Beyoncé and Jay-Z Are Vacationing on This Megayacht That Costs Nearly $4 Million a Week to Rent

It's rumored that Jeff Bezos owns the massive yacht.

On Instagram , Beyoncé has been sharing photos from her family vacation on the impressive ship—which measures 417 feet long and likely cost more than $500 million to build, Bloomberg reports . It’s rumored that Jeff Bezos bought the yacht, but other sources say he’s not the owner.

Onboard, the ship can accommodate 25 guests in suites with clean-lined, contemporary decor, Boat International reports . There are 55 crew members, many of whom are dual-trained to be chefs, housekeepers, medics, dive instructors, hairdressers, and more. The ship has several decks—including a helipad on the roof—and the amenities feature a vast spa pool, cryosauna, gym, submarine, and water sports equipment (to name a few!). Oh, and the yacht is so big that it even has its own support yacht.

It’s unclear how long Beyoncé and Jay-Z plan on vacationing on the boat, but they’re out there living their best lives. Why attend a few crowded events when you can have a whole megayacht to yourself?

Power couple Beyoncé and Jay Z have been cruising the waters of the Mediterranean on board a $2.75 million-a-week superyacht.

The stars, who are estimated to be worth a combined $1.92 billion, celebrated Beyoncé’s 39th birthday aboard the incredible boat with their children, Blue Ivy, 8, and twins, Rumi and Sir, 3.

The Sun reports Beyonce and Jay-Z were spotted doting on their kids off the coast of Cavtat, Croatia.

They have been cruising around on the 106m long and 13m high luxurious yacht Lana for Beyoncé’s week-long birthday bonanza holiday.

Built by an Italian shipyard, Lana is one of the most impressive superyachts on the water.

Inside there are eight staterooms and one master suite, each with an ensuite and decorated in an individual colour scheme.

Lana also has plenty of entertainment to keep her VIP guests occupied during their stay.

There is a luxurious spa with treatment rooms to unwind and indulge, a well-equipped gym with professional trainers, a cinema room with an impressive audio system and an outdoor pool to savour sunny days.

The superyacht also has a unique Beach Club and two folding terraces, which offer all the state-of-the-art toys including jet skis, wakeboards, SEABOBs, waterskis, inflatable paddleboards and fishing equipment.

Lana can also host up to 34 crew to make sure the Knowles-Carter clan has their every need catered to.

The Crazy In Love hitmakers headed out on one of Lana’s speed boats during the seven-day jaunt in Croatia with their youngest two children.

The family protected themselves from coronavirus by wearing face masks when on dry land, with Beyoncé’s mask sporting a white-lined smile across it.

The break came after Beyoncé was recently spotted filming in the Hamptons and the release of her visual album, Black is King on Disney+.

The entertainer spoke about Black Is King in an interview with Good Morning America and revealed all the work that went into it.

She said: “It’s been a year in the making. I worked with a diverse group of very gifted directors, actors and creatives from all over the world to reimagine the story of The Lion King .

“The narrative story unfolds through music videos, fashion, dance, beautiful natural settings and raw, new talent.

“But it all started in my backyard. So, from my house to Johannesburg, to Ghana, to London, to Belgium, to the Grand Canyon. It was truly a journey to bring this film to life.”

It was Beyoncé’s first visual album since Lemonade in 2016, which topped many best albums list.

Beyonce and Jay-Z are exploring European waters with their family aboard a new superyacht, according to multiple reports in TMZ, Daily Mail, and Total Croatia News.

It's the largest and most expensive yacht the couple has ever chartered,  Forbes reported  based on information from  superyachtfan.com

While there are no official criteria to categorize a yacht as a superyacht, Bill Springer, Editor-in-Chief of the magazine Ocean Home, wrote for Forbes that "all superyachts are opulent enough to be equipped with an object that represents the epitome of luxury."

This particular superyacht, known as Lana, will be available for charter for about $2 million a week beginning in the spring.

