It’s been sitting a couple of years (thus the price) and I’ve decided I want a turn key boat as I’ve got enough projects as it is.
This was my buddies boat “Sunergy” and was solar/torqeedo electric outboard powered. (see video). We buddy boated for years (I owned “Piccolo”) another solar/sail Jarcat 6. I dumped mine on the frwy, and totaled it, he moved on to another boat, and I bought his. It’s been sitting, needs the basics, cleaned up, some 5200 around the ports, but is not a project by any stretch. This boat has been from Fla. To the apostle islands in the great lakes, and a lot of bodies of water in between.
Heavy duty trailer. My buddy had a second axle installed, and the ladder installed up forward like a pontoon trailer. New tires, new rims, new wheel bearings. I did a quick service and pulled it home 90 miles and pulls like it’s on a track. He’s probably got more into the trailer than I’m asking for the package.
Any Hobie 16, (or 18 if you want more sail area) can be picked up on Craigslist or ebay for cheap. Sheet tracks are in, and mast base (step) is still intact. Put a motor on it, and a rig, clean it up and go sailing. Probably the cheapest Jarcat I’ve ever seen on the market. I’ve decided to move on also. Have some solar panels that are optional, and twin electric motors for it if interested.
Have a clear title for both boat and trailer and both are currently registered.
