Wider launched the first WiLder 60 earlier this year, but only now can we see the yacht in all its glory.
“She is everything we conceived her to be, and so much more,” Wider CEO Fabio Fraternale said in a statement. “She shows that performance yachts can still be luxurious; that 60-footers can still be built with a superyacht ethos; and that whatever a client imagines, we can make a reality.”
The layout of the first hull was tailored to the owner, with the main deck offering a spacious owner’s suite forward, two additional guest cabins aft, a salon with a designer galley, and a head for guests. The interior, executed by the in-house design team at Wider Centro Stile, evokes a luxury car cabin with high-end materials and high-quality craftsmanship. The decor combines oak flooring and cleverly integrated lighting with rich leathers, sleek marbles, and glossy lacquers.
“This is the epitome of the WiLder concept—bespoke interiors completed to the very highest superyacht standards of finish, combining Italian design flair with the ultimate craftsmanship,” adds chief of Wider Centro Stile Michele Lubrano Lobianco.
The first hull was launched from Wider’s Vision Hub in Fano this past February, but the next two bespoke examples will be built at Wider’s Superyacht Hub in Venice. Stay tuned to see what wild custom touches the owners add to hulls two and three.

The global authority in superyachting
The Superyacht Cup is back for its 28th edition in Palma from June 19 - 22. As Europe's longest-running regatta, this four-day event will see some of the world's most prestigious sailing yachts battling it out on the Mallorcan circuit.
Initiating the Mediterranean racing season, the event will welcome a diverse fleet of high-performance sailing yachts to the picturesque Bay of Palma. Rose , the defending champion and the first Wally to claim victory in last year's Cup, will return to defend her title. Meanwhile, joining the debutants include the brand new Calabash and many other race veterans making a comeback, like the iconic J class, Rainbow . The renowned Hoek Designs will also make their mark on the course with the duo Atlanta and Vijonera .
BOAT takes a closer look at this year's competitors, beginning with Maximus, the largest of the lineup…
Length: 59m Builder: Vitters Year: 2023
The ketch-rigged cruiser Maximus makes her debut this year and will be the largest yacht to attend since the 63-metre Athos in 2018. Renowned for high-performance designs, this third-largest Vitters build has German Frers to thank for design and naval architecture. Since delivery, Maximus has spent time in the Caribbean and competed in the St Barths Bucket . For upwind racing, the 80-tonne lifting keel draws 8 metres, reducing to 5 metres for manoeuvres. The twin carbon rudders aid in precision steering, keeping sailors on the best course.
Length: 50.6m Builder: Royal Huisman Year: 2002
Borkumriff IV will be attending the Cup without eyes on a trophy. The 50.6-metre two-masted schooner was built in collaboration with the Dutch yard Royal Huisman , to a design by Dykstra Naval Architects and John G Alden. The modern classic features Rondal aluminium plate masts over 50 meters tall and has Rondal carbon fibre booms and gaffs. Between the two deckhouses that outline her profile, there are two open cockpits; the aft one is for steering and sail management.
Length: 43.6m Builder: Vitters Year: 2017
Svea is the most recent addition to the J Class ranks and took her class win at the Cup in 2022. The 43.6-metre sailing yacht was initially penned by Swedish designer Tore Holm in 1937, and her resurrection began when Vitters and Hoek Design Naval Architecture acquired the original drawings. Integrating traditional long keel design with the modern build, Svea’s aluminium hull displaces just 182 tonnes and optimises weight with 80 per cent of the interior cabinetry utilising veneered foam cores. The 53.75-metre carbon fibre main mast will also help performance, with all eyes on her as she fights for another title.
Length: 39m Builder: Vitters Year: 2009
Having cruised extensively in recent years, the Bill Tripp -designed performance sloop Cervo (ex G2 ) is reclaiming her place among the racing elite. Another Vitters build, Cervo’s carbon composite construction keeps responsiveness up under sail. The 2018 refit at Pendennis created an open flush deck offering more cockpit space for the racing crew. Nauta Design reimagined the interiors of this pedigree superyacht, which also features atypical equal-sized staterooms. Her sailing power comes from the 48-metre carbon fibre mast by Southern Spars paired with a refined sail wardrobe from Doyle and a new in-boom furling mainsail.
Length: 39m Builder: Holland Jachtbouw Year: 2012
After a decade-long hiatus from racing, the 39-metre J Class yacht Rainbow is making her return at the Cup. A modern replica based on the legendary 1934 America’s Cup winner, Rainbow was penned by Dykstra Studios design. She was the first J fitted with hybrid propulsion and power systems. Since delivery in 2012, she has undergone an extensive refit in 2022, which includes a new deck layout and rig, new sails and winches and an engineering overhaul. Now representing the Royal New Zealand Yacht Squadron under her new round-the-world racing owner, Rainbow will be up alongside her seasoned J Class rivals Svea and Velsheda.