This is more than the cost of a typical week-long superyacht rental, which can come to about $150,000, per CNBC. Kismet, the 312-foot superyacht that Beyonce and Jay-Z traveled on in 2018, costs about $1.3 million per week.

It features amenities like a gym, a spa, and a helicopter landing pad.

Clusters of couches and chairs are spread out on Lana's decks for groups to hang out.

The sun deck comes with a heated pool that's about nine yards long.

The same deck has a dining room that seats about 12 people.

Sculptures that decorate the yacht's interior mimic the flow of the ocean, according to the company website.

Lana holds 12 total guests per trip who can stay in one of the eight suites aboard the ship.

Seven of them are referred to as VIP guest rooms, and each room has its own color scheme.

The eighth room is a master suite.

This is the ship's beach club, which is an entertainment area with a waterfront.

In September 2021, Beyoncé and Jay-Z were seen in the Mediterranean on board the world's most expensive charter boat, Flying Fox.

When Jay-Z and Beyoncé travel on vacation—or anyplace else for that matter—people take note. And you might argue that when you vacation onboard the 450-foot-long, 67-foot-wide superyacht Flying Fox , which was built by Lürssen in Germany and costs over $4 million per week to charter, people notice just a little bit more.

However, superyachts that are significantly longer than a football field (such as Flying Fox and Jerry Jones' Bravo Eugina ) also receive a lot of attention.

On September 4, the famous artist celebrated her 40th birthday, which she had at the beginning of the month. Since then, it's been nonstop partying, with Beyonce and her equally renowned husband Jay-Z enjoying their holiday aboard the Flying Fox. "When are you returning home?" fans ask, while others complain that "Beyonce hasn't been letting us breathe recently," referring to the singer's numerous updates on social media.

And, as you can see in the first image, superyacht designer Espen Oeino has created an exquisite yacht exterior that, despite her vast size, appears sleek. The exterior's balance and proportion allow for a large deck area with a variety of alternatives for Jay-Z, Beyonce, and their friends to enjoy.

It's one thing to spend some vacation time on a luxurious boat, as most celebrities do, but it's quite another to go on a private cruise on what might be considered a floating resort. The Flying Fox pampers its guests with everything they could possibly want, from a massive pool, theater, and nightlife to a high-end spa center and two restaurants.

The Flying Fox was just commissioned two years ago, yet it is now regarded as the world's largest charter megayacht, with six decks.

No matter who owns the lavish yacht, it’s currently occupied by Beyoncé and Jay-Z, who have been traveling around Italy and France; they were spotted in Cannes earlier this week, where they were joined by Beyoncé’s mother, Tina Knowles, and dined at La Geurite, before heading to Portofino . Beyoncé has shared plenty of photos of the family’s European jaunt on her Instagram, including a snap where her youngest daughter, Rumi, makes a cameo.

The sprawling 67-foot-wide yacht does make for a rather picturesque Instagram aesthetic. The Flying Fox contains 10 bedroom suites, and can accommodate up to 25 guests as well as 55 crew members. The decor features lots of marble, limestone and cream leather, as well as rattan and coconut shell details, per Boat International .

The plush spa has oak paneling and heated limestone floors, and is equipped with a hammam, sauna and a massive pool, plus a cryosauna. There’s also a fancy gym, movie theater, a formal living room as well as a dining room with an aquarium. The owner’s suite has its own sitting room, beauty room and double dressing rooms, in addition to an ethanol fireplace.

There are no less than six decks, including a helipad perched on the very top. There’s also a DJ alcove, for whenever the guests might want to transform the aforementioned helipad into a dance floor.

Even though Beyoncé didn’t make an appearance at the Met Gala, she’s still making a true fashion statement with plenty of stylish vacation looks. And while she might not have stood on the red (well, beige) carpet, a $400 million yacht might be an even better backdrop than those famous Met steps.

Queen Bey isn't one to do things by halves, and that includes family holidays, as she and hubby Jay Z proved earlier this week when she packed up the fam bam for a lavish Amalfi Coast escape.

