Join us on a journey as we explore the top trends, layout tips, material choices, furnishing styles, and clever storage solutions that make these floating palaces truly spectacular. Get ready to be inspired by the beauty and innovation behind crafting the perfect yacht interior!

Top trends in luxury yacht interior design

Luxury yacht interior design is constantly evolving, embracing new trends to create stunning and functional spaces that cater to the desires of discerning clients. One notable trend in yacht interiors is the use of sustainable materials, reflecting a growing awareness of environmental responsibility within the industry. Another popular trend is the incorporation of smart technology, seamlessly integrating features like automated lighting and climate control for enhanced comfort and convenience.

In terms of aesthetics, contemporary minimalism continues to be a favored style among yacht owners, with clean lines and neutral color palettes creating a sense of calm sophistication. On the other end of the spectrum, there’s also a resurgence of classic glamour in yacht design, with luxurious fabrics, ornate details, and rich textures evoking a sense of timeless elegance on board.

From innovative layouts to cutting-edge decor elements, staying ahead of these top trends ensures that luxury yacht interiors remain at the pinnacle of sophistication and style.

Material and design choices for yacht interiors

Choosing the right materials and designs for yacht interiors is crucial in creating a luxurious and stylish space that reflects your personal taste and lifestyle. From opulent marble countertops to sleek stainless steel fixtures, every detail contributes to the overall aesthetic of your yacht’s interior.

When it comes to materials, consider durable yet elegant options like teak wood flooring or leather upholstery for a timeless look. Incorporating high-quality fabrics and finishes will not only enhance the visual appeal but also ensure longevity in a marine environment.

In terms of design choices, think about maximizing natural light with large windows or incorporating innovative lighting solutions for ambiance. Selecting a color palette that complements the ocean views can create a seamless connection between indoor and outdoor spaces.

Whether you prefer modern minimalism or classic elegance, the key is to balance functionality with aesthetics to achieve an inviting and sophisticated yacht interior that suits your unique style preferences.

Popular interior styles for yacht furnishing

When it comes to interior styles for yacht furnishing, there are a few popular options that exude luxury and sophistication. One classic style is the nautical theme, featuring navy blues, whites, and touches of gold or brass accents to create a timeless maritime ambiance.

For those seeking a more modern look, contemporary design with clean lines and neutral colors like grey or beige can provide a sleek and elegant aesthetic onboard. Incorporating state-of-the-art technology seamlessly into the design can elevate the overall experience.

Alternatively, an eclectic style mixing different textures, patterns, and colors can add personality and vibrancy to the space. Think bold artwork pieces paired with plush velvet furnishings for a stylish yet cozy atmosphere that feels like home away from home on the open seas.

No matter which style you choose for your yacht furnishing, creating a harmonious blend of comfort, functionality, and aesthetics is key to achieving a truly luxurious onboard experience.

How to design the perfect layout for your yacht

Designing the perfect layout for your luxury yacht is a crucial step in creating a comfortable and functional space that reflects your personal style. Start by considering the flow of the space – ensure there is enough room to move around freely without feeling cramped.

Think about the purpose of each area on the yacht – from dining and lounging to sleeping quarters and entertainment spaces. Each area should serve its own unique function while seamlessly connecting with the rest of the layout.

Utilize natural light to create an open and airy feel onboard. Large windows, skylights, or even glass floors can bring in plenty of sunlight and offer stunning views of the surrounding waters.

Consider incorporating versatile furniture pieces that can easily transform to suit different needs throughout the day. Opt for sleek designs that maximize space without compromising on style.

Lastly, don’t forget about outdoor areas! Designing a seamless transition between indoor and outdoor spaces will enhance your overall yachting experience as you enjoy breathtaking sunsets or dine al fresco under the stars.

Clever storage solutions for yachts

When it comes to designing the interior of a luxury yacht, clever storage solutions are key. With limited space on board, maximizing every inch is essential for both functionality and aesthetics.

One smart storage solution often seen in yachts is utilizing hidden compartments beneath seating areas or within walls. This not only saves space but also maintains a clean and uncluttered look throughout the yacht.

Another popular option is incorporating multi-functional furniture pieces that serve dual purposes, such as a coffee table with built-in storage or a bed frame with drawers underneath. These innovative designs help minimize clutter while adding practicality to the living spaces.

Vertical storage solutions like tall cabinets or shelving units can also make use of otherwise wasted space, providing ample room for storing belongings without sacrificing floor space.

Overall, integrating these clever storage solutions into the design of a yacht ensures that everything has its place, creating a harmonious and organized environment for passengers to enjoy their time at sea.

Luxury yacht interior design is truly an art form that combines creativity, functionality, and elegance. From incorporating the latest trends to selecting the perfect materials and styles, designing the interior of a yacht requires careful planning and attention to detail.

By following top trends in luxury yacht interior design, creating a layout that maximizes space, choosing high-quality materials and stylish designs, as well as implementing clever storage solutions, you can transform your yacht into a luxurious floating oasis.

Whether you prefer a modern minimalist look or a classic nautical style, there are endless possibilities when it comes to designing your yacht’s interior. So let your imagination run wild and create a space that reflects your personal taste and lifestyle while enjoying the ultimate luxury on the open seas.

How to Design an Amazing Superyacht Interior

Before you take your new yacht on the high seas, the first task is designing its interiors.

By Elite Traveler

yacht design space

So you’ve had your taste of sailing the high seas – you’ve done the cruises , the private charters and even walked the rounds at the yacht shows – and decided that your love of the ocean requires something more; a yacht of your own. However, if you have purchased a vessel that has not been pre-designed or furnished, the next task will be designing superyacht interiors to fit your requirements.

Much like the design of private jets, the size and usage of a yacht will be the main factors in how the vessel is designed. How many cabins will it have? How many leisure spaces? Will you need space to carry out work or entertain guests?

One of the easiest ways to get around these questions is to work with a yacht interior designer , who can help you work through all the decisions and will also have knowledge of the health and safety requirements of any vessel before it is certified as sea-worthy. Although we would highly recommend seeking expert opinion, it doesn’t hurt to start thinking about what interiors you would like to see in your yacht.

Elite Traveler has put together a collection of interior options including everything from lighting to dinnerware, to spark your imagination and help you start creating the perfect superyacht interiors.

One of the most important considerations for both the style of your superyacht interiors and the safety aspect will be the furniture you choose. Depending on the size of your yacht, you may also have several rooms to furnish – giving you the opportunity to create your ideal lounge, dining space, office, cabin and even a gym or onboard cinema.

No matter the type of room, you are sure to find something that suits your style with Visionnaire. The luxury furniture company has been making world-class pieces since launching in 2005, with a strong focus on high-quality, natural materials. We particularly love the stunning Pavone Armchair , a statement piece that comes in a range of colors and metal finishes.

