht and delivered another successful season . She had more unhinged moments, including when she demanded a fully silent galley during a stressful moment but continued to win fans over. During Below Deck season 10, Captain Sandy Yawn replaced Captain Lee Rosbach , which created drama. The replacement captain put Rachel in the middle of her drama with Chief Stew Fraser Olender, though that was her most contentious moment in the season.

Will Chef Rachel Ever Return To Below Deck?

It’s unlikely that chef rachel will come back to the show.

Rachel likely won’t return to Below Deck . She has moved on from reality TV and is focusing on her career as a yachting chef. It would be nice if Chef Rachel could be on good terms with Bravo, but she’d have to apologize. Below Deck would benefit from her return to the franchise, but there is little to no chance of her returning to the show.

Chef Rachel has moved on from the Below Deck franchise. As one of the most beloved chefs of the franchise, it’s upsetting that she doesn’t have a great relationship with Bravo. However, Chef Rachel is still thriving as a superyacht chef and doesn’t need the show to have a successful career.

Below Deck seasons 1-11 are now available to stream on Peacock.

northern sun, below deck down under, superyacht

Inside the star yacht of Below Deck Down Under season two

Television network Bravo will begin airing season two of Below Deck Down Under on 17 July, a Below Deck spin-off which follows a yacht crew over an eight-week charter season in Australia. This instalment sees Captain Jason Chambers return at the helm, cruising guests around the warm, tropical waters and colourful cays of the near-uninhabited Whitsunday Islands. Making her debut down under is Northern Sun , a Japanese superyacht with an unexpected history. BOAT takes a look inside…

Delivered in 1976 under the name Hokko Maru (“Northern Light”), Northern Sun has lived a full and fascinating life. At 50.8 metres, she was the largest yacht built by Narasaki Shipbuilding at the time and worked as an ice-class research vessel, analysing marine life and ocean currents in the North Japan Sea. The transformation from ship to superyacht came in 2006 when she underwent a two-year refit, courtesy of her new owners.

Northern Sun has the hardy constitution of an explorer, marking a departure from the first season’s white boat Keri Lee III .

When her current owners undertook renovations, they were intent to elevate her to superyacht standards while still maintaining her distinctive look. Her old windlasses are still visible on the forward deck, the master cabin has retained its original camber and even the engine room looks exactly as it did when she was a research ship. "Looks" being the operative word, of course – she’s had several system upgrades since the 70s.

Interiors include natural materials such as narra and makore wood (commonly known as cherry mahogany). This dark wood furniture and wall panelling give Northern Sun her warm, traditional feel, while the cabins themselves are dotted with the owners’ collection of travel paraphernalia. It makes for an eclectic living space, with indoor sofa seating accented by authentic Persian rugs and the formal dining room and master suite fixed with guild-frame, 19th century oil paintings. Keep an eye out for one of the owners’ most coveted pieces, a 100-year-old ship’s clock which still rings out the two-hour, maritime work shift also known as "the dog watch".

Northern Sun’s main deck is dedicated entirely to entertainment, from the al fresco dining area to the main saloon with its piano and games table. Other leisure highlights include gym equipment, a dedicated library on the lower deck and an outdoor Jacuzzi, surrounded by sun pads and lounge beds. The owners’ addition of a forward seating area during her refit allows for versatile recreation, whether the mood calls for cocktail parties or quiet, waterside contemplation.

The superyacht naturally has impressive stowing capacity, with space for scuba-diving equipment, a waterski and a two-deck-high inflatable water slide. There are also two Laser sailboats, enabling nimbler exploration along Australia’s shallow bays and coral reefs.

The owners spent ten years cruising through Southeast Asia after Northern Sun was refitted. Using the superyacht as a base for adventures, they've scuba-dived in the Andaman Sea, kayaked in the mangrove swamps of Phang Nga Bay and explored some of Indonesia’s most remote fishing islands. In 2015, they decided to put Northern Sun on the charter market, where she quickly became one of the most popular yachts available in Thailand. Now, she’s made her way across the seas to become the breakout star of Below Deck Down Under .

Captain Jason will be joined by returning chief stew Aesha Scott, working alongside a brand-new crew.

Northern Sun is currently listed with Ocean Independence , with a weekly charter starting from $161,700 and an asking price of $15,000,000.

The 7 Biggest Below Deck Villains Of 2024, Ranked

  • The most interesting Below Deck cast members are often the villains, with some being more controversial and sneakier than others.
  • The crew members' drama behind the scenes is what makes Below Deck fun and realistic, showcasing different levels of villainy.
  • Captains like Sandy Yawn and Kerry Titheradge exhibit villainous traits in their management styles, leading to friction among crew members.

The Below Deck franchise has plenty of heroes, but the most interesting cast members are the best villains of 2024. While some crew members like Sunny Marquis or Aesha Scott are widely appreciated as likable characters, other cast members are more controversial. Bosun Ben Willoughby didn't do himself any favors on Below Deck season 11 , and Natalya Scudder was also a lowkey villain. However, some Below Deck villains are sneakier than they seem.