The duo were snapped stepping onboard a lavish super-yacht on the Italian coast with their young family in tow.

The music power couple, who collectively earned a reported $197 million (US$147 million) last year, have been living it up on the luscious Amalfi Coast in the $283 million charter yacht, dubbed Kismet.

Beyonce has even been sharing cute family photos to her Instagram, featuring Jay Z and daughter Blue Ivy, looking relaxed and donning their breezy, summer holiday best.

I'm sure you'd be relaxed and in good spirits too, if you were sailing from port to port in this extravagant vessel, which features its own beauty salon, indoor cinema and massage room.

Of course, the couple are splashing an eye-watering $1.9 million a week for the pleasure.

The yacht is owned by US self-made billionaire Shahid Khan, who also owns NFL team the Jacksonville Jaguars and Fulham FC.

The private multi-level boat, available to rent from luxury yacht charter company Moran Yacht & Ship, is 312-ft long and comes with a crew of 28 (well, someone has to steer the boat and give Bey her daily mani-pedis and massages).

The superstar has been spotted catching some rays in a swimsuit on the sunny deck, kitted out with plush lounges and armchairs.

The yacht's opulent interiors were created by the award-winning designer Reymond Langton, who reportedly took inspiration from Champagne and caviar.

The resort-chic exteriors are the handiwork of custom motor yacht designer Espen Oeino, also the naval architect behind some of the world's most famous superyachts.

The enormous boat features a full-sized outdoor pool and Jacuzzi, next to cushy sunbeds.

When you've had enough splashing around and working on your vacay tan, you can head inside to the bar area for a sunset spritzer.

The yacht can accommodate up to 12 guests — so Bey and her young family won't have to fight for a room here.

Rooms are individually decorated with unique prints, furnishings and artworks.

The boat's luxe massage relaxation room features warm tones and Oriental-leaning decor.

Just next door, guests can make good use of the whirl bath, shower and sauna (also emblazoned with art) plunge pool, and a separate steam room.

Beyoncé and Jay-Z didn’t grace us with their presence at the Met Gala this week, but we can’t blame them at all — they’ve been too busy living their best lives on a superyacht in the Mediterranean. The photos the couple has given us on Bey’s Instagram account leave no question that they are a part of the elite one-percent because this yacht is exquisite.

The Flying Fox is a $400-million private cruise ship that can be chartered out for $4 million per week, making this a vacation that only the mega-rich can afford. (See the photos here .) There are a lot of rumors that the boat is owned by Amazon founder Jeff Bezos, but that seems to be a questionable fact depending on who you talk to. And because this is no ordinary yacht, designer Mark Berryman came in to create gorgeous interiors filled with “bamboo, teak and oak,” according to Boat International.

Beyoncé and Jay-Z have a pick of 10 VIP suites, but it’s likely they chose the master stateroom, which comes well-equipped for any A-list celebrity. We are talking about a bedroom with his and her dressing areas, a hot tub, a salon with a wood fireplace and a private office in case either of them has business to tend to on their vacation . There’s also a staff of 54 crew members, who specialize in everything from sports (if you need a little exercise) to beauty specialists (in case a facial is in order).

And we can’t forget about the food! The Carters are dining in style this week with chefs who can cater to their every whim , which is probably a good idea since their three kids, Blue Ivy, 9, and twins Rumi and Sir, 4, are with them — picky eaters can be accommodated. The family can feast on a “Michelin-star restaurant” meal or keep it more casual on the bridge deck with food from the “Teppanyaki grill, rotisserie oven, BBQ or spit roast tandoori oven.” Whatever menu they decide, they are going to eat well on their vacation — and it certainly puts any commercial cruise any of us might take to shame. Next time, we want to travel with the Carters (only if they pay for it).

Beyonce and Jay-Z are doing their own version of "The Love Boat" -- sailing the high seas through Europe ... this after setting the music world on fire.

The couple was spotted Monday on a mega yacht -- a multi-level vessel that looks damn expensive -- where they were looking out onto the ocean blue ... or at least Bey was, snapping some pics with a digital camera.

