You wouldn't think a series about yacht crew members and their discerning guests would be as compelling to watch as it is but here we are with Below Deck , the Bravo reality show 10 seasons deep with multiple spin-off series.

The American series first premiered back in 2013 but with its more recent releases on Hayu , E4 and Netflix , more and more fans are discovering the oceanside wonders of the show for themselves.

The premise is simple: we follow the "yachties" as they work either as "stews" (stewards or stewardesses) and deck hands, with one chef, a chief stew and usually one bosun or first officer leading the team on the outside. Of course, there's also the captain of the yacht with Captain Lee Rosbach being the main face of the original series, having been the recurring captain for all seasons of Below Deck.

With Below Deck Mediterranean, Below Deck: Sailing Yacht, Below Deck Down Under and Below Deck Adventure all being successful spin-offs (and taking us to other corners of the globe for more international debacles), there's never been a better time to get stuck into the series. But where to start?

How to watch Below Deck in chronological order

It may seem like a mammoth task to get through each of the Below Deck series but something tells us that once you get to grips with the chaos, drama and comedy of the show, you'll blitz through the spin-offs in no time at all.

As for where to watch Below Deck, if you want to stream all the series in full then you can do so easily over on Hayu, which you can get on Amazon Prime Video and NOW TV for the same price, £4.99 per month, and it gets added on top of your pre-existing subscription.

Below Deck is available to stream partly over on Netflix but only certain seasons and shows are available to watch. You can stream Below Deck seasons 5 and 6 on Netflix as well as the first season of Below Deck Sailing Yacht.

UK viewers of the show are also in luck as Below Deck, Below Deck Mediterranean and Sailing Yacht have been airing on E4 with many of the episodes available to watch back on All4 .

The original series sees Captain Harold Lee Rosbach, known as Captain Lee, at the helm. He's the fierce and indomitable presence that has become the initially hard-nosed character that many fans will know is caring and funny once you get over the intimidating façade.

Having spent more than three years in the yachting industry, Captain Lee is arguably the face of the original series and while his future on the series remains uncertain amid rumours Bravo didn't ask him back for season 11, he is the sarcastic, good natured face that makes the original so fun to watch. With a changing crew of deck hands and stews, they travel to some of the world's most beautiful locations including St Lucia, the British Virgin Islands, the Bahamas and Thailand providing the perfect backdrop for the chaos that always ensues with the yacht's power hungry guests.

Below Deck Mediterranean

A bit closer to home for UK viewers, Below Deck Med sees Captain Sandy Yawn take charge, with Captain Mark Howard being at the helm for the first season. The charter season takes place in sun lit locations like Greece, Croatia, France, Spain and Malta with Captain Sandy inspiring her crew to get their hands dirty, as she often does herself.

If you go an episode without hearing the phrase "just get all the water toys out", you'll know that Sandy wasn't having a good day but with needy guests always wanting attention and the best summer holiday ever, the interior and exterior crews are pushed to their limits. With over three decades of experience in the industry, Sandy is also often championing for more women to get involved in the deckhand and captain route.

Below Deck Sailing Yacht

Unlike the other series, Sailing Yacht changes up the actual boat that the series takes place in and sees us set sail on the stunning Parsifall III. The beloved Glenn Shephard is the captain of the yacht and has been on that very yacht for 13 years. No high-end guest is too fussy for Glenn who enjoys nothing more than letting Parsifal III show off in the water and glide through the sea.

But with a smaller boat intended for sailing that can dip and swerve at completely awe inspiring angles, it often spells trouble for the interiors team that often have to rush and lock away items – or suffer the consequences of items crashing and breaking. It's always a little chaotic but it wouldn't be a Below Deck series if it wasn't.

Below Deck Down Under

Although there's only season of Down Under, it's safe to say that the series has gone down a treat with viewers who are anticipating season 2, which is slated to come to screens soon.