For beautiful and sustainable woodwork, opt for British furniture manufacturer RAFT. The brand is best known for using sustainable teak that is tried and crafted in Indonesia; the wood is naturally pest-resistant and durable, growing without heavy irrigation or fertilizers. RAFT’s Teak Root Glass Dining Table is a great option for any dining space, coming in a variety of sizes with a contemporary look that will work well with a variety of styles.

If you’re looking for something more bespoke and selective for your furniture pieces, look no further than Glyn Peter Machin . The designer and his team have been crafting bespoke furniture and accessories for over 20 years, with a portfolio of works that covers private residences and superyachts across the world. One of the brand’s latest pieces is a vibrant wireless Audio Cabinet that acts both as a work of art and a functional addition to any cinema room.

Accessories

One part of interior design that is often overlooked is the accessories within a room – but these can often be the final touches that finalize a space and harmonize it. For example, a well-chosen dining table will need dinnerware that has also been thoughtfully chosen. We prefer luxurious homeware brand L’OBJET’s Aegean Filet collection in gold; its finish is subtle and won’t detract from the food being served, but also has a slightly nautical touch with the scale-like gold trim.

If you’re planning on entertaining onboard your yacht, it’s impossible to go wrong with Baccarat – the global luxury icon that has been handcrafting beautiful crystal objects for over 250 years, ranging from stand-out decorative pieces to exquisite table and barware. To really make an impression when the celebrations get started, cool your champagne in Baccarat’s Harcourt Champagne Cooler .

When thinking about other types of accessories or final touches to pull a space together cohesively, don’t forget about artwork and how this can play a part in your superyacht interiors. For a stylish, lifelike sculpture to act as a statement piece within any room onboard, opt for a work by Hamish Mackie . The British sculptor is particularly interested in wildlife and capturing the spirit of the animals, with pieces being cast in bronze and silver.

When it comes to superyacht interiors, another important aspect of the design is the materials that are used throughout the vessel – these should be both stylish and seaworthy, adding to the style of a room while still complying with safety checks. A yacht interior designer will know how to approach this, but there are several brands that specialize in yacht materials worth knowing, in case you are planning a specific look onboard your yacht.

yacht design space

Studioart , for example, is a manufacturer of high-quality upholstery leathers and wall coverings, which mixes innovative technologies with the heritage and craftwork of leather making. This careful balance has meant that the brand can now be found in private yachts, homes and jets across the globe. For other types of surfaces, we love Nature Squared – an innovative company transforming sustainable, natural materials into high-quality surfaces and finishes for a range of products, private homes, yachts and more.

Finally, no list of yacht-worthy materials would be complete without mention of the world-renowned House of Tai Ping : the brand creates some of the most exquisite handmade and woven carpets in the world, which can be found everywhere from five-star hotels to private jet and yacht interiors. In fact, the brand has its own Yacht Division, which was founded in 2002, making it even easier to translate its beautiful designs into pieces that can work on your yacht.

Yacht Interior Design: A Journey into Opulent Luxury

Stepping aboard a yacht is an invitation to immerse oneself in extravagant elegance. Yacht interior designers have mastered the art of crafting extraordinary spaces that redefine lavishness. With meticulously selected furnishings and intricate detailing, every aspect is designed to radiate sophistication and grandeur.

Dissolving the Divisions Between Indoor and Outdoor Spaces

Yacht interior design trends this year focus on the seamless integration of indoor and outdoor spaces. Glass doors that slide away, retractable walls, and expansive windows dissolve the barriers between the yacht's interior and the breathtaking vistas outside. Guests can revel in the beauty of the ocean while enjoying the comforts and luxuries of the interior, creating an immersive experience that transcends traditional boundaries.

Preserving the Environment through Considered Design

The importance of sustainability is at the forefront of yacht interior design. Designers are integrating earth-friendly materials and sustainable practices to create environmentally conscious spaces. The use of responsibly sourced hardwoods, recycled materials, and organic fabrics like linen and hemp reflect a commitment to environmental preservation. The addition of living green walls and indoor plants not only adds a touch of nature but also enhances onboard wellbeing.

Modern Minimalism

A Harmonious Blend of Simplicity and Functionality

Modern minimalism has found its place in yacht interiors, beautifully blending simplicity and practicality. Clean lines, clutter-free spaces, and a neutral colour palette cultivate an atmosphere of tranquillity. Smart storage solutions and advanced technology ensure a serene environment, focusing attention on the captivating ocean views and the play of natural light within the yacht's interior.

How yacht design is influencing interiors

Superyacht owners demand the highest levels of quality, craftsmanship and precision – and the high-spec finishes and innovative materials required to meet those exacting standards are now being seen in luxury homes

Words by Rachel Loos

yacht design space

Every September, visitors to the Monaco Yacht Show can admire some of the world’s finest ocean-going vessels, their sleek hulls matched by luxurious and meticulously designed interiors. The industry term for this elevated level of finesse is “yacht standard” – and, where once it was confined to the high seas, it is now informing land-based spaces, with yacht owners and designers seeking to recreate a high-spec combination of style and practicality in the home.

The starting point is craftsmanship. “There is a level of excellence in terms of quality that is the standard order of business for yacht interiors,” says the award-winning designer Achille Salvagni. “Yacht owners want homes with the same level of perfection – whether that’s about finish or service.”

Salvagni’s studio, which designs both luxury residences and superyachts, has a team of in-house architects (including naval architects), interior designers and expert joinery and fit-out specialists. “They are accustomed to fabricating these jewel-box environments off-site, ensuring that they fit perfectly wherever they are installed,” he says.

Clever use of space is another inspiration, as the demand for storage that delivers on style and practicality becomes ever more important at home. “As living areas on yachts are constrained, the interiors are known for the careful optimisation of space – combined with elegance and functionality,” says interior designer Bryan O’Sullivan, who has offices in London and New York.

yacht design space

“In homes, this translates into being conscious of space efficiency, with, for example, storage behind hidden panels as well as rooms that serve multiple purposes: a guest room doubling as a home office, where the desk disappears into wall panelling, or a dining table that can be reduced in size to become a console when not in use.”

In one bedroom of a striking property in Palm Beach, Florida, Salvagni designed the bed, bedside tables and headboard so they appeared to be seamlessly joined together, an all-in-one sculptural look that maximised space while offering a high level of comfort.

This combination of form and function is showcased most strikingly in the trend for statement staircases that are less solid in style. “Dramatic stairs on yachts are where necessity and practicality meet sophistication and beauty,” says Salvagni. “We take the same approach with residences for staircases that are sculptural and create a lightness or floating feeling.”

