Illinois resident that visits Florida a few times a year for the last 15 years and the place always is impressive from the friendly staff to the excellent food, great dance floor and a wonderful outside pool bar area, was sadden to here Deb retired before we could make it back down but hoping she is enjoying a well deserved retirement

Being a long standing member of our yacht club in Wisconsin, and having a home in Bradenton, Florida, we decided to visit the Bradenton Yacht Club. They were not welcoming and are one of very few clubs that offer reciprocity, we couldn't even stop in as guests for a drink.

Photo of Jacki T.

It's really a beautiful location and the views are to die for. The food is mediocre at best but again, the views are great. Often you will see groups of adults in the pool all day with beer cans. They never get out for bathroom breaks. It's a bit low-rent. There is a high turn-over of staff but it often seems like it is more about the staff and less about the members. Especially from the bartenders and manager. Many people seem to be allowed to bring in their own food, while others aren't. It is on a favorite basis. But again...the views are amazing.

Photo of Cassie I.

The bartenders are SO good that they already know what you want before you order it!!! Chelby and Ashlee are friendly, efficient, and knowledgeable! Would definitely recommend for any event!!!

Food took forever and then one at our table wasn't correct. Said it would be 10 minutes longer for his. After 20 he still didn't have it. Said another 5 minutes. Never got entree and everyone else had been finished for some time. Tried to charge us for more glasses of wine than we had. Constantly had to seek out someone to handle each specific issue. Horrible service and left one person still hungry and a very unenjoyable evening.

Hi Connie, I am very sorry to read that your visit with us was less than enjoyable. The experience you relayed is certainly not typical of our club and we'd love the opportunity to earn your trust again. A few weeks ago we debuted our brand new kitchen and several delicious new menu options. It's a great time to give us another try! Please call me directly to discuss what night works best for you. ---Jennifer

I am the biggest fan of this yacht club. And during the COVID-19 risk, they have stepped up to provide their members with the best food on a delivery system that is second to none. My personal favorite is the 1947 salad, which I have ordered a number of times during the shutdown. My husband has a more varied culinary taste, and he has picked each of the sandwich options alternatively. We are so looking forward to returning to the social experience with our fellow members as soon as possible. And we love our staff. Thank you guys.

Great staff!! Super friendly, helpful, always consistent. It's so nice to walk into a place and have the staff remember your name. If you are looking for an unpretentious place to join, with fantastic amenities. ..this it is!

Eat here weekly. All new 1-million kitchen , new chef and excellent staff have created a top eating experience. This is a membership only club. The negative reviews are from questionable, non-member types. If you know a member, ask them to bring you.

Waves Boat Club has over 25 years of experience and operates from five different locations, with each one having its own dedicated and professional team of staff to assist members with events such as evening cruises, fishing clinics, fishing charters, beach parties, and dolphin sightseeing.

All members can enjoy access to unlimited use of all boats and in all locations.

Seasonal and full-time memberships are available for members.

  • Monthly Fees $149 – $299 (Dependant on the plan)

3. Bradenton Yacht Club

Established in 1946, Bradenton Yacht Club has been the home of many dedicated and friendly staff.

They offer boating safety and fun social activities for the whole family.

This Yacht club has been branded by many as being one of the friendliest clubs in the council.

The club consists of over 1200 members, and they host many family-orientated activities whilst maintaining their formal yachting traditions at the same time.

Bradenton Yacht Club boasts five-star amenities, including a marina, pool, tennis courts, clubhouse, fine dining, and bar service.

With a diverse membership of boaters, non-boaters, sailor professionals, and retirees, Bradenton Yacht Club is a home away from home for most of its guests.

It is ideal as well for teens, couples, and families to make new friends and share experiences.

Located just minutes from downtown Bradenton, the 52-slip marina offers guests access to ice, water, electricity, reduced fuel costs, cable TV, and Wi-Fi.

Other features include:

  • Formal and fine dining
  • Hot and cold swimming pools with a bar
  • Scuba Diving
  • Shooting Club
  • Power Boats

Slightly older Boats with higher mileage

Difficult to get a boat with short notice

You could be placed on a waiting list as the club has many complaints of “being too full.”

Not all professional sailors appreciate the constant influx of children, pets, and teenagers.

Membership fees are $160 a month, and the one-time initiation fee is $3,750, which goes into the building fund.

Top reasons why people join a Boat Club:

  • Boat maintenance is taken care of
  • Boat training is available
  • Boat variety and quality
  • Social gatherings and parties
  • You don’t need to take out Insurance and liability

What to Consider When Choosing a Club:

When you join a Boat Club, you free yourself from boat maintenance and insurance costs, and you can avoid paying slip fees or having to drive a trailer around.

Boat clubs are a wonderful option for individuals wanting to find cost-effective and flexible boating options.

Being a member of a boat club allows you to access a variety of boats that offer different experiences and make the overall boating outing an extremely fulfilling event.

Boat Clubs essentially offer a platform for people who have never gone out on the water to try it and see if they enjoy it without having to buy a boat and possibly regret it later.

Just make sure that you are taking these things into consideration as you choose:

  • Family Needs
  • Level of Experience
  • Personal Requirements
  • Goals for Fun & Experience
  • Community; are they a good fit?

If you don’t consider what you require, what you’re looking for, and make sure that you don’t settle for anything less than your expectations, you will find that the membership fees are worth the experiences you will have!

Why Boating is Good for You:

Boating has an amazing ability to bring families together and remove children from all their technical devices.

Parents and children practice teamwork together, ultimately strengthening their family bond.

Human beings are naturally drawn to water as it tends to make most of us happier and calmer.

The fresh salt air when you are boating brings about a sense of peace and stability.

Learning New Skills:

There is always something new to learn when it comes to sailing.

Every boat has different features and can teach you something new, and with all the new technology in this present day, it can be extremely exciting when navigating a boat using all the new fancy gadgets available.

Each boat also encourages different water activities, such as skiing.

Final Thoughts:

Always investigate the available clubs in your area and analyze the pros and cons for each boat club to find one that suits your skills, family needs, boating needs, and above all – your pocket!

Please note that not all the clubs listed above may be considered the most important in the industry, but each one is a representation of the facet of Bradenton, Florida.

Akatov-Alexeyevsky Monastery

Address: 2, Osvobozhdeniya Truda (Liberation of Labor) Street.

The monastery was built in 1620 in tribute to the victory the citizens of Voronezh had had over the Lithuanians and the Ukrainian Cossacks on the commemoration day of Alexy I, the Moscow Metropolitan.

Initially the Monastery was called “The Alexeevsky Monastery on the okat”. Okat meant a gentle slope of the hill where, in front of the river Voronezh, the monastery was erected. Closed in 1931 by the atheistically-minded Bolsheviks it was turned into a nunnery in 1990.

The Bell Tower of the Akatov-Alexeyevsky Monastery

This is the oldest brick building in Voronezh dating back to 1674 and reproducing the architectural style of the Moscow Kremlin towers.

Ilyinskaya Church

Address: 2, Sevastiyanovsky Street.

The church was built in 1767-1771 on the top of the steep hill on the bank of the Voronezh River under the guidance of Alexey Bolkhovitinov, the cleric, the father of Yevgeny Bolkhovitinov (1767-1837), an outstanding figure of the Russian Enlightenment.

The Church was famous for the beauty of its interior, its ancient icons and wall paintings. From 1934 to 1998 there was a Depository of the Voronezh Region State Archives. Presently the Church has been restored and is known as one of the most beautiful temples in Voronezh.
