The Outremer 52 has been designed based on the observation of the owners’ needs and uses. While performance and safety have always been the basis for the design of Outremer blue water catamarans, simplicity of navigation and quality of life on board are the two essential components that completes the specifications of Outremer teams. Surrounded by the best naval architects (VPLP), and great names in French design (Patrick Le Quément, Darnet Design, Saguez & Partners), the Outremer shipyard has engineered a smart and seaworthy 52-foot catamaran for the ultimate bluewater cruising experience.

Outstanding visibility

Since the performance of a catamaran is largely determined by its weight, ingenuity was required to build the structure of this new model. An innovative technology developed by the Gunboat shipyard (also a member of the Grand Large Yachting Group), has made it possible to reduce the weight of the structure, while maintaining a high level of resistance. This has made it possible to increase the glass surfaces and openings in the boat that allows crews the reassuring benefit from increased visibility during navigation, regardless of their position in the saloon or cockpit.

Whether for ocean crossing, sailing around the world, or along the coast, this 52-foot catamaran will make sailors and their families feel both safe and comfortable on their liveaboard boat.

Improved user experience

This new model has been designed to make life on board easier in all circumstances. While it benefits from the upgrades of the Outremer 55, such as the different helm positions, the front view from the saloon and the helm bench adapted for two people, the Outremer 52 goes even further. The architectural communication between the interior and exterior living spaces allows for better watchkeeping on board: at the bar area in the cockpit, for example, it is possible to have a meal while continuing to keep watch ahead. At night, watches can be taken from the saloon’s bench which was designed in the direction of the navigation.

Inviting space

Everything has been carefully thought out to allow the enjoyment of every aspect of life on board. The Outremer 52 is a blue water cruising catamaran filled with natural light, offering living spaces adapted to long voyages. The common living spaces have been designed to facilitate circulation on board, to extend the feeling of wide-open spaces and to allow for festive moments with family or friends. The full opening of the bay window allows easy circulation and creates a convivial space between the cockpit and the saloon. The kitchen’s work surface is open to the interior and exterior spaces of the catamaran, and will undoubtedly be a privileged place to meet at any time of the day.

Customized and modular interior designs

To meet the very different needs of each catamaran owner, Outremer has designed a modular space called My Free Space. Located in the port forward cabin, this space can cover five different uses:

• a double cabin
• a convertible office with bunk beds
• a modular cabin, with an office convertible into a workshop, a folding bench and numerous storage spaces
• a dressing room
• a child’s cabin

RIGGING: PERFORMANCE AND EASE OF HANDLING

The decision to move the mast further aft, which comes directly from VPLP’s experience in competition, has numerous advantages for a cruising catamaran.  The shorter boom makes sail handling much easier, the self-tacking jib facilitates tacking, the recentered weight of the rigging considerably reduces the pitch of the boat... a wealth of innovations to facilitate life on board!

LOOK & PERFORMANCES

With the “faceted” aspect of vertical bows, tapered hull forms, a suspended coachroof, and streamlined rigging, the Lagoon 52 already displays some original flair; yet her originality does not end with her exterior “look,” nor with her interior layout. Important – and in some cases radical – resulting decisions remain faithful to our convictions, in terms of elegance, comfort, safety, ease of handling, and of course, performance under sail.

The LAGOON 52 marks a whole new era in the design of cruising catamarans, as indeed did its predecessor, the famed 500. With its diamond-shaped vertical bows, bevelled hulls, its as if levitated deckhouse and tall rig, the LAGOON 52 is no ordinary catamaran, but its originality goes a great deal further than just its "outer" appearance, or even its interior layout. This LAGOON is the result of lengthy discussions between the architects at Van Peteghem-Lauriot Prévost (VPLP), the Italian Nauta Design agency and the LAGOON design department. These discussions led us to make some important and sometimes radical choices, while remaining faithful to what we believe in, in terms of elegance, comfort, safety, user friendliness and, it goes without saying, performance under sail.

