How Many Links does a Rolex Come with? (+ How to Count)

Rolex Oyster bracelet

How Many Links does a Rolex Come with And How to Count Them

How many links does a Rolex bracelet come with from the factory?

Rolex has a number of different bracelet designs, made for different types of watches. From the factory, Rolex watches come with full links, and when a customer buys a watch, the retailer will help size the bracelet for the customer – if they want to.

For smaller watches, targeted towards people with smaller wrists, the bracelets tend to have fewer links. For larger, sports watches, the bracelets have enough links so that they fit most wrists. It is unusual that people have so large wrists that they need to add more links than what the bracelet has from the factory.

But how many links do Rolex bracelets come with from the factory? The answer is that it varies. It also depends on how you count, because different people may give you different answers concerning the same watch. Below you can find how many links a Rolex watch comes with from the factory.

Rolex Bracelet links – How many links do different Rolex bracelets have?

Below, we have compiled a list of the most common Rolex models and the total of links they come with from the factory. Note that the total number of links indicates the number of standard links (fixed and removable) and not half-links, end links, Easylinks, etc.

Note that exact same models but with different metals (gold, steel, gold & steel, etc.) have the same number of bracelets on the links, only that the bracelet is made in a different material. A 126234 has, for example, the exact same number of links as a 126233 or a 126231.

How many links does a Rolex bracelet come with?

On Oyster bracelets, It varies from 11 to 15 links, but a vast majority have 12.

Professional models from Rolex come with 12 links plus the end link and either EasyLink extension system . These Rolex bracelets have 4 fixed links on each side, which are links you cannot remove. You can see which links are removable by looking at the side of the links. The removable links have a head screw in the link. The end link is a half link, and whilst some people count this as a link, it’s officially not. This is primarily what can cause some confusion, as some people will then say that a Rolex comes with 13 links.

There are, however, exceptions to this rule as not all oyster bracelets have 12 links. Some Oyster bracelets such as the Oyster bracelet reference 78360 have 13 links which is due to the fact that the clasp is shorter.

The Rolex Oysterquartz, on the other hand, has 13 links.

How many links does Rolex Submariner have?

The new 2020 Rolex Submariner (regardless of material): 124060, 126610LN, 126610LV, 126613LB, 126613LN, 126618LN, 126618LB, 126619LB have 11 and a half links on the bracelet. This means that Rolex has removed one link and replaced it with a half link compared to the previous Submariner reference.

How many links to Jubilee bracelets have?

So how many links do Jubilee bracelets have?

Jubilee bracelets have 22 links, not factoring in the end links.

How do you count the end links?

Note that you should not count the end links. Furthermore, you should not count the extension clasp ( Glidelock or Easylink), nor the half-link).

Below you can see an example of how you should count the links:

Hello, Thank you for a great article. May I ask, how many links would a Yacht Master 11662 bracelet would come with because I just bought one and the bracelet is very small? Thank you, Clive

Hi, Are you referring to 16622 or 116622?

Either way, the 16622 has a total of 11 normal links. The 116622 has a total of 12 normal links.

In counting the 12 links that are to come with the Explorer II 226570, is the “end link” you reference (which is not to be counted) the first actual “link” that swings, or is the “end link” the edge of the fabricated case that looks like a link? Please confirm/advise. Thank you!

Hi, By end links, we mean the final links that are mounted against the case. Neither the end links nor the Easylink is counted, only the “standard” links”.

The Rolex Yacht-Master II Reference 116681

Rolex Yachtmaster II 116681

2007 was the year Rolex proved that it could only be taunted so much by detractors for the lack of complications in its lineup before it would come out swinging. It has long been the anti-Rolex league’s favorite go-to criticism, holding up the Swiss giant’s catalog of ruggedly simple, almost minimalist, three-hand watches and sneeringly comparing them to the overtly functional pieces from the likes of Patek Philippe or Vacheron Constantin. Did Rolex lack the imagination to compete with the sky charts and moonphases of other watchmakers? Or was it the technical prowess it was missing? Rolex took it with its usual granite stoicism for decades, with the modesty of the Day-Date’s dual calendar or the Daytona’s chronograph seemingly as extravagant as it was prepared to go. Then, the iconic Swiss watch manufacturer released the Rolex Yacht-Master II series.