The fun in Below Deck lies in the realism of the crew members. Yachties come together for a charter season to deliver a great experience for guests while indulging in their drama behind the scenes. While everyone has their reasons for their behavior, some cast members are more villainous than others. Who will take the cake in 2024?

20 Best Reality TV Shows Right Now

Reality TV is more popular than ever. With so many to choose from, here are some of the best reality TV shows to stream or watch right now.

Captain Sandy Yawn

Below deck season 10 & below deck mediterranean seasons 2-present.

Captain Sandy Yawn has been at the helm on both Below Deck and Below Deck Mediterranean , but in recent seasons, she's become a bit of a villain. One example is her management style, which can be micromanaging or controlling. For instance, in some episodes, she has been seen closely monitoring the crew's work and questioning their decisions. She first gave off villain vibes during the fallout from Hannah Ferrier's firing due to Malia White's snitching.

Captain Sandy may sometimes exacerbate tensions or take sides without fully understanding the dynamics at play, leading to further friction among crew members. In dealing with the feud between Alissa Humber and Camille Lamb, she ultimately chose to fire Camille. Captain Sandy can also take on villain characteristics with difficult charter guests, not always prioritizing the well-being of her crew.

Captain Kerry Titheradge

Below deck season 11- present & below deck adventure season 1.

Captain Kerry Titheradge's true colors were shown in Below Deck season 11. Despite the admiration he garnered from both crew and guests, subtle hints throughout the season suggested a darker side to Captain Kerry's leadership. While he often presented himself as a fair and supportive captain, there were instances where his behavior raised eyebrows. Rather than allowing his crew the autonomy to learn from their mistakes, Captain Kerry would micromanage .

Captain Kerry had big shoes to fill on Below Deck , and while he did an admirable job, his managerial style began to unravel by the end of the season.

Moreover, behind-the-scenes accounts from crew members, particularly Bosun Ben, painted a different picture of Captain Kerry's demeanor. Ben's revelations regarding the Below Deck crew shed light on a side of the captain that viewers didn't get to see. According to Ben, Captain Kerry's interactions with production staff and crew members were less than courteous. Regarding his experience onboard the St. David, Ben commented, " There's too much that isn't seen. I'm at a crossroads as to whether the truth needs to be told ."

Iain Maclean

Below deck mediterranean season 9.

It's still early days in Below Deck Mediterranean season 9 , but Iain Mclean is shaping up to become a Below Deck franchise villain. The bosun endured a recent incident in which deckhand Nathan Gallagher and a guest drifted away while paddleboarding, exemplifying the incompetence that has plagued the crew. Despite their best efforts, they found themselves at the mercy of the powerful current, unable to make headway back to the yacht.

The mounting pressure and repeated errors have cast doubt on Iain's ability to fulfill his Bosun duties effectively. Speculation looms over Iain's future with Captain Sandy's crew , with Nathan admitting in a confessional, " We’re trying to row back to the yacht, but we’re actually going backwards because the current is so strong. So, yeah, we’re stuck at sea. I’m sh-tting myself. " If Iain can't straighten out his deck crew, he could become an even more prominent Below Deck villain.

Nick Tatlock

Below deck season 11.

Chef Nick Tatlock emerged as a divisive figure aboard the St. David in Below Deck season 11, primarily due to his treatment of fellow crew member Paris Field. Despite his last-minute inclusion in the crew, Chef Nick's behavior quickly became a point of contention , particularly in his interactions with Paris. His unprofessional conduct, such as refusing orders from Chief Stew Fraser Olender and exhibiting a dismissive attitude, created friction, making him a Below Deck villain.

Chef Nick's commentary about Paris' eating habits and body was completely inappropriate and largely went unchecked.

Furthermore, Chef Nick's inappropriate remarks towards Paris, which bordered on being sexually suggestive and made her visibly uncomfortable, demonstrated a lack of respect. His failure to integrate smoothly with the crew and adapt to the demands of the galley reflected poorly on his ability to uphold the standards expected onboard. While fellow villain Captain Kerry seemed to take his side, Chef Nick did not make a positive impression.

Fraser Olender

Below deck season 9-present.

Fraser is one of the most controversial Below Deck crew members, but he deserves a spot in the 2024 villains list. Fraser’s management style, notably highlighted in Below Deck seasons 10 and 11, reveals his struggle to handle interpersonal conflicts among his team. When faced with tensions between two stews, Camille and Alissa, Fraser fails to address the issue, leading to a confrontation in front of Captain Sandy. His inability to solve problems bled into season 11 when Fraser’s issues with managing crew members became more pronounced.

Despite his efforts to avoid a repeat of past conflicts, he created an environment where communication is strained, except with his right-hand woman, Xandi Olivier. His treatment of Barbie Pascual, a struggling stew, showcased his favoritism, which got especially bad after Cat Baugh left St. David. Moreover, Fraser’s micromanagement tendencies and disregard for Captain Kerry’s authority highlighted his arrogance. Unfortunately, Fraser will likely still return for Below Deck season 12 , as he was spotted filming alongside Captain Kerry.

