Where to go mega-yacht-spotting in Mallorca

With its prime position in the glittering Mediterranean and ever-growing popularity amongst celebrities, tech moguls and the rich and the famous, Mallorca has established a position as the port of choice for the worlds most fabulous megayachts. The island builds on its reputation and invests further in creating state-of-the-art facilities and booming service industry around them. Even if you don't yet own a magnificent boat, make sure you include a trip to one of the marinas in Mallorca to get your fix of yacht-spotting! There are over a dozen marinas in Mallorca, but three of them stand out if only super-yachts float your boat (pun very much intended!). Palma de Mallorca: Real Club Nautico & Club de Mar Palma has two neighbouring marinas located right in the heart of the city center. Real Club Nautico is the oldest and biggest marina in the Balearic Islands. It's also the one best known for hosting an annual Copa del Rey Regatta, where one of the crews is skippered by the reigning King of Spain, Felipe VI. The event takes place at the end of July - try to arrange your trip to coincide and get a glimpse of the competition. Club de Mar is just very slightly west of the Palma Cathedral and Real Club Nautico. It boasts facilities for mooring the biggest yachts, up to 135m in length (plus a waiting dock for boats up to 350m). You can expect to see the most magnificent and biggest of super-yachts here. Clients include Jeff Bezos, Steve Jobs' heirs, David Geffen, and a whole host of tech moguls, industrialists and celebrities. Both 'Clubs' are easily accessible and a perfect place for yacht-spotting - this is where the biggest boats are moored. We particularly recommend an evening walk when the boats are gloriously lit up! Puerto Portals About a 10-minute drive west of Palma is a slightly smaller, but equally exclusive Puerto Portals. It's the axis of a whole upmarket neighbourhood and very much an engine for the whole local economy. Known as the ‘millionaires’ marina', it's not just about the boats, it's a great place to spend the day. With plenty of luxury boutiques, pop-up shops (like Elizabeth Hurley's beach pop-up), lots of restaurants and bars, it's the ultimate place to see and be seen. It's also known for organising fabulous events, including an annual Christmas Market - make sure you have a look at the agenda to plan your visit. Port Adriano A little further west of Palma and Puerto Portals lies the last marina on our list. It's a fairly new addition to Mallorca, having been built in 2007. But what a spectacular addition it is! Possibly the most technologically advanced marina in the Med, it was designed by Philippe Starck. The main building was shaped to resemble a mega-yacht itself. It melts into it's surrounding, with the woodwork mirroring that on the decks of moored yachts, bollards and lighting being reflecting the design of the yachts themselves. It's a particularly great place for yacht-spotting as it can accommodate boats up to 80m long, having had the floor of the harbour dredged to create enough depth for them. Port Adriano was built to become a lifestyle axis for the neighbourhood, so you can expect plenty of shopping, dining and events. Make sure you plan a few hours to spend on your visit.

Other than the marinas, Mallorca offers plenty of places to go yacht-spotting. During the high season pretty much any cove will be speckled with a few at least. But if you'd like to make yourself more comfortable, buy a day pass in a hotel like Hospes Maricel, Nixe Palace or Pure Salt Port Adriano . Luxury mega yacht "nord" de 140 metros in mallorca.

The Luxury Yacht with a cold and elegant name "Nord" that came to Mallorca at the beginning of March is owned by Russian magnate Alexei Mordashov. The yacht is valued at over $ 500 million and has everything you can only imagine. On board this luxurious 142-meter long, 6-deck ship, up to 36 guests can be accommodated in 20 cabins and 42 crew members.

The most modern yacht in Lürssen «Nord», inaugurated at the end of February, visited Mallorca at the beginning of March, dropping anchor in Portals and then in Port Andratxy, and it left everyone amazed. And it's not for nothing ..

The Nord on board has everything: gym, elevator, swimming pool, cinema room, hangars for auxiliary boats, huge barbecue area, beach club, spa room, sauna, underwater lights and a beauty salon, large sports and fitness center. Lower deck diving, an oversized pool on the main deck, and a fleet of 14 custom boats including two modified Windy SR52 Blackbirds. He also carries a submarine for underwater explorations.

The annual maintenance of a yacht of this level according to some can range between 40 and 50 million dollars.

The luxurious, British-flagged mega-yacht 'Avantage' has just arrived in Palma from Gibraltar.