ADVANCED PROVISIONING ALLOWANCE An advanced provisioning allowance or APA of 20% will be added to the cost of your charter to accommodate the purchase of food, beverages, and fuel for your charter. All food, beverage & fuel receipts, elected dockage and scuba fees will be subtracted from your APA and any remaining funds will be returned at the end of your charter.

You will never be short of space on this large cat. Whether it is a champagne sunset cruise or a week-long family vacation, the crew would love to welcome you on board for a once-in-a-lifetime experience and would love to invite you ready for an ideal affair! The majority of their excursions are custom and crafted with the goal that you can tailor your experience to yourselves and what you need to see of the Cayman Islands. PAYMENT TERMS: In addition to the 15% deposit amount, the charter company requires USD $500 upfront to reserve your boat charter request (a tour date and boat). 48 hours before departure, the remaining amount of your charter will be collected together. which is fully refundable with at least 7 days' notice in writing before your scheduled charter. NOTE: Please be kindly informed that International Boat Charters will collect 15% of the payment via the first payment link and that the Charter Operator Company will receive directly from you the remaining balance amount. Once we have received the 15% deposit, we will provide you with the charter company's contact information so you can submit your credit card information directly for the $500 USD charge and pay the remaining balance over the phone/WhatsApp! Included are: Fresh towels Music (Bluetooth available) WIFI, Snorkel Gear, Life Jackets, Snorkel vests and sea noodles, and food for the Sting Rays. Is it necessary for me to be concerned about becoming seasick?

Please visit your physician before your tour, follow their advice, and carry any medications that they prescribe. Please don\'t overdo it on the alcohol the night before!

What is the difference between a Private Charter and a Regular/ Shared/ Public Charter?

We only provide private charter in most regions, which means a boat trip with no other passengers, you rent out the entire boat with a Captain/ skipper just for your own group/ party. Yet in some regions, we do also provide shared charters. A shared charter is a fantastic choice if you would like to interact with new people and make new friends. Moreover, it reduces the cost of the trip.

Do you offer bareboat charters?

Yes, we do offer bareboat charters in a few areas. By selecting the "BAREBOAT CHARTER" category, you may choose an ideal boat for your next vacation. If you find that there isn\'t a boat listed under this category yet, please let us know and we\'ll try our best to recommend you one based on your preferences.

What information do you need from me to send me a quote for a boat charter?

Please go to our website, select the boat of your choice, fill out the short booking form, and click the "request availability" button, or contact us and let us know what type of boat you prefer, as well as the day and time you would like to book your boat charter. How many passengers will be there, and the number of hours required/ time duration of the boat charter? Please also let us know your preferred type of trip/activities, such as snorkeling, fishing, sailing, cruising & sightseeing, sunset, special occasion celebration, and so on.

What are your payment terms?

Our payment terms are stated on our website. This varies depending on the charter company and the region. If you have any queries concerning the payment terms of your chosen boat, please contact us. OR, as soon as we receive your boat charter inquiry, we will inform you of the payment terms, if they differ from the ones stated on our website!

What do you provide?

We provide snorkel gear including vests and spare towels if needed. We also provide ice, bottled water and juice … and of course, squid to feed the rays.

Can we bring our own food and drinks?

Snorkeling, fishing, cruising/ sailing, sightseeing, sunset, and customized trips are all available!

Can we bring alcohol?

Felix yacht description.

Felix is a 2015 Lagoon 52 with 4 spacious queen guest cabins. All guest cabins have en-suite electric heads with vanity and separate shower stalls. There is also a bunk cabin that offers two single berths and crew will swap out for a queen upon request. Felix has an abundance of natural lighting and ventilation throughout the yacht plus air-conditioning throughout. Each cabin can adjust the air-conditioning individually for optimal guest comfort. The yacht offers alfresco dining in the cockpit and will comfortably accommodate 8 guests at the table. The salon will also seat up to 8 guests for dining or just relaxing. There are plenty of options for sunbathing and multiple areas to avoid the midday sun is you so choose. The fly-bridge offers seating and lounge area with a 360-degree view and in addition there is a lounge area upfront behind the large trampolines. Whether you are looking for a fun family adventure or a Caribbean getaway with friends, Felix is perfect for you on the sailing trip of a lifetime!

