The blue grotto.

The stretch of coastline consists of the high calcareous cliff with fissures and grottoes covered by lush, indigenous vegetation. After passing Punta Gradola, we reach the Blue Grotto – A stunning Cave famous all around the world.

The Natural Arch

This bold Arch is what remains of a large grotto that penetrated the mountain. The waves of the sea extended its aperture and washed away its debris. After the uplifting of the island during the Paleolithic era, the grotto was freed from the erosive action of the waves and the wind and the rain transformed its surface.

Tragara faraglioni view

This charming, panoramic road leads to the eponymous Belvedere and the Faraglioni at Punta Carena and the Faro (Lighthouse). A seaside resort and landing place, this picturesque inlet situated on the west end of the island, is set in a typically Mediterranean landscape. The lighthouse, which was built over a century ago, is the second largest in Italy in terms of size and power after the one in Genoa.

There are two main towns; Capri and Anacapri, and both have their own unique charm. Capri is more cosmpolitan, and is home to nightclubs, shopping opportunities and upmarket hotels. On the other hand, Anacapri promises a peaceful alternative and a slice of rural Italian life.

For a little activity, the main town of Capri is awash with designer fashion emporiums and upscale restaurants where it's not unsual to spot famous faces.