Joinery that lasts is another style steal. “To allow for the sometimes harsh conditions at sea, it must be incredibly durable – the use of specific joints and timbers is key,” says O’Sullivan. “This can be called on when designing a home, especially when families with children are involved.”

yacht design space

Techniques and finishes used to create star quality in yachts now do the same in stylish homes. Salvagni, for instance, first used alpaca silver, an alloy of copper, nickel and zinc, to add a subtle sheen and vary the textures in one yacht interior, but has since deployed it in land-based projects in London, New York and Mumbai. “We use it to spectacular effect, to give the appearance of antique French églomisé mirrors,” he says.

With floor-to-ceiling glass doors and windows now dominating residential design, it is no surprise that innovations first found in yacht glazing – which must be able to withstand the challenges posed by maritime weather – are now being seen in terrestrial design. “The UV filters in yacht glazing are being applied more and more in homes, as they protect fabrics and artwork from fading,” says O’Sullivan.

Salvagni agrees. “I love to incorporate high-tech wizardry such as advanced glass technology that ensures windows appear transparent on the inside, but are the same colour as the hull when viewed from outside,” he says. “We use this in residences all over the world, especially for WCs set inside spa bathrooms, matching the glass to the colour of the stone. It is this level of detail that makes all the difference.”

We’ll also discover the secrets to crafting a truly opulent atmosphere that reflects the epitome of luxury. Get ready to sail into a world where design meets lavishness, and every detail counts.

Enhancing the Comfort and Functionality

The enhancement of comfort and functionality is of utmost importance in the interior design of a yacht . It is crucial to consider the following factors in order to achieve this goal:

Ergonomic furniture placement: To optimize the flow of movement and ensure ease of access and navigation, strategic positioning of furniture such as sofas , chairs , and beds is essential.

Ample storage space: Clever and innovative storage solutions should be incorporated, including hidden compartments and built-in cabinets, to ensure that belongings can be neatly organized. This will help minimize clutter and maximize the available space.

Optimized spatial planning: Careful consideration should be given to the layout and arrangement of different areas within the yacht. Sufficient space should be allocated for each function, such as living areas, bedrooms, bathrooms, and kitchens, to ensure that they are functional and comfortable.

Adequate lighting: Lighting design plays a crucial role in enhancing both comfort and functionality. It is essential to incorporate smart storage solutions, like concealed compartments and multi-functional furniture, to maximize storage capacity while ensuring a tidy and organized interior.

When planning the layout, one must carefully consider the traffic flow throughout the yacht. Clear and unobstructed pathways should be created to facilitate easy navigation and prevent congestion, particularly in high-traffic areas such as hallways and communal spaces.

To optimize the interior design, it is important to establish distinct zones based on their intended use. By delineating spaces for relaxation, dining, socializing, and work , a well-organized and comfortable environment can be achieved on the yacht.

Balancing aesthetics and practicality is key. While visually appealing interiors are important, it is equally crucial that furniture and furnishings efficiently serve their intended purpose. Factors such as size, shape , and placement of furniture should be considered to ensure optimum usability and comfort .

Strategic placement of windows , mirrors , and other reflective surfaces can greatly enhance the perception of space and create a sense of openness. By harnessing natural light and maximizing panoramic views, seating and relaxation areas can be positioned to maximize the overall experience.

By carefully considering spatial planning and layout, yacht owners and designers can create interiors that are not only functional and aesthetically pleasing but also optimized for the limited space available onboard. This, in turn, provides passengers with a luxurious and comfortable experience.

Materials and Finishes Selection

When it comes to yacht interior design, the selection of materials and finishes is of utmost importance in order to create a luxurious and visually appealing space. Here are some key factors to keep in mind:

A vital aspect is choosing high-quality materials and finishes that can withstand wear and tear. This includes opting for hardwood flooring, premium upholstery fabrics, and luxury hardware. When selecting materials and finishes, it is crucial to consider the overall style and theme of the yacht. Go for options that complement the desired aesthetic, be it modern, classic, or minimalist. It is essential to ensure that the materials and finishes chosen are not only visually pleasing but also functional. For instance, in high-traffic areas, consider stain-resistant and easy-to-clean upholstery fabrics. Prioritizing comfort can be achieved by selecting materials and finishes that provide a pleasant tactile experience. This includes using soft and plush fabrics for seating areas and incorporating cozy carpets or rugs for added warmth. Every small detail plays a significant role in creating a cohesive and luxurious interior. From intricate patterns on wallpaper to carefully chosen hardware, each element contributes to the overall design. Consider how materials and finishes interact with lighting. Reflective surfaces such as mirrors or polished metals can enhance the sense of openness and brightness in the space. Pave the way for an environmentally conscious approach by opting for eco-friendly materials and finishes that minimize the yacht’s impact. Look for options made from recycled or renewable materials whenever possible.

By meticulously considering materials and finishes, both yacht owners and designers can create a stunning and luxurious interior that meets aesthetic and functional requirements.

Lighting Design

Here are some key considerations for lighting design in yacht interiors:

Incorporate a variety of lighting fixtures, including chandeliers, wall sconces, recessed lighting, and task lighting, to create layers of light and cater to different needs and moods. Carefully plan the placement of lighting fixtures to ensure optimal illumination and highlight key design features, artwork, or architectural elements. Maximize the use of natural light through strategically placed windows, skylights, or portholes, which not only illuminates the space but also creates a connection with the surrounding environment. Install dimmer switches to control the intensity of the lights, allowing for flexibility and the creation of different atmospheres depending on the time of day or the desired ambiance. Choose lighting fixtures with adjustable color temperature options, such as warm white, cool white, or daylight, to set the desired mood and complement the color palette of the interior.

Remember, the lighting design should be tailored to suit the specific needs and preferences of the yacht owners, taking into account the overall aesthetic concept and functionality of the space. Incorporating these lighting design elements will not only enhance the visual appeal of the yacht interior but also create a comfortable and inviting atmosphere for your guests.

Yachts have limited space and unique design requirements, so it’s important to select furniture and furnishings that are proportionate to the available space and can withstand the conditions of the marine environment.
  • Opt for lightweight and compact furniture and furnishings. Yachts are constantly in motion, so it’s essential to choose furniture and furnishings that are lightweight and can be securely fastened to the yacht’s structure. This ensures safety and prevents furniture and furnishings from shifting or causing damage during rough seas.
  • Select furniture and furnishings that are durable and resistant to moisture. Yachts are exposed to high levels of humidity, saltwater, and sun, which can accelerate wear and tear. Look for furniture and furnishings made from materials such as marine-grade stainless steel, teak, or synthetic materials that are specifically designed to withstand these harsh conditions.
  • Consider the versatility of the furniture and furnishings. Yachts often have limited storage space, so selecting multi-functional pieces can help maximize space efficiency. Look for furniture and furnishings that double as storage, such as ottomans with hidden compartments or tables with built-in drawers.
  • Choose fabrics that are both stylish and practical. Yacht interiors should exude luxury and sophistication, but it’s important to select fabrics that are also resistant to fading, stains, and moisture. Opt for fabrics such as Sunbrella or marine-grade vinyl that are designed to withstand the marine environment.