This series follows Captain Jason Chambers and one of the series' most beloved stewardesses, who returns as Chief Stew, Aesha Scott. Although she starred in Below Deck Med for seasons 4 and 5, the New Zealand native returns with another stripe on her lapel as their 150-foot-plus superyacht charters around Australia. Be prepared for some epic scenes of deep water diving, the Great Barrier Reef, crocodile safaris and crew conflict, of course.

Below Deck Adventure

The fourth spin-off of Below Deck sees the familiar format take to stunning fjords of Norway for sights unlike any seen in the other series. We take sail in luxury yacht Mercury and as well as discerning guests to deal with, the crew presents its fair share of squabbles and in-fighting themselves.

But the main point of the series is adventure after all so be prepared for parasailing, mountain biking, cave exploring and much more in this adventure-laced spin-off. We also get to meet a new captain in the series, Captain Kerry Titheradge who has been on boats for about 30 years, and on yachts specifically for about two decades.

A spin-off sailing reality show has dropped its anchor in Australia, and fans want to know where to watch Below Deck Down Under .

Reality TV series Below Deck follows the daily lives of crew members aboard a luxury yacht during charter season, as they work to look after their wealthy - and often demanding - guests. While the Below Deck cast might be on their best behaviour while they're on shift, things tend to get messy behind the scenes, with ill-advised relationships between crew members often forming - which have left fans of the show wondering if Paget and Ciara are still together .

The popularity of the reality show has led to a number of spin-offs, the latest being Below Deck Down Under , which takes place in Australia. The second season premiered in July 2023 and will continue until the end of August, leaving fans in the UK eager to know where they can watch it.

Is Below Deck Down Under still airing?

Below Deck Down Under season two will air until 21 August 2023, when the last episode will be released. The series premiered on 17 July 2023.

The first series of Below Deck Down Under premiered in March 2022 and wrapped up at the end of June that same year, but the Below Deck franchise has been going since 2014, when the first season of Below Deck was released. 

The series has a number of spin-offs, including Below Deck Down Under as well as Below Deck Mediterranean ,  Below Deck Sailing Yacht and  Below Deck Adventure .

There will be 11 episodes in Below Deck Down Under season two in total. This means there will be 28 episodes across both series, with 17 episodes airing for season one of the reality show. 

The only cast member who has returned for the second season of the show is Captain Jason Chambers.

Below Deck Mediterranean Producers Break the Fourth Wall in a Rare Show Moment

Below Deck Mediterranean   follows the Mustique crew as they navigate the fun and challenges of their charter season. Although the show doesn't often break the fourth wall by having the camera crews as a part of the story, there was a rare exception in Season 9, Episodes 2 and 3.

Episode 2, which aired on June 10, ended with the crew arriving back to the yacht after a night out. As Nathan Gallagher and Gael Cameron walked together, Nathan whispered, "We need to lose these cameras."

Back in their cabins, Nathan texted Gael to ask, "Where should we meet that has no cameras?" and followed up with a solution: "The starboard bow locker has no cameras Let's go there."

Gael agreed to the plan, texting Nathan, "Tell me when you are there and if you get caught."

What happened between Nathan Gallagher and Gael Cameron on Below Deck Mediterranean Season 9, Episode 3?

Episode 3 of the season kicked off with Gael running into the camera crew as she attempted to meet Nathan. A camera operator asked, "Do you need a mic?" to which Gael said, "I'm not gonna speak. I'm just getting water real quick. I'm not going to speak to anyone."

She then texted Nathan to let him know she "just got caught by the cameras" and decided not to go through with their plan. "Let's call it a night," she wrote.

In a confessional, Gael, who had a boyfriend, explained, "I'm still in a relationship, and I feel like I'm definitely having stronger feelings than I need to have in this moment. I need to go to sleep."

Gael Cameron opens up about her relationship with her boyfriend

On Episode 2, Gael talked to Aesha Scott about her relationship with her boyfriend, noting they had been together for five months.

