Types of Yachts covered by Yacht Insurance

Day Sailing Yachts: Day sailing yachts are used primarily for recreational purposes and do not contain any sort of cabin. These yachts are meant for day-use and are typically, small, under 20 feet in length.

Weekender Yachts: Weekender yachts are used primarily as a means to get away for short periods of time. These yachts tend to be around 30 feet in length and have only a small cabin with minimal sleeping quarters and prep space for a basic kitchen. Most weekender yachts are designed for usage during 2-3 day excursions.

Cruising Yachts: Cruising yachts are the most common yacht in private use. Typically between 23 and 46 feet in length, the cruising yacht is a great balance of luxury, space and agility.

Luxury Yachts: These yachts are typically 82 feet in length or larger. These giants on the water have luxury features including televisions, multiple sleeping quarters and often elaborate materials. Yachts in this category require a very specialized policy to ensure your investment is safe while both moored as well as at sail.

Here are some items you’ll need to consider when shopping for boat insurance in California:

• Navigational Area: Know where you are covered in the water. Some companies offer protection that covers you up to 75 miles from the U.S. coastline; into Canadian coastal or inland waters; and into the Pacific coastal waters of Mexico. In California, Florida and Oregon, additional coverage area can be purchased.
• Agreed Value Coverage: Boats depreciate just like automobiles. Actual cash value policies can make it difficult to replace a boat that’s been stolen or destroyed. Agreed value means that if your boat is a total loss you will get the value you insured it for, minus any deductible.
• Liability: Like car insurance, personal liability coverage provides coverage to other boaters and boat owners in the event you are at-fault for an accident on the water. This coverage will pay to repair or replace the property of someone else as well as for their medical care, lost wages and other costs incurred as a result of a boating accident for which you are at-fault.
• Medical Payments: Medical payments coverage will pay for the cost of needed care that is the result of a boating accident. This coverage is available from $500 to $10,000 and covers you, your passengers, and even your water skiers/tubers, regardless of who is at-fault.
• Physical Damage Coverage: Physical damage coverage pays for the cost to repair or replace your watercraft, its motor, any permanently attached equipment, and your trailer, if it is stolen or damaged.
• Uninsured/Underinsured Watercraft Bodily Injury: Since boat coverage is not always mandatory, many boaters choose not to get insurance. If you are hit by an uninsured or underinsured boater, and you are injured, this type of coverage pays for medical treatment, lost wages, and other costs associated with the accident.
• Fuel Spill Liability and Wreckage Removal: Should your boat sink or be seriously damaged, there is a chance that it could leak oil or fuel into the water. As the boat’s owner you are required by law to have this cleaned up, which can be time consuming and expensive.
• Personal Effects: Your policy can provide coverage for many personal effects, including clothing, jewelry, cell phones, scuba/snorkeling and other sporting equipment, and fishing equipment.
• Unattached Equipment Coverage: This pays to repair or replace equipment that isn’t permanently attached to your boat or personal watercraft, but is designed for use primarily on a boat. This includes items like lifesaving equipment, water skis, anchors, oars, fire extinguishers, tarps etc.
• Emergency Assistance: The Emergency Assistance Package provides coverage for towing, labor and delivery of gas, oil or loaned battery if the watercraft is disabled while on the water.

Some policies offer additional coverages such as: emergency service, life salvage coverage, coverage for repairs after a loss, coverage for emergency first aid, and uninsured boater’s coverage. We had a great time. Captain and deck hand were amazing. Boat was so nice, and loved the cute decor. They even provide utensils, napkins, plates, tiki mugs etc. Made things so convenient. Highly recommend!

We had an amazing time on the yacht. The yacht was beautiful with lots of areas to take pictures, dance and talk to friends. We had a max party of 13 people and the yacht was still spacious to have us. We all had the time of our lives. The whole staff was amazing throughout. They were very welcoming and made us feel at home. We will definitely do this again!

Excellent experience! This party boat is the real deal. Staff was so kind and helpful. We celebrated my son's 18th birthday on the boat and karaoke was the real deal. Everyone jumped off the top boat deck. We will for sure book again!

We had THE BEST time!!! It was the most perfect event for my best friend's bachelorette. The crew was amazing and we will be using them again the next time we visit SD. Worth every penny!

Rented the boat for a birthday celebration and some playoff football! Captain Ryan and Deckhand Dusty were phenomenal! Between their upbeat personalities and their willingness to go above and beyond (helping with drinks, bbqing etc) they truly made the day perfection!! The boat was so comfortable with more then enough space for everyone to hang out on the top deck together! I truly cannot wait to book this boat again for what I'm sure will be another amazing day!! Thank you everyone for the seamless transaction and fun day!!

I dont typically leave reviews but this boat deserves a 5-star review. January was great to work with. We had to make a few adjustments and she was responsive, patient and accommodating. Captain Ryan and deckhand Jess were so friendly and provided fantastic service! Our birthday celebration on the boat was perfect! It's beautiful, spacious, and has a great vibe. Definitely coming back. Thank you for making this experience so memorable.

Hourly Pay Range (Minimum - Midpoint - Maximum):

The stated pay scale reflects the range that Sharp reasonably expects to pay for this position.  The actual pay rate and pay grade for this position will be dependent on a variety of factors, including an applicant’s years of experience, unique skills and abilities, education, alignment with similar internal candidates, marketplace factors, other requirements for the position, and employer business practices.

• AHA Basic Life Support for Healthcare Professional (AHA BLS Healthcare) - American Heart Association -REQUIRED
• 1 Year Experience within a hospital or medical setting.
• Communication Communicate scheduled times, prep and related information to the technologist for quality patient care. Ability to answer phone calls, prioritizing during peak periods of volume. Ability to answer questions over the phone to physicians offices. Provide patients with eye to eye contact and recognition as they approach the reception desk. Ability to document accurate phone messages and notification to appropriate personnel.
• Completes daily batches Combines patient's previous exams with current study with consideration to timely flow through the department. Completes established tracking steps with accurate data. Communicates information and delays to patients to minimize anxiety and waiting time.
• Demonstrates application competency Maintains log-in and out procedure for foreign films. Maintains log-in and out procedures for loaning films. Prepares and pulls films for conference and subpoenas. Maintains Temporary and Archive patient files with minimal unread and/or missing films. Able to communicate preliminary and final reports as requested by referring physicians.
• IDXRad and IDX utilization Able to perform registration function collecting accurate and complete information. Able to identify and document patients insurance information. Able to schedule all Imaging Procedure in IDX/Rad. Able to communicate appropriate preparation information to patients. Able to handle add-on procedures and emergency situations appropriately. Understanding of IDXRad down-time procedures.
• Meeting participation Attends required mandatory inservices and departmental informal meetings.
• Effective interpersonal skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to courteously accommodate angry or frustrated customers.
• Ability to use computer keyboard-manual dexterity.
• Visual acuity.
• Ability to meet deadlines.
• Ability to calmly handle 50-100 telephone or personal contacts daily. Ability to calmly handle 80-1000 telephone calls.
