120' (36.75m) Nordhavn MY AURORA Now for Sale

Posted June 24, 2020 in Brokerage & New Build by Morgan Crowe

The 120-foot (36.75m) MY AURORA is now for sale with Northrop & Johnson Yacht Brokers Sean Doyle and Wes Sanford . The explorer yacht is asking $12,900,000.

MY AURORA is the ideal platform for those wanting the ability to cruise anywhere in the world safely and in the utmost comfort. The luxury superyacht showcases an immense interior volume of 414 gross tons. MY AURORA features an elegant interior styling complemented by large windows, which enhances the feeling of space. The yacht’s main salon is ideal for entertaining with its ample seating and formal dining. At the same time, the skylounge is well-suited for relaxing with an 80-inch TV and L-shaped settee.

Superyacht MY AURORA offers accommodations for 10 guests in five spacious staterooms. The master suite is located for privacy on the main deck while the additional four staterooms are on the lower deck. The motor yacht’s additional staterooms include two king-bed staterooms, a queen-bed stateroom and a twin-bed stateroom.

MY AURORA’s outdoor living spaces are as impressive as her interior. There is alfresco dining on the main deck aft, sumptuous lounge space on the skylounge aft and a jacuzzi with sensational views on the flybridge aft.

Nordhavn built this explorer yacht in 2014. The superyacht has impressive seaworthiness as well as a fuel-efficient 5,500 nautical mile range. Gulf Craft Majesty 120 Review (2021 Edition)

The Majesty 120 superyacht presents an exceptional blend of cabins and deck space, however, it's the unprecedented level of finish that truly distinguishes Gulf Craft's latest offering.

Gulf Craft Majesty 120 Review (2021 Edition) image 1

This 37m (121ft) superyacht market features two and three-deck yachts of incredible ability and luxury, but they usually have one thing in common — five cabins. The tri-deck Majesty 120 has six, and they're all good. Add a sensational sun deck and a level of finish previously unseen from this Middle Eastern yard and the 120 looks an important vessel for its builder and the wider market.

Our Scores Explained

Design & Build

Whilst touring this 120 in Cannes, we kept asking the same question. How has Majesty created an excellent six-cabin 37m (121ft) yacht while the competition has stuck with five cabins?

We found the answer is rather straightforward following some reflection — and after looking at many rival yacht layouts.

Majesty 120 design

By moving the crew quarters aft, Majesty and Christiano Gatto Design have made room for a forward VIP on the lower deck, adding to the four guest cabins amidships that every boat at this length has. Nearly every other yacht in this class keeps the crew forward, so no VIP.

Shifting the crew quarters might suggest a loss of space at the aft end of the boat, and that assumption would be correct. However, everything falls into place due to the smaller size and relocation of the three-person crew quarters aft, without a beach club encroaching on the LOA. Moreover, the addition of the sixth cabin, the exceptional VIP suite, is just the start of the story.

The tri-deck design of the Majesty is fairly in keeping with this yard’s contemporary fleet, but there is something more impressive at work here, from the powerful bows to the clean, linear upper works. It's a design that really delivers onboard, with a mix of cabins and decks that can’t be beaten on space. The crowning glory of it all is a majestic sun deck that feels like it has been lifted from a 60m (197ft) vessel.

Majesty 120 design

Finished with a Flourish

The other thing about this 120, is the clear and impressive progression on fit-out and finish. The interior is the best we have seen from a Majesty yet, full of detail, sophistication, and style, while the decks carry a real air of superyacht confidence.

Sitting just under 300GT, the yacht is on a par with many tri-deck rivals on overall dimensions and volume, so the 120’s successes can be put down to making intelligent calls that benefit both the owner and guests.

Majesty 120 design

Away from the onboard quality, a semi-displacement hull and Caterpillar C32B 2,400hp engines deliver a useful 20 knots. Reducing the revs results in a range of around 1,000nm at 10 knots — fairly low, however, for a yacht of this size with a 24,000 liter (6,300 US gal) fuel capacity.

Interior Accommodation

Because this Majesty is so smart and considered inside, it's easy to look past the design and proportions that enable the yacht to impress. Every part of the interior is spacious and functional. The salon and owner's stateroom on the main deck, the five cabins below, and the upper lounge above — everything feels beautifully balanced.

