Following her recent sale, it has been confirmed that BROADWATER will re-enter the charter market as the 50m/163ft motor yacht BLU 470 .

Delivered from Feadship in 1990 and regularly updated before undergoing a significant refit in 2014, BLU 470 is certainly a motor yacht committed to the best of luxury living. Indeed, from her contemporary interior to her generously proportioned exterior not a single amenity has been overlooked.

Entirely charter-friendly, Feadship superyacht BLU 470 features every imaginable luxury

Extended in 2008, the upper deck benefits from even more exterior space than before. Put to fantastic use, a casual seating area has been added towards the aft to allow guests to enjoy uninterrupted views along with their drinks.

The BLU 470 yachts Aft deck has a wet bar and casual seating for 6 guests however it is the upper aft deck which offers a large and private deck space for el fresco dining for 10 as well as casual seating for 10. Motor yacht BLU 470’S Sun deck boasts large comfortable sun pads and lounge chairs, not to mention a Spa Pool and wet bar. It is possible to board BLU 470 via the Passerelle on the stern or on the Port and starboard sides.

The 49.68 metre (162’11”ft) custom-built Blu 470 yacht was launched in 1990 by Dutch shipyard Feadship and features a sophisticated exterior style by designer Donald Starkey and De Voogt Naval Architects, the in-house design studio who were also responsible for the naval architecture and layout on board; creating a complete package of comfortable living.

The Patrick Knowles and Donald Starkey interior flows through the layout offering ample accommodation for 10 guests in both style and comfort. Blu 470, built with steel hull and aluminium superstructure, is an immaculately maintained, stable, superyacht with a highly-skilled staff of 10 yacht crew adding the dimension of unrivalled service for those on board.

Refitted in 2008, the sophisticated exterior reflects the unbridled elegance on board, offering distinctive Feadship style wrapped around large volumes thanks to a beam of 8.45 metres (27’8”ft). Luxury charter motor yacht Blu 470 is an exceptional yacht, launched by Feadship in 1990. She has been continuously improved, including an extensive refit in 2014, under the supervision and design team of Patrick Knowles. The owner and Patrick collaborated to bring a modern feel whilst keeping the wonderful Dutch pedigree she has to offer. As with many areas of the yacht, the salon offers surround sound music and iPod docking stations. The formal dining room is located forward of the main salon and offers seating for 10 guests. Her custom built wine fridge proves to be a highlight and a perfect accent to divide the main salon and dining while still offering an open feeling. The sky lounge on the upper deck has a bar with 3 stools and a day head forward. The sky lounge is the perfect area for relaxation and entertainment, featuring a games table, a large flatscreen TV with surround sound and the on-demand Kaleidescape movie and music system, along with a book library, board games and an iPod docking station. The main aft deck has a bar and casual seating for 10 guests, whilst the upper aft deck which offers a large and private deck space for al fresco dining as well as casual seating for 10. The Unique Burial of a Child of Early Scythian Time at the Cemetery of Saryg-Bulun (Tuva)

In 1988, the Tuvan Archaeological Expedition (led by M. E. Kilunovskaya and V. A. Semenov) discovered a unique burial of the early Iron Age at Saryg-Bulun in Central Tuva. There are two burial mounds of the Aldy-Bel culture dated by 7th century BC. Within the barrows, which adjoined one another, forming a figure-of-eight, there were discovered 7 burials, from which a representative collection of artifacts was recovered. Burial 5 was the most unique, it was found in a coffin made of a larch trunk, with a tightly closed lid. Due to the preservative properties of larch and lack of air access, the coffin contained a well-preserved mummy of a child with an accompanying set of grave goods. The interred individual retained the skin on his face and had a leather headdress painted with red pigment and a coat, sewn from jerboa fur. The coat was belted with a leather belt with bronze ornaments and buckles. Besides that, a leather quiver with arrows with the shafts decorated with painted ornaments, fully preserved battle pick and a bow were buried in the coffin. Unexpectedly, the full-genomic analysis, showed that the individual was female. This fact opens a new aspect in the study of the social history of the Scythian society and perhaps brings us back to the myth of the Amazons, discussed by Herodotus. Of course, this discovery is unique in its preservation for the Scythian culture of Tuva and requires careful study and conservation.
