The Tacoma Yacht Club, nestled along the picturesque shores of the Puget Sound, boasts breathtaking waterfront views and a sense of grandeur that perfectly suits the occasion. As guests arrived at the venue, they were greeted by the sight of majestic yachts moored in the harbor, their polished hulls glistening in the afternoon sun. The Tacoma Yacht Club served as the ideal backdrop for the wedding of Kasey and Brian.

The bride and groom, Kasey and Brian, had a vision for their big day: classic elegance with a touch of opulence. And what better way to achieve this than through a classic white and gold color palette with hints of green?

Kasey looked nothing short of ethereal in her wedding gown. The A-line silhouette and a flowing train exuded an air of grace and refinement. Her veil, a cascade of sheer tulle with flower details and small pearls, completed the look, making her the picture of bridal elegance.

Brian, the dashing groom, was the perfect complement to Kasey's radiant beauty. He wore a classic tan tuxedo, accented with a crisp white shirt and a gold silk bow tie.

The floral arrangements were a feast for the eyes, blending seamlessly with the white and gold theme. Creamy white roses and hydrangeas took center stage. The result was a display of floral opulence that adorned the venue, from the ceremony arch to the reception tables.

Kasey and Brian's love story began in a way that could only be described as fate. They met on an airplane when Brian, chivalrous as ever, traded seats with a young girl so she could sit next to her dad. Little did Brian know that this simple act of kindness would lead to a serendipitous encounter.

As the flight continued, Kasey, ended up falling asleep on Brian's shoulder. In that quiet moment, as the airplane soared through the skies, destiny worked its magic. When they disembarked, Brian and Kasey exchanged numbers, and from there, their love story began to unfold. The rest, as they say, is history. Here we are today, celebrating their wedding!

Couple kissing at their ceremony

The couple exchanged vows on the lawn overlooking the tranquil waters. An elegant floral arch framed them as they pledged their love to each other. The sparkling Puget Sound served as the most enchanting backdrop, reflecting the pure, unending love that Kasey and Brian shared.

As the sun began to set, the celebration moved indoors to a ballroom adorned with white and gold decor. The tables were dressed in crisp white linens with gold accents, creating a regal atmosphere. Each place setting featured gold-rimmed china and crystal glassware, a testament to the attention to detail that went into every aspect of the wedding.

The speeches and toasts, filled with laughter and heartfelt sentiments, underscored the love and support surrounding the newlyweds. Then it was time to dance the night away. The DJ played a mix of classic and contemporary hits, ensuring that everyone had a chance to join in the celebration.

Jenna & jack | classic summer wedding at the war memorial, filed under:.

I want you to envision a perfect summer day… you know when it’s not to hot or to cold, where the sun is shining, but there’s a light breeze. That, was Lucas and Erin’s wedding! We couldn’t have asked for anything better, and truth is I wish I could go back and relive their wedding day. Everything was SO good and not just because of the amazing location, or Erin’s breathtaking lace dress (just wait until you see the train!!) but because Erin and Lucas are hands down one of the sweetest and kindest couple you’ll ever meet, and working with them and all of their family and friends was such a joy.

In the midst of the craziness that morning, Erin took a few quiet moments to read a note that Lucas wrote for her. Erin chose to read the words out loud, and soon after tissues began passing around. Lucas wrote that in these next 70 years, he’ll never stop becoming the man that she deserves. It was such a genuine and raw moment! His words were so sweet, and I knew that they meant so much to Erin! Soon after, Erin stepped into one of the prettiest lace dresses I’ve ever seen. She looked like a real life barbie, but even prettier! Erin and Lucas shared a first look with each other before the ceremony, which brought even more happy tears! I’m so happy that they decided on a first look, because we were able to take all of the images before the ceremony around the Bay Harbor Yacht Club. It was absolutely amazing!

Listening to how highly Erin and Lucas were talked about during the toasts was something I’ll never forget. The tears definitely started flowing again! Erin’s dad described Erin as someone who always finds the good in everyone. It was such a testament to what a beautiful heart Erin has! Then you add in Lucas, who is so perfect for Erin, and you have one heck of an amazing couple. You guys, these two are the real deal!

Erin and Lucas, working with you two didn’t even feel like work! I truly just adore you two, and I can’t thank you enough for inviting me into your wedding day. You made me feel like family, and I’m honestly a little sad that our time together has come to an end! Enjoy these photos!!

A Timeless Winter Yacht Club Wedding in Fort Lauderdale

Katie trethewey and charlie arndall.

After getting engaged at The Breakers in Palm Beach, Florida, Katie Trethewey and Charlie Arndall began planning their dream wedding. Though they had to postpone for a year due to the pandemic, their winter wedding at a yacht club in Fort Lauderdale, the city where they reside, was well worth the wait.

Wanting to look back on their photos forever and never grow tired of the selected wedding style, Katie and Charlie chose a timeless, traditional theme for their nuptials at the sophisticated waterfront venue. In keeping with the design scheme, their 210 guests received a classic invitation suite featuring letterpress printing, an elegant floral motif, and a custom map of the destination on navy stationery, setting the tone for the pops of navy blue to come.

On the day of the ceremony, loved ones gathered at a Catholic church decorated with collections of greenery tied with white ribbon at the end of pews, as well as garden-style florals in ivory accented with fresh verdure atop acrylic stands. The bride – who was gorgeous in a classic off-the-shoulder, long-sleeve gown and wore her hair in long, voluminous curls – walked down the aisle on the arm of her father to meet her groom, who donned a navy tuxedo.