Vastly different from the original and less complex Yacht-Master, the Rolex Yacht Master II is a vibrant behemoth that contains one of the most technically impressive complications ever made. As a product, it could also serve as the dictionary definition of the word “niche.” Powered by a new caliber that required more than 35,000 hours to devise, the result was a watch that’s sole purpose was to help yacht skippers coordinate the starting procedure of a sailing regatta. The first models of the collection were available in either yellow or white gold. Then In 2011, the Yacht master II ref. 116681 appeared, which is a striking Rolesor variant that blends tough 904L stainless steel with precious 18k Everose gold. If you’re into big watches that make a bold statement on the wrist, then keep reading for everything you need to know about the Rolex Yacht-Master II 116681

Rolex Yacht-Master II Everose Gold 116681

Everose Rolesor Yacht Master II Design

While the styles of the Yacht-Master II watches have split opinions and are a world away from the handsome elegance that has been the Rolex hallmark for over 100 years, this technical yet luxurious sports watch has won plenty of fans. Its concept and sheer audacity have also silenced many of the brand’s critics and Rolex has proved that, should it decide to mix it up in the world of complications, it can compete with the best of them.

As mentioned, the first two Rolex Yacht Master II models that debuted in 2007 were in yellow gold (ref. 116688) and white gold (ref. 116689, which was discontinued in 2022). Five years later, Rolex unveiled the Yacht-Master II ref. 116681 as the two-tone Everose gold and stainless steel variant. The combination of the two metals, the bright blue bezel (crafted from Rolex’s ceramic alloy, Cerachrom), and the flashy dial is certainly not the subtlest of Rolex watches, but somehow, the Yacht-Master II 116681 just works.

The Everose gold elements – on the bezel numerals, crown, pushers, snailing around the seconds sub-dial, and center links of the sporty Oyster bracelet – soften some of the brashness of the all-steel or yellow gold versions. As a variant, it’s a definite eye-catcher. It has retained its rather graceful proportions, especially for such a large piece and one that crams in so much functionality. The 44mm case (the biggest case size in the Rolex fleet that’s only shared by the Deepsea) affords a large surface area for the dial designers to play with. And it’s just as well. There is a lot of information displayed on the watch’s face, but the logical placement of each element gives it legible readability.

At the top is a horseshoe-shaped track numbered to ten. The starting gun in a regatta is preceded by a warning signal, often either five or ten minutes beforehand. It informs participants the countdown has begun, and the Yacht-Master II’s curved gauge is there to precisely time the flying start – the long dagger-like hand marks the countdown seconds while the small red arrow-tipped hand displays the countdown minutes.

However, the clever part comes should our yacht skipper need to reset the countdown for any reason. The watch is the first in the world to feature a mechanical memory with both flyback and fly-forward functionality, and it allows the regatta timer to reset to synchronize with the official race timer – either forwards or backwards to the nearest minute. Therefore, should the countdown have been triggered too early or too late, it’s a simple step to bring it back in line.

Rolex Yacht-Master II Dial Update

On the occasion of the 10th anniversary of the Yacht-Master II, Rolex rolled out redesigned dials across the entire collection – including, of course, the Yacht-Master II ref. 116681. So what changed?

First, Rolex replaced the original straight hands with a Mercedes handset, which is much more common across the brand’s sports watches. Also, the hands of the Yacht Master II 116681 went from a dark blue to Everose gold – a nice touch to match the rest of the pink-toned details of the watch. Another dial update that occurred to bring the face of the Yacht-Master II more in line with Rolex’s other sports watches concerns the shape of the hour markers.

Earlier models featured square lume-filled indexes for each hour. However, after the 2017 dial redesign, Yacht-Master II watches now included an inverted triangle and a rectangle at 12 and 6, respectively. Naturally, since the Yacht-Master II 116681 is an Everose Rolesor edition, the hour markers feature Everose gold surrounds.

Two-Tone Rolex Everose Yacht-Master II 116681 Rolesor

Yacht-Master II Ring Command Bezel and In-House Caliber

The key to the impressive functionality of the Rolex Yachtmaster II lies in the model’s most conspicuous component: the bright blue Cerachrom bezel with its oversized, pink golden numerals. More than simply being the watch’s border, the bezel is central to its overall operation.