Whether it’s an Art Deco glamour, a tranquil Zen retreat, or a Mediterranean villa, these themes can be woven throughout the yacht to create a cohesive and immersive experience. Careful selection of materials, colors, and artworks helps to fully realize these visions.

Multi-Functional Spaces

In the world of yachting, space is a premium commodity. Designing multi-functional spaces that can adapt to different needs—such as convertible dining and entertainment areas, or guest cabins that double as offices or studios—is a hallmark of smart luxury design. Innovative furniture solutions and spatial layouts play a crucial role here.

Outdoor-Indoor Living

Blurring the lines between outdoor and indoor living spaces enhances the connection with the marine environment. Expansive deck areas with comfortable lounging options, fold-down balconies, and glass walls that open completely transform the living experience, offering an unobstructed communion with the sea and the sky.

Wellness Centers

With a growing emphasis on health and well-being, luxury yachts are incorporating dedicated wellness centers. These spaces might include spas, saunas, gyms, and even onboard pools or yoga studios, designed with a focus on relaxation and rejuvenation, complemented by panoramic views to inspire and invigorate.

Advanced Lighting Design

Lighting plays a pivotal role in setting the mood and accentuating the beauty of the interiors. Advanced lighting systems offer the ability to customize the ambiance of each space, from vibrant and energetic to soft and serene, enhancing the architectural features and design elements with just a touch of a button.

Eclectic Material Palette

Lastly, the use of an eclectic material palette adds depth and character to yacht interiors. Luxurious textiles, exotic woods, precious metals, and innovative composites can be combined in harmonious or contrasting ways to create visually stunning and tactilely rich environments.

Each of these design ideas embodies the essence of luxury yacht interior design—where innovation meets tradition, and where every detail is crafted to elevate the maritime experience to unprecedented levels of elegance and comfort.

Best Small Yacht Interior Design Ideas

Designing the interior of a small yacht presents unique challenges and opportunities to create a luxurious, functional, and inviting space. Despite the limited square footage, smart design strategies can transform compact yachts into stunning examples of efficiency and elegance. Here are some of the best small yacht interior design ideas that maximize space without sacrificing style.

Multi-Use Layouts

The key to maximizing small spaces lies in versatility. Designing multi-use layouts means every inch serves multiple purposes. For example, a dining area can easily convert into a lounge or an additional sleeping area with the right furniture. Fold-down tables, convertible sofas, and retractable surfaces are essential in achieving a functional yet flexible interior.

Light and Airy Interiors

Creating a sense of spaciousness is crucial in small yacht interiors. Opt for light color palettes, reflective surfaces, and minimalist design elements to make the space feel larger and more open. Large windows and strategically placed mirrors can amplify natural light, enhancing the overall airy feel and connecting the interior with the surrounding seascape.

Small Yacht Interior Design Idea 5

Smart Storage Solutions

Effective storage solutions are vital to keep small yacht interiors uncluttered and organized. Custom-built units, hidden compartments, and multi-functional furniture (such as beds with storage underneath or ottomans with hidden compartments) help utilize every available space efficiently. These solutions ensure that essential items are stored neatly, keeping the living areas spacious and comfortable.

Small Yacht Interior Design Idea 2

Sleek and Simple Design Aesthetics

In small yacht interiors, less is often more. A sleek and simple design aesthetic, focusing on clean lines and uncluttered spaces, can make the interior feel more expansive. Selecting a few high-quality materials and finishes can add a touch of luxury without overwhelming the space. This approach also allows the beauty of the craftsmanship and the materials themselves to shine through.

Small Yacht Interior Design Idea 3

Use of Vertical Space

Don’t overlook the potential of vertical space. High shelves, wall-mounted storage, and tall cabinets can provide additional storage without taking up valuable floor space. This strategy not only helps in organizing belongings but also draws the eye upward, creating a sense of height and openness in the interior.

How do I choose a yacht interior designer?

Look for designers with experience in maritime projects, a portfolio that resonates with your style, and a collaborative approach.

Can yacht interiors be eco-friendly?

Absolutely. Many designers now incorporate sustainable materials and energy-efficient technologies to minimize environmental impact.

How often should yacht interiors be updated?

While there’s no set rule, consider refreshing the interior every 5-7 years to maintain modernity and comfort.

Are smart technologies reliable on yachts?

Yes, with advancements in marine technology, smart systems designed for yachts are robust, offering convenience and enhancing safety.

How can I maximize space in a small yacht interior?

Utilize multi-functional furniture, smart storage solutions, and a minimalist design approach to create a spacious and organized environment.

In conclusion, luxury yacht interior design is a fine art that harmonizes functionality, aesthetics, and personalization, crafting spaces that are as majestic as the seas they navigate. Through innovative use of space, light, and materials, these designs offer a sanctuary of comfort and style, reflecting the unique identity of their owners while ensuring a seamless connection with the marine environment.

“…Awareness is the key factor of the AWARE concept. An open eye for what matters most: an abundance of space, an exceptional inside-outside connection to the sea, spacious and comfortable lounges, and vast exterior decks…”

Please enjoy aware: the essence of luxury.

We are proud to present AWARE, a yacht concept where space optimization is leading and with an open eye for space, inside-outside connection to the sea, comfortable lounges and vast exterior decks. AWARE is the Essence of Luxury, a logical step in yacht design where all the available space is used to give owners and guests the best possible experience. The result is a yacht concept of simple grandeur, revealing its nature with outspoken honesty: a focus on the spacious experience aboard and connection with the sea.

Space optimization comes first: a huge beach aft of 230m2 with an 11-meter-long pool. A Beach Club with an internal height of 3 meters plus a full beam 80m2 OSR with a private lounge and balcony featuring its own jacuzzi. At bridge deck a vast 460m2 exterior, while the lounges, dining, and wheelhouse in the bridge deck pavilion cover 200m2. The number of decks has been slimmed down to a lower deck, a main deck, and a bridge deck with flexibility of use ensured by the effcient open plan layout.

SANDER J. SINOT

Abundance of space.

“For AWARE the focus is on space optimization and functionality, maximizing the space on board. Superfluous corridors are omitted, ceiling heights are optimized (3 meters at the beach club and 2,5 meters at the pavilion), the open plan layouts offer inherent flexibility and ample space. Throughout AWARE’s interior, elegance and luxury are combined with authentic quality and unique materials. The minimalistic, pure design language is developed to be in mindful harmony for owners, guests and the natural environment.

