Launched in 2001, the 145-foot (43.28m) RELENTLESS completed her latest refit in 2019 returning her to as new luxury and comfort without losing any of the classic lines that make her so special. Cruising in the Caribbean, she is brilliantly equipped for family fun, vacations with friends or an intimate charter for two.

Classic Interiors

RELENTLESS’s George Paturzo interiors are a gorgeous work of traditional design. The elegant foyer and grand staircase set the scene with beautiful mahogany paneling and art deco-inspired touches. The main salon is elegant with stylish but comfortable sofas and a marble-topped bar lit with natural light from the large picture windows and glass doors. The lounge area flows seamlessly through to the beautiful dining room with lavish cream upholstery, gold leaf inserts, Murano crystal fixtures and seating for eight. Upstairs, the vast sky lounge is a real show stopper with a traditional wooden desk, a marble-topped bar, coffered ceilings and custom upholstered tapestry sofas. State-of-the-art entertainment and incredible views make this the place for entertaining well into the night.

Beautiful Staterooms

RELENTLESS features five opulent staterooms for up to 10 guests lavishly decorated with rich mahogany and with intricate use of Royal Oyster marble in the stunning en-suite bathrooms. The main deck master stateroom takes up the full width of the yacht to create a luxurious private retreat. A private sitting area and a massive his and hers bathroom with a Jacuzzi tub are found in this space. Four additional staterooms are situated on the lower deck and include two generous king staterooms, two queens and a twin cabin all with large closets for storage and gorgeous en-suite bathrooms.

The exterior spaces on RELENTLESS have been designed for entertaining and socializing. There are stunning set-ups for alfresco dining both on the main deck for more formal occasions and on the upper deck, there is a table for 10 and a lounge area for casual lunches and dinners in the cooling breezes. The sundeck is a great place for socializing while topping up your tan. There is a large Jacuzzi for relaxing, wrap-around sun loungers and a U-shaped bar for cocktails with a view.

Packed with toys such as WaveRunners, wakeboards and a plethora of inflatables and a Bost Whaler tender tow them, RELENTLESS provides endless opportunities for fun and exploration. A General Description of Motor Yacht RELENTLESS

This motor yacht RELENTLESS is a 44 m 145 (foot) spacious aluminium ship which was made at Trinity Yachts and designed by Trinity Yachts. Accommodating 10 passengers and 8 crew members, motor yacht RELENTLESS was previously called Victory Lane; Mia Elise. The naval architecture office responsible for her design work in respect of this ship is Trinity Yachts. Moreover, her interior styling was created by Dee Robinson/Carolyn Sabates.

The New Build & Design of Luxury Yacht RELENTLESS

Trinity Yachts was the naval architect firm involved in the professional nautical plans for RELENTLESS. Her interior design was realised by Dee Robinson/Carolyn Sabates. Trinity Yachts is also associated with the yacht general design work for this yacht. the United States is the country that Trinity Yachts built their new build motor yacht in. After the formal launch in 2001 in New Orleans LA the boat was afterwards delivered on to the happy owner after sea trials and testing. Her hull was crafted from aluminium. The motor yacht superstructure is fabricated for the most part with aluminium. With a width of 8.23 m or 27 ft RELENTLESS has fairly large size. A shallow draught of 2m (6.4ft) affects the number of certain marinas she can enter, taking into account their minimum depth. She had refit improvement and alteration work carried out by 2008.

Fitted with twin MTU diesel engines, RELENTLESS can reach a high speed of 19 knots. Coupled to the RELENTLESS engines are twin screw propellers. Previously named Mia Elise, her luxurious interior is designed by Dee Robinson Interiors and her exterior styling is by Trinity Yachts.

Relentless’s interior layout sleeps up to 10 guests in 5 rooms, including a master suite, 3 double cabins and 1 twin cabin. Anthony Van-Willes

Tony grew up on a small island outside of Nadi, Fiji. It was there that he developed a lifelong love for the water. An avid fisherman and spear diver, Tony began working on a game fishing boat in Fiji at sixteen. He moved to mega yachts in 1999 and has travelled throughout the world. He was 2nd Officer on Motor Yacht Helios, Bosun on Motor Yacht Lazy Z, and Jet boat driver at Shot-Over Jet Fiji for five years and was in the hospitality industry for 10 years. Tony was captain on board the 63m motor yacht SuRi before joining Relentless in 2014. He has over 20 years of experience as a dive master and has an MCA 3000 ton Master Certificate. He enjoys spear diving, water skiing, wake boarding, scuba diving, paddle boarding, fishing, and motor cross.