Jay eventually was out there as well -- and he, too, was taking photos -- not too far from their kids, who were enjoying an onboard swim with nannies and staff in tow. When you're this rich and you're cruising on a boat this nice ... that's how ya do childcare.

Take a look at this thing in the wide shots ... it's like a floating palace on water.

Seems like the Carter-Knowles brood is enjoying these final days of summer ... but if we're being honest, they can kinda take a vacation like this anytime they want.

Their trip here is well-deserved. Bey's fresh off a major album drop -- her eighth solo project, "Renaissance" topped the charts and crushed in sales ... despite some early criticism of its dance tracks.

Firmly back on her throne ... Queen Bey apparently needs some R&R. Or, in this case, mega R&R.

They have been photographed by the paparazzi celebrating aboard the 213-ft Galactica Star yacht.

Because it might have been a gift, this yacht is one of the best, and has given the title of the world’s largest fast displacement yacht at the time of its launch in 2013.

It was titled the largest fast displacement because it has the ability to combine low resistance with high performance and fuel efficiency throughout the full speed range.

It can almost go with 30 knots while burning 30% less fuel than a craft of the same size.

Galactica Star yacht has been built by Heesen in the Netherlands and had its interior designed by London-based firm Bannenberg & Rowell.

It is not in vain called a superyacht, because it features lots of outdoor space, including a sundeck, a duplex beach club covering 25% of the main and lower decks, and a touch-and-go helipad on the foredeck.

Because we are here talking about one of the richest couples in the world , the yacht must have come with a helipad. Plus, it also has several World Superyacht Awards.

The yacht is kitted out with everything you could need at sea, catering especially for warmer climates where the guests can relax in the sun.

Beyonce and Jay Z can take up to 12 guests with them, and accommodate them in custom-built staterooms, including a full-beam master suite with private balcony and a VIP suite on the upper deck.

The Galactica Star, which is priced at an estimated US$70 million, is not on the books as a charter vessel, so some people say that Jay Z may have dropped big money to make it his.

No doubt he negotiated a good price, and by chartering it out when not in use he may even turn a profit.

Before Jay Z bought it, the yacht belonged to Nigerian energy business magnate Kola Aluko, but in September, he sold it to the couple.

Apparently you can also rent this yacht, if you have US$900,000/ week and must be a personal connection to Kola Aluko or someone famous.

The control room is state of the art, featuring large touch-screen displays that can be used to drive the yacht for over 4,500 nautical miles on a single tank of fuel.

At night, the ship becomes beautifully lit and is the perfect location for hosting parties.

The modern and forward-looking design includes a lot of glass, helping to keep the space airy and light.

Built in 2013 by the Heesen Shipyard, then called the Galactica Star, this yacht was the first to incorporate a new hull shape that was the work of Van Oossanen Naval Architects. Two years after that, the yacht found itself in the possession of Beyonce and Jay Zie, and now it has a new owner, a new look and design and can be rented. The original interior of the yacht, with relatively small volume, the work of British design firm Bannenberg & Rowel, has remained almost completely unchanged. Its general aesthetics are quite full, using polished steel, leather, Macassar ebony and a large amount of glass. A fair amount of daylight is pouring into the interior, but not every guest may like it.

As for the exterior, there is a 114-square-foot sun deck with two lodges and a perfectly equipped bar next to the large jacuzzi. Thanks to special screens that are painted with a transparent layer of color, you can enjoy your yacht even on the windiest days, without distraction. The yacht comes with 13 crew members who will take care of all your needs, while the large loggia at the rear transforms into a button helicopter at the touch of a button.

An air-conditioned beach club, swim platform and sea terrace will entertain all guests of this yacht, which can total 12. If you do not want to swim in the sea, there is a glass-bottomed pool on the main deck, as an attractive alternative. The only downside to this yacht is the small number of cabins – there are only six. As for the rental price, this yacht will cost you $434,000 a week, excluding taxes and other costs.