"At the moment, our relationship is a little bit of a long shot," she said. "We're still trying to figure out the total trust factor. Like, I know he's a bit of a flirtatious person, and what happens when he's on a boat full-time with some really attractive girls?"

Aesha had some concerns, explaining, " Scott [Dobson] and I have been together for three-and-a-half years . There's not been one time I've ever been paranoid. So I just think if you're worried about each other, then surely it's not right."

Sailboat below deck has been one of Bravo’s most anticipated returning shows, but I don’t think the series is coming back – at least not too soon . After Sailboat below deck season 4 offered incredible drama, viewers have been impatiently waiting for the series to return. Through Below decks franchise, spin-offs can be hit or miss, so when Sailboat below deck did well, many were excited to see more from the established crew. In the final season of the series, the boat crew faced intense problems both personally and professionally.

Meanwhile Sailboat below deck season 4 featured an interesting iteration of the Parsifal III crew, and the season also faced some of the most intense drama the show has ever seen. Between love triangle between Daisy Kelliher, Colin MacRae and Gary King that pushed a longtime friendship to the brink of destruction, and with the drama between Gary and the other women on the sailboat, there was very little room for the usual fun. Although I believe that the show should probably go on as planned and Bravo put out some kind of disclaimer for Gary’s behavior , it’s possible that the whole thing could be reshot to remove Gary from the crew. Bravo viewers await Sailboat below deck season 5, it might be best for the network to reshoot and move on.

Below Deck has been a beloved franchise on Bravo for many years, and it has allowed viewers to see what life is like in a super yacht and everything it takes to ensure everything runs smoothly. It has become such a success that it has created many spinoffs, and every show is different. The crew on each yacht makes the boat work and succeed as it should. A good deck team is necessary for the yacht to be maneuvered and taken care of, and a good stew team is needed to ensure everything in the interior is perfect, and the guests are the main priority. Besides a good crew, the crucial piece of the puzzle is having a great captain to lead everyone to success. The captains are the ones who have chosen their crew and put their faith in them to be able to manage the yacht without them being on them constantly, since they also have to focus on navigating the yacht from different points in the sea.

Each of the five captains from the different Below Deck franchises has their way of leading, but each one has been able to finish out each charter season with many successes. It all started thanks to the "Stud of the Sea" Captain Lee Rosbach, who set an example for every captain on how to lead their crews. From the "Stud of the Sea" to the "Captain Cutie," Jason Chambers has left a mark on each of their franchises to make them better.

5 Captain Sandy Yawn

As the only female captain in all the Below Deck franchises, Captain Sandy Yawn has made her mark in viewers' eyes because of the type of captain she has been. Throughout her time on the show, she has shown she can lead all of her crew to success, but she has some faults that have not put her at the top of the list. As a woman captain, she has shown she can do anything a male has done and has even shown she could do it better. One of her most memorable moments is when she stepped in to cover for Captain Lee on Below Deck. He had been struggling with his health throughout the season, and Sandy came in to save the day and lay off some stress from Captain Lee, so he could focus on his health. Even though she showcased excellent leadership skills with her deck team, her treatment of her stews made many viewers look at her with a side-eye. While on Below Deck Mediterranean, she acted unfairly against her chief stews, specifically Hannah Ferrier . It could be seen both of them clashed every time, and her firing was not a fair assessment of all the hard work she had done for the captain. Her firing came because she had drugs on board, and Captain Sandy had to take action and ultimately fired her.

During her time as Captain, Sandy has struggled to be on the viewers' good side since Hannah's firing, and it has shown she has also struggled to find a chief stew that could last as long as Hannah did. If she were to show the same treatment she showcases with her deck team to her stews, she would be an unstoppable force. Her negative side does not come from being a woman captain, but she has shown in many instances that her work ethic can be old school and condescending towards her employees .

4 Captain Kerry Titheradge

Below deck, season 11.