Joe Banimole

Joe is friendly, kind natured and out-going. He enjoys being on the sea and in the great outdoors. He is reliable, hard working and trustworthy, loves a challenge and takes full responsibility for his role on board. Joe’s interests include, snorkelling, scuba diving, fishing and other watersports. He also has a great passion for photography, especially underwater photograph. Joe is always interested in learning new skills and always up for a challenge.

Anthony Gradiska

Anthony has been working in the hospitality industry for 16 years both in front of house and for the last 12 years as a chef. He has worked in some of New Zealand and Australia’s best restaurants, upmarket bistros and large seasonal bar and restaurant operations. He has owned and operated his own restaurant in the Coromandel of New Zealand and is more than capable of producing consistently exceptional dishes under all circumstances. He is well-versed in all areas of the kitchen from butchery and pastry to costing and staff management. His kiwi ingenuity and experience has taught him the skill of creating dishes even when in remote locations with limited ingredients available.

Amanda Marshall

Originally from London, England. Amanda has always had a passion for the Sea, spending a vast amount of her childhood travelling on family boats. Amanda has spent four years in the hospitality industry, as a waitress, bar tender and function attendant. In 2014 Amanda decided to combine her love for the Ocean and her customer service flare by entering the Super Yacht industry on New Zealand based M/V TheClubhouse and instantly discovered a great devotion for the industry. As our youngest and newest Relentless crew member, Amanda brings a lot of ambition and dedication to her work. Outside of work, Amanda is a keen diver and swimmer, with an eagerness for new travel and adventure

Toni Marie Compain

Previous to starting on M.Y Relentless, I did one charter on M.Y Suri while they were in Fiji and worked as a cook/stew part time on a small sailing yacht in Fiji. I joined Relentless in June 2014. I have done a stewardess training course with Blue Nation and will be doing my STCW here in New Zealand next week. I love the outdoors, new challenges and travelling.

Captain - Magnus Wittersø Captain Magnus hails from the frigid fjords of Norway with several captains in his blood line. He spent his entire childhood regatta racing, teaching sailing and working for the King in the Norwegian Navy before he felt himself being drawn to far more tropical latitudes. Now, thawed out, and after several years of cruising on his private sailboat, multiple ocean crossings and chartering the most stunning waters and island groups in the world, he can guarantee a fantastic experience with well thought out itineraries and adventures. Chef - Katie Saunders Chef Saunders is a small town girl with big world experience and is excited to bring her knowledge of food and fine dining to your vacation! With background in catering, resort event planning, cafes, and organic eateries. Katie has always had a passion for cooking and entertaining. Her career brought her to the sunny island of St Thomas, where she fell in love with the simple, sweet way of island life. Soon after, the opportunity to cook on the water presented itself and she dove into the world of yachting. Built in 2022, Relentless II celebrates the ocean in style, offering relaxed luxury with her abundance of deck space and grants access to the world's most beautiful, hard-to-reach anchorages thanks to her shallow draft.

Relentless II offers guest accommodation for up to 8 guests in 4 suites comprising a master suite, two double cabins and one twin cabin. There are 5 beds in total, including 3 doubles and 2 singles. She is also capable of carrying up to 4 crew onboard to ensure a relaxed luxury yacht charter experience.

Nicholas Kristof Could Not Be More Wrong About the West Coast

Oregon, be glad this guy isn't your governor.

What Nicholas Kristof's recent article, "What Have We Liberals Done to the West Coast?," makes too apparent is that Oregon must thank the stars (its supreme court ) for disqualifying Kristof from the state's 2022 race for governor. This man is not a part of the solution. He really is at the heart of that state's problems, which stem from the perpetuation of a social structure with distributional commitments that are far from rational or, put another way, optimal.     

Oregon, in this regard, is in the same boat as California, Washington, and, with some minor modifications, British Columbia. This is the Left Coast. A region whose cities, until very recently, pushed for social policies that defied what people like Kristof characterized as commonsense. Their conventional feeling of a political middle (not too far right, not too far left), however, is no longer in the center-right (there is only a right now); it's entirely in a center-left that counts progressives and socialists as its neighbors. Kristof is on the right of the center-left. The same goes for a good chunk of Seattle's current city council. And how does this group hope to fix the West Coast? Reestablishing the Reagan-era policies that, precisely, proved to be a distributional disaster for most Americans.

