Fantastic ”

Me and my husband stay there for a night for our 31 wedding anniversary. It was well worth the money the breakfast was lovely the staff were very friendly. I would definitely recommend it to friends and family. Great location to get to the 02 Stratford shopping centre is not too far away On the DLR lots of great places to visit a long river. You can also go on the cable cars With the amazing views many places to eat in 02 . Stratford . Canary wharf has amazing bar called brew dog . And if you like the old fashioned style fare game there a place called . Fare games in Canary Wharf just look for the big yellow duck it’s not too expensive it’s an over 18 venue you can get food there . I live in London so this is why I’m giving my view on places you can visit . Greenwich Also has amazing restaurants Some beautiful architecture all with in 15 minutes each other . THANK YOU FOR THE AMAZING WELCOME 5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

It is not my first time at this amazing hotel. Absolutely love this hotel, very unique, with an amazing views and close to transport links and attractions in east london. The highlight of this place is the staff, very kind, friendly and welcoming. Would highly recommend. Food is very good as well. Very clean hotel and rooms.

Me and my wife have been there for our anniversary and we found it absolutely lovely and a perfect place for getaway. The staff were very very kind and understanding. The night we had dinner there was a staff member Usha Kiran and their team were absolutely lovely , they helped us in choosing the best food and cocktails. We’d love to come again and looking forward to enjoy their hospitality again.

We booked the Sunborn Yacht Hotel as a surprise for my dad’s 50th birthday. Even before we arrived the staff were so lovely, we called ahead to ensure the hotel could cater to me being in a wheelchair and they were very helpful. The check in process was easy and we were given all the information we needed. When my dad arrived to his room he had a cake, balloons and bubbly waiting as we booked the Birthday Arrival package which was way worth the money it looked great and he was so surprised! The rooms are absolutely stunning just as was the whole of the hotel - it didn’t disappoint in the slightest it was perfect for the special occasion! The staff were super helpful and upgraded my room due to needing some further upgrades due to my disability and illness. They were so understanding and catered to my every need. Honestly couldn’t recommend enough the rooms were beautiful, the whole hotel was beautiful, the bar and restaurant was lovely, the staff were so helpful and kind and we all had the best time! Couldn’t recommend enough!

We loved the location, close to train stations and the city center. The hotel facilities were fantastic, offering a spacious and well-equipped room with a beautiful river view and balcony. The staff were outstanding, providing excellent service and being welcoming and helpful throughout our stay. We also enjoyed a lovely meal in the restaurant, with the added bonus of a birthday party happening above us.

Couldn't find any faults at all.

We had a fantastic 3-day stay on this unique yacht hotel. The staff was amazingly lovely and made us feel so welcome. The classic room exceeded our expectations with its spaciousness and comfortable bed. The views from the dining rooms were stunning, especially at night. The location was easily accessible with convenient transportation options nearby, including the metro.

Absolutely nothing.

The location was excellent, offering stunning views of the surrounding areas. It was also very easy to access, with convenient transportation options from Canning Town tube station or DLR. Even though it wasn't in the center of the city, it was still close enough to easily get to all the attractions by train.

The view from the window and the outside sitting area on deck 3 were stunning. The hotel facilities were high quality, with a jacuzzi bath and sauna in our room, which was a nice treat. The staff, particularly the friendly reception staff, were accommodating and helpful.

Nothing for me.

The rooms were spacious and the bed was incredibly comfortable. The shower was the most powerful we have ever experienced in any hotel. The reception and bar area were great, and the outside decks offered wonderful views. The breakfast was generous and delicious, with a fantastic cooked option at a great value. The staff were professional, helpful, and made our stay memorable.

The receptionist who booked in told us that there was only a continental breakfast available and no hot food, so we declined. Fortunately we checked in the morning and were able to book then and enjoyed an extensive choice of hot and cold buffet food.

Room location and breakfast was all excellent. Most of the staff were approachable.

Only fault I can raise about my stay was the food we had. The burgers we ordered were very dry and bland. But that’s the only thing I can say bad about my stay and that’s a very minor thing.

Great location, staff amazingly helpful and polite, clean and spacious rooms. Honestly one of the best hotels I have stayed in London.

I waited over an hour for room service of two drinks from the bar & was still charged the service charge. The drinks were also incredibly overpriced. The wifi was quite weak & unreliable in the room and the light in our bathroom flickered throughout the full stay. Whilst this is the negative side of the review, none of this would prevent us from staying again we just wouldn’t use room service or drink in the bar.

I wished that we had more time on the yacht, so beautiful, and more space for relaxing on the outside deck or top deck. The food was ok, but a bit pricy, not a lot of options on the menu only one vegetarian dish.

Very good location, quite and clean. Our rooms was clean and spacious, the view of the river was so beautiful. Breakfast was tasty, loads of options for everyone, a shame that the check out is too early for my liking.

It was a lovely experience,the place was spotless the staff polite and attentive,all in all very good.

