Wave Piercing 75-Foot Explorer Yacht For Sale

If you think you might run into some heavy seas on your next cruise (or even on the cruise after that), you might want to take a look at Enmer , a 75-foot explorer yacht that’s built to handle them all.

Enme r in a 2019 version of a 75-foot, 44-knot Safehaven Marine XSV20 that’s built to go anywhere in the world. The front windshield is supposed to be bulletproof: It’s made of inch-thick ballistic glass. The hull is designed to blast through waves offshore, not riding over the top.

The hull is reinforced with carbon fiber and Kevlar, and it has a sharp, wave-piercing entry with a deep-V midsection flowing back to two catamaran-like aft sections for stability.

Enmer is powered by twin 1,150-hp CAT C18s with waterjet derives. It has a top speed of 44 knots and a range of 600 nm at 26 knots. Humphree Interceptors provide control at all speeds.

The interior is minimalist, with two cabins, holding two people each, plus a crew quarters. The pilothouse has four SHOXS shock-absorbing helm and passenger seats.

Enmer was built for Jack Setton, the French billionaire and yacht owner, power and sail. On its delivery, the boat cruised 2,500 miles from the Safehaven yard in Cork, Ireland, to Setton’s slip in Porto Cervo, Sardinia. Now it’s for sale in the south of France, with a price of 1,950,000 Euros, or about $2,374,000, listed with Edmiston Yachts. (See the video below.)

For his part, Setton will move on to another adventure. He got in to boating in 1966 when he and his father saw Don Aronow’s Magnum 27, and got hooked. They had a similar boat designed in France, replacing the sterndrives with outboards and taking some weight out of the hull. Then they built it, as the Setton Bullit 298, in Miami. The U.S. Navy bought some and dropped them from airplanes.

Jack Setton himself moved on to building and buying a series of innovative sail and power boats, including a 194-foot expedition yacht and a 105-foot converted Gulf coast shrimp boat called Pink Shrimp .

The Northwest 75 twin cockpit motor yacht is the flagship model of the Northwest Yachts fleet and to say she is impressive is a gross understatement. Everything that an owner of a trawler motor yacht or an expedition yacht desires from safety, hull and deck strength, economical fuel efficiency, superior handling, and luxurious accommodations inside is found standard on the Northwest 75. And with two cockpits built into the layout, the opportunities for relaxing or dining outdoors are abundant. The interior of the Northwest 75 is perhaps the most impressive with luxury appointments throughout that satisfy even the most discerning yacht owner. The master stateroom boasts a king-sized berth with a Handcraft pillow top mattress and a hydraulic lift under the mattress to access storage spaces underneath. There is a center island with drawers as well as two hanging lockers for extra clothes on extended journeys. Powered by twin MAN V8 1000hp engines, the Northwest 75 will achieve a top end speed of 20-knots, which makes this expedition-style yacht competitive with all similar yachts in its class. When cruising at 10 knots with extra fuel reserves and the genset running, owners can expect a range on the Northwest 75 to be around 1,200 nautical miles. Construction begins on AvA Yachts new Kando85 explorer model

Construction has begun on AvA Yachts ' new 25.7-metre Kando85 explorer model. A keel-laying ceremony was held at the Turkish shipyard's facilities in Antalya earlier this month with Kando85 investors SRW Yachting. The Kando85 is for sale with a scheduled delivery date of summer 2025 ahead of her debut appearance at the Cannes Yachting Festival.

Constructed with a steel hull and aluminium superstructure, the Kando85 is a full-displacement motor yacht capable of long-distance cruising. Boasting an interior volume of 200 GT, the yacht's standard internal configuration is a four-cabin arrangement with a main deck forward master suite.

Atilla Küçükdiker, chairman and founder of AvA Yachts said: "Our ‘soft’ launch last year of the Kando80 demonstrated very strong interest in a proper global explorer in this size range. It’s at the right size point to be able to be either a fully crewed yacht or for an experienced couple or family to run it themselves or with minimal crew operation."

He continued: "The Kando85 has been developed from the 80 and is super strong with an underwater steel thickness of eight to 10mm and multiple watertight bulkheads for ultimate safety. With Turkey able to offer a really significant quality yacht construction price advantage, potential buyers will be pleasantly surprised to see how much quality explorer superyacht bang they can get for their buck.”

Svein Willadssen from SRW Yachting commented: “To call the Kando85 a pocket explorer would not do her justice. She’s a superbly well-equipped ultra-safe oceangoing explorer superyacht. We know very well AvA Yachts’ ultra-high quality of construction and excellent finished product and we see the potential of the Kando85 as phenomenal."

He added: "It is hoped this will be the first of many Kando85s whereby we can establish a series production operation offering the very best of all worlds; the ultimate oceangoing comfort yacht, the proven engineered platform and efficiencies of scale, and whilst still being able to offer layout and customisation options unparallelled in this size range."

Powered by twin Volvo Penta D13MG 408 hp engines the Kando85 will reach a maximum speed of 11 knots. At a cruising speed of 10 knots a range of over 4000 nautical miles is achieved.

According to BOATPro , AvA Yachts currently has a Kando110 currently in build, also part of the explorer series.

The exterior decks are adorned with multi-functional furniture designed to support myriad activities: The dining table can transform into a cocktail bar come evening, while the sunbathing areas can convert into more intimate seating. The interior decks haven’t been unveiled at this stage, but Alia says the contemporary, richly detailed decor was tailored to the owners’ personal preferences. The yacht can sleep up to 10 seafarers, with four generous guest cabins and a spacious owner’s suite on the lower deck.

“ SAN is a striking and innovative boat that highlights our strengths as a truly custom builder,” Alia President Gökhan Çelik said in a statement. “It’s projects like this that attract the best clients from all over the world.”

In addition to SAN , Alia has recently signed contracts for another custom 148-foot superyacht and a bespoke 141-foot explorer. Currently, the Turkish builder has five yachts ranging from 141 to 197 feet under construction. Alia has delivered 10 vessels over the past decade or so, including the 102-foot Virgen del Mar VI in 2018, the 197-foot Samurai in 2019, and the 180-foot Al Waab II in 2021. The latter was crowned the world’s longest steel and aluminum superyacht below 500 GT upon delivery.
