What should i bring on my sailing excursion.

Wear a bathing suit, clothes, and shoes that you don't mind getting wet in. Bring a hat, a long sleeve and lightweight coverup, sunscreen, water shoes, a dry change of clothes, a towel, a waterproof camera, and any food and drinks you may want. Bring your own cooler or utilize ours. Feel free to bring your own beer and white wine, keeping in mind we do not allow red wine, liquor, or glass containers aboard. We will provide waters and sodas.  If you are prone to seasickness or are unsure, check with your doctor and consider bringing an over-the-counter seasick medicine.

What can I expect from my day aboard?

Captain Art will pick you up at the dock at Snug Harbor and motor the boat out through Matanzas Pass.  Once out in the Gulf of Mexico, the sails can be raised and your sailing adventure begins! You will likely see dolphins and a variety of fish. If you're really lucky, you might see a sea turtle or manatee. Perhaps you'd like to just relax and sunbathe or maybe you'd like to learn a little about sailing. Partaking in a sailing day is a very physical thing especially when considering the sea conditions and weather factors, so participants should be physically capable and strong swimmers. Swimming is at one's own risk.

What if there's inclement weather?

The Captain will determine if weather conditions will deem the trip unsafe and/or unenjoyable. If such determination is made, the Captain will cancel and make every effort to reschedule with you. Not having enough wind to raise sail will not warrant cancelling a scheduled trip.

Is there a bathroom on board?

Yes! The "head" (that's boat lingo for "bathroom") is located at the forward part of the main cabin.

How many people can I bring? Is it kid-friendly?

The boat can comfortably fit six passengers, not including the Captain. We welcome children ages 12 and older, and minors must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.

Can I bring alcohol aboard?

Yes, you may bring beer and white wine. Due to our liability insurance, liquor is not permitted aboard. As beverages often spill while under sail, we do not permit red wine. For everyone's safely, we ask that you do not bring glass containers on the boat. We will provide water and sodas.

Do you take credit cards?

No, we do not accept credit cards at this time. We accept cash and payment through Venmo, Paypal, Cash App, and Zelle.

Our vessel and business meet all local and federal safety requirements. Each passenger is provided a life jacket and the vessel is equipped with a first-aid kit and all Coast Guard required boating safety equipment. The boat is up-to-date with all regularly scheduled maintenance. Each time the boat is used, all surfaces are fully sanitized in accordance with CDC guidelines in an effort to protect against the spread of Covid-19 and all other communicable germs. The cockpit and inside cabin of the boat have non-slip flooring, though all areas of the boat get wet and can get slippery, especially when under sail. Day sails are a 3-hour minimum for $550. Each additional hour after is $125  with trip length tailored to your wishes. These rates are per private charter for up to 6 guests. Prices are subject to change and do not include gratuity.

Do you have a bad weather cancellation policy?

Unfortunately, no refunds will be issued based on inclement weather such as cloudy skies, wind, or light rain, as the weather in the Florida is very unpredictable and changes quite rapidly.

What should i bring with me?

We provide all Coast Guard required safety gear on all of our boats as  it is not necessary to bring very much with you, however, below is a list of items we suggest you bring.

Towels, sunglasses, sunscreen, long sleeve shirt and hat for sun protection, snacks and plenty of water!

Is there a maximum capacity on each boat?

Yes, each of our boats has a limit on the number of people allowed on the boat is usually between 6-13 max by law.

Can I bring my own food or alcohol?

Yes, you sure can all types of food & drinks are welcome.

We maintain a fleet of new performance boats acquired specifically for comfortably and safely operating private day trips on ocean water. All required safety equipment is provided for your peace of mind.

Private Concierge

Many of our clients make us their first call. We are happy to recommend hotel accommodations, restaurants and local attractions such as museums, festivals and other special events that will compliment any boat trips we plan for you.

On Board Catering

Guests are always welcome and encouraged to bring food and drink aboard. We also work with select local caterers at all ports to furnish whatever suits your taste from simple sandwiches and ice tea, to hors d'oeuvre and a champaigne bar with server.

Restaurant Reservations

A recent trend for elegant entertaining is to travel by boat for a cocktail cruise, followed by dinner at your favorite waterfront dining establishment. The evening is complete with a sunset and/or moonlight cruise home. We are happy to suggest and secure reservations.

We work regularly with all of the top waterfront hotels in South Florida and are happy to suggest accommodations for guests. We provide the same special service for our clients booking overnight tours with us to ports like Key West, Ft. Lauderdale, Sarasota or Clearwater.

Our on board staff are knowledgable about local history and are anxious to share that knowledge. For avid history buffs, we can often arrange for a local museum curator to make a presentation usually for only a small donation to their organization.

Our goal is to make your trip a fabulous, fun, safe and memorable experience. The Captain is in charge of all activities during your trip including consumption of alcoholic beverages, smoking and pets. No illegal drugs are allowed on any of our boats.

Interpreter

For those foreign speaking guests not traveling with their own interpreter, we can try to provide one. Requests in advance are appreciated and recommended. For last minute trips we certainly will make our best effort to accommodate your request.

Entertaining high profile individuals, families and groups from around the world is a regular occurrence for our professional staff. We will always respect you and your groups privacy and will recommend trips and stops that will suit your need for privacy.

We try very hard to offer our clients an awesome experience with the hope they will call us every time. All prices are hourly plus fuel based on that days dock pump price. Sunrise trips are least expensive while prices increase later in the day. Overnight trips are quoted individually.

Cancellation

Once a reservation has been secured and payment made cancellations are not allowed. We have never cancelled a trip except when unacceptable weather causes a safety concern. Refunds will only be made if we are able to fill your vacancy.