Jay-Z was born in Brooklyn, N.Y., and Beyoncé in Houston. But Exhibit A of their global entertainment dominance sits squarely in Southern California on the Malibu coast, a gleaming 40,000-square-foot concrete-and-glass mansion that the couple bought last year for $200 million, a record sum for a single-family home in California. Their combined net worth, according to Forbes, is estimated at more than $3 billion.

The power that hip-hop’s premier couple wields goes well beyond the symbolic. They have teamed up on some of the most storied collaborations of the last decade, traversing stadiums across North America, along with two shows in Paris, for the sometimes bumpy On the Run tour in 2014. Four years later, they ran it back with the more harmonious On the Run II, which grossed more than $250 million. In between, in 2016, they rented out the Louvre and outshone the “Mona Lisa” in the six-minute music video for “Apeshit,” in which Beyoncé shunned her signature vocal runs to instead rap bar-for-bar alongside her husband. (The family collaborations have extended to the couple’s children, with eldest child Blue Ivy Carter joining her mother on the 2023 Renaissance world tour.)

They have teamed up on some of the most storied collaborations of the last decade.

The last few years, though, have belonged to Beyoncé, who outpaced Jay-Z — and most of the recording industry — while touring behind the 2022 blockbuster “Renaissance” album and then releasing “Cowboy Carter,” another record-breaking album that saw the artist plant her flag firmly in country music terrain. The Renaissance tour, which was her highest-grossing (and the eighth highest of all time) included four late-summer stops at SoFi Stadium and a concert movie, which former Times reporter Marissa Evans called “a grandiose dare to anyone who tried to ask us to be less of ourselves.” Meanwhile, the “Renaissance” album continued to shake dance floors across the globe, while also earning Beyoncé, 42, a 32nd Grammy , making her the most decorated artist in the history of the awards show.

Even in an “off year,” Jay-Z, 54, still went where few others have gone. Last summer, the Brooklyn Public Library honored him with “The Book of HOV,” a multimedia exhibit showcasing unseen photos, archived artifacts and some of his original masters. Visitors didn’t even have to step inside the library to marvel at his greatness; some of his most timeless lyrics were stamped along the building’s towering exterior. It’s another reason why galaxy-brained entrepreneurs would line up to pay $500,000 for the chance to pick his mind over dinner — even if the man himself says it’d be a fool’s decision.

Jay Z & Beyonce Celebrate Her 32nd Birthday On Luxury Yacht in Italy

It has been widely reported in the press that Jay Z and Beyonce celebrated her 32nd birthday with family and friends on the brand new luxury yacht 'Galactic Star' in Italy this week.

The happy couple boarded the luxury yacht on Monday in Formentera, Spain and headed to the spectacular Italian coast around the volcanic island of Stromboli. The   motor yacht 'Galactica Star'  is the newest and largest Heesen ever built, at 65m this yacht features a unique 'fast displacement"  hull which offers the owner or charter guests the best of both worlds - a very fast yacht with large internal volume and comfort, together with being more more fuel efficient.

E-Online comments "Our yacht expert estimates the purchase price of the brand-new Galactica Star to have been around $50 million, noting that the boat isn't listed among charter companies as an acquirable rental, so Beyoncé and Jay-Z likely pulled some insider strings to gain access". They are correct M/Y Galactica Star is not officially listed for charter by any of the leading Yacht Charter Brokerage houses in the world, or it would be listed on this site, so how is this possible? 

Either they know the owners of the yacht and have been allowed to use the yacht for the week, or it is a private yacht which is available for select charters on a very limited basis. There are a few large iconic superyachts which are available to charter, but are never openly marketed, as such and these are only offered to a select few VIPS from the leading luxury yachting companies such as Edmiston, Fraser Yachts, Burgess and Camper & Nicholsons.

The music industry is on the verge of putting out a missing-person report for Beyoncé , Page Six hears.

With her once-blazing country album, “Cowboy Carter,” already going the way of the tumblin’ tumbleweed, biz vets say the superstar has inexplicably gone AWOL.

