Hey, I was fumbling around on youtube the other day (looking for information on the Dehler 38SQ, Salona 380 and Elan E5, but that's another story) when I came upon a whole bunch of videos by 'Captain Q'. They are surprisingly good. It seems like he wanders around marinas and storage yards and then reports on some interesting boats. I watched 3-4 segments and they were quite enjoyable. Not as much fun as sailing, but it's December and my boat is put away for the winter. I watched him go through a Cal 40, a Stevens 47, and a Hinkley. Fun things to watch. Yep, I've watched all of his videos. Love'em.  

Only two posts about Captain Q and Randy, WTF ? It's one of the best new YT channels out there. He looks at some fun boats and really knows his stuff. I would highly recommend a looksee  

Agree. He's very knowledgeable and entertaining. I've watched a bunch of his videos from which I've learned a lot.  

Hasn’t Randy started a channel?  

@JerryStar It's on the same channel but he started a sub series as he bought one of the boats they had reviewed. He's going to document the modifications I think twice per month of things he wants to address. I really like the channel, they seem like really nice guys and seeing the wide selection of sailboats they have toured is really a good watch. I'm sort of surprised more people on here haven't commented on the channel, it was a weekly Thursday treat during the pandemic. I really like Sailing; Good, Bad and Ugly, Beau and Brandy Sailing and of course, Sailing Soulianis

I saw that to, I enjoyed watching those shows and he'll be missed for sure. I did enjoy his last boat review though as a Bristol's are one of my favorite boats. Hoping to get into a 29.9 (33.3 if possible, the one he reviewed) in the next 1.5 to 2 years.  

I like this guy. I like when he comes across a potential problem. He doesn't gloss over it. But he just points it out with a comment "you might want to look into that," then moves on.