Majesty 120 design

If there is one omission, compared to more recent 35-40m (115-131ft) superyacht designs, there is a lack of inside-outside thinking. The main and upper salons have the usual aft deck doors but there are no side doors or balconies to open things up.

There is the option to replace a lower deck cabin with a lounge — a feature that removes this yacht’s six-cabin USP — but if you only want five cabins it creates some private space for friends and family.

Majesty 120 cabins

This internal choice reflects a wider enthusiasm by Majesty to work with clients to create highly personalized yachts. Fabrics, finishes, cabinetry, and furniture are all bespoke to the buyer.

Majesty 120 owner’s cabin

Cabin Craft

Staying below decks, the five-cabin layout has two symmetrical doubles aft, with two twins leading to the all-important VIP. This forward cabin is notable for its excellent floor space in the entranceway, making the cabin feel much more usable. The finish is good, as is the ensuite and walk-in closet that push aft. All the cabins are ensuite with deep sections of hull glass for the four guest cabins. Moreover, the doubles come with dressing tables.

Majesty 120 owner cabin

Up on the main deck, the owner’s stateroom is the place to understand the uplift in the finish we are seeing across the Majesty fleet. The cabin feels like it is enjoying a lot of the 120's 8.3m (27ft) beam with plenty of floor space around the berth and big sections of glass to light it all up. There’s a walk-in closet off the entrance and a long sofa below one of the windows but the final furnishings and finish will be left to your tastes. The test boat came with an ivory palette with paneled walls and contrasting, highly lacquered, dark cabinetry.

Back out of the owner’s cabin, the kitchen lies just around to port. Often, guests will congregate in a crewed yacht’s galley — especially if it's as big and social as this one. The kitchen itself is large, lined by storage and worktops, with a dedicated cold storage section. Designed for serious use, the yacht‘s chef will be more than happy, but the neat diner makes the area a space that the whole yacht might well enjoy.

Majesty 120 design

Upper Class

A central, backlit walnut staircase connects the lower, main, and upper decks, and it's the upper deck we'll head to now. A tri-deck yacht’s upper lounge delivers social space in an elevated and private setting that the main salon can’t. Here we have a simple salon and bar area but again the final layout is yours to choose.

The joy of these smaller (and more convivial) lounges is the view they deliver and how they connect to the upper aft deck. Here, the upper deck doors open onto a covered private dining area with its own barbecue area, creating a mix of lounge, bar, and dining across the deck.

Helm Station

The tri-deck design creates a proper pilothouse on the upper deck, with the captain’s cabin running off it — something that eases the pressure on the crew quarters. The helm station spreads across the wheelhouse, with excellent forward visibility and the space for up to four MFD screens.

Majesty 120 helm

Doors to each side mean crew access to the upper deck is easy and guests can join the Captain, with a raised sofa tucked aft.

The upper deck does have an open aft section away from the overhang but it feels like a dedicated dining area. This was another considered move by Majesty because just a few steps away, the sun deck delivers all the sky and lounge space you could desire.

Majesty 120 sun deck

The sun deck is a triumph, as good as anything you will find below 40m, and feels like the kind of terrace that used to be the preserve of 60m yachts. Again, the beam plays its part. The sun deck feels wide and long, with a central bar and lounge finished in rich washed teak beneath an impressive hardtop, inlaid with more teak, stainless steel, and cool lighting.

At the forward end, a raised spa pool is surrounded by sun pads, to the aft, an open deck can come with all manner of seating, the test boat’s modular, movable pads are a great option. It's the sun deck’s overall size and quality, however, that impresses most, all set safely within tall, stainless steel guardrails.

Majesty 120 design

Decks & Tenders

The other on-deck highlight is the long sweep of the elevated foredeck lounge that will be a popular on-port hangout or an exhilarating spot when underway. This forward section has a dual role — the lounge leading down to a working foredeck with a central crane for launching two PWCs.

Majesty 120 decks

The main tender has a garage aft. The PR shots might show a club of sorts with some smart deck furniture but this is a garage first and foremost and that furniture will have to be stowed somewhere else when the tender is stowed. With the tender launched, the garage’s teak deck and neat wet bar create a fun hydraulic waterside terrace with smart steps adding some luxurious ceremony to taking a dip.