Directly linked to the internal movement, the Ring Command Bezel, to give it its proper title, unlocks the programmable actions of the watch by rotating it counter-clockwise through 90 degrees. With the bezel activated, the crown can be used to set the countdown duration and the two pushers at the two and four o’clock positions start and stop the chronograph and work the flyback function. It sounds like a convoluted affair, but in reality, there is a beautifully designed intuitiveness to getting the most out of the Yacht-Master II.

The Rolex engineers have pared down the process as much as possible, while still retaining all the necessary performance. Underneath everything lies the movement. The original references were released with the Cal. 4160, a heavily reworked version of the Daytona’s Cal. 4130, complete with the vertical clutch that eliminates backlash on the chronograph seconds hand.

By 2013, Rolex had perfected the purpose-built Cal. 4161 specifically for the Yacht-Master II. At the time, it was the company’s most component-heavy movement to date, and the Caliber 4161 is constructed from 360 separate parts. As well as the improved accuracy and shock resistance provided by including Rolex’s proprietary Parachrom hairspring, the 31-jewel, high-beat movement also has a power reserve of 72 hours.

Rolex Yacht-Master II 116681 Two-Tone Everose Regatta Timer

Over A Decade of the Rolex 116681 Yacht-Master II

The Rolex Yacht-Master II ref. 116681 has been a part of the brand’s catalog for over a decade now. Despite the movement update in 2013 to the Caliber 4131 and the dial update that occurred in 2017, Rolex has retained the same reference number since this two-tone variant’s release in 2011. And that’s quite curious given that Rolex has allocated new reference numbers to other watch models that have undergone much more subtle updates. Rolex truly works in mysterious ways!

It’s also interesting to note that in 2022, Rolex discontinued the white gold and platinum Yacht-Master II ref. 116689, which brings the Yacht-Master II lineup down from four references to only three. Perhaps the end of the Rolex Yacht-Master II ref. 116681 is near? Though we don’t wish for that to happen, it’s not uncommon for the modern-day Rolex to replace models after about a decade (or less) of production.

While the Rolex Yacht-Master II 116681 has an undeniable heft and is ultra-luxurious, it can easily be worn all day. Its watertight Oyster case ensures it’s more than a match for the rigors of life on the ocean and its robust self-winding movement is top-notch. As a skipper’s watch, this Rolex Yacht-Master II is in a class all its own. But even if you don’t sail competitively and only ever use the watch’s innovative timing function in the kitchen (if at all,) the steel and Everose gold Yacht-Master II ref. 116681 is a head-turning luxury sports watch that’s unlike any other in Rolex’s lineup.

Whether you’re looking to invest in a luxury timepiece or expand an existing collection, the Rolex Yacht-Master II represents a pinnacle of horological craftsmanship, a tangible asset that surpasses time and trends. Read on to learn all there is to know about the Rolex Yacht-Master II. <> <>

A Brief History of the Rolex Yacht-Master II

The Rolex Yacht-Master II , introduced in 2007, marked a significant evolution in Rolex’s line of luxury watches, diverging from the brand’s typically conservative design ethos. It was a striking departure from its predecessor, the Yacht-Master, representing a bold new direction in both aesthetics and functionality.

Rolex Yacht-Master II with Yacht-Master Models

The original models of the Yacht-Master II were the 18k yellow gold ref 116688 and the even more luxurious 18k white gold version with a platinum bezel, ref 116689. These models showcased a large, eye-catching design that was an immediate topic of debate among watch enthusiasts. While some admired its noticeable presence, others viewed it as a deviation from Rolex’s traditional design roots.

Rolex Yacht-Master II Steel Everose Gold

Responding to the changing economic landscape following the 2008 financial crash, Rolex expanded the Yacht-Master II collection in 2011 with the introduction of the ref. 116681, a more affordable Everose Rolesor model. This model featured a stainless steel case and outer bracelet links combined with an Everose gold winding crown, pushers, and central bracelet links. The collection further broadened its appeal in 2013 with the introduction of the all-steel version, ref. 116680, which also debuted a new caliber, the Cal. 4161, replacing the former Cal. 4160.