Length: 38.8m Builder: Classen Shipyard Year: 2015
The flagship of the Hoek-designed ‘Truly Classic’ range, the 38.8-metre Atalante built by Classen has enjoyed a long period of cruising and is now poised and ready to race again. Her classic lines, traditionally shaped twin deckhouses, and teak capping rails pay homage to the classics. Commissioned by an experienced sailor, she boasts plenty of race-ready features, such as a well-thought-out deck layout, 3Di North sails, carbon rigging and cable steering bolstered by a fully instrumented steering console set. She will compete for the first time against her sistership, Vijonara.
Length: 38.8m Builder: Pendennis Year: 2018
The 38.8-metre cutter-rigged sloop Vijonara was the second hull to emerge from Hoek Design’s ‘Truly Classic’ series. Built at Pendennis for owners with vast sailing knowledge, she boasts a bowsprit that houses a suite of downwind sails such as Code Sail and A-Symmetric Spinnaker. Vijonara came close to a win at this year’s St Barths Bucket, finishing second in her class. As a Superyacht Cup debutant, she will join other Hoek designs, such as Atalante , the first hull in the series, and Cervo .
Length: 25.1m Builder: Nautor Swan Year: 2013
Dark Horse (ex Chessie ) is making her first splash at the Cup. As a regatta regular Swan 80, she brings racing pedigree to Palma and will face competition with the slightly smaller Umiko, another yacht courtesy of the Finnish builder. The German Frers-designed yacht includes racing features such as a lightweight carbon hull and deck, high-modulus carbon spars, and a top-spec racing rig optimised for speed.
Length: 24m Builder: Wally Year: 2006
The 24-metre Wallycento Rose is back to defend her winning Cup title after becoming the first Wally yacht to claim victory. Rose was designed in collaboration with Wally and Mills Design for naval architecture and exterior design, while interiors were thanks to Pininfarina. Delivered in 2006, this flush-deck carbon sailing yacht boasts a 45-metre rig and a 3DL self-tacking jib for racing performance. The crew of 24 and an upwind sail plan of 640 square metres also helped facilitate her win last year.
Length: 24m Builder: Nautor Swan Year: 2000
Another of Nautor Swan's 80 series competing, Umiko i s making a welcome return to Palma after the last three years of participating. The ultra-fast yacht, which is one of the Superyacht Cup Palma's smaller entries, is a German Frers design. Since her launch in 2000, she has undergone various refits to keep her race-ready, including upgrades such as carbon rigging and new North 3Di sails.
Length: 38.5m Builder: Camper & Nicholsons Year: 1933
Last but by no means least is one of the regatta longest serving contenders, the 38.5-metre Velsheda. An icon among the J Class fleet, although not originally constructed for the America’s Cup like her contemporaries, she has made her mark on the regatta scene. Built by Camper & Nicholsons in 1933 from steel for W.L. Stephenson, the chairman of British retailer Woolworths, she was christened Velsheda after his three daughters Velma, Sheila and Daphne. In 1996, the yacht was purchased by Dutch fashion entrepreneur Ronald de Waal, who gave Southampton Yacht Services the job to rebuild her and restore her to racing status.

The Justice Department today filed a lawsuit against the owner and operators of a Fremont, Calif., apartment complex, alleging that they had discriminated against families with children in violation of the Fair Housing Act by prohibiting children from playing in the common grassy areas of the complex.
“Families with children should have the same ability to enjoy their homes as all other tenants,” said Jocelyn Samuels, Acting Assistant Attorney General for the Justice Department’s Civil Rights Division.
The lawsuit, filed in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California, alleges that the owners and rental staff of Woodland Garden Apartments, a 37 unit apartment complex, adopted and enforced a policy prohibiting children from playing outside in the common grassy areas of the complex. The complex is owned by Fred Martin and managed by Fatima Rivera, both of whom are named in the suit. Alfredo Rivera, a former maintenance worker who participated in enforcing the policy, is also named as a defendant in the suit.
This lawsuit arose as a result of complaints filed with the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) by five families with children who lived at Woodland Garden Apartments, and Project Sentinel, a non-profit organization based in Santa Clara, Calif., that promotes fair housing. After HUD investigated the complaints, it issued a charge of discrimination and the matter was referred to the Justice Department.
“Housing providers cannot impose more restrictive policies on families with children or evict them simply because their children leave the unit,” said Bryan Greene, HUD Acting Assistant Secretary for Fair Housing and Equal Opportunity. “HUD and DOJ are committed to enforcing the fair housing rights of all people, including families with children.”
