S/V Cashmere is a 2016 Fountaine Pajot Saba 50 catamaran for sale by broker.
The Saba 50 is an offshore/liveaboard catamaran with all of the latest innovations incorporated by Fountaine Pajot.
The owners version has 4 cabins each with en suite facilities.
She has a huge cockpit with dining for 12. Her flush decks lead to a smart forward seating area in front of the mast. There is abundant storage in forward and cockpit compartments.
A couple of steps up from the cockpit is the control station which seats 3 and has all controls led to it with it’s supporting electric winches right at the helmsmans fingertips.. This station is at deck level so the skipper can step on to the deck to help with docking, or communicate with loungers on the sun deck just a couple of steps up on the cabin top. The helmsman also has ready access to the cockpit from this practical station, which allows communication or passing refreshments from cockpit to helmsman.
The cockpit itself has an absolutely flush floor into the main saloon, with a wide double door which makes it almost indiscernible as you pass from main saloon to cockpit. The galley counter extends into the cockpit, where you have an additional refrigerator and ice maker. The galley has 2 pull out refrigeration drawers and a separate freezer.
The saloon has huge windows and skylights which make the interior unusually bright. There is a forward facing Nav/control station and now with the remarkable blue tooth navigation repeaters, you can plop down with your smart pad here (or anywhere) on the boat and have full access to all of the instrument functions including the chart plotter. There is comfortable seating for up to 12 guests, who can see out the windows, sitting or standing while seated at the convertible table which can offer cocktail or dining room seating.
Below, to starboard, you have 2 large double cabins with island berths and private, en-suite heads with separate shower. there is also an optional single berth all the way forward.
To port is the owner’s cabin aft, with extra storage, oversized port light and a huge separate shower. Forward of this is a 4th island berth cabin with an optional single berth forward.

Chris has done what most urban weekend sailors only dream about. In 2008, following Hurricane Ike, a global economic downturn and a frustration with the hamster wheel of life, he quit his Fortune 500 day job and left for the Caribbean. Having both a USCG 100T Masters Captain’s license and a RYA Yachtmasters 200T ticket, he was hired quickly by one of the largest names in Charter Yachts, The Moorings. There he spent 2 years running Catamaran charters, showing guests the best spots in the British Virgin Islands, Abaco, Bahamas, and St. Marten/St. Barths. He also spent some time in the Megayacht world in Ft. Lauderdale, Portland OR, and Chicago’s Great Lakes before returning to Houston.
