Celebrating 200 years of the RNLI - Salcombe Field of Lights.

Salcombe Field  of  Light ~ Celebrating 200 years of the RNLI. October 5, 2024 - January 10, 2025   A public art installation covering over 35,000 square metres of fields opposite Salcombe on the banks of the estuary, Salcombe Field of Light will feature an array of 20,000 lowlight, fibre-optic stemmed spheres that will illuminate with a slow subtle change of hue. Autumn Series Race 3 - Fast Handicap

Despite coinciding with one of the lowest tides of the year, an impressive fleet of 14 double-handers lined up for Race 3 of the Autumn Series. The challenging tidal conditions left Race Officer Simon Ballantine with limited course options, and he ultimately set a course of 3-1-3-1-3-1-3-2. SYC Cruiser Regatta 2024

The cruiser regatta this year consisted of the passage race to the Skerries buoy at the Eastern end of the Skerries bank and back on Saturday followed by racing in the range on the Sunday with a beach BBQ on the Saturday Evening.