She was completed by the ship builder Lagoon in 2015. The spacious yacht layout features 5 generous cabins and easily accommodates a maximum of 8 guests.

FELIX is offered primarily as a sailing catamaran. The central space of the yacht is the main saloon, which connects to the aft deck. The aft deck is expansive, with a comfortable dining and seating area and that's where the guests spend most of their time. Captain: Kayla Rosenstrauch

MEET YOUR CREW FOR THE 2023/2024 SEASON Captain: Kayla Rosenstrauch Chef: Chris Allwright Kayla grew up along the Texas coast and spent her summers on the water aboard fishing boats and at the beach. This guided her passion for the ocean. At the age of 16 signed up for a scuba diving camp, in the British Virgin Islands, where she lived on a catamaran and went diving three times a day for 6 weeks. This is when her desire to become a Captain and Divemaster got started. After obtaining her marketing degree at LSU, she first worked as a chef/hostess for Quarterdeck and then attended a sailing/captain’s school in South Africa where she did a 4-month program to obtain her RYA Yachtmaster Certification. This is when she knew she had made the right decision and followed her heart. Kayla returned to Croatia where she began working as a captain. Kayla is a sociable and ultra-positive individual with a love for people and is extremely outgoing and enthusiastic about life! Chris started off his love of cooking at a young age with his father who always encouraged him to make his own meals, no matter the challenge it may have presented. He has a degree in geological science and worked in the advertising industry for 3 years before joining a culinary program to become a private chef. He has worked on charter yachts in Croatia and Greece and as a private chalet chef in the French Alps. In 2022, Chris also worked as a relief chef for several different restaurants in different locations throughout Dublin. This afforded him a unique insight into different kitchens offering differing cuisines and styles. Having first crossed paths in 2021 Kayla and Chris became best friends. They have had the opportunity to work together on charters in the Virgin Islands and when they both worked in Croatia. They are truly an outstanding duo and look forward to tailoring the experience to their guests preference, while sharing their love for cooking, cocktails, sailing, diving and sunsets on the ocean in their favorite bays. WHITE PEARL spends the summer and winter season in Greece. She was delivered by the well-known ship builder Lagoon in 2013. The ingenious yacht layout features 4 generous cabins and comfortably accommodates up to 8 guests.

WHITE PEARL is offered primarily as a sailing catamaran. The the core layout is spread out from the main saloon, which connects to the aft deck. The aft deck is generous, with a prominent dining and seating area and that's where the guests spend most of their time. The immersive cabins offer designer mattrace beds and feature ensuite bathrooms. The cabins offer unbeatable views in the morning and are located just below deck. Multiple portholes connect you with the outside world.

The Unique Burial of a Child of Early Scythian Time at the Cemetery of Saryg-Bulun (Tuva)

In 1988, the Tuvan Archaeological Expedition (led by M. E. Kilunovskaya and V. A. Semenov) discovered a unique burial of the early Iron Age at Saryg-Bulun in Central Tuva. There are two burial mounds of the Aldy-Bel culture dated by 7th century BC. Within the barrows, which adjoined one another, forming a figure-of-eight, there were discovered 7 burials, from which a representative collection of artifacts was recovered. Burial 5 was the most unique, it was found in a coffin made of a larch trunk, with a tightly closed lid. Due to the preservative properties of larch and lack of air access, the coffin contained a well-preserved mummy of a child with an accompanying set of grave goods. The interred individual retained the skin on his face and had a leather headdress painted with red pigment and a coat, sewn from jerboa fur. The coat was belted with a leather belt with bronze ornaments and buckles. Besides that, a leather quiver with arrows with the shafts decorated with painted ornaments, fully preserved battle pick and a bow were buried in the coffin. Unexpectedly, the full-genomic analysis, showed that the individual was female. This fact opens a new aspect in the study of the social history of the Scythian society and perhaps brings us back to the myth of the Amazons, discussed by Herodotus. Of course, this discovery is unique in its preservation for the Scythian culture of Tuva and requires careful study and conservation.