Viewers met Captain Kerry Titheradge during his time on the spinoff Below Deck Adventure . Even though the show was short-lived, he made an impression on Bravo and viewers because he was invited to replace Captain Lee on the main show, Below Deck. While on Below Deck Adventure , he showed he wasn't like a regular captain who wasn't involved in all the activities with the guests. He not only made the typical dinner with guests, but he also took the lead on bringing the guests to activities like rock climbing, parasailing, and bicycle adventures during their time in Norway. Besides being an excellent and adventurous person, he has had many years of experience that have prepared him to be in his position. He has had 30 years of experience in boats, a quality shown on the Below Deck because of the precise walkthroughs he would do before any charter.

While on the main show, he also showcased how much he trusts his crew and knows he doesn't have to be overbearing for them to learn and grow . This is an excellent quality for a captain because it'll let the crew shine and have their moments to make mistakes. He doesn't let mistakes linger or leave over the head of their crew. Instead, he guides and lets them know what they could have done to improve the situation. Even though he may be more laid back, he does know when he could be taken advantage of, and he doesn't take it lightly, as was shown in Season 11 with Bosun Ben Willoughby, who disrespected the captain by not taking care of his cabin. Captain Kerry may be new to the Bravo world, but he can do anything after showing he can replace Captain Lee.

3 Captain Glenn Shephard

Below deck sailing yacht, seasons 1-4.

As one of the most different out of all the captains, Captain Glenn Shephard from Below Deck: Sailing Yacht has shown what a great leader he can be. The most significant difference between him and the other captains is his chilled-out attitude, which can connect with his crew more one-on-one. Even though there have only been three seasons of sailing yachts, Captain Glenn has shown he can pivot whenever necessary because, in this yacht, the main attraction is being able to sail, which the captain takes pride in. If the boat cannot sail, Glenn can pivot quickly and tell his crew they need to change plans for the guests.

Besides being a friendly and laid-back captain, he is also someone who doesn't involve himself with the drama that happens within the crew. He understands a separation needs to happen, and he doesn't have to be involved in everything. He has been able to build a very close relationship with his crew, which is why many of them have taken the chance to continue working with him even after the charter season is over; such is the case with lead deckhand Gary King, who has followed Captain Glenn as his deckhand since he came in on the second season of the show.

2 Captain Jason Chambers

Below deck down under, seasons 1 and 2.

Looks, charm, and a great personality?! These qualities of Captain Jason Chambers not only make him one of the most underrated Bravolebrities but also the qualities of a great captain. Viewers met him when Below Deck: Down Under premiered on Peacock, and everyone quickly fell in love with the captain. Besides being great to look at, he has shown he is a great leader by being a very hands-on captain with his crew. He constantly thinks about how to help his crew grow and become better in their jobs, but he also cares for them professionally and personally.

During Season 2 of Below Deck: Down Under, there was a situation with his bosun Luke Jones, who was getting too close with, stew Margot Sisson; things escalated, and it could be seen he was about to try to take advantage of Margot, but thankfully, production was quick during this situation on recognizing she was in danger and separated them. Captain Jason was made aware of the problem and handled it in the way a captain should handle it. He not only made sure that Luke was fired, but after holding a meeting with the crew, he made sure they all understood what consent meant and wanted his crew to feel safe, "We had an incident last night, and I want to stress that this is a place where we respect each other. Our cabin is our safety zone. That door is our boundary. That door is not to be opened unless it is consensual. To walk into someone else's room without consent indecent is my limit." He prioritizes his crew's safety. After hearing stewardess Laura Bileskalne make horrible comments about Luke's situation and making another crew member uncomfortable, Captain Jason fired her before she could make things worse on the boat. How he handled this gave him praise from his crew, and viewers' respect for him grew tenfold.

1 Captain Lee Rosbach

Below deck, seasons 1-8 and 10.