And insiders are muttering that it might be because she and husband Jay-Z are nervous about showing their faces during Diddy’s vast abuse scandal , lest they draw attention to their longtime friendship with the disgraced hip-hop mogul.

“This was supposed to be Beyoncé’s time, with her much-anticipated country album out [just] two months ago. And yet, she is nowhere to be seen. The album is slipping and Jay and B aren’t reveling in the spotlight,” said a shocked source.

“About a month before the [March 29] release, Jay-Z got up at the Grammys  and whined that Beyoncé had never won Album of the Year. But now what? Does he think she will win . . . for ‘Cowboy Carter’ with no promotion . . . no appearances and no wooing of the academy?”

The source added that while the stunning record — which includes tracks with Dolly Parton, Willie Nelson and Miley Cyrus — is far from a flop, “it’s definitely not the juggernaut everyone thought it would be.”

They added, “Something is going on. It came out with a bang. No. 1 everywhere. [Now] it and she have disappeared.”

There has been scuttlebutt in the biz that the golden couple of music are laying low with their pal Diddy under fire — his homes in LA and Miami were raided in March by the Department of Homeland Security in what appears to be a sex-trafficking investigation.

The “Blueprint” rapper and Diddy have been close for decades, though there is nothing to connect Jay or Beyoncé to the investigation or any misconduct.

Reps for Beyoncé didn’t get back to us.

Beyoncé and JAY-Z's 3 Kids: All About Blue Ivy, Sir and Rumi

Beyoncé and JAY-Z are one of Hollywood's most notoriously private couples, but they're even more hush-hush regarding their three children .

The couple, who tied the knot in 2008 after dating since 2000 , welcomed their first child, daughter Blue Ivy , in January 2012. In 2017, they were joined by twins Rumi and Sir .

In a rare appearance on an episode of Kevin Hart 's Hart to Heart series on Peacock, JAY-Z spoke candidly about how much he tries to prioritize taking time away from music to be with his three kids .

"Time is all you have," he said. "That's the only thing we control. It's how you spend your time. Every second that you spend, you're spending away from the development of these people that you brought here, that you love more than anything in the world. So what are you going to spend that time on? That changed practically everything for me."

Similarly, Beyoncé has also spoken about how "challenging" it can be to strike a balance between motherhood and her career .

"I think the most stressful thing for me is balancing work and life," the musician shared with Elle in 2019. "Making sure I am present for my kids — dropping Blue off at school, taking Rumi and Sir to their activities, making time for date nights with my husband, and being home in time to have dinner with my family — all while running a company can be challenging."

As the kids get older, they've been making more public appearances with their parents. JAY-Z brought Blue Ivy and Rumi to the 2024 Super Bowl with him, where they were spotted posing for photos on the field.

Blue Ivy , 12

The first-time parents welcomed their daughter Blue Ivy in New York City on Jan. 7, 2012. They formally introduced her to the world with a series of photos the following month.

The former Destiny's Child member first revealed her pregnancy on August 28, 2011, at the MTV VMAs in Los Angeles while cradling a bump on the red carpet. During her "Love on Top" performance, she told the audience, "I want you to stand up on your feet. I want you to feel the love that's growing inside me."

Blue has already started following in the footsteps of her musical parents. When she was only two days old, her vocals were featured on her father's song "Glory," which earned her the title of a Guinness World Record holder for being the youngest person to have a song appear on a Billboard chart.

In 2020, she was featured in her mother's song "Brown Skin Girl." Blue brought home a BET Her Award, NAACP Image Award and a Grammy Award for best music video for her feature. She is the second youngest individually credited winner of a Grammy Award.

Aside from her musical accomplishments , Blue has helped induct her dad into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, provided narration for a book and even assists with taking care of her younger siblings.

Blue is also taking notes on self-care from her busy mom. The "Formation" singer told Harper's Bazaar that Blue is already adopting her go-to rituals, saying, "One of my most satisfying moments as a mom is when I found Blue one day soaking in the bath with her eyes closed, using blends I created and taking time for herself to decompress and be at peace I have so much to share … and there's more to come soon!"