Careful use of proportions in both the exterior and interior of AWARE has resulted in a pure space experience. Light is used as a tool to set interior moods using shutters, adjustable blinds and grids to allow different levels of daylight admittance. AWARE combines a superior quality of build with a sophisticated use of natural materials resulting in an essential design atmosphere that creates a holistic awareness of the yacht for a true connoisseur owner.”

ARCHITECTURAL GEOMETRY

Triple deck yacht design.

With a LOA of 79,9 meters and a height of just 8 meters above the waterline, the low profile of AWARE is elongated and elegant. All lounges, interior spaces and exterior decks are proportioned to provide ultimate functionality and an optimal inside-out experience. The nautical platform consists of three decks, with an open plan pavilion on the bridge deck offering unrestricted views of the ocean at all sides.

Connection with the water on all decks is all-encompassing thanks to the unobstructed exterior decks, the floor-to-ceiling windows, extensive glass facades and two huge fold-down hatches at the Beach Club. Located at the aft of the main deck aft, the Beach Club delivers 230m2 of partially shaded space and incorporates an 11 meters long pool. Sunbeds and loungers are positioned to allow for plenty of walk-around space for having fun by the pool. The aft deck offers access to the sea for water sports and toys or for serving as a mooring spot for one of the tenders onboard AWARE.

Sea level indulgence

AWARE’s Beach Club is a multi-purpose space to work out, enjoy yoga or beauty treatments or to just come together for al-fresco dining on the lowered hatch or for drinks at the bar. Two floor-to-ceiling hatches on the starboard and port side fold down to enlarge the space to a level-floored 121m2. The interior ceiling height of 3 meters guarantees awareness of the sea when the hatches are open, merging ocean views with the interior space experience.

The Beach Club is accessible in several ways; directly from the exterior main deck aft, under the overhang by passing through the floor-to-ceiling doors, and by the central staircase lobby. Once at the Beach Club, an interior cinema setting can be enjoyed, while flexible space dividers are used to provide private settings for well-being activities of any kind. Comfortable lounge seating caters for any type of relaxation and social gathering for smaller or larger groups.

Owner’s state room

Dreamtime delights.

Located forward at the main deck of AWARE, the beam-wide owner’s state room offers 80m2 of living, sleeping, bathroom and dressing space. Expansive full-length windows create an impression of vast openness and freedom. The open plan arrangement combines a bedroom with a lounge and adjacent balcony where glass sliding doors and a glass bulwark provide a seamless transition from inside to outside. The built-in open-air jacuzzi tub situated in a corner of the balcony is the epitome of style.

A combined bathroom and dressing space for the owner’s state room optimizes the efficiency of space usage. Hand-crafted sliding doors with inserts of clear glass and bleached wenge offer privacy and division. The bathtub is crafted out of a single block of natural onyx stone, hand-worked for a softened effect to match the backdrop of the natural limestone surface. All the features in the owner’s state room consist of custom-designed pieces, hand-crafted from durable and natural materials.

Guest state room

Mindful hospitality.

Four grand guest state rooms are located around AWARE’s central staircase lobby. All the rooms have full-length windows delivering an infinite connection with the surrounding seascape. Each bedroom has an ensuite bathroom also featuring full-length windows furnished with adjustable blinds, a floating onyx vanity and separate shower and toilet cabins with onyx walls, floors, and ceiling panels.

Inside the guest spaces, every detail of the design has been examined, with painstaking attention devoted to form, material selection, finishes and functionality. The selection of natural stones and hand-picked timbers allows for further personalization of AWARE’s interior, ensuring the design is aesthetically balanced with inherent appeal. The result is an atmosphere of pleasing intimacy and mindful hospitality.

Central staircase

Connect the decks.

One of the highlights of AWARE is the central circular staircase connecting the lower deck, main deck, and bridge deck onboard. With its sculptural design and position in a glass-covered vide, the stairs seem to float freely in space, creating an impression of monumental weightlessness. The wooden ring that almost invisibly connects the stairs to the upper deck pavilion, is reflected in the large oculus skylight in the ceiling of the bridge deck pavilion.

The elegance of the staircase is portrayed by stringers in the textured wood, where interlocking spirals provide the required structural stability for the leather-clad steps. Full-glass balustrades with polished edges are located both at the steps and at the landings, strengthening the upward-directed motion of the staircase by their sweeping curving lines. The staircase’s overall configuration is a statement of the pure design language onboard AWARE.

Bridge deck pavillion

Free-flowing spaciousness.

On the bridge deck a vast 460m2 exterior deck surrounds the pavilion to fully enjoy views of the sea. Inside, a lounge, dining, library, and semi-open wheelhouse are integrated in one free-flowing space of almost 200m2. When ascending the grand circular staircase, the oculus in the central lobby lights the route towards the aft lounge, where a seating arrangement of comfortable sofas is situated. The open connection to the aft and side deck exteriors makes dining and lounging a true al-fresco experience.

4 ways to maximise your yacht's interior spaces

Soft colours and wide windows.

Spaciousness at sea is much like spaciousness on land: it’'s a feeling, an experience, not measurable in square footage. When we’'re feeling cramped, space is a good thing. When we'’re feeling isolated and disconnected, a football field of interior space can feel vacuous. At that point, we seek out a small, intimate space that makes us feel more at home.

The challenge for designers of superyachts is to make what feels too small feel bigger and vice versa without resorting to drastic measures. Huge open plan living spaces with cavernous ceiling heights are common on land, but despite some yacht designers finding ways to extend ceiling height, the fact remains that the standard measure of motor yacht overheads is less than eight feet.

However, there are many ways to extend space and make superyacht interiors feel bigger, despite the comparatively low ceilings.

The Donald Starkey designed interior on Trident , a 65 metre Feadship , features softer colours and wide windows to make spaces seem more expansive, as strong colours and a lack of natural light can make places appear small.

The right mix of muted and strong colours

"In the end, it’'s all a matter of comfort,"’ says Manhattan-based architect David Easton , who, in partnership with Hoek Design , is responsible for the interior of  Marie’ , a 54.8 metre  Vitters sailing yacht launched in 2010.

‘"The key to making a small space large is not only a sense of scale, it’'s giving that scale a sense of excitement,"’ explained Easton. ‘"Soften the upholstery fabrics so they blend in with the surrounding walls. I prefer neutrals. They'’re less jarring to the eye.’ Too many jarring contrasts and interruptions make a small space cramped."

But a few strategic breaches on  Marie  do catch the eye, contributing to the excitement.