The lawsuit seeks a court order prohibiting future discrimination by the defendant, monetary damages for those harmed by the defendant’s actions and a civil penalty.
The federal Fair Housing Act prohibits discrimination in housing on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, familial status, national origin and disability. Individuals who believe they may have been victims of housing discrimination may contact the Justice Department at 1-800-896-7743, e-mail the Justice Department at [email protected] ., or contact HUD at 1-800-669-9777 or through www.hud.gov/fairhousing .
The complaint is an allegation of unlawful conduct. The allegations must still be proven in federal court.

PITTSBURGH — A man is facing charges after allegedly stealing a yacht on the Allegheny River.
PHOTOS: Intoxicated man steals yacht on Allegheny River, police say
Pittsburgh River Rescue responded to the scene just before 8 a.m. Friday.
An intoxicated man, who police have identified as Michael Fischer, broke into the Lock Wall Marina off 23rd Street in the Strip District, Pittsburgh police said.
Channel 11 spoke to the owner of the yacht.
“Oh my gosh, every single thing was torn out. The cabinets and everything. We were crunching on potato chips and cheese puffs. It was like a giant party had gone on. The liquor cabinet was empty the liquor was everywhere. Bottles everywhere,” Michael Jennison told Channel 11.
Jennison believes multiple people were onboard his boat.
“Somehow they got onto the boat. They must have tried to start the engines because they have my diesel engine book opened on the bed, like trying to figure out how to start the engines,” he said.
Fischer apparently couldn’t figure it out. So, police say he untied the yacht, and let it drift a mile down the Allegheny River until it crashed into the river wall and nearly hit the River Rescue building.
“Thank God nobody got hurt. No damage was done. It went underneath four bridges, so thank goodness no damage was done over there. No lives were taken,” the boat captain, Adam Kernohan told Channel 11.
When police went onto the yacht, officers found Fischer relaxing in a chair.
“He was sitting right there. Laying back. Passed out, pistachio nuts everywhere, a bottle of rum mostly all drunk, just a little left in the bottom,” Jennison added.
When Fischer was in police custody, officers say he told them, “I took the boat. I wanted to meet some Pittsburgh Pirates.”
Fischer is facing felony charges.

Four seasons yachts announces upcoming launch and 23 itineraries.
Four Seasons 1, the all suite yacht due to launch in 2026.
Travelers accustomed to Four Seasons style in design and service will have a chance to experience both at sea when Four Seasons Yachts sets sail in 2026. Earlier this year, the company announced its first 10 itineraries; earlier this week, it announced 13 more. All offer the land option of pre or post trips at the company’s resorts.
As Timothy Littley, VP of Itinerary and Planning at Marc-Henry Cruise Holdings LTD and co-owner/operator of Four Seasons Yachts explains, his intention was to design experiences that resonate deeply and truly express the spirit of adventure and discovery. "In our debut year, we're set to explore over 130 distinct destinations across more than 33 countries and territories,” he says. “My professional journey, alongside years of personal exploration, has been dedicated to understanding the nuances of these locales—their culture, their people, and the unique experiences they offer—to ensure we curate something truly extraordinary for our guests.”
The living room of the Loft Suite.
The first sailings are set for January,2026 heading to Croatia, Gibraltar, Montenegro, Italy, Portugal, Spain, and Türkiye. The Mediterranean itinerary will also highlight Greek islands with stops in Athens, Ios, Santorini and Milos but not always in the usual way: arriving in the tourist favorite island of Santorini, for example, at 5 PM when the other cruise ships are leaving, allowing passengers to enjoy a less crowded island in the evening. Under the radar but islands also worth visiting such as Hydra and Naxos are also included. Caribbean sailings are also among the first itineraries traveling to Saint Barthélemy (St Barths), Nevis, the Grenadines, St Lucia, Barbados, Martinique, Guadeloupe, Curaçao and Aruba. While there, passengers disembark to experience the nightlife of St Barths, Martinique’s volcanic coral reefs and lush rainforest landscapes and a sail in St Lucia’s Tobago Cays among other experiences.

Among the itineraries announced this week are five-, seven- and nine-night voyages that include legendary ports of call such as Saint-Tropez, Cannes, Monte Carlo, Capri, Positano, Taormina, Palma de Mallorca and Valencia plus lesser-known gems including Italy’s Portovenere, France’s Fréjus and Mandelieu-la-Napoule, Spain’s Ciutadella de Menorca and Malta’s Gozo. Offshore activities to truly experience the destination are being selected ranging from exploring the esteemed rosé vineyards in Bandol, France to truffle hunting in Viareggio, Italy.
The four level Funnel Suite.