Value For Money

Gulf Craft and its Majesty range offer comparatively good value to the superyacht world. Its designs might not always offer the advanced features and finish seen on its rivals but the ability to build large yachts with enticing customization makes Majesty an interesting option. And, of course, if you cruise in the Middle East region, Gulf Craft’s local support network cannot be beaten.

Majesty 120

From our experience, when the vast array of extras these yachts demand is added, the pricing tends to get uncomfortably close to the Italian builders that rule this market.

What sets this boat apart from other models is that it can stand up to scrutiny purely on its design and finish, not just relying on being less money than its competition.

The Majesty 120 is an important yacht, one that boosts Gulf Crafts' constantly improving credentials. It’s important, simply because it's so good. A 37m yacht that delivers superb decks and cabins and comes finished with a new flourish and confidence. The crew quarters are small, but if your cruising is about coastal adventures with as many friends as possible, this is a yacht you need to see.

Reasons to Buy

  • No compromise deck and interior design
  • Massively improved finish
  • Huge sun deck
  • Six cabins or five + lower salon

Things to Consider

  • No inside-outside features
  • Limited range
  • Compact crew accommodation

First, let’s deal with the wonderful elephant in the room. The Majesty 120 finds itself in the same company as Benetti’s Motopanfilo 37m , a wondrous, elegant, timeless and massively capable yacht that simply cannot be beaten. A tri-deck design with a fun fourth viewing platform and a mini beach club, the Motopanfilo has a captivating interior modelled on a whale’s skeleton with ivory ribs running through the yacht. The owner’s stateroom is magnificent as are the shapely guest cabins. A masterclass that will only improve with age, the Motopanfilo has a range of just under 4,000nm - but it is only five cabins.

Another Italian contender guaranteed to be of interest is the tri-deck Sanlorenzo SD126 . Identical to the Majesty on overall dimensions it enjoys a vast salon and main deck owner’s stateroom, plus a class-leading crew quarters forward. The sundeck isn't quite as big but the two-tier foredeck lounge is excellent. It is a slightly slower yacht with a top speed of around 18 knots but a 3,000nm range adds to the yacht’s superyacht status.

Next, we have two yachts that aren’t tri-decks and also stick at five cabins but both are worth your time. The Westport 125 has a massive interior, with an impressive salon, main deck stateroom and crew quarters. The engine bay is excellent with a dedicated engineering zone and there is space for a mini beach club. A top speed of 25 knots is joined by a range of around 3,000nm.

Back to Italy and the sharp, sleek Custom Line 120 . This yacht has a very similar main and below-deck layout to the Majesty only with its crew quarters forward. There’s no sundeck but there is an excellent flybridge, with a pilothouse tucked just below for longer passages, and a foredeck lounge. A tender garage lies aft for tidy launch and recovery.

Sinot Takes On Nature With an Extraordinary 120M Yacht

By Victor Baker

Published on September 26, 2017

sinot nature

The brilliant team from Sinot Exclusive Yacht Design has just revealed a new incredible project called Nature , a futuristic 120 meter-long yacht concept that might have Kevin Costner begging for a Waterworld sequel.

This fully customizable design shows off a holistic approach to nature and sailing, which is to say this vessel was imagined for rich folk who dream about enjoying luxury on the open seas, without feeling the guilt or remorse of damaging our planet.

The groundbreaking vessel before you was meant to be a platform for experiencing the natural world, featuring garden and observatory decks on board. I have to admit, those striking exterior lines seem to contrast with the overall theme and name of this vessel, but they will be surely appreciated by just about anyone.

sinot nature

The lush garden on board benefits from state-of-the-art climate control technology, while the upper deck observatory allows passengers to enjoy unique and memorable views the open waters. Two levels with floor-to-ceiling windows eliminate all borders between man and nature, allowing an overwhelming sense of bonding with nature.

Amenities aboard include eight luxurious state and VIP rooms and, a spectacular owner’s suite, and many other bespoke features, like a cool spa deck, with a lovely gym and swimming pool. Building luxurious yachts with nature in mind seems like the proper way to go, although it might seem a bit discriminatory to allow only those of us with deep pockets to enjoy the good life and save the planet in the process.