I think the decor is tired and some of the internal fittings are now showing wear and tear. Staff were generally inattentive and breakfast was boarding on the chaotic running out of plates and coffee cups. Not as good as when we last stayed.

Great location next to the 02 and Excel. DLR and cable car are close by.

Was the second time we stayed at this hotel as we loved it so much the first time. Something different. A beautiful authentic yacht in a perfect location within walking distance of the Excel Exhibition Centre. Service was on par with what you would expect from a 4* hotel.

There were kids running round the bar in the evening which spoilt a chilled evening drink.

Staff were extremely friendly and helpful and bed was really comfy.

When we got there, none of the lifts were working, and there was no indication as to how to contact Reception. Eventually my husband managed to get onto the ship and go to Reception, and a member of staff came to take me up via the service lift (I have mobility issues).

The breakfast bar was really well stocked, with much more than you could ever want! The food was also yummy!! We also appreciated the fridge in the room, in which you could put your own items, as well as bottled water being made available for our use free of charge on a daily basis. All staff were very polite, friendly and attentive, and good at what they did. Especial thanks go to the room operatives, and also to a young man who had only started work the week we went - Kristian, I think - who was happy to deal with any queries, as well as having to learn his new role: we wish him luck in his future endeavours!

Poor breakfast set up, made it a lengthy queue to wait to get seated and then difficult layout for ease Very strict on 3pm check in time so made everyone wait in the bar, which meant everyone wanted to check In at the same time, causing delays and queues.

Savvino-storozhevsky monastery and museum.

Zvenigorod's most famous sight is the Savvino-Storozhevsky Monastery, which was founded in 1398 by the monk Savva from the Troitse-Sergieva Lavra, at the invitation and with the support of Prince Yury Dmitrievich of Zvenigorod. Savva was later canonised as St Sabbas (Savva) of Storozhev. The monastery late flourished under the reign of Tsar Alexis, who chose the monastery as his family church and often went on pilgrimage there and made lots of donations to it. Most of the monastery’s buildings date from this time. The monastery is heavily fortified with thick walls and six towers, the most impressive of which is the Krasny Tower which also serves as the eastern entrance. The monastery was closed in 1918 and only reopened in 1995. In 1998 Patriarch Alexius II took part in a service to return the relics of St Sabbas to the monastery. Today the monastery has the status of a stauropegic monastery, which is second in status to a lavra. In addition to being a working monastery, it also holds the Zvenigorod Historical, Architectural and Art Museum.

Belfry and Neighbouring Churches

Located near the main entrance is the monastery's belfry which is perhaps the calling card of the monastery due to its uniqueness. It was built in the 1650s and the St Sergius of Radonezh’s Church was opened on the middle tier in the mid-17th century, although it was originally dedicated to the Trinity. The belfry's 35-tonne Great Bladgovestny Bell fell in 1941 and was only restored and returned in 2003. Attached to the belfry is a large refectory and the Transfiguration Church, both of which were built on the orders of Tsar Alexis in the 1650s.  

To the left of the belfry is another, smaller, refectory which is attached to the Trinity Gate-Church, which was also constructed in the 1650s on the orders of Tsar Alexis who made it his own family church. The church is elaborately decorated with colourful trims and underneath the archway is a beautiful 19th century fresco.

Nativity of Virgin Mary Cathedral

The Nativity of Virgin Mary Cathedral is the oldest building in the monastery and among the oldest buildings in the Moscow Region. It was built between 1404 and 1405 during the lifetime of St Sabbas and using the funds of Prince Yury of Zvenigorod. The white-stone cathedral is a standard four-pillar design with a single golden dome. After the death of St Sabbas he was interred in the cathedral and a new altar dedicated to him was added.

Under the reign of Tsar Alexis the cathedral was decorated with frescoes by Stepan Ryazanets, some of which remain today. Tsar Alexis also presented the cathedral with a five-tier iconostasis, the top row of icons have been preserved.

Tsaritsa's Chambers

The Nativity of Virgin Mary Cathedral is located between the Tsaritsa's Chambers of the left and the Palace of Tsar Alexis on the right. The Tsaritsa's Chambers were built in the mid-17th century for the wife of Tsar Alexey - Tsaritsa Maria Ilinichna Miloskavskaya. The design of the building is influenced by the ancient Russian architectural style. Is prettier than the Tsar's chambers opposite, being red in colour with elaborately decorated window frames and entrance.

At present the Tsaritsa's Chambers houses the Zvenigorod Historical, Architectural and Art Museum. Among its displays is an accurate recreation of the interior of a noble lady's chambers including furniture, decorations and a decorated tiled oven, and an exhibition on the history of Zvenigorod and the monastery.

Palace of Tsar Alexis

The Palace of Tsar Alexis was built in the 1650s and is now one of the best surviving examples of non-religious architecture of that era. It was built especially for Tsar Alexis who often visited the monastery on religious pilgrimages. Its most striking feature is its pretty row of nine chimney spouts which resemble towers.