"‘Colourful paintings and pillows provide the accents,’" explains Easton. ‘"Mirrors on side panels bring the outside in, expanding the space. Think of the furniture pieces as sculpture. When they’'re resting directly on the floor they will feel heavy. You can get them to ‘float’ by putting them on legs. Let air surround them. A blue-tinted ceiling enhances the ‘float’ upwards. Eighteen inches is the usual seating height. Scaling furniture back to 17 inches high makes a big difference, though not noticeable.

_‘"Marie’'_s anigre wood walls are a light, warm colour blending in with the floating of the ceiling and even the floors," continues Easton. "However, none of the colours are an exact match. We also pushed the deck open at one point to alleviate the ceilings being low at all points. In the salon you can look up into that heightened space. And downstairs it looks double height.’"

Scaled down furniture

"Most furniture is oversized these days,’" says Newport-based designer Candace Langan . ‘"On Ninkasi , the owner’'s wife and I ordered custom pieces scaled back to standard size and that worked.’"

The 42 metre Ninkasi was launched in 2010 as Calliope by Holland Jachtbouw  and features design by Langan'’s late husband, the celebrated naval architect Bill Langan .

Langan, like Easton, used lighter colours combined with light carpets and lots of natural light. And just as mirrors expand the apparent size of the room, reflecting the outside in, she used high-gloss reflective finishes to add light. In concert with those mirror-like effects, Ninkasi has nested twin spiral staircases that serve as light wells through all three decks.

Glass instead of walls

Interior designer Glade Johnson , based in Bellevue, Washington, had the perfect solution for low ceilings on board the largest yacht ever launched or re-launched in North America.

"‘We got rid of the walls as much as we could,’" said Johnson of the 100 metre  Attessa IV , which uses glass in lieu of walls .

‘"But this takes a lot of planning with the shipyard," added Johnson. "Not only to use glass, but to make the glass itself disappear. Not every yard likes doing this. But they need to create a channel to hold the glass built right into the superstructure. It’ is installed before the floor is installed. Once the glass is secure at the bottom of the bulwark, the floor plane seems to pass right through to the outside.

‘"With granite or some similar material on the deck as well as bordering the interior space, that wall-free, expansive feeling is multiplied once more," explained Johnson. "The only thing left to consider is the safety issue of people walking into glass, which can be solved by etching.

‘"If you stand at the entry point on the boat deck, you can see through the glass wall across the foyer past the central staircase, through the opposite glass wall to the exterior handrail. Beyond that there’'s the horizon,’" said Johnson. ‘"If you were to look down at the boat plan, you would see that the glass enclosing the foyer staircase actually curves inward. This alone added two-and-a-half feet of deck space to the terraces. But at the same time, the glass had the effect of making the interior volume feel larger."

"Glass walls are just one way to extend space," added Johnson. "For example, mirrors running all the way to the ceiling cause that ceiling to feel like it’s continuing ad infinitum. Frame the same mirror and it stops. Mirrors from ceiling all the way to the floor have the effect of expanding the entire room into the next."

Attessa IV was originally built by Hayashikane  in 1999 but underwent a masterful rebuild and was re-launched by the Washington Yachting Group in Vancouver in 2010.

Monaco Yacht Show: 7 Yacht Interiors That Will Steal the Show

By Nicole Trilivas

Room on yacht with intricate blue stone flooring and walls

Running from September 28 through October 1, the Monaco Yacht Show is the highlight of the global boat show circuit. This year’s edition promises to deliver plenty of buzzy debuts, headline-making yacht news, and high-design highlights. There are several new additions to this year’s event in Port Hercules including a sustainability hub and a gadget- and gizmo-filled adventure area , packed with new water toys and flashy supercars —it is Monaco , after all.

For denizens of design, the Yacht Design & Innovation Hub is returning for a second year, with presentations, galleries, and exhibits by yacht architects and designers. But, of course, the big boats steal the show. With yacht interiors that range from the classically nautical to the budget-blowing bonkers, these are the superyachts to have on your radar at this year’s Monaco Yacht Show.

Sitting area inside a yacht

An oversized chandelier defines the space in the informal dining room aboard Ahpo .

Lürssen, Ahpo

All eyes will be on the whopping 377-feet Ahpo , by Lürssen, when it debuts this year at the Monaco Yacht Show as the largest yacht in the port. Venice-based exterior and interior designer Nuvolari Lenard added plenty of personality and luxury to the vessel with oversized crystal light features, a hammam made of mosaics in the massive wellness area, and a grand staircase at the center of the yacht, crafted to resemble an olive tree.

Interiors of main deck lounge on a yacht

Blue accents channel the traditional nautical aesthetic.

Feadship, Rock.It

The 198-foot Rock.It is not short on style: Gleaming wood panels with creamy white leather inlays feature throughout; glowing white onyx contrasts with rich black Portoro marble; and the well-dressed owner’s cabin rivals the top suite of an old-world European hotel with a warm wood study and bathroom with a claw-footed tub. The refined design can be attributed to the Netherlands with Dutch shipyard Feadship behind the build and Dutch design studio Sinot Yacht Architecture & Design taking on the interiors.

Bar and seating area on a yacht

Modern and laid-back, Come Together is effortlessly cool.

Amels, Come Together

Built in the Netherlands by Amels with interiors by London-based Winch Design, the 197-foot Come Together has soft and laid-back beach-y vibes with a dose of Southern California cool. Elements like bleached oaks, woven linen fabrics, cabinetry with natural coconut shell, and hair-on-hide leathers all unite to bring the natural world aboard this chic ship.

Stairs leading down to a seating area on a yacht

Crisp and clean, the interiors of Be Cool are to-the-point in a refreshing way.

Swan 98, Be Cool

There’s a fleet of around a dozen large sailing yachts on display at this year’s yacht show in the dedicated Sailing Yacht Area. One of the most notable new launches of the bunch is Swan 98 Be Cool  by Finnish shipyard Nautor’s Swan. The clean and crisp interior hull design by Genovese architect Misa Poggi embraces graceful nautical style and Scandinavian practicality with navy linen and cotton fabrics, dark oak, and handsome tobacco-hued leather.

Kokomo ’s interiors will speak to the minimalist.

Sunreef, Kokomo

Packed with cutting-edge green tech and ultralight solar panels, Sunreef’s newest catamaran  Eco 80 will be making waves at this year’s show. However, it’s the interiors of the 80-foot Kokomo (done in-house by Sunreef) that will impress the design lovers. Outfitted in cool and calm shades of white with rattan finishes and eucalyptus veneers, Kokomo is both on-trend and a complete classic.

The glass-bottom pool is a highlight of the yacht.