The yacht, Four Seasons 1, is being constructed by renowned Italian shipbuilder Fincantieri in Ancona, Italy and will contain 95 suites with modular walls that will allow 100 different connection options including reserving one side of a deck for a large family or group of friends traveling together. The largest accommodations are seven signature suites ranging from 2,981 to 9,975 square feet of indoor and outdoor living space offering two to three bedrooms, separate living rooms, indoor and outdoor dining space, splash pools, outdoor showers, and the option to connect to additional suites. The largest, the 9,975 square foot Funnel Suite, includes four levels of living space and floor to ceiling wraparound windows. All feature a design described by Fredrik Johannson, partner and executive director of Tillberg Design of Sweden as welcoming in the same way that the group’s resorts are but unique to the yacht. “It had to have this incredibly elegant aura to it without being over-the-top opulent,” he says. “To this end, we strove for a beautiful simplicity with the interiors.”
Elsewhere on the yacht are 11 dining options, spa and wellness offerings and a 65 foot long stern pool. Taking care of all are staff members on a 1:1 guest to staff ratio, along the lines of what Four Seasons regulars experience on land. And there will be at least 41 opportunities to experience it; that number of sailings at this point is planned for the first year; more may be added.

The musician, who has two children with kylie jenner and is about to start his european tour, paid a $650 fine after an early morning dispute on a dock. when the police arrived, he told them: ‘it’s miami’.
Rapper Travis Scott, who is more known for his on-again-off-again relationship with Kylie Jenner — the youngest of the Kardashian sisters, with whom he has two children — was arrested early Thursday morning in Miami, Florida. The 33-year-old Texan musician was charged by police with two charges: trespassing property (a yacht, in this case) and disorderly intoxication.
The rapper was reported to be drunk, but it is not known whether he had also consumed drugs. Florida law prohibits appearing drunk or on illicit substances; consuming alcoholic beverages in public places or on public transportation; and causing a disturbance. In addition to the arrest, Scott was fined $150 for disorderly intoxication and $500 for trespassing. As read in the official documents of the case, the musician told the police officers: “It’s Miami.”
The incident took place at the Miami Beach Marina, a port south of the city’s beach area, just before 2 a.m. Authorities were alerted to an incident on a yacht, which appeared to be a fight. When they arrived, according to an affidavit obtained by People magazine , Scott was “yelling at the vessel occupants.” Close sources told media outlets such as Page Six that “there was no physical altercation”; he screamed and the yacht owners (whose identity is unknown) wanted to throw him off the boat.
“Officers made contact with [Scott] to conduct an investigation,” the affidavit reads. “The defendant was asked by officers to sit down, at which point [he] temporarily sat down and then began continuously standing back up, disregarding officers’ commands. Throughout the interaction, officers on scene could sense a strong smell of alcohol coming from the defendants’ breath.”
The owners of the yacht did not want to press charges, they only asked the rapper to get off the boat, and leave the dock. The police also asked him to leave. But according to the affidavit, during the walk from the vessel to the boardwalk, Scott walked backwards and yelled “obscenities” to the occupants of the yacht. In fact, Scott returned just five minutes later, ignoring both the police and owners’ calls for him to leave. “[Scott] began yelling once again, becoming erratic, disturbing the peace of the occupants of the marina and nearby residential buildings, causing a public disturbance.” It is at this point that police decide to arrest him and take him back to the station.
Jacques Bermon Webster II — the artist’s real name — was taken to the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center at 4:35 a.m. No further charges or investigation are expected as the fine has been paid. The performer is about to start an ambitious tour called Circus Maximus that will take him to around 20 European cities. The tour, which begins on June 28, will present his latest album, Utopia , which has been very well received. For the moment, it is not likely that the arrest will affect the concert dates.
The rapper, who has been nominated for a Grammy 10 times, is known for his erratic behavior, with many even calling him megalomaniac. For his upcoming tour, he wanted to perform in the Pyramids of Giza, but Egypt did not support the plan, arguing that the “strange rituals” that the rapper allegedly performs during his live performances go against “Egyptian and Arab customs and traditions.”
The rapper’s most tragic concert took place November 2021, when an avalanche killed 10 people and injured dozens more during his performance at the Astroworld festival in Houston (Texas). After the tragedy, Scott said in a statement that he was “absolutely devastated” and promised to cover the funeral expenses of the victims. Scott’s shows are known for being chaotic and disorderly, and in this case, it got out of hand. Security forces, who had a 56-page plan (and 20 ambulances at the gate, although more than 60 were needed) were unable to deal with what happened to the 50,000 attendees. Nearly 60 lawsuits were filed. Scott did not face criminal charges, but remains implicated in the civil cases because of poor organization of the event.
