Monaco Yacht Show 2024: 30,000 Visitors, Luxury and Sustainable Innovation
by Natalia Bezruk Senior Contributor
The 33rd Monaco Yacht Show made a remarkable impact this year, drawing close to 30,000 visitors, including yacht owners, potential buyers, charter clients, and industry experts to Port Hercule from September 25 to 28, 2024. This year’s edition presented an impressive fleet of 120 superyachts, with over half being under two years old. Among them were 46 vessels making their global debut, along with 15 that had launched in 2023.
This year’s show was specially designed to create a more immersive and refined experience for visitors. The Parvis Piscine tent and the Upper Deck Lounge, dedicated to luxurious and bespoke interior design, were a hub for visitors looking to elevate their on-board living spaces. Meanwhile, Quai Albert 1er and Darse Sud hosted the Sustainability Hub, focusing on cutting-edge technology and eco-conscious solutions.
On the opening day, private clients had exclusive access to the Dockside Area, home to the superyacht display as well as the Yacht Design & Innovation Hub, allowing them to connect with designers and industry professionals in a more intimate setting. In addition, the leisure section on Quai Antoine 1er and Quai Jarlan showcased luxury vehicles and 61 different yacht annexes, broadening the lifestyle appeal of the show.
Sustainability was at the forefront of the event, as the 554 participating companies reaffirmed their dedication to reducing the environmental impact of the yachting lifestyle. Through 22 insightful conferences, co-organized with Superyacht Times and exhibitors, the industry explored critical topics such as alternative propulsion systems, sustainable material usage, integrating artificial intelligence, and creating yachts with distinct, eco-friendly brand identities.
Beyond the displays and talks, the Monaco Yacht Show took extra steps toward environmental responsibility by optimizing energy usage, improving waste management, and reducing transportation emissions. These efforts underscore a growing commitment within the yachting world to harmonize luxury with environmental stewardship.
Looking ahead, the 34th edition of the Monaco Yacht Show will return to Port Hercule from September 24 to 27, 2025, promising another opportunity to witness the convergence of luxury and innovation in yachting.

Monaco Yacht Show 2024
Monte-Carlo showcased the biggest & best superyachts in the world.
Attending the annual Monaco Yacht Show is a ritual saved for the richest moguls from around the world as well as those lucky enough to get one of the pricey admission tickets or guest badges. This year’s show did not disappoint with over 120 superyachts , including around 20 that measure over 200 feet (60 meters) and a hybrid yacht that runs on methanol. Additionally, there were 53 superyachts at anchor in the Bay of Monaco and 60 luxury tenders in the Dockside Area. There was even the biggest superyacht ever to be showcased in Port Hercule Harbor for the 2024 edition. Also, a few of the most expensive charters ever were there for worthy visitors to view. The yachting world elite came, conquered and partied along the way.
The Monaco Yacht Show superstars are the superyachts packed liked sardines in Port Hercule. In addition to all the magnificent motor yachts, there was a dedicated Sailing Yacht Area . There was also plenty to see and do ashore. From the Sustainability Hub to the Design & Innovation Hub to the Adventure Area , there was something for everyone. However, only the super privileged were awarded appointments to cross the gangplanks and come aboard some of these gorgeous floating fortresses.
When the sun set, plenty of champagne bottles were popping and rose wine glasses clinking. Many Happy Hours were hosted at yacht broker booths or aboard superyachts. But the biggest, splashiest parties were staged inside the prestigious Yacht Club de Monaco , an impressive structure that looks like a multi-liered wedding cake. Nammos Beach Club brand did it again with another slamming music party filled with a younger generation of future yacht owners while Omniyat, a Dubai real estate company hosted another night’s party. Lürssen closed the show out as usual with their theme party which is always the toughest ticket in town.
Yacht builders
Of course, the Germans and Dutch are veterans in the superyacht world along with the Italians who always do it with style. The Turkish and Polish are making big inroads into the superyacht industry as well. And this year a Spanish shipyard made a superyacht debut.
Here are just a few of the standout superyachts displayed at the Monaco Yacht Show 2024, including some of the biggest and most expensive.
The biggest yachts
Golden Odyssey by Lürssen, 123m (404ft)
At 123 meters (404 feet) with gross tonnage of 7.690, Golden Odyssey claimed the title for the largest and longest yacht ever to be display at the Monaco Yacht Show. She was commissioned by Prince Khalid of Saudi Arabia with exterior design by Martin Francis and interiors by Alberto Pinto . The standout feature is the owner’s private deck with two master suites, spa & wellness center, Hamman and private terrace with dining and lounging spaces plus a jacuzzi.