Abeking & Rasmussen, B2

One of the largest vessels currently on the market, the 281-foot B2 by German yard Abeking & Rasmussen, will be showing off an ultra-chic over-$4-million interior refit just completed in July at this year’s show. Sprawling out over five decks, Winch Design has curated a serene floating sanctuary of indoor-outdoor living, the highlight of which is the main deck’s glass-bottom pool, stationed above the light-filled beach club lounge with fold-down balconies that extend the living space right to the water’s edge.

With dark wood, tubular steel accents, and black furnishings, the interiors of State of Grace could be described as a nautical take on the Bauhaus aesthetic.

Perini Navi, State of Grace

State of Grace by Italy’s Perini Navi is a gorgeous high-performance sailing sloop. It’s picture-perfect with polished teak decks, an ocean-blue hull, and billowing white sails. Inside is a study in midcentury-modern elegance with a split-level saloon and a spacious and full-beam owner’s suite with a hammam shower.

In this comprehensive guide, we’ll explore a plethora of creative solutions to elevate your onboard experience.

What is Boat Interior Design?

Boat or Nautical interior design is the art and science of creating functional, breathtaking living spaces within the boundaries of a watercraft. It involves carefully planning and arranging elements such as furniture, cabinetry, textiles, and lighting to optimize space utilization with maximum comfort and style. Boat interior designers must consider the unique challenges posed by marine environments, including limited space, fluctuating temperatures, and exposure to moisture and salt water. They often incorporate nautical themes, colors, and materials to create a life-at-sea ambiance.

Boat Interior Ideas for Seafarers

If you’re looking for some sailboat interior inspiration, we’ve put together a list of some boat design ideas for you:

1. Maximize Vertical Space

Make efficient use of the vertical dimensions of your boat by installing floor-to-ceiling shelving units or hanging organizers in the cabin area for storing essentials like books, kitchenware, and personal belongings. These storage solutions not only help keep essentials organized but also free up valuable floor space for easy movement onboard.

2. Multifunctional Furniture

Invest in versatile, minimalist furniture pieces that serve multiple purposes and allow you to make the most out of limited space without compromising on functionality. Consider options like sofa beds with built-in storage compartments or folding tables for your saloon area. A dining table that doubles as a workspace, or ottomans with hidden storage is great for lounge or seating areas.

3. Storage Solutions

Smart storage solutions such as under-floor compartments in sleeping quarters can help stow away bulky items such as bedding or luggage. Wall-mounted cabinets and pull-out drawers are perfect for the galley or kitchen area, keeping cookware, utensils, and provisions easily accessible yet out of sight. These small boat interior ideas contribute to a clutter-free environment.

4. Bespoke Cabinets

Design custom cabinets for minimalist organization tailored to your boat’s layout and specific storage needs. From storage solutions in the cockpit for boating gear to specialized compartments in the saloon for electronics or entertainment systems, custom-built cabinets ensure efficient use of space throughout the vessel.

5. Pick a Nautical Color Palette

We all love colors! Choose a calm color palette inspired by nautical interior design. Pick subtle shades like baby blue, pristine white, soft gray, and sun-kissed sand or vibrant colors like bright blue, green, and turquoise. These calming hues are the perfect base colors that evoke the serenity of the sea and create a light atmosphere onboard. Complement these hues by adding accents of navy, red, or yellow to tie the color palette together and enhance the maritime theme.

6. Accentuate with Marine Motifs

Include marine decorating concepts to add personality to your boat’s interior. Consider using decorative items such as marine motifs, anchor-patterned bedding, cushions, rope accents, or seashell-shaped ornaments to infuse a touch of maritime charm into your living and dining space and reflect your passion for seafaring adventures.

7. Use of Mirrors

Another interesting pick on our list of boat interior ideas is the use of mirrors. Place mirrors strategically to maximize natural light and create the illusion of a larger space. Positioning mirrors opposite windows or in narrow passageways such as cabins or saloons can help reflect light throughout the interior, making it feel brighter and more spacious.

8. Luxurious Upholstery

Choose upholstery fabrics and materials that are specially designed for marine environments. Go for options that are resistant to moisture, UV rays, and saltwater exposure, and can withstand harsh conditions of life at sea while maintaining their appearance and comfort in high-traffic areas such as the cockpit or saloon.

9. Textures and Textiles

Layer different textures such as soft wool rugs, comfy velvet cushions, and woven throws to add warmth and coziness to your boat interior ideas . Mixing textures adds richness, making the space feel comfortable for onboard relaxation.

10. Natural Elements

Incorporate natural elements like wood accents in the cabinetry and furnishings throughout the boat. Bamboo furniture, or stone countertops in the galley area add a touch of natural luxury and texture. These organic materials add warmth and bring the outdoors inside creating a harmonious connection with the marine environment.

11. Multilayering

Layer up your interior elements using the right furniture, décor, and accessories. For example, for maritime living space ideas, place smooth leather or rough jute sofas with knitted throws while glossy ceramics can sit on a smart coffee table positioned on a woven rug. This keeps the eye moving by creating a rich and multi-dimensional space.

12. Custom Mattresses

Indulge in custom-made mattresses or mattress toppers that are tailored to fit the unique shapes and dimensions of your boat’s sleeping berths. Engineered for optimal support and relaxation, these bespoke mattresses ensure a restful night’s sleep amidst the gentle sway of the ocean, elevating your overall onboard experience.

13. Maximize Natural Light

For your boat interior ideas , flood up your space with sunlight to enhance the luminous allure of your interior. Install large windows, elegant skylights, or intricately crafted portholes to maximize natural light penetration. Natural light not only brightens up the space but also creates a connection with the surrounding seascape, improving the overall feel onboard.

14. Lighting

Install reading lamps, or adjustable spotlights to provide focused illumination for nighttime activities. Under-cabinet lights are used mainly in the galley or kitchen area for cooking, reading, or working onboard. These refined lighting solutions ensure you have enough light wherever and whenever you need it. Ambient lighting features such as LED strips, recessed lighting, or wall sconces create unforgettable moments amidst the enchanting beauty of the open sea. These atmospheric lighting solutions set the mood for different activities and occasions onboard.

15. Nautical Art

For yacht décor ideas, incorporate nautical-themed artwork that resonates with your love for the sea. Approach local artisans or talented artists who specialize in marine-inspired creations, such as seascapes, sailboats, or underwater scenes. Whether it’s a custom painting, a sculpture, or a beautiful wall mural, nautical artwork completes the boat interior by adding a bit of you to your yacht’s living spaces. Go ahead and celebrate your passion for maritime adventures!

Final Words

In conclusion, these boat interior ideas offer a roadmap for renovating your vessel’s interior. Optimizing your boat or yacht’s interior design is a journey of creativity, functionality, and personal expression. With careful planning, attention to detail, innovative storage solutions, versatile furniture pieces, and thoughtful design elements, you can transform your onboard space into a luxurious retreat that reflects your lifestyle and enhances your maritime adventures.