Austrian solar catamaran builder Silent-Yachts has announced a collaboration with aerospace engineers VRCO and U-Boat Worx that will see its new 36.7-metre Silent 120 Explorer catamaran offered with the option of an aircraft and submarine.

The new superyacht project, which is due to hit the water in 2024, has been designed with eco-friendly expedition in mind. The yacht will be fitted with solar panels that can power 40kWp of energy, enough for the yacht's hotel mode and with the capacity to recharge an electric vertical take-off and landing aircraft as well as a U-Boat Worx NEMO submarine. The solar panels can also slide outboard port and starboard to reveal a touch-and-go landing pad across the Explorer’s 13.85-metre beam.

“The trend is for bigger yachts and more luxury, more comfort, more water toys and more possibilities,” said Michael Köhler, founder and CEO of Silent-Yachts . “In the Silent 120 Explorer we designed a boat that is bigger in volume although not in length, and bigger gives the opportunity to store more of these toys. “We build catamarans, which means more beam and more space,” he added.

“We also build our boats with solar power and electric propulsion, and that means we don’t have to give a lot of space to an engine room, which means we gain room for things like a gym or extra tender storage. Finally, the extra beam of the catamaran form means the roof can accommodate an eVTOL aircraft. We can plug it in on board and it will be recharged in a couple of hours.

The aircraft will offer transportation for up to four and includes detection and avoidance technology, a ballistic parachute and low-altitude crash prevention systems. The technology is due for certification in 2024.

Meanwhile, the U-Boat Worx NEMO submarine offers diving to 100-metre depths for two people in an all-electric package whose footprint is smaller than two jet skis. It can offer eight hours of autonomy and positive buoyancy for automatic resurfacing at three knots.

Designed by Marco Casali , the multihull model started life as the Silent 100 but has since been extended by around six metres. Thee new Silent 120 Explorer has an impressive interior volume of 499GT, providing plenty of space for owners to make their own. Combined, the interior and exterior offer 900 square metres of space to unwind.

800kW lithium-ion batteries drive highly efficient 340kW e-motors, giving unlimited cruising potential. A cruising speed of eight knots is anticipated, while she is expected to reach top speeds of 16 knots.

While headquarters are in Austria, the Silent 120 is currently under construction in Turkey where the yard is also working on the 25-metre Silent VisionF 82. Part of a unique collaboration with Turkey’s VisionF Yachts, these models are built in aluminium, with four currently under construction.

New All-Inclusive Charter Packages on Select Yachts with Denison

Denison Yachting is pleased to announce that two of its charter yachts, 135′ Horizon STAY SALTY and 120′ Sovereign Yachts REAL SUMMERTIME , will now offer all-inclusive yacht charter packages , starting in the British Virgin Islands and the Bahamas . Unlike traditional charter offerings that have separate rates for high and low seasons along with additional fees for taxes, advanced provisioning allowances, and other costs, this new simplified option provides a single, all-inclusive price. This flat rate covers the charter fee and all associated expenses, ensuring a straightforward and transparent pricing experience.

Charter Yacht STAY SALTY

Denison Yachting began offering charters in 2008 and has since grown to include a dedicated team of charter specialists who help clients build the yacht charter vacations of their dreams. While Denison will continue to offer regular bespoke charters, where guests can customize every single element of their yacht vacation, the new all-inclusive charter program on these select yachts offers an effortless alternative.

“This is an exciting initiative to simplify and encourage new charter clients to try one of the most epic travel experiences imaginable!” stated Ben Farnborough , Denison’s Chief Operating Officer. “Often we’re made aware that there’s a perception outside of the yachting industry that chartering a yacht is inherently complex. Our goal here is to change that. These all-inclusive Denison charter options are straightforward and seamless.”

Charter Yacht REAL SUMMERTIME

These curated vacations feature a fixed itinerary and menu, eliminating the hassle of filling out lengthy preference sheets and allowing professionals to plan the trip seamlessly. With a fixed itinerary, all the guesswork is eliminated, enabling charter guests to sit back and relax. Denison has collaborated with these charter yachts’ owners and crew to determine defined dates, docking prices, fuel costs, and set cocktail lists and menus. This ensures that packaged charter vacations are not only possible but also effortless for interested clients.