Rolex Cerachrom Bezel Watches - Yachtmaster II, Daytona, GMT-Master II

The only notable design update since its launch occurred in 2017, on the watch’s tenth anniversary. This update included changes to the hour markers and hands, namely the blue hour marker surrounds replaced with white gold, the 12 o’clock marker changed to an inverted triangle, and a taller marker at 6 o’clock. These changes aligned the Yacht-Master II more closely with the rest of Rolex’s Professional Collection, yet the changes were subtle enough that Rolex did not assign a new reference number.

Throughout its history, the Rolex Yacht-Master II has been distinguished by its unique regatta timer function, a testament to Rolex’s commitment to innovative and functional design. This feature, along with its distinctive aesthetic, has made the Yacht-Master II a popular, though somewhat polarizing, model among collectors and luxury watch enthusiasts.

Models from 2007 to 2013 use the Caliber 4160. In 2013, with the introduction of the stainless steel model, the Caliber 4161 was given additional refinements such as a crisper feel to the pushers and greater reliability. Both movements possess the blue Parachrom hairspring that protects the movement from shocks and offer 72 hours of power reserve.

Roger Federer Just Rocked One of Rolex’s Coolest Sports Watches

yacht master 2 links

By Oren Hartov

Image may contain Wristwatch Arm Body Part Person Accessories Glasses Formal Wear Tie and Adult

Earlier this week, at the New York premiere of his new documentary Federer: Twelve Final Days , tennis icon and Rolex testimonee Roger Federer strapped on the Yacht-Master II ref. 226627—a watch so lightweight that I feared, upon first handling it in Geneva last year, that I might crush it, thus owing Rolex corporate headquarters a check for $14,050 (plus tax).

The ref. 226627 was not Rolex’s first titanium watch—that distinction belongs to the 50mm-wise Deepsea Challenge , which was seemingly designed for James Cameron to wear while plumbing the depths of the Atlantic for sunken ocean liners. The Yacht-Master II, on the other hand, is arguably more exciting: Measuring a more comfortable 42mm wide, it was first spotted on the wrist of skipper (and fellow Rolex testimonee) Sir Ben Aislney back in the fall of 2021. No longer a prototype and now a full production model, it’s crafted from Grade 5 RLX titanium and is available for purchase. ( Theoretically, at least. )

Roger Federer attends the Federer Twelve Final Days Premiere during the 2024 Tribeca Festival

What makes this Submariner-esque watch different from, well, a Submariner ? The two are admittedly similar in design, with a few key differences: There’s the RXL titanium case, of course, but then there’s also the 42mm sizing (as opposed to 41mm on the Sub); a bidirectional timing bezel with a sand-blasted Cerachrom insert (instead of the Sub’s unidirectional dive bezel); the date window (which is only seen on Submariner Date models); and the matching, RLX titanium Oyster bracelet with Oysterlock folding clasp and Easylink comfort extension. (The Sub doesn’t have an available titanium bracelet.)

Other than that, both the Submariner Date and the Yacht-Master II are powered by Rolex’s automatic Calibre 3235 movement with 70 hours of power reserve, and both are made for aquatic use. The Sub, however, is a diver’s watch rated to 300m of water resistance; the Yacht-Master II, on the other hand, is made for sailing and is water resistant to 100m—still respectable, to be sure, but best kept to the deck of a cutting-edge racing craft.

Seeing the Yacht-Master II on Federer’s wrist is more fun than notable—it looks perfectly at home when paired with his dark suit at the photocall, though it's a distinctly sporty piece made to be used and abused. Being a Rolex testimonee, of course, Federer has been spotted in just about every notable Crown offering over the past few years, from the Le Mans Daytona to the Sky-Dweller in precious metals and more. (The man pulls off a dressy 1908 with black tie beautifully, but let’s be real—this is a brand famed for its sport watches, and we’re talking about one of the world’s most renowned athletes.) Having cycled through many of the brand’s most compelling offerings, the only remaining pertinent question is: How do we get Fed into a “Leopard” Daytona ?