"What Have We Liberals Done to the West Coast?" begins with what its author imagines to be the core centrist question: "Why put liberals in charge nationally when the places where they have greatest control are plagued by homelessness, crime and dysfunction?" Kristof admits that blue states do perform better than red states when it comes to not inconsequential things such as "life expectancy," "child poverty," and "education." The problem, therefore, mostly has to do with blue states in the West. This region of America is, according to Kristof, a total disaster: too many homeless people, weak mental health services, and high crime (Portland's homicide rate dusts New York City's). Why has the West Coast become so ungovernable? On top of reading too much Ibram X. Kendi , and lacking Republicans to counterbalance leftist power, Kristof argues that West Coast's progressives are indifferent "to the laws of economics."

After describing all of the bad things happening to everyone on the West Coast, Kristof opens the curtains with this sentence: "What matters is improving opportunities and quality of life, and the best path to do that is a relentless empiricism — which clashes with the West Coast’s indifference to the laws of economics." Our columnist is clearly under the impression that economics is as natural as a tree or a cloud in the sky. Such a view can only conclude that distributional issues are best settled if they are left alone. Interventionism, particularly the aggressive kind promoted by progressives and socialists, can only make matters worse.

Kristof writes:

The basic reason for homelessness on the West Coast is an enormous shortage of housing that drives up rents. California lacks about three million housing units, in part because it’s difficult to get permission to build.

He then rejects social housing because the government is not as efficient as the market. This is not, of course, economics in the scientific (meaning natural) sense imagined by mainstream media and academia. It is just plain old Reaganomics. Big government is bad and wasteful. The market is quick and resourceful. That sort of claptrap. But if economics is to live up to its name (the rational management of wealth), then it first has to delink its program from a form of growth that knows no limit. As long as the two are connected, we will continue to confuse it with things like balanced budgets, welfare cuts, and unregulated markets. We will also continue to define economic success as a growth rate that's 2% or higher. One percent (or, god forbid, negative) growth is a disaster. The public must fear a recession more than death. This dreadful feeling makes sense because it's very much like unlimited growth. Both are metaphysical.     

The West Coast, however, is far from poor or anything resembling a recession. The five largest corporations " by market capitalization, " for example, call this region home: Microsoft, Apple, Nvidia, Google, and Amazon. Their combined financial value surpasses the combined GDP of Germany, Japan, and Great Britain. And so, if there's poverty here, it can't be attributed to a lack of capital. It is instead structural. Or owes its realization to a configuration space whose compossibles make the physical productions of poverty (homelessness, underfunded schools, crime) possible.

Note: I use, in my system, configuration space in a sense considerably altered from its source, physics;  and compossible in a sense borrowed without alteration from the German rationalist philosopher Leibniz . The former (which the economist Joan Robinson called, in her post-Keynesian system, " the rules of the game "), defines the virtuality that pre-shapes reality; the latter, the movement from the virtual to the real. In short, my system describes the virtual (a space shaped by culturally determined laws and policies) as equal with (if not more important than) what results from its shaping: low wages, billionaires, life expectancy drops. Some call this virtual/compossible process social engineering. 

On top of all this, many of the cities on the West Coast experienced a construction boom in the years before the lockdown. The market was given pretty much free rein but it spectacularly failed (and didn't care) to meet the huge demand for affordable housing. Almost all that went up were luxury apartment buildings, some of which are now empty or incomplete . But, of course, common sense does not register overproduction or compound growth as wasteful.

There is a bus stop next to the intersection of Yesler Way and 23rd Avenue that tells the whole story. Behind this place of waiting is Douglass-Truth Library. But that's not what I want to point out. What's of significance is, one, Metro's real-time sign at the bus stop, and, two, the intersection's stop lights. Though both are operated by the government, the lights work, and the sign is dead—and probably has been so for more than six months . How are we to explain this sorry state of affairs? By configuration space and compossiblity.

The virtual that makes the automobile experience possible is far richer, in terms of compossibles (related or linked or corresponding possibilities), than that which results in the experience of public transportation. The dearth of the latter means many of its productions are stillborn or die prematurely. A richness in compossibles presents a force in the transition to reality that's politically hard to overwhelm. But progressive programs (such as public transportation) are doomed to enter a hostile reality with little to no force. And so when they visibly struggle (or in the case of the real-time sign, totally fail), they, rather than their conditions of presentation, are blamed. This is nothing but the bottom of Kristof's reading of the Left Coast. Oregon must thank its lucky stars.