“We never left each other’s side [and] have so many special moments together.”

Following the vow exchange, the newlyweds and their loved ones reconvened at the stately yacht club for the festivities. As most of their guests were traveling to Florida for the wedding, “we wanted to make sure that everyone felt welcome,” shares Katie of their overarching goal when planning the celebration. Friends and family enjoyed a poolside cocktail hour before entering the reception ballroom.

Long rectangular tables and round varieties were covered with sleek grey linens and surrounded by clear-back chairs with crisp ivory cushions, befitting the timeless grey-and-white color palette . Centerpieces showcased high and low arrangements of all-white blooms with accents of fresh greenery, and each guest’s place setting included a silver-rimmed charger plate topped with a white napkin, navy blue menu card detailing the multi-course menu, and calligraphed place cards in the same rich hue.

The day was exactly what the couple envisioned for their timeless celebration, and the bride offers two pieces of advice to couples – the first from her grandmother, who was married 52 years, and the second from her and Charlie. “Enjoy being engaged – you will be married for the rest of your lives. This season of life goes by quickly, so enjoy!” she shares. Also, “On the day of your wedding, try to spend as much time together… We never left each other’s side [and] have so many special moments together.”

This Jersey Shore Wedding is Just So Gosh Darn Pretty

Kelly and Kevin prove that summer love can go the distance.

Delivering the latest in style, inspiration, helpful tips and tricks, and everything else you need to know to plan the perfect Philly wedding.

The beach-y union of Kelly Barnes and Kevin Corbett  makes us yearn for the feeling of sand between our toes. The couple’s elegant Jersey Shore wedding featured a subtle nautical theme—love that surf board guest book!—and the day was captured beautifully by Jessica Hendrix Photography .

Kelly and Kevin met at Princeton Bar and Grill in Avalon during Memorial Day weekend — the inaugural start to a summer spent down the Shore. The pair simply walked by each other and started talking. A few days after they first met, Kevin and Kelly went on their first official date, back in the city, at Ela  in Society Hill. It was a “relaxed and comfortable” evening, and the duo talked as if they’d known each other for years.

When Christmas of that year rolled around, Kelly and Kevin had been dating for seven months. After spending all of Christmas Day with both of their families, the pair drove to Avalon to exchange gifts at their favorite place. Upon arrival, Kevin used a remote to light up the house’s deck with Christmas lights that he had set up earlier in the week. The lights directed Kelly to a large wrapped gift, which she opened only to discover nothing inside. When she turned around, Kevin was down on one knee and asked her to be his wife.

One year and nine months later, Kevin and Kelly exchanged vows in Avalon’s Sacred Heart Chapel on a beautiful early September day. They posed for portraits on the beach, then headed to the Avalon Yacht club to get the party started.

Nautical touches filled the decor: Escort cards lay in a bed of seashells, guests signed well wishes on a old surf board, and their envelope box was covered in fishing net and accessorized with seashells. Tables were covered in crisp white linens and topped with elegant white and light-pink floral arrangements with touches of greenery. Their sweetheart table stood out with a shimmery tablecloth.

After swaying to Gavin DeGraw’s “Soldier” for their first dance as husband and wife, Kelly and Kevin were seen off by friends and family in a sparkler-filled grand exit. The beach-lovers spent their honeymoon in Hawaii before returning to their home in Villanova, where she is a college lacrosse coach and he is an executive recruiter.

Bianca Moiseff (27 and a medical student) and Aaron Palushaj (26 and a professional hockey player) used an abundance of greenery and candlelight to make their wedding have a California vineyard feel. Aaron and his father built a ceremonial wood cross flanked by two whiskey barrels. There, the college sweethearts exchanged vows before inviting guests to celebrate with Albanian dance music and oysters by the hundreds. Homemade lamb chops and an array of indulgent desserts were served during the ballroom reception, along with a classic vanilla cake. As a nod to their shared love of travel, every rustic farm table was named for a city beloved by both Bianca and Aaron.

Seawanhaka Yacht Club Wedding

There is nothing more classic than a summer wedding by the sea!  It was such a pleasure to photograph this Seawanhaka wedding, so many great vendors were on hand.

The day starts at the bride’s family home in Oyster Bay. All 10 of her bridesmaids are on hand in matching PJ’s from Roller Rabbit. She dresses in her beautiful Lela Rose  gown and we take some fun and classic portraits in the backyard. (The fun ones include using leftover bachelorette party props featuring the groom’s face!)

The ceremony is held at St. Patrick’s Church in Huntington, New York and features a traditional Catholic ceremony with a receiving line and a bubble exit! The reception is at Seawanhaka Corinthian Yacht Club, about 30 mins away. With a Sperry tent and flowers by Andrew Pascoe featuring blue hydrangeas, it is beautiful setting indeed.

A bright sunny day with gorgeous views of Oyster Bay, we take photos on the huge lawn and later on the dock near sunset. At sunset, the groom sets-off a small cannon when the  flag is taken down, an old yacht club tradition.

Dinner follows as the cooler breezes started to enter the tent. Speeches literally make everyone cry it seems and then dancing to the amazing Hank Lane Artie Stuart Band begins. Sadly, I didn’t get to try any of the delicious looking Lady M Confections  crepe cake. It looks so yummy!