Additionally, through its partnership with Magellan Jets , Denison is extending this concept of simplicity and price transparency beyond the yacht charter experience. Magellan Jets provides seamless, private flying from any point of origin directly to the yacht’s location, with every detail meticulously coordinated with Denison. Jet Card clients fly with the certainty of fixed, transparent pricing for every trip as part of the industry’s most flexible and customizable Jet Card. For instance, private travel for 12 passengers from Teterboro, New Jersey to Nassau, Bahamas is available to Magellan Jets card holders for $48,000 with as little as seven days’ notice.

The all-inclusive charter is perfect for those who want everything set up for a single, transparent price. The added value goes beyond monetary savings; Denison’s seasoned charter brokers and professional crew are trained in the best itineraries and options to build the ultimate pre-set vacation packages. Guests arrive at the pre-determined embarkation location and step aboard to experience a tried-and-tested charter experience, from the Captain’s favorite overnight anchorage to the Chef’s most popular menus and the Stew’s best sundowner cocktail.

120 m yacht

This opens up a world of possibilities for even more potential charterers, including those who never thought they could charter a yacht or those who prefer to avoid the planning process. For guests who desire specific or bespoke elements in their all-inclusive charter, Denison’s team is ready to accommodate those requests at an additional cost.

An 82-foot yacht was stolen by an intoxicated man at a Pittsburgh marina Friday morning, according to police.

Officials were called to the Lock Wall Marina off 23rd Street in the Strip District around 8 a.m. The captain of the yacht normally lives aboard but wasn't there Thursday night.

The marina manager let him know in the morning, it was gone.

"He called the police. We called the police. They were well aware of it at that time. But then the weird part is, it ended up just floating right next to River Rescue. So River Rescue, I guess two of the medics, went out there and looked at the boat and said, 'Why is it backing up into here?' And then I got a call on the radio about a boat stolen. So they just walked on, and they arrested one person," Capt. Adam Kernohan told Pittsburgh's Action News 4.

River Rescue detained the man after boarding the yacht. After being cleared by emergency responders, he was taken to Allegheny County Jail.

The man arrested is Michael Fischer, 39. He's charged with theft by unlawful taking, receiving stolen property, and defiant trespass.

The criminal complaint says Fischer "exhibited a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage on his breath" and said to police, "I took the boat. I wanted to meet some Pittsburgh Pirates."

Kernohan says that while the yacht's engine was not started, it wasn't because of a lack of trying.

"She's 82 feet long, one of the biggest boats in the Pittsburgh pool. But as far as starting or not, there's a there's a whole entire sequence of events that have to happen for the engines actually fire on this. And the people that were on board tried to do everything they could to do that: circuit breaker flipped, the fire suppression monkeyed around with," Kernohan said.

"We have a book that says all about diesel engines and everything else. That book was actually open, and somebody was trying to read how to start up a diesel engine."

Kernohan is thankful no one was hurt by the drifting yacht.

"Anybody could have got killed in this thing, kayakers. We have crew teams that run up and down the river all the time," he said.

The signs the captains saw onboard suggested to him that the suspect wasn't alone.

"One person doesn't, like, open up four or five bottles, and there are different items that are on the boat that, some would be male, some would be female. And there are some other stuff like somebody tried dyeing their hair," Kernohan said. "They just helped themselves to anything they wanted."

The captain said police told him Fischer is homeless.

Public Safety says no damage to other boats or objects has been reported. The captain says the damage to the yacht is minor.

This isn't the only time the yacht has been in the spotlight. Kernohan will be appearing in some upcoming episodes of "Mayor of Kingstown," which are shot here in Pittsburgh.

Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sánchez are taking Greece by land, sea and air.

An isle spy tells Page Six that the power couple has been seen on Mykonos, where helicopter pilot Sánchez was spotted taking a whirly-bird for a spin off the duo’s boat, which is filled with “toys,” y’know, like choppers.

Said the fellow traveler: “Jeff was seen coming from the city center in Chora ” — as the tony town is called by locals and in-the-know visitors — “and getting on and off his helicopter onto his smaller support boat.”

Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sánchez

The couple was also photographed strolling through the streets of Mykonos hand-in-hand.

