- Weather has you holed up in Maine and you need to get back to New York for work? You want to take a week cruise, but don't want to spend half your vacation time back tracking to where you've already been? Call us and we will get your boat back to your home port in the next feasible weather window.
- We can also provide personalized instruction in any areas you feel you need help in: boat handling and operation, docking and anchoring, navigation w/ electronics, engine and system maintenance.

Need your boat down in Florida or the Bahama's in time for the winter Holiday's? Looking to have your sailboat down in the Caribbean after hurricane season has finished? Our captains and crew have the years of experience to get it there quickly and safely. Reach out to us months ahead of time so we can be sure that we can have the boat ready when the time is right. Yacht deliveries such as these require many hours of preparation to ensure that everything runs smooth. Industry Partnerships
We specialize in management, logistics, and operation of your yacht. Any work that is out of our realm of expertise will be subcontracted by only the most qualified for the job. Engine mechanics, system engineers, electrical/electronics techs we all have very close relationships with so you can be sure that we will always get the right person for the job. To keep your expenses down we assist with the prep-work and clean up when possible so your only getting billed mechanic rates for mechanic expertise.
Our founder Tom Miller grew up boating at a very young age and has been on the water his whole life. From transatlantic deliveries to intracoastal runs, his experiences have given him knowledge in all aspects of boat operation and maintenance with safety of the boat and crew always being top priority. Tom has been a full time yacht captain, service/project manager with Hinckley Yachts, and also a yacht broker. Tom holds a US Coast Guard 500GRT Captains license.

You do not need boat insurance when renting with Boatsetter. Coverage is provided under the Peer-to-Peer Boat Rental Policy, which is underwritten by GEICO Marine Insurance Company. The policy was written from the ground up as a stand-alone recreational boat rental insurance policy covering the period of time that the boat is being rented and is available for all non-commercially insured boats.
Does Boatsetter screen renters?
Yes. We use a system called Cognito to ensure that payment information matches the renter's identity. We also require renters taking out a captained boat to be at least 18 years old and on a bareboat to be at least 25 years old.
Is listing my boat on Boatsetter free?
Yes! Listing a boat is completely free. We only take a commission when your boat is rented. We only make money when you do!
What if I'm not comfortable having a renter drive my boat?
If you are not comfortable having a renter drive your boat, we have an expansive network of licensed and experienced captains. Once your boat is listed, you can filter through our network of captains and favorite captains in your area that you would like to operate your boat.