The Stud of the Sea Captain Lee Rosbach is the person who started it all and has shown how his many years in yachting have paid off because of what a great legacy he has left on Below Deck . He was the OG captain on the main show and has been through many different crew members throughout the years who have seen his work ethic firsthand. He can be a rigorous person, but by being like this, he knows how to control his crew if they start to act out a little. He also recognizes how great they can all be at work. Even though he showed he was a great captain, someone who helped him during his time on the show was Chief Stew Kate Chastain, who was his right-hand woman for many years. He helped Kate become one of the franchise's best chief stews by always being with her throughout her career, and even after she left the show, her relationship with Captain Lee grew even more. His crew also has great respect for him, and they always trust his decisions. Even though he may be strict, they know he does things for the best of the boat.

Besides being one of the most trusted captains, viewers miss the one-liners he would throw throughout the show whenever he would be frustrated. No one can forget his saying, "I'm madder than a pissed-on chicken," it may not make sense whenever he says his Captain Lee isms, but they made him a fan favorite. Captain Lee may not be on the franchise anymore, and there is a void left since he left, but he has left the franchise in good hands with all the captains that have come in after him.

‘Below Deck’ Daisy Kelliher Reveals Sister In Serious Accident

Daisy Kelliher is thankful her sister is alive after she was involved in a serious moped accident. The Below Deck Sailing Yacht star said that it is a “miracle” her sister is still here. She has opened up about the details of the accident, hoping to spread safety awareness for other travelers in the future. Keep reading to learn the details of what happened.

Below Deck Star Shares Startling Update On Her Sister

The  Below Deck Sailing Yacht star shared two separate posts on  Instagram, detailing how the accident occurred. Her sister, Bonnie, was traveling in Thailand when the accident happened and landed herself in the hospital. She needed surgery on her chest, face, and brain.

Daisy further revealed that the accident happened last Thursday, June 13. Her parents boarded a plane to Thailand the following Saturday, with the chief stew joining them this Wednesday.

Recalling how quickly everything turned wrong, Daisy wrote on  Instagram , “I…sat by her side on her 34th birthday, with the extent of her injuries it’s quite a miracle she’s alive and we all feel optimistic and positive with time she will make a full recovery.”

The  Below Deck  star continued, sharing the reason why she felt called to share the information about her sister’s accident. With her family’s permission, she wanted to make other travelers aware of problems that can arise when you choose to do something like drive a moped internationally.

“For anyone who might see this who is going on holiday or [traveling] or anything like this. Please don’t get on the moped and if you do wear a helmet and have insurance (no helmet, no insurance),” she continued in the caption. “My family [has] seen several people over the weeks be admitted and not all have been as lucky as Bonnie.”

The Family Was Alerted To Bonnie’s Condition By Local Friend

Additionally, Daisy added to be sure to “always look out for your friends.” She said that if Bonnie hadn’t met a friend in Thailand who was concerned after she didn’t come home, they might not have ever realized what happened. The friend located Bonnie in the hospital and was able to reach out to her family. “If it wasn’t for her things could have been different,” Daisy wrote.

The photos the  Below Deck  star shared with the post included the sister drinking by a pool and posing for selfies. Friends and fans flocked to the comment section to show support for Bonnie.

Fellow  Sailing Yacht star Glenn Shephard was one of the first people to comment on the post. He shared that he once lost a “close friend” in a situation that was very similar to Bonnie’s. Shephard also backed up Daisy’s calls for people to wear helmets.

“Scooters and motorcycles scare the s–t out of me, it’s usually someone else’s fault but with zero protection, it often doesn’t end well,” the captain wrote. “Stay away from them and if you have to ride one definitely with a helmet and insurance.”

Daisy shared that there is a long road to recovery for Bonnie. She is expected to stay in the hospital for another two weeks, at least. The  Below Deck  star concluded her post writing, “We hope by sharing this story it may save a life or save another person or family having to go through this. We can’t quite believe how close we were to losing her.”