The source further said that, “Lauren has been seen flying a helicopter on and off their support boat, where they keep all their toys . . . helicopters, speed boats and other water toys.”

The source also told us that, “Jeff’s keeping the super big boat they live on, on the other side of the island where there is less wind.”

Jeff Bezos, Lauren Sanchez

The source was referring to the couple’s famous $500 million superyacht , Koru, which they debuted last summer. Building of the mammoth vessel for the Amazon tycoon began in 2018.

Bezos also reportedly owns a “smaller” $75 million yacht, Abeona, which shadows his bigger boat . (One boat blog explained the concept: “In car terms, this is basically the same as buying a Porsche so you can drive to the garage where your Bugatti is parked.”)

The little ol’ support boat can accommodate 45, including 20 crew.

Also on Mykonos as the summer heats up , we hear, is billionaire Jets owner Woody Johnson, who was spotted at fancy beach club Scorpios, after taking a tender from his own yacht.

Bezos and Sánchez have also been seen in Greece dining on the island of Hydra with Bezos’ son Preston.

'Peanuts' characters Snoopy, Woodstock on shirts for Bayview Mackinac sailboat race

120 m yacht

There might be an American icon hitching a ride on the backs of sailors during this year's 100th consecutive Bayview Mackinac sailboat race, which begins July 20.

To help celebrate the race, the Bayview Yacht Club is selling special T-shirts online featuring Charles M. Schulz's "Peanuts" characters — and that includes Snoopy.

Most of the shirts include the logo for the 100th race on the front and the "Peanuts" designs on the back.

The race is slightly older than the famous dog. The club created the race, which goes from Port Huron to Mackinac Island, in 1925. It's the longest continually run freshwater long-distance sailboat race. Snoopy was inspired by the Schulz family dog, Spike, which the cartoonist first illustrated in the 1930s, according to the Charles M. Schulz Museum . Snoopy and the "Peanuts" gang were first published in a comic strip in 1950.

Some of the "Peanuts" and Bayview Mackinac designs include:

  • Snoopy wearing a captain's hat and standing on an anchor.
  • Woodstock in a sailboat that's floating in Snoopy's dog bowl.
  • Woodstock sailing under the words "Peanuts Sailing Team."
  • Snoopy looking at Woodstock sailing in his dog bowl with the popular "Peanuts" phrase, "Good Grief," above them.
  • Silhouette of Sailor Snoopy

The shirts range from $27-$29. There are both adult and youth offerings. Customers are encouraged to order online by June 28 to receive shirts before the race begins.

This is also a big year for Snoopy, as it's the 50th anniversary of the Beagle Scouts. You can find anniversary gear at the "Peanuts" official store and Kohl's.

Motor yacht crew face criminal charges over Greek island fire allegedly started by firework display

A Greek prosecutor has brought criminal charges against the captain and crew of a chartered yacht suspected of accidentally starting a forest fire on an Aegean Sea island

ATHENS, Greece — A Greek prosecutor on Sunday brought criminal charges against the captain and crew of a chartered yacht suspected of triggering a forest fire on a resort island in the Aegean Sea during a firework display.

Greece has been plagued in recent days by scores of wildfires amid hot, dry and windy weather. On the day of the blaze authorities had warned of a maximum fire risk in several areas, appealing to the public for extreme caution.

The blaze on a remote stretch of coastline on the popular island of Hydra, 40 nautical miles (46 miles) south of Athens, destroyed about 75 acres of pine forest late Friday.

The crew of the large motor yacht, which had allegedly been anchored just off where the fire started with 17 tourists on board, were arrested Saturday when they docked near Athens. The tourists were not detained or charged.

State-run ERT television said the captain of another yacht anchored nearby told authorities that the blaze was started by fireworks let off by from the suspects’ vessel on Friday evening.

A prosecutor in the port of Piraeus, which serves Athens, on Sunday ordered the 13 suspects to be held in custody pending their appearance before an investigating judge.

ERT said they were charged under stricter legislation adopted recently and would face sentences of 10-20 years in prison if convicted.

Greece suffers every summer from destructive wildfires that have drastically reduced its forest cover, caused scores of deaths, and burnt homes and property.

Authorities warned of a particularly high risk this summer following a warm, dry winter that has left vegetation tinder-dry.