Yacht Club of Monaco’s traditional summer cocktail attended by Prince Albert II

Prince-Albert-II-speech-cocktail-YCM

The 2,500 members of the Monaco Yacht Club got together on Monday for a very special cocktail party.

“Today our premises are much more than just a building, they embody our commitment to excellence, innovation, and the preservation of our marine environment. The club is now a vibrant meeting place for our 2,500 members, encouraging them to get together and share their passion for the sea. It symbolises our determination to remain at the cutting edge of yachting while staying true to our fundamental values (…)” Prince Albert II declared.

Princess Caroline of Monaco and her son, Pierre Casiraghi, also came to support the Sovereign at the special event.

yacht master 2 links

How to join the Yacht Club

Very selective, Monaco’s Yacht Club is reserved for a clientele that has a passion for sailing and the nautical world in general. There is a member application process. Applicants must first be nominated by two sponsors who have been members of the YCM for over a year.

Once the application is sent to the Members Department, it will be examined by an admissions committee chaired by Prince Albert II. If accepted, the new member is officially inducted at a cocktail party attended by all YCM members.

The role of sponsor is not to be taken lightly as it involves, among other things, integrating the new member into the life of the club and introducing them to the other members.

Oyster Perpetual

Yacht-Master

Staying on course, mapping invisible routes.

For those at sea, staying on course is a constant challenge. When dealing with the elements, nothing is certain and constant reaction is required to stay in the right direction. Since its launch in 1992, the Oyster Perpetual Yacht-Master has been equipped with a bidirectional rotatable bezel that facilitates the calculation and reading of navigational time. Elegantly combining functionality and nautical style, this watch has made its mark well beyond its professional realm.

A shared quest for precision

Knowing where you are in space and time, setting a course and sticking to it are vital in navigation. Given its function, the watch is an essential tool for sailors to assess their position. Regarded as the most precise horological instruments in the world, marine chronometers have been certified by astronomical observatories since the 18th century. At the time, the ultimate authority for measuring chronometric precision was the Kew Observatory in Great Britain.

In 1914, the founder of Rolex, Hans Wilsdorf, had one of the brand’s watches tested by this very observatory, which certified it as a chronometer: a first in the watchmaking world for a wristwatch. Since then, renowned sailors, such as Sir Francis Chichester and Bernard Moitessier, have navigated the seas with Rolex wristwatches serving as onboard chronometers.

Matching the precision of marine chronometers was fundamental to Rolex’s watchmaking.

Designed for navigators

Sailing occupies a special place in the world of Rolex. In 1958, the brand partnered the New York Yacht Club, creator of the legendary America’s Cup. Rolex then formed partnerships with several prestigious yacht clubs around the world and became associated with major nautical events – offshore races and coastal regattas.

These strong ties culminated in 1992 with the launch of the Yacht-Master. Boasting the robustness and waterproofness of our Oyster case, this chronometer is fitted with a bidirectional bezel with raised 60-minute graduations to enable navigational time to be calculated and read.

Precious on land and at sea

Available in three diameters – 37, 40 and 42 mm – and in various precious versions – 18 ct yellow, white and Everose gold – as well as in Everose Rolesor and Rolesium versions, the Yacht-Master is unique in the world of Rolex professional watches. An elegant watch with a sporty character, it was the first to be paired with an Oysterflex bracelet in 2015.

In 2023, after testing under real-life conditions by acclaimed helmsman Sir Ben Ainslie, Rolex launched a new version of the Yacht-Master 42. It is made of RLX titanium, a high-performance material, at once light, robust and corrosion resistant.

A veritable ally at sea, the Yacht-Master also elegantly adorns the wrists of navigators once back on solid ground. With many different versions, it is a model that transcends its seafaring origins. It has become a watch for those who know how to change course without losing sight of the horizon, moving freely.

Mother, father arrested after 2-year-old daughter drowns in pond

HAMLIN, W.Va. ( WSAZ /Gray News) - A mother and a father in West Virginia are facing charges after two children fell into a pond with one of them dying.

According to West Virginia State Police, Tara Adkins, 24, and Jack Parsons, Jr., 30, were arrested this week and charged with child neglect resulting in death and child neglect creating risk of injury.

