After four long years of construction, Rossinavi ’s biggest ever superyacht has officially hit the high seas. The vessel, which measures 230 feet from tip to tail, left the Italian shipyard last Friday to embark on new ocean adventures.
Previously known as Project King Shark, the steel-hulled behemoth now goes by the name of Polaris , fitting since she can handle the most extreme polar regions. The ice-class vessel was commissioned by a private client and is first and foremost an explorer, although that doesn’t mean she’s short on luxury.

Polaris features interior and exterior design by the talented Enrico Gobbi of Team for Design . She sports clean, elegant lines and continuous black windows that are not only a strong visual statement but also afford sweeping sea views.

The 1,542GT interior, meanwhile, reflects the client’s decidedly refined personal taste. Textiles, furniture and materials were all sourced from high-end international brands and together create an atmosphere that Rossinavi describes as “luxurious and distinctive, yet warm and welcoming.”
Polaris can sleep up to 12 guests across six generous cabins, along with 17 crew in 10 crew cabins. The owner’s suite is, of course, the standout, offering its own dedicated deck and private terrace with an ultra-zen waterfall to boot.

On top of that, Polaris has amenities aplenty, including yet another waterfall, a soundproof cinema on the main deck, a 20-foot infinity pool, and a wellness center that offers a fully equipped gym, sauna, hammam, massage room and yoga area. There’s also space for six jet skis and two tenders, one of which is a custom 33-foot limo tender built by Rossinavi.
The superyacht features the latest diesel-electric propulsion, which promises to improve performance and lower fuel consumption. She can hit a max speed of 17 knots and cover 6,000 nautical miles when sitting at her cruising speed of 15 knots. She is also equipped with a dynamic anchoring system that allows her to set up shop wherever needed, from the warm waters of the Caribbean to the sub-zero Arctic.

Motor Yacht ‘Polaris I’ Open for Charter in the Mediterranean

Launched in 2014 by Rossi Navi, Polaris I was the second in the yard’s Prince Shark series and scooped a World Superyacht Award in 2015. Combining style and functionality, she is an ideal choice for a charter vacation in the Mediterranean . Her spacious deck areas offer charter guests various arrangements for lounging, dining and socialising. On the sundeck, take a dip in the four-metre swimming pool complete with a waterfall feature before drying off on the chaise loungers aft. Casual alfresco dining and friendly get-togethers can then be enjoyed in the seating area under a glittering titanium overhang, and an expansive stretch of sun pads in the bow area provides a secluded retreat for sun lovers. A circular titanium table on the upper deck aft provides a more formal alfresco dining option and is joined by a large outdoor lounge on the deck below, perfect for pre-dinner cocktails and taking in gorgeous views of Greece and the stunning coastline of Croatia .  Laden with luxury, the Enrico Gobbi-designed interior of superyacht Polaris I boasts a neutral colour palette and lavish furnishings such as pale ivory maple wood and ivory-white leather. A handmade mosaic adorns a feature wall in the main salon, where sumptuous seating and a metallic piano form a lounge aft, and an exquisite dining area forward is looked over by a shimmering chandelier. Other highlights include an elegant spiral staircase, a sauna and gym, and the beautiful skylounge is flooded with natural light thanks to the vast windows. There is also a large retractable swim platform, making it easy to enjoy the wide selection of water toys on board. In total, the motor yacht can sleep up to 10 guests in five staterooms, including an exquisite master suite with a fold-down balcony and private office, three double cabins and one convertible cabin. Polaris Industries will relocate its newly acquired Larson Boat Group from Pulaski, Wis. into its Rinker Boat factory in Syracuse, Ind., company officials confirmed Tuesday. Rob Parmentier, CEO of what was Marquis-Larson Boat Group, said Tuesday that he decided to sell the assets of the Larson Boat Group to Polaris after struggling to find enough workers in Pulaski to keep up with demand. At the time of the sale, made public Monday, Parmentier was short about 50 workers. "We were up here near Green Bay and were just struggling to find enough workers," he said. So, selling Larson to the Medina-based Polaris is simply a "a win-win," Parmentier said. Larson Boats used to be made in Little Falls, Mn. but moved to Wisconsin in 2017 as part of a consolidation effort. Going forward, Parmentier said Meanwhile, Parmentier said he has already begun to ship manufacturing molds for Larson, Larson FX, Striper boats, and Escape Pontoons to Polaris' Rinker plant in Indiana. Polaris acquired Rinker Boats as well as Bennington, Godfrey and Hurricane boats in July when it paid $805 million for Boat Holdings LLC. Polaris spokeswoman Erika Frederick said the addition of Larson should "result in new manufacturing and operations positions for the Polaris Boats facility in Syracuse."
