York River Yacht Haven is a full-service destination marina located at the mouth of Sarah Creek, opposite Yorktown. Our 14 acre rural site is in a natural “hurricane hole”, storm protected from every quadrant, making it a very sought-after home for some of the finest yachts in the Chesapeake Bay.

York River’s fuel dock provides Gasoline and Diesel and is a certified ValvTect Petroleum Products marina. Their products are specially formulated to provide complete engine protection in all vessels and effectively help keep marine engines running cleaner.

Can I just join the swimming pool? I am new to the area. There are just 2 people in my family and we would like to find a place where we can swim in a pool (as opposed to the river) If so, what is the cost?

You need to have s boat at the marina to use the marina facilities, including the pool. The restaurant is separate from the marina and available to to everyone.

After many years at YRYH, we made the decision to pick up anchor and move elsewhere. What used to be a marina with a restaurant has become a restaurant with a marina attached. Marina management has made it clear to slipholders who has sway here. The last straw for us is no more DIY in the boatyard. From what I hear, 35 other boats at YRYH left as well. If you are a transient coming for a weekend, you will be fine. But if you are looking for a longer term set up, you may want to consider sailing to another destination.

Recently moved our boat here from another marina in the area. We love the floating docks (which means your boat is always at the right height for climbing off and on) and the facilities. Rates are competitive with other places in the area and provide a good value for what you get in return. On-site there is a ship's store, ice, gas, pump out, pool, bathhouse, and laundry. There is a restaurant too if you do not feel like prepping a meal on your boat or driving somewhere. Grocery, shopping, including a West Marine Express, within a mile or two.

Nice place to tie up for the night. Tricky to get in and out, so watch the channel markers carefully! Fairly good marina store. Pool, facilities, laundry on-site. Great restaurant there too.

Fantastic marina, you won't find one as the same caliber in the area! I've been keeping my boat here for almost 5 years now and haven't considered keeping it anywhere else during the Summer and Fall. Lots of recent changes with the yard, dock repairs, and some new policies in effect. I'm not especially pleased with a couple new policies regarding credit card charges but understand this may be a corporate decision from the top down. Love the pool and staff and the special events they host throughout the year. Keep up the good work as I plan to return every year if you'll have me!!

Located right in Sarah's Creek (Hayes/ Gloucester) offers this convenient gift shop and marine supply store. Easy to access by water or by land this store has all your needs and more. If you need specific marine related items or if you are just killing time waiting for your table at YROC, this store is perfect for everyone. It has a good mixture of clothing, supplies, summer essentials, and necessities. The store is well stocked and has a good selection of items. Some items include: floats, sunscreen, sunglasses, shoes, life vests, dock line, oil, hats, jewelry, koozies, etc. (refer to pictures posted) Leave a review on google or Facebook and get a free small bag of ice.

Thank you staff at York River Yacht Haven. You put on a tremendous memorial day barbecue on Saturday. Kimber, you are awesome and a Great new addition to the staff. I want to thank Rich from the yard for all his barbecue expertise the pork with awesome. We love the folks at York River Yacht Haven. It is a tremendous place to spend the weekend or all the time you need don't wanna leave.

Amazing marina and staff. Kimber is an awesome dock hand and very knowledgeable about boats as well as the local area.

Busy and well managed Marina. Lots of great benefits to staying here from the nice piers to the bath facilities, pool, ship store and restaurant. Will definitely come again!

Very Nice Marina with lots of Friendly people. They offer some Water Sports Fun Rentals: BOATS, Yes BOATS, Kayaks, and Paddle Boards, etc. Shopping is always fun at their gift Shop, and they offer an excellent Restaurant with two decks on the water. Yacht Haven has a beautiful Swimming Pool, and Outside Grills. You could just live here and never leave.

Contacted this company as an alternative for a girls day out. Capt. Bill was amazing!! He went out of his way to accommodate my request for a specific day and time. We started on time, learned a lot about the area, history, and he even let us steer the boat! We also saw a family of dolphins which really topped off the trip. My friends and I were so pleased and satisfied about our adventure. Thanks again Capt. Bill for a great experience!!

I moved my boat here this year due to the low tax rate that they instituted last year. I have eaten at the restaurant several times and the food is actually very good. The docks are very clean and seem well organized also. My biggest complaint with this place is they refused to bill you on a monthly basis and you have to pay all of your dock fees upfront for the entire year. That is highly disappointing as there is no way I am going to give someone $4000 of my money all upfront when I haven't even used the facilities yet. I will definitely be moving my boat next year as it seems likelike it is very lazy on their part not to take the time to offer a monthly billing option. I have kept my boat in many marinas in Hampton roads and I've never seen one that refuses to bill on a monthly basis. In addition I got a bid for haul out, bottom paint, and waxing and their prices are some of the highest I've seen in the area.

As a precautionary measure to protect our staff and fellow boaters, York River Yacht Haven has increased its cleaning and sanitizing frequency at the marina.

Transient boaters have access to laundry and public restrooms using a code. Our Marine Store carries a wide array of merchandise, from boat-cleaning products to navigation charts, safety equipment, fishing gear, snacks, and more! Transient: $2.40 - $2.65/ft

Cancellation Policy: Monthly and seasonal reservations must be canceled within 30 days of the arrival date. York River Yacht Haven will refund a reservation deposit, minus a cancellation fee, provided the reservation is canceled no less than 48 hours prior to 12:00 noon on the arrival date.

Cancellation Fee is 15% of total reserved slip amount of $25.00 whichever is greater. If the reservation is canceled less than 48 hours prior to 12:00 noon on the arrival date, then the entire deposit is forfeited. Vessels over 75' canceling, forfeit entire deposit regardless of when reservation is canceled. In the event the reservation is not canceled, and the above vessel fails to arrive, regardless of reason, York River will charge the provided credit card for the total reserved slip amount.