Kismet by Lürssen, 121.9m (400ft)
Kismet was not only the second largest yacht at the show, but notably one of the most expensive charters in the world at $3 million+ per week. She was delivered to owner, Shahid Khan in May 2024 with exteriors by Nuvolari Lenard and interiors by Reymond Langton. Kismet comes complete with a helipad, beauty salon, indoor and outdoor cinema, dance floor and gym.
Renaissance by Freira, 111.9m (367ft)
Renaissance is both the largest private yacht built in Spain and one of the most world’s most expensive charters at $3 million+ per week. It is a huge accomplishment for Freira, a commercial shipyard that has built only one other private yacht in its history. Bannenberg design dynasty was behind the project. It has one deck dedicated to the owner and another to wellness with a sauna, ballet bar and large gym decked out with an equipment list long enough for elite athletes.
Special One by Royal Huisman, 52.1m (171ft)
Special One is the world’s largest sportfisherman yacht that comes with a fighting chair, 22 fishing rods, insulated cooler boxes, and a bait-and-tackle room. It was commissioned by an experienced and passionate fisherman/yachtsman.
Others in the biggest category included: Loon, Catex, Kasper 7, JAS, Resilience, Lioness V, Sealion, Queen Mavia, Lemon Tree, Lady Kathyrn V, Entourage.
The most expensive yachts
Dar by Oceanco 90m (295.2 ft)
Dar tops the list at Monaco Yacht Show as the most expensive offered at 208 million euros ($226.87). Award-winning Dar designed by Luiz De Basto has a nautical theme inspired by a hammerhead shark with a mast modeled after a dorsal fin plus inside a school of fish made from Venetian plaster. She is also known for extensive use of glass throughout.
Energy by Amels, 77.8m (255.2ft)
Energy comes in second place in price at 199 million euros ($217.86) designed by naval architect Espen Oino and interior designer Francois Zuretti . Accommodating 14 guests, it has a pool, large gym, beach club, spa and glass elevator. So far, she has only been used privately by the owner.
Rounding out the list of most expensive at the Monaco Yacht Show 2024 were: Golden Odyssey, Amaryllis, Planet Nine, Moonstone, Lemon Tree, Loon, Lioness V, Kahalan, Serenissima, Queen Mavia, Fidelis, Aifer, Dragonfly, Black Legend, Sanam, Club M.
Other notable yachts
Seawolf X by Rossinavi, 42.7m (140ft)
This is Rossinavi’s most ambitious build so far. This hybrid-electric catamaran is their first multihull, capable of transatlantic voyages for 80 percent of the time. Rossinavi AI is incorporated onboard that can magically predict the needs of guests, optimize crew services as well as analyze the vessel operations. Fulvio De Simoni Yacht Design did the exteriors and Meyer Davis did the interiors.
Eternal Spark by Bilgin, 50m (164ft)
The world premiere for Eternal Spark from Turkish shipyard, Bilgin was at the Monaco Yacht Show 2024. It is their first hull in Bilgin’s 163 series. Unique Yacht Designs designed the exteriors and Hot Lab the interiors. It was built with over 200 different materials showcasing the advancements of this talented Turkish shipyard. Eternal Spark has now entered the market as one of the finest charters available globally accommodating 12 guests. It comes complete with all the necessities like a huge beach club, sauna, pool, indoor and outdoor cinemas, plus six outdoor and 3 indoor areas for socializing and entertaining, all packaged in a gorgeous finished product. It charters for just under $400,000 per week plus expenses.
Extra Time by Conrad, 44.5m (145.9ft)
From her April 2024 christening in Gdansk, Poland to her summer along the Cote d’Azur, Extra Time has made its owner happy enjoying “extra time.” This is the second in Conrad Shipyard’s C1445 series following in the footsteps of successful predecessor, ACE. Extra Time along with ACE are the largest private yachts built entirely in Poland, solidifying the country’s growing position in the superyacht world. Raymond Langton Design and Diana Yacht Design did the exteriors and m2 atelier did the interiors with the philosophy ‘less is enough.’ There are the usual luxe amenities like a beach club, four guest lounge areas, a cinema, two bars and an infinity pool. She is now being offered for charter from about $264,000 to $313,000 per week plus expenses.
DreamCatcher by Nautor Swan, 28.27m (92.7ft)
This sailing yacht built in Finland in 2024, DreamCatcher is Nautor Swan’s first hybrid yacht with exterior by Swan designer, German Frers and interiors by Misa Poggi. She can accommodate eight guests in four staterooms and has a large beach club, sunset lounge and tender garage. She is one of two in the 88 series.
Finally, come Saturday, 6pm or 18:00 hour, all the superyachts collectively blew their horns signifying the end of the show in marine orchestral fashion. For now, we say au revoir, until September 24 to 27, 2025, when the best of the best superyachts are invited back to show off in Port Hercule . Thanks again to HRH Prince Albert II of Monaco for hosting us all.