The fire service said Sunday evening that 41 wildfires broke out all over the country in the past 24 hours.

The blaze on Hydra was extinguished after several hours by firefighters brought by boat to the spot, which is uninhabited and not easily accessible by land.

Euro 2024 best bets: France vs. Poland odds, picks, predictions for Tue. 6/25

F or their final group game in Group C, France and Poland will be squaring off. France are looking to maintain or improve their second place position in the table, while Poland will be playing this game like it’s their last, because it will be!

France are about where most predicted they would be, lossless and looking to advance to the knockout stage after a 1-0 victory over Austria and a 0-0 stalemate against the Netherlands. The confidence that France and their supporters will have entering this match have been put on hold as star forward Kylian Mbappe broke his nose against Austria.

Poland find themselves without a point after losing 1-2 against the Dutch and 1-3 against Austria. Playing for absolutely nothing, Poland will look to put the fear of the underdog into a French team looking to improve for their pedestrian results in the group stage.

Let’s take a look at my preview for France vs. Poland . And for more, check out our  full Tuesday Euro 2024 match projections .

France Picks

In their previous match, France and the Netherlands participated in a fairly action-packed affair, ultimately resulting in a goalless draw. The French are no strangers to scoring goals and creating chances, and this lack of execution in their last game for France could be a side effect of not having Kylian Mbappe in the starting 11.

His status is still uncertain and will likely be decided close to kickoff, recovering from a broken nose he suffered in France’s opening match against Austria. A lack of Kylian Mbappe on a team that’s used to relying on him is sure to experience some change and not appear the same. Fortunately for France, they do not have a shortage of elite players that are more than equipped to excel in their role as they advance into the ongoing European Championship.

One player whose role was elevated due to Mbappe’s absence was Adrien Rabiot. Rabiot appeared to be playing more on the outside in a more attacking role compared to his midfield counterparts, Aurelien Tchouameni and N’Golo Kante. Rabiot’s biggest chance came in the early stages, making a questionable decision in front of goal and opting not to shoot but instead to lay it off to his teammate Antoine Griezmann.

If asked to perform the same tasks in this upcoming match against Poland, France’s biggest weakness could be the lack of an attacking option on Rabiot’s side of the pitch. Thankfully, Theo Hernandez’s quality as a left-back is more than enough to compensate for the lack of attacking force on his end of the field, as he is just as skilled going forward, if not more, as he is at defending.

Poland Picks

Entering this match, Poland are the only team in the tournament that have failed to secure a point in their first two games and are the only team to be eliminated without needing to play a third game. Playing in arguably the toughest group in the tournament, it isn’t a huge surprise to see Poland’s current situation, being handed losses by the Netherlands 1-2 and Austria 1-3. France won their opening game against Austria.

World class striker Robert Lewandowski has only seen roughly thirty minutes of game time in this tournament. He has been sidelined with a thigh injury in Poland’s first match and made a 60th minute substitution appearance in their previous match. Poland haven't really been able to find their footing, seeming to rely on how long they're able to hang with their opponents before playing from behind, which is where mistakes arise.

One positive aspect of their game has come from set pieces. Their goal against the Dutch came from a corner of the head of Adam Buksa, who has proven his resiliency by replacing one of the greatest strikers in the world. With nothing to play for, Poland are actually set up for an interesting scenario entering this match. They have the opportunity to put a huge strain on France’s morale for the rest of the tournament as they will most likely be heading to the knockout stage, barring a miracle in the final game.

France vs. Poland

When considering France vs. Poland predictions, it’s clear that both teams have a lot at stake, making the analysis and forecasts for this match particularly intriguing.

France need to have a strong performance to prove to their fans and even to themselves that they live up to their astronomical expectations. A good place to start would be scoring a goal that the other team didn’t score for them. I have a feeling France will want to get off to a hot start early on and try to hold off Poland for the remainder of the match.

Poland will look to leave everything they have on the field and look to take as many positives away from this match, in hopes to forget about their failure to qualify for the knockout stage. One bet that would satisfy both of these narratives would be the 1st half over 1.5 goals at +140.

With France’s desire to get things going early and Poland’s pride on the line, we could very well see a little chaos in this match — likely in the first half.