Troopers said they were called Wednesday evening about a possible drowning at a farm pond in the Hamlin area.

A 2-year-old girl and a 3-year-old boy were reportedly found in the pond.

The children were taken to a nearby hospital, but the girl was pronounced dead while the boy remained hospitalized.

According to a criminal complaint, Parsons told emergency crews he was outside performing yard work when the children had come outside with him.

He said he thought the two children had gone inside the home until Adkins came outside asking where the children were.

Travis scott’s hilarious two-word response to miami cops revealed after disorderly intoxication arrest.

Travis Scott Takes Miami.

Before the “Sicko Mode” rapper’s arrest for disorderly intoxication on Thursday morning, he allegedly tried to explain his behavior by saying, “It’s Miami.”

Scott made the hilarious quip after cops interrogated him about whether he’d been drinking that night, according to the affidavit obtained by the Daily Mail.

Travis Scott

Despite his run-in with the law, the rapper assured fans on X that the European leg of his “Circus Maximus” tour will resume without a hitch next Friday.

“6 days to circus Maximus tour,” he wrote. “For the record I’m going. Ham.”

He also seemingly trolled his arrest by sharing a photoshopped image of his mugshot with wire headphones and sunglasses on.

“lol,” he tweeted shortly after the news broke.

Ten Miami Beach officers were called to the marina shortly after 1 a.m. amid reports of “fighting” when a yacht owner reportedly asked Scott to get off his boat.

When they arrived at the scene, officers reportedly found Scott, 33, “disturbing the peace” by “yelling” at people and “behaving erratically.”

Police said there was “a strong smell of alcohol” on the rapper’s breath and he continued “yelling obscenities” at the people on the boat as they tried to coral him back to his waiting vehicle.

Travis Scott

However, the “Astroworld” rapper allegedly refused to comply with police and was taken into custody for two misdemeanors: disorderly intoxication and trespassing.

The ordeal seemingly took a few hours as Scott, whose real name is Jacques Webster, wasn’t booked at the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center until 4:35 a.m.

After taking a glossy-eyed mugshot, the rapper posted his $650 bail and was released.

Despite reports of a fight, a source familiar with the case told us that “there was no physical altercation with anyone.”

Travis Scott

“This was a rowdy party, and Travis was already bailed out for a few hundred dollars. He is already home,” they said. “There will be no further action to be taken, as it was a minor incident akin to receiving a ticket with no injuries.”

While a rep for the Miami-Dade Police Department did not respond to Page Six’s request for comment, they told local TV station  WSVN  that Scott was “drunk, causing a disturbance and asked to leave multiple times” before they showed up.

Scott — who shares two kids with Kylie Jenner — “became irate, screaming profanities, left and returned to disturb some more,” they claimed.

Factors Affecting Cost

Buying a yacht in Russia is a rather time-consuming and lengthy process that requires the participation of professional yacht brokers. Depending on the condition of the vessel, the year of manufacture, the quality of its equipment, class and size, the acquisition cost can vary greatly. There are several indicators on which the cost of buying a yacht will depend :

  • Manufacturer, or shipyard - the most famous manufacturers with expensive products are concentrated mainly in European countries, and the most budget yachts are assembled in shipyards of the countries of Asia and the Middle East;
  • Equipment - sometimes the internal filling is made to order, and in some cases it is standard equipment with less power, comfort, speed, etc. In this regard, the cost of ships even from one manufacturer can vary greatly;
  • Ship design;
  • The age of the yacht.

Also, sailing yachts for sale in Russia cost the buyer less than similar motor lengths, but yachts with a history do not always cost less than recently launched ones. Often, the previous owners are engaged in the modernization of the vessel, installing expensive additional equipment on it or customizing the yacht - in this case, the price for it increases significantly. And sailing yachts often participate in regattas, where they can take prizes and eventually acquire a name - this also leads to a rise in the cost of the vessel.

Note that the cost of a yacht in Russia will be significantly different depending on the length of the vessel. You can always check the final cost of the vessel with a yacht broker, and since this market is very lively, the price can change even during the time during which you pick up a yacht.

You can find out the price of the selected vessel and its technical parameters in our catalog, and you can leave a request for purchase directly on the website, online.