She was designed by Bannenberg & Rowell and built by the prestigious German firm Lurssen in 2020.

‘Advantage’ is 87 metres long , has five decks, a beach club with a sunbathing platform and a jacuzzi.

She visited Mallorca in her inaugural season last October, calling at Port Adriano and her return to Palma coincides with two other super yachts. Maintenance work is being carried out on the 86 metre long ‘Pacific’ and the 80 metre long ‘Yasmine of the Sea’ is docked at Club de Mar.

Access and fill in the form by clicking on the button at the end of this page. Once submitted, you will receive automatic confirmation that your details have been registered correctly. Once all information has been processed and approved, you will receive then an email confirming your press accreditation. You will be able to collect your accreditation, as well as all the information regarding the fair at the Palma International Boat Show offices from 24th April 2024 (c. Moll Vell, s/n. Palma).

Press accreditation allows you free access to the exhibition area of the show from 25th to 28th April 2024, as well as to the conferences, activities and the press room. You can also apply for accreditation at the press room offices during the Palma International Boat Show. The application form is individual. If a team is travelling to cover the show, each member of the team must complete the form independently. Anyone who enters an e-mail address in the registration form that has already been entered previously to apply for a new accreditation will be automatically rejected by the system.

Palma de Mallorca - Magaluf

After a welcome cocktail offered by the captain, we set sail for Portals Nous, one of the island’s most exclusive ports. We visit some dreamy coves like Cap de Gegant and have lunch at Es Fum, a restaurant located in the St Regis Mardavall Mallorca Resort and awarded a Michelin star. We then proceed to Nikki Beach in Magaluf and enjoy the beach and its magical atmosphere until dinner time.

Magaluf - Andratx

We have breakfast on board before exploring this charming port surrounded by hills and luxury villas. We visit hidden little beaches like Caló des Monjo or Cala Blanca and enjoy an excellent meal on board prepared by our chef. We stroll through the designer shops and art galleries lining the port of Andratx. We have dinner at Sa Clastra, awarded a Michelin star and led by Executive Chef Jordi Cantó and Maître Philip Dion.

Andratx - Sóller

We sail to the charming Port of Sóller. We have breakfast on board while enjoying views of the Tramuntana mountains. We swim in Cala Deià. We spend the day exploring this picturesque port, where we have lunch and then take the historic tram to the town of Sóller. We have dinner at the exclusive restaurant Béns d’Avall, specializing in unique, creative cuisine with Mallorcan roots, with a Michelin star and impressive views.

Sóller - Pollença

We set sail for the impressive Formentor Peninsula. After breakfast on board, we head to the paradisiacal Cala Molins and enjoy its waters. We have lunch at the renowned restaurant U Vicenç, located in an idyllic setting. We spend the afternoon swimming or snorkeling in the turquoise waters of Formentor Beach. Pollença - Alcudia

Serenity is a a 72 meter, custom-built Austal 236 mega yacht launched in 2004 by the Australian Austal shipyard. It was fully refitted in 2017, this sleek, streamlined, ultra-modern titan designed in collaboration with AskDeco and Luis de Basto Designs, has become one of the most sought-after mega yachts of its capacity of 28 guests plus 30 crew professionals will ensure the highest level of service on board.

She has multi deck features, numerous indoor and outdoor entertaining areas ideal for corporate events and party charters. A full-beam formal dining room featuring a wet bar and panoramic windows, a cinema/conference room, a full-beam salon, a full entertainment system, and a top deck social hub with a swimming pool surrounded by sun pads and cocktail areas will host the most memorable events during your charter. Then you and your guests will discover the wellness area with a spa, massage room inside and outside, a beauty salon, and the full-service fitness club to let your guest impressive all the times.

All prices require an extra 30% Advanced Provisioning Allowance (APA), which is a deposit to cover fuel and provisioning (food, drinks, etc…) costs during the stay on board. The Captain manages this fund and will have an expenses list available to the client. If the Captain sees that the deposit is running low, the client would be asked to add funds to the APA. At the end of the charter period any balance left will be refunded to the client. The bigger the yacht is, the more fuel it uses, this is why a 30% of the charter fee is required to be proportional to the expected expenses. The pictures and photos published on our website are exemplary (partly catalogue pictures) and do not necessarily represent the yacht offered. Deviations in colour, equipment and scope - as well as in the yacht descriptions and data - are possible. Yacht Experiences accepts no liability for such deviations.