In October 2022, Blue joined her parents at the 2022 Wearable Art Gala in L.A. During the event, Blue bid over $80,000 on a pair of Lorraine Schwartz diamond earrings, which her grandmother and host of the event, Tina Knowles , was wearing that night. In a video, Blue was seen waving her paddle while wearing a blue dress. She was eventually outbid by the founder of Mielle Organics, Monique Rodriguez, and her husband Melvin, who bid $105,000 on the earrings.

After a four-year hiatus, Beyoncé returned to the stage for an epic performance in Dubai in January 2023. Blue made a special appearance during the hour-long set to sing a duet of "Brown Skin Girl." The mother-daughter duo were impeccably dressed for the performance — Blue in a red, sparkling ensemble and Beyoncé in a canary yellow corset-style gown.

Blue made another public appearance at the 2023 Super Bowl with her dad a few weeks later. The father-daughter duo were seen arriving in all-black outfits with graphic T-shirts and sunglasses. JAY-Z also served as the ultimate Instagram dad at the event, taking photos of Blue in the Eagles' end zone ahead of the game.

In May 2023, Blue Ivy stepped out for the opening night of her mom's Renaissance World Tour , which kicked off in Stockholm, Sweden. She was seen in an oversized black t-shirt, standing with her father. Later that month, Blue Ivy took the stage with her mom in Paris . She performed the dance choreography for two songs — "My Power" and "Black Parade."

"My beautiful first born 🙏🏾 I’m so proud and thankful to be your mama . You bring us so much joy, my sweet angel," Beyonce wrote on Instagram following the show.

Rumi and Sir, 7

Following an "extremely difficult" pregnancy , Beyoncé gave birth to daughter Rumi and son Sir in L.A. on June 13, 2017. Exactly one month after their birth, the couple made their first public appearance together since becoming parents to three. That same day, Beyoncé also revealed the names and the first photo of the twins.

"Rumi is our favorite poet, so it was for our daughter," JAY-Z explained in August 2017. "Sir was like, man, come out the gate. He carries himself like that. He just came out, like, Sir."

Beyoncé first announced she was expecting twins in a record-breaking Instagram post on Feb. 1, 2017. "We would like to share our love and happiness. We have been blessed two times over," she captioned a photo of herself cradling her growing baby bump .

In August 2021, the twins appeared in an ad for Beyoncé's IVY PARK x Adidas clothing line for kids. The singer shared that the inspiration for the children's line stemmed from wanting to match with her three kids.

"On our family vacations, we love to coordinate our outfits. My kids are usually on set with me for shoots, and we'd find ourselves putting them in extra-extra-smalls so we could match. So it is a natural progression for IVY PARK to introduce a selection of key silhouettes in children's sizing," she told Harper's Bazaar .

According to their grandma Tina, all three of Beyoncé and JAY-Z's children are already developing a strong sense of style, and even contributed to their mom's design line.

"Well, they are little fashionistas , and they have definite determination about what they like and what they don't like. When Beyoncé's doing the first samples, they get them, and some things they love, and some things you can tell are not their favorite," she told PEOPLE.

Tina also shared that on a trip to Disneyland, then-5-year-old Rumi defended her outfit choice when her older sister offered her opinion on it.

"We recently went to Disneyland, and she put on her Mickey Mouse shorts. Then she wanted to put on a sparkly printed top, which had the same colors. It actually looked really cute," she explained. "But her sister came in and Blue was like, 'My mom would be mad because she's doing too much.' And Rumi said, 'This is my style.' She's 5. I was impressed."

When Beyoncé released her country album, Cowboy Carter , in March 2024, Rumi made her music debut. At the beginning of the song "Protector," Rumi can be heard saying, " Mom, can I hear the lullaby please ?' As of April 2024, she holds the title of youngest woman to chart on the Billboard Hot 100 .