Chic interior of an external cabin with a balcony

Shipbuilding companies usually offer ready-made vehicles of different sizes with an already equipped interior of the cabins, but you can order the construction of a boat on an individual project. To create it, the participation of specialists who will be responsible for the technical side is necessary. Both the equipment and the choice of room design completely depend on the taste of the customer.

If you want to develop an individual cabin interior, it is worth considering the features that distinguish them from ordinary rooms. To select an interior, you can draw an analogy with a small room.

Important! In this case, it is worth considering the features of the forms of cabins. Unlike rooms in residential buildings, they do not have right angles equal to 90°. This directly affects the features of the choice of finishing material and furniture.

When arranging a yacht, it is necessary to take into account high humidity and the possibility of strong pitching

Today, shipbuilders offer boats of completely different sizes. However, the larger its dimensions – the higher its cost would be. In large ships, to ensure the full existence of a person, several cabins are equipped on the ship. What to do if you need to equip a small model of a boat for high-grade housing?

Large luxurious boat interior design in white

In this case, as with the planning of small-sized apartments , zoning option is perfect. For a normal life on a yacht a person needs:

  • A place for cooking and eating;
  • Room for personal hygiene;
  • A place to rest and sleep;

The design of the bedroom-cabin in the style of a modern classic

All this is quite possible to place in a small area. At the same time, it is worth remembering that in most cases a boat is intended for relaxation. Therefore the interior should be not only functional but also harmonious.

Finishing Materials

If the project involves the use of one cabin, you can divide it into functional zones. To do this, you need to choose the right material for the piers.

As you know, a bathroom and a place to maintain hygiene should be completely isolated from other rooms. Therefore, you need to separate them with a full wall, while it is worth using materials that will not make the ship heavier. It can be wood, plastic, drywall.

Wood is the most common material for yacht interior decoration

Tip! Remember that indoor air humidity may be higher than in residential buildings. This factor should be considered when choosing a material.

How to design a bathroom interior depends on your preference. To do this, you can use both light cheap plastic and massive expensive marble.

The number of cabins must be chosen depending on the number of prospective travelers. It is advisable that the beds be completely separated from the common recreation area. But if space does not allow this, they can be combined into one room. Nevertheless, it is advisable to visually highlight each zone.

Note! For the decoration of cabins, as a rule, wooden materials are used. But if desired it can be other materials.

As mentioned above, the arrangement of the cabin can be compared with a small room, so everything in the interior should be as functional as possible. It is reasonable to use transformable furniture. Folding tables, as well as L-shaped sofas and the like, will fit perfectly into this interior.

Yacht and Boat Interior Design Ideas for any Space. Curtain zoned space in modern chic yacht

Important! It is worth considering that this vehicle is predominantly in constant motion, so it is advisable to use the built-in appliances and furniture.

Cabins are used both in the daytime and at night. Therefore, it is important to properly equip them with electrical appliances that provide light in the dark, as well as if the sunlight from the porthole is not enough.

Spotlights for deck lighting

It’s worth mentioning right away that bulky chandeliers will be inappropriate even on the largest yachts. Spotlights, which will be equipped with each zone separately, are best suited for this. Due to the fact that the cabin has low ceilings, it is impractical to install general lighting.

It is important that the cooking and eating area is lit as efficiently as possible. The place for rest should also be equipped with a lighting fixture, since during the trip you may want to read a book or do something else you love.

Due to the fact that we are talking about a vehicle, it is worth using only stationary built-in lights. For safety reasons, exclude floor lamps, table lamps, etc.

Technical Equipment

In order to make the yacht functional, as adapted as possible for passengers, you need to take care of its technical equipment. It consists of creating an autonomous system of water supply and electricity. Particular attention should be paid to sewage.

And now step-by-step. To create a water supply system, it is necessary to have a special tank that will be filled with fresh water and serve it in the bathroom, toilet, and kitchen. You will also need pipes to assemble this entire system.

Yacht and Boat Interior Design Ideas for any Space. Ventilation, water clensing and sewage system

The main source of energy that will ensure the operation of all electrical appliances in transport should be a generator.

The generator will provide the ship with electricity

The sewerage system on the yacht is significantly different from the analog on land. It comes down to a special tank, the cleaning of which is carried out only in authorized places.

Important! The clogging of both fresh and marine waters with fecal waste is punishable by law in all countries.

Septic tank with built-in pump

The arrangement of the interior of a yacht depends on its size, technical equipment, as well as your financial capabilities, tastes, and preferences. For the result to be as functional as possible, adhere to the following rules:

  • materials can be both natural and synthetic;
  • the furniture must be transformable;

On a small vessel, each square meter should be involved correctly

  • choose autonomous plumbing;
  • electrical appliances must be stationary.

When introducing new elements into the interior, consult with specialists responsible for the technical arrangement of vehicles.

The sail plan, with the powerful main sail and 106% max jib, has the ability to accelerate the X-35 out of tacks, and keep her in the fast lane upwind.

The non-overlapping jib makes it easy for a shorthanded crew or family to sail the X-35, and an optional furling headstay converts the X-35 into a family friendly yacht.

Accommodations

  • New upholstery on main cabin
  • Forward cabin with V-Berth
  • Head with manual toilet
  • Saloon with foldable table and two large sofas.

The X-35 has sleeping accommodation for eight persons, and will comfortably take a family of four out on a summer holiday cruise.

The mahogany interior gives the saloon a welcoming feeling, and the forward double cabin is roomy and has additional storage below the berth and in the wardrobe.

During racing the saloon table can be removed to create space for storing additional sails.

The split pantry and navigation section includes a gas stove with two jets and oven, a sink, storage for cutlery and a coolbox. The main switchboard can be fully controlled from the seat in front of the navigation area, and there is plenty of room for any navigation and electronic equipment needed by the owner.

The mahogany interior is hand-polished with a satin finish; and the superb joinery reflects X-Yachts traditional craftsmanship, not only when new but also in the future.

The glass fibre components, such as the engine box and the toilet section, are finished in a high gloss gelcoat that gives a modern and fresh look and, with the glass fibre head innerliner, comfort below deck is guaranteed in both warm and cold weather

Deck and Cockpit

Much attention has been paid to details on deck to make the X-35 easy to handle. Her cockpit is open and functional with a pleasingly clean layout. Her large wheel allows the helmsman to have a good view of the foresail, yet requires very little effort to steer her through the sea.

Her refined control line system, on top of the coach roof, keeps the cockpit clutter-free, and allows easy and simple handling for both family and crew. A special feature is the jib in-hauler system for improved and effective jib control, which runs neatly under the deck and back to the cockpit. All the deck equipment has been specially selected from top market brands, in accordance with the X-35’s superior design and high performance criteria.
