Our recent power boating trip in Toronto was nothing short of fantastic, thanks to Harbourfront Centre Sailing and Powerboat. On a whim, my wife and I decided to explore the city from the water and discovered this incredible experience that allowed us to bring along our dog, Lucky. Despite being novices to power boating, we were thrilled to find that this adventure was accessible and beginner-friendly. Booking was a breeze, and the staff at Harbourfront Centre were exceptionally welcoming and helpful. They provided a thorough review of safety protocols and ensured we felt comfortable before setting out. All we needed was a driver's license, making it easy and convenient for first-timers like us. The hour-long trip to Centre Island offered stunning views of Toronto's skyline, and we had the freedom to navigate around the island at our leisure. The boat was surprisingly easy to handle, even for someone with no prior experience. It was the perfect introduction to power boating, and we quickly got the hang of it. Lucky, our initially hesitant dog, soon warmed up to the adventure and ended up enjoying the ride just as much as we did. It was such a joy to share this unique experience with our furry friend. The freedom to explore at our own pace, coupled with the breathtaking vistas of the city from the lake, made for an unforgettable day. Toronto in the summer is a vibrant place with endless activities. If you're looking for something fun to do, don't miss a visit to the Toronto Islands, where you can enjoy beautiful beaches, cycling paths, and lush parks. It's the perfect spot for a summer picnic or a relaxing day out on the water. I highly recommend booking a power boating trip with Harbourfront Centre if you're in Toronto. Whether you're a boating novice or a seasoned sailor, the friendly staff and amazing views promise an extraordinary outing on the water. We can't wait to do it again!

We used a Groupon for a 90 minute rental of the Paradise F13 Mini Powerboat ($69). Normally it's $69 for just 60 minutes. It was really a lot of fun. We got a map and was free to go anywhere in the inner harbour and through the Toronto islands. 1.5 hours seems like much but it's not because once you enter Toronto islands, it's a "no wake" zone. Here you have to slow down the speed of the boat to a walking pace. Overall this was a lot of fun. It's good for a date or hanging out with a friend as it fits two adults. It gives you an excellent view of the Toronto skyline. Great for photographers. TIPS: Call in ahead of time to make reservations. $500 damage deposit. Come 15 minutes before your time to go through safety video and additional instructions/rules, signing agreement forms, and grabbing your life jackets. It's important to not be late as it may cut through your time!

Got a Groupon to rent the power boat for 1.5 hours. $75 for a 2 person boat and $95 for a 5 person boat. I would definitely recommend the 5 person boat even if you are only 2 people. The reason is the boat is much more spacious, and it will allow for better pictures!!! The staff are friendly and informative. The boat ride on the lake is so awesome! You get to ride pass center island and see a point of view you never seen before. There's a speed limit on the inner harbour. And a no wake zone around the island, so you can't go very fast. But other areas on the lake you can go faster but there's still a limit on the boat. Go try it! It's fun and memorable.

We got the mini powerboat Groupon and had a delightful date on the water. The staff were polite, knowledgeable, and accommodating. Our original reservation was for 5:30, but I got stuck at work. The staff pushed back our reservation til 7:00 without a problem. They made sure we had all the safety instructions and that we still got our full 90 minutes on the water. A very pleasant customer service experience. The boat itself was a clattering old thing, but it worked fine. We couldn't go very fast, but that was probably for the best as my partner had never driven a boat before. It was a beautiful summer week night, and the lake was full of sailboats, tall ships, kayaks, canoes, paddle-boarders and even planes overhead. It felt like being in a busy city park like Christie Pits or Trinity Bellwoods, but so much more beautiful. We brought burritos and soda with us and had a little water picnic in a hidden nook by the Island, and then we watched the sun go down behind the city skyline. One of the best dates I've ever been on and a thoroughly relaxing experience. I plan to go back and get a bigger boat to cruise around with some girlfriends.

If you're looking for staff that is rude and does the bare minimum and no more you found the right place. Disregarded our concerns in a condescending and patronizing manner. Ruined what might have been a good experience. Do not recommend.

I've rented their small speedboats quite a few times in the past and once this year. The website mentions that "Our fleet is in great shape...". Well I haven't come across that fleet yet. I'm not sure why I keep coming back here, if it wasn't for my little nephew, I wouldn't. The boats are crap and not well maintained. Slow speed I can understand but I have yet to sit in one of their F13 motor boats that didn't want to, or that didn't die in the middle of the lake. Last time I rented for an hour, they had to come and get me because they didn't put enough gas. Not bad if everything is working fine but take your cell phone with you in case you get stuck in the middle of the lake! Positive: If you don't have one, you don't require a boating license.

Photo of Sam C.

No issues at all, got the Groupon for the mini powerboat for 90 minutes. All the staff we dealt with were very pleasant, polite, and talkative. We booked in advance, they accepted our international drivers' licenses and allowed us to pay the damage deposit with credit, debit, or cash, which is appreciated as we don't like credit cards. We then filled in a short declaration for our temporary boating licenses and watched a short video, then got our life jackets, went to the boat and off we went. The boats are OK, not amazing, but not bad. The harbour is limited to 6mph anyway and the islands are a no wake zone. We didn't have any problems with it, it worked fine and they're surprisingly comfy. All in all, a fun trip out, I'd recommend.

I took their basic dinghy course. It is well priced. And you learn how to sail. Its actually really fun when you get the hang of it and there is wind. They have new catamarans, we sailed and their picos. Get 10% off their courses with the WE card!!

I bought the groupon for this F13 powerboat experience. I have to say it's really FUN and I highly recommend it as a dating plan. You won't regret it! There are more pictures and info on my blog: http://torontoparadise.blogspot.ca/2012/09/f13-powerboat-harhourtfront-center.html

My girlfriend and I had a great time renting the small powerboat and the price was very affordable. The people working here are very accommodating and friendly. We look forward to coming back again.