Johnathan Shillingford

While Iain has exhibited some missteps, Chef Johnathan Shillingford will become the real villain of Below Deck Mediterranean season 9. He makes the perfect villain, given his self-centered attitude, disrespectful behavior, and snobbiness. Despite being part of the crew, Chef Jono prioritizes his own needs over the smooth operation of the charter, as seen when he refuses to assist Elena during a challenging night with demanding guests. His subsequent anger and derogatory remarks towards Elena, followed by a complaint to Captain Sandy, only exacerbated tensions within the crew.

Furthermore, Chef Jono's interactions with the crew, particularly Captain Sandy, reveal a toxic superiority complex with a condescending tone and a know-it-all attitude. Chef Jono's pattern of disrespectful behavior and refusal to contribute to the team set the stage for further conflict and drama throughout the season. It will be vital to keep an eye on Chef Jono's behavior throughout the season.

Barbie Pascual

Barbie's time on Below Deck season 11 was a roller-coaster ride, transforming her from a potential star to a polarizing villain. Initially, Barbie and Chief Stew Fraser had a promising rapport, but it soured quickly. Instead of respecting Fraser's authority, Barbie became confrontational when he offered guidance, showing disregard for his leadership. Her subsequent derogatory remarks behind his back further displayed her lack of respect for authority and teamwork.

Barbie's focus on her daddy's money clashed with the crew's dedication to their job and livelihood, alienating her further. Moreover, Barbie's dismissive treatment of deckhand Kyle Stillie post-hookup highlighted her callousness and lack of accountability, prioritizing her family's conservative values over Kyle's dedication to their relationship. Her dramatic exit from the yacht following the last charter cemented her villain status on Below Deck .

Below Deck Mediterranean season 9 airs Mondays at 9 p.m. ET on Bravo and streams the next day on Peacock.

Below Deck is a popular reality TV franchise that focuses on a group of crew members as they work on luxurious yachts and cater to their client's needs. By Katia Damborsky   28 April 2020

The biggest yacht yet and an all-female lead crew; here’s everything you need to know about the new Season 5 of Below Deck Mediterranean, which takes place around Spain’s Mallorca Island.

Filmed last year before the Coronavirus pandemic, Season 5 of Below Deck Mediterranean will be hitting our screens later this summer on Bravo TV.

A new trailer teases one of the most action-packed seasons in Below Deck history, with plenty of fiery scenes, demanding guests and drama between crew members as the yachties set course for Spain .

There's a new yacht on the scene too; the crew are saying goodbye to Sirocco and hello to a brand new superyacht never before seen on Below Deck.

This will be the largest yacht ever to star on Below Deck Mediterranean.

What is the name of Below Deck Mediterranean season 5 yacht?

the wellington below deck yacht

The yacht starring in Below Deck Mediterranean Spain is named The Wellington.

However, the Wellington is actually an alias, and the superyacht from season 5 Below Deck Med is actually the 185’ (56m) superyacht ‘The Wellesley’ .

Many Below Deck Yachts adopt aliases for the show. You can read our article, All Below Deck Yachts, Real Names and Cost to Rent for more information.

The Wellesley is the biggest yacht ever to star in Below Deck Mediterranean, and she has a fantastic selection of amenities and facilities to match her size.

Check out our Virtual Tour Inside Below Deck Yacht 'The Wellington' for a closer look.

The latest Below Deck Mediterranean yacht has a chic 1920’s theme and has her very own club lounge with a bespoke humidor.

All the en suites are finished in marble, and she has a huge amount of deck space where guests can soak up the sun.

She also features a large jacuzzi with spillpool features on the sundeck, where guests will love chilling out and enjoying the sights of Mallorca floating past.

The yacht was built by Dutch yard Oceanco in 1993, and features accommodation for up to 12 guests.

How much does it cost to charter The Wellington?

The cost to charter the Wellington (or the Wellesley) is from €220,000 (approximately $243,000) per week.

This does not include expenses such as all on-board food and beverages, fuel, docking fees and tax.

Meet the Below Deck Med season 5 crew

A new trailer for the hit reality TV show has been released, and season 5 sees a number of familiar faces in the mix, including Captain Sandra Yawn and Chief Stewardess Hannah Ferrier.

But there are some new crew members on the scene as well- and this season will be the first in Below Deck history to feature a female captain, female chief stew and female bosun.

An all-female lead

Alongside Hannah and Sandra Yawn, eagle-eyed viewers may spot another returning favorite: Malia White coming in as bosun.

Malia starred on season 2 of Below Deck Mediterranean, where she came in as deckhand and was promoted to lead deckhand midway through the season.

If the trailer of season 5 is anything to go by, she will have her work cut out for her in the upcoming series. “You’ve got a female bosun, a female captain, a female chief stew. Respect that.” She says in the trailer.

Who are the crew from Below Deck Mediterranean season 5?

  • Lara Flumiani as stewardess
  • Jessica More as stewardess
  • Peter Hunziker as deckhand
  • Alex Radcliffe as deckhand
