In winter, the temperatures can be in the 40s, making it too cold to enjoy the beaches properly. Spring and Fall are usually warm enough to enjoy outdoor activities and beach time.

To fish in Galveston, you will need a Texas state fishing license for either saltwater or freshwater, depending on the type of fishing you will be doing. You can purchase them in Galveston at Walmart, or if you pay entry to Galveston State Park, a fishing license is included in that $5 entry fee, with a limit of 2 poles per person.

We suggest that customers bring drinks, lunch, snacks, sunscreen, fishing clothes, hats, boat shoes, beach and hand towels, sunglasses, and zip lock bags if you want to take fillets back with you.

Everything you need for saltwater fishing . Rod, reels, bait, tackle, ice, and fishing license . Fish cleaning and great service with a great attitude.

The crew work for a daily wage and tips just like waiters and waitresses. Tips are discretionary; however, it is customary to tip the crew 20% for good service.

The price listed on our pricing page is for your entire group. You can have up to 6 people in your group. This is a private charter, therefore we do not group you with other people. It will only be your group on the boat with the captain and our crew.

In Texas, anyone 17 years of age or older must have a valid fishing license in order to legally fish in public waters. There are different types of licenses available depending on the type of fish being targeted and where they will be fishing. Knowing the regulations and obtaining the correct license can help ensure that anglers have an enjoyable and safe outing on Texas’ waterways. You can purchase a license at Wal-mart or Academy or online at www.tpwd.texas.gov. If you are a “Rider” on our charter and you are not fishing, this does not apply.

All you need is a date you want to go, then either pay online at our website or call our offices with a credit card to hold the reservation. By calling the office they will place a hold on the credit card for the fishing charter , you can change the payment method at the time of the charter.

The answer is most of the time, yes. Since we fish every day and if the ocean conditions allow us to go, we usually know where to find the fish. We typically travel between 8 and 15 miles to the fishing grounds on half days. This means that riding time will be between 45 min and an hour depending on how far we go. Most half days will enjoy about 3 hours of fishing time.

We guarantee that we will try very hard, but fishing is fishing and we cannot control all the factors that the ocean provides. With that said, our Captains are very good and usually, if they aren’t catching fish, no one is. We strive to be completely honest with our customers. We truly want everyone to have a great experience and promise to always strive to provide that!

Because of the work, and costs, involved in the preparation of a charter, there are bound to be penalties applied should you need to cancel your charter.

• Free cancelation 20 days prior to the scheduled date
• A 25% Deposit is required for all trips. Trips should be paid in full prior to leaving the dock. We accept all major Credit Cards , Apps, and cash
• Full refund if canceled 20 days prior to the date of the trip. Customers can reschedule up to 7 days prior without losing the deposit.
• If the customer doesn’t reschedule prior to 7 days before the date of the trip, the deposit may be forfeited.
• If the customer doesn’t cancel or reschedule or show up on the date of the trip, they will be charged the full price of the trip booked.

Galveston, Lake Conroe among the most popular boating cities in Texas, boat rental service says

T he Houston area is home to some of the best places to go boating in Texs Lake Conroe and Galveston are ranked among the top five of the most popular boating cities in the state, according to  data from the boat rental service Getmyboat.com.

Lake Conroe ranks fourth while Galveston ranks fifth in the Getmyboat rankings with Austin slotting in at No. 1.

Getmyboat used data from its boat rental service to calibrate its rankings. That includes locations where boats are registered, number of rentals and length of the rentals.

The list's top 10 are primarily towns in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex, but four of the top five areas are outside of North Texas. In addition to Austin at No. 1, Canyon Lake in Hill Country comes in at No. 2.

The average hourly rate to rent a boat in Lake Conroe is $114, with an average trip price of $482 for the service. As for Galveston, it's only $107 per hour with an average price of $325.
