Classic Benetti motor yacht Happy Day sold
The 31.5 metre classic canoe-stern motor yacht Happy Day , has been sold in an in-house deal, with Moravia's Roy Posthuma representing the buyer and Adam Papadakis representing the seller.
Happy Day was built in steel and aluminium by Italian yard Benetti , she was delivered in 1969. In 2006 she went through a total rebuild at Mondo Marine when she was stripped back to the bare hull and received completely new engineering, engines, generators, electrics and a fresh interior by Frederic Mechiche . She was further upgraded and refreshed in 2017 and 2018, including a full repaint.
Accommodation is now for eight guests in four cabins consisting of a full beam master suite on the upper deck with a private aft deck, a full beam VIP suite below deck, a double and a twin, all with entertainment centres, LCD television screens and en suite bathroom facilities.
The main saloon is furnished with L-shaped settees, occasional chairs and tables, and leads into a formal dining room and a library/media room fitted with a 42-inch LCD television screen.
There is an abundance of outdoor space including a large aft deck with upholstered bench seating, a table and chairs, and a huge sun deck with loungers, sun pads and a fridge. Twin 556hp Volvo diesel engines give her a cruising speed of 12 knots.
