Capt. Morgan Sailing Charters specializes in nautical weddings on scenic Lake Pontchartrain in New Orleans Louisiana. We also offer daily cruises 3 times a day aboard our Catalina 350 sailing yacht Zephyrus II. She is a very spacious, stable, wide bodied 35 foot long sailboat. Extremely spacious air conditioned cabin that is perfect for the bride to put the finishing touches on her ensamble. Also allows for plenty of room for the passengers if we get a popup shower while out cruising. We provide light snacks and non-alcoholic drinks on our cruises. You can bring your favorite adult beverage as long as its not red wine or hard liquor.

Looking for a romantic date idea, a girls trip, or perhaps a memorable family adventure? All sails are *PRIVATE*, which means you get the *ENTIRE YACHT TO YOURSELVES* plus the captain/crew for an invigorating 2 hour sailing experience. You may have up to 6 guests, including yourself! Located just 9 short miles from the French Quarter.
All Yacht Experiences include:
- 2 hour cruise along the south shore of Lake Pontchartrain on a spacious & stable 47ft Beneteau Oceanis sailing yacht for up to 6 guests in your private yacht party
- Complimentary refreshments, including water, sodas, white wine, craft beer, chips & popcorn
- Upgraded food & beverage options are available when you book
- A short safety briefing from Master Captain Doug with all proper safety equipment onboard
- Amazing sound system, which you control, comfortable seating, warm blankets, clean restroom onboard
- You will see NOLA’s downtown skyline, the world’s longest bridge over water (Lake Pontchartrain Causeway bridge), and also our multi-billion dollar levee protection system
- 2hr Private Sails are $399 for the first 2 passengers (excludes holidays, Mardi Gras, and Jazz Fest).
- Weekday Value Pricing: $349 for the first 2 passengers on any Yacht Experience on a Monday thru Thursday prior to 3pm only (excludes holidays, Mardi Gras, and Jazz Fest).
- You may add up to 4 additional passengers (ages 0 to 100) to your private sail for $89 per person. No more than 6 passengers can be in your group.
- Add an extra hour of boat time (3 hours total) for $149. Start time becomes 30-60min earlier. Not available in March, April, and October
- Upgraded food & beverage options are available when you book!
- 6 passengers maximum per U.S. Coast Guard requirements. No exceptions. Pay for the first 2 passengers when you book. You may add on up to 4 additional passengers & pay for them on the day of your sail via credit card, cash, or cashless apps. NOTE: ‘4 person minimum sails’ require payment for 4 passengers at the time of booking.

We will provide you with our special iPad so you can select songs/playlists through Spotify Premium. Or, you can just chill with Captain Doug’s yacht themed playlist or request your favorite Sirius XM channel.
Come really prepared by creating a special 2hr playlist on Spotify just for your private sail. Don’t forget to make it public so you will be able to access it from the yacht ipad.

Our boat is registered as a recreational class vessel so we can only take 6 paying passengers. Please don’t ask us if more than 6 can come. We can’t allow it. Sorry!
WEATHER CONDITIONS NOTE: In New Orleans especially during the summer months, rain and thunderstorms are isolated and usually short-lived. However, if it’s an actual weather system with potentially unsafe conditions, the captain will cancel at his discretion, and refunds will be provided.
